She’s been hired by the enemy, and I have to escort her around.
She’s just doing her job, but I can’t stand the sight of her.
The sight of that perfect face, of that perfect body.
The sight of that delicious mouth that’s only antagonizing me.

I’ve never been one to let a woman turn my head.
Let alone a woman that challenges me in every way she can.
Her smell seems to coat my nose and tongue, then seep into my veins.
And I’m getting scared.

Scared that if I don’t get some space between us, I’ll do something stupid.
Like haul her against the nearest flat surface and ravish her.
Scared that the last of my control will give way.
And that there’s only one way I can think of to shut her up.

Which is to press her against the wall and kiss her senseless…

Werebear Creek is full of more than just water to satisfy your appetite. It’s chockful of bad, possessive Bear Shifters who would love to just sink their teeth into you and make you theirs, completely and fully. Because once their mate comes along, nothing will stop them from claiming what’s theirs.

Hi there! I’m Layla Silver, and I’m so happy to see you here :) I’m a mom of three adorable kids and after all these years, still wildly in love with my awesome and hard-working husband. I LOVE to write about hot shifters, whether Wolves, Bears, or Dragons, who are looking for their mates and will do anything to protect them no matter what comes their way. When I’m not writing or spending time with my family (which is pretty rare, but I’m not complaining!), I like to be in the mountains chasing paranormal dreams.

I think this one is my favorite book of this series so far, even if it was shorter!

We continue the plot, meeting Rue, a photographer who is hired by a company, to take pictures of a land they plan to build on. To do her job safely and to not get lost in the forest, she has to be escorted by Jericho, Wren's brother, a ranger who isn't happy that the land close to his community is being assessed.

First of all, this is the type of plot I was expecting to read when I started to read this box set. I loved the nature aspect of it. The other books were too centered on the office setting which kind of put the werebear shifter theme in the backseat.

I could feel bits of my brain melting into mush when she laughed.-Jericho

I like how Rue wasn't perfect. She was nice, determined and a little bit of a sunshine even with all the pressure that she had on her shoulders, paying for her dad's care in a facility. What really made me appreciate her character was that, when she made mistakes, she was willing to admit them and apologize for them. She was sweet and likeable.

What could Jericho have possibly seen in me? I had my mother’s slender build, dark hair, and dark eyes. Unlike her, however, I was never going to pass for an exotic beauty. I was what my aunt had graciously called “modest” in the hip and breast department. I didn’t check most of the boxes on the usual list of things men wanted.-Rue

As for Jericho, definitely my favorite hero in this series so far. He was such a big teddy bear. I loved his little grumpiness and he was also very protective. He was not a manwh*re and he referred to himself as a homebody, and it was a nice change from the womanizer type. He fought his attraction to Rue a little bit at the start, but he realizes quickly that fighting it is useless. He was besotted and super caring. The way he was with her was endearing.

Being impressed was a normal, reasonable response … wanting to shut her up by kissing her senseless was not.-Jericho

The only thing that I would've changed was to have more moments of Rue and Jericho bonding, but overall, I really liked them together. Rue mentioned that she hadn't been intimate with a man for a while, and Jericho said ''I’d accepted my permanent bachelorhood'', which hints that he'd been single for a while, and he didn't think a mate was in the cards for him until he met Rue. They were just super cute together.

🔷My goodness we are getting a big clan..
You will want to read about Ranger Jericho Ashdown a BearShifter who is asked to take Rue Blakewell who is a Human Photographer around certain sites on a map given to them by a management corporation. This could be bad for the clan! Jericho is hit immediately when he meets Rue. He know he’s in trouble.
☄️ This review is my own opinion, this author is one that I love to read her books.

This book is fantastic! The next chapter in the Nokosi Creek saga and this time it’s Jericho’s turn. As a forest ranger, he is the one chosen to lead a photographer through the forest to take pictures for a land development company attempting to buy the land. The problem? It is adjacent to their village and will put the clan’s cubs at risk. He wants nothing to do with the photographer, that is, until she walks into the station and he can’t explain his reaction to her. Rue needs this job to secure private care for her father when she receives notification the facility he is currently in is closing. It doesn’t take her and Jericho long to come together but after their first time together, neither brings it up. When she gets a stubborn streak in order to take pictures at a very dangerous place, she puts herself in danger and Jericho must come to her rescue. Once she is safe, he tells her the truth about who he is and that she is his mate. It’s all wonderful from there as the two move in together and are very happy and the clan is able to step in and buy the land. And her father gets into a wonderful place that will give him the best of care.

I am volunteering my honest review for an ARC copy of this book.

Brilliant loved it.

Another brilliant book of the series. Jericho one of the rangers is asked to take Rue the photographer around the range so she could take photos needed for paragon as they wanted to purchase some land that had come up for sale only as Jericho
read the details did he see where that land was right at the back of his clan they would be close to humans and lose all the hunting grounds. Wh3n Rue turned up to introduce herself Jericho found it difficult to concentrate he had an immediate pull to Rue she was his mate but he had bigger problems the land. Jericho needed to see Sawyer they spoke about the land issue he gave Sawyer the info he needed so he could work on how to keep the land.
Rue knew what she was doing with hiking and taking her photos the first strained silence between Jericho and her had eased off and it was going good she had all the photos she needed except of two places and Jericho refused to take her after yesterday they had gone back to strained atmosphere around them it seemed to Rue that Jericho wished yesterday never happened if that’s the case she would just hike up to this place herself.
Jericho was leaving but stopped at the gate house where he found out Rue hadn’t signed out he knew where she was the weather was moving in he needed to get to her. He had refused her earlier she already puts herself in some risky places to get photos but going up to this place was mad especially with the weather.
Rue knows now how silly she had been the weather had come on everything was good on the way out but she had stayed too long now it was raining she was soaked to the skin, cold her teeth where chattering and the ground was now slippy to walk on the steps earlier seemed so picturesque now where treacherous now she was tumbling down them blinding pain erupted through her body and a bear came out of the trees.
Jericho smelt the bear before he saw it and then Rue he thought the bear would not recognise his bear smell with him being human but the bear turned back to Rue Jericho just reacted he had to protect his mate. Rue was airlifted to safety once the weather had passed Jericho had found a cave for them to hunker down in.
Rue eventually got out of hospital but only as she was going with Jericho as she had rumbled about Jericho turning onto a bear which she found out was true it meant some of her father’s rambling stories where true she also found out away they might be able to dissuade paragon from the land which worked the land is now the clans.

Honest Bear

Rue and Jericho are perfect. They are both honest hard working people who are determined to do their job and are drawn to one another but weren't going to act on it. Bears can't ignore their mates. It all worked out for everyone well. Good story!

Big Bear is book four in the series Werebear Creek by author Layla Silver. This one will keep you on your toes. It’s a sweetheart of a tale, there’s some grittiness and there’s a bit of obstacles that need to be overcome. Yet like with life deal and live.
Enjoy!!
