A cowboy and a doctor. Two paths headed in opposite directions. But could a blind date give them the love they both secretly want?
Dr. Zoey Brown had a bucket list for when she finished her Emergency Medicine fellowship:
• Review multiple offers to work at a leading city hospital. Check. • Go on a long overdue vacation. Double check. • Well, a blind date was nowhere on her list after being burned one too many times.
At her friend's urging, she ends up in western Dexin Valley to check out a new ER center. Two weeks of relaxing vacation with no strings attached wasn't supposed to be hard, right?
Yet she hadn't counted on being roped into a blind date with Dex Dexin, the one man who’d witnessed her most embarrassing moment on arrival in town.
Dex Dexin was hoping to find a wife soon who would share his love of the ranch but planned to do so on his own terms, as a man who valued his privacy.
But a chance encounter with Zoey sets off a chain reaction that has him tripping all over himself in situations that make him want to retreat into his shell.
Yet he can’t seem to forget her.
As they rediscover more of themselves, will the afraid-to-commit Zoey and the semi-recluse Dex give love a chance even if it means finding it through a blind date?
As a former physician and business executive in another life—with a childhood filled with reading multi-genre novels (including Shakespeare in the original version)—Dobi Daniels loves to write sweet thrilling romance stories with heart.
She enjoys dreaming up everyday characters who rise above unfavorable circumstances to overcome incredible odds and find love and joy along the way. When not writing, Dobi can be found binging K-dramas and ice cream with her little sidekick by her side.
I have read a few books by Dobi and this is a favorite. An embarrassing blind date turns into love for Dex and Zoey. It's a great clean romance you won't want to miss.
Zoey was in Dexin Valley to check out there medical centre and for a interview to work there but she decided to do some shopping only her skirt ripped up the back, then someone put a shirt around her to cover her and protects her modesty and also from her being embarrassed but when she turned around the man was so handsome. Dex and his brother's own a ranch and he loved that type of life but while shopping he helped a woman who had split her skirt from embarrassment by wrapping his shirt around her but what he wasn't expecting was the connection he felt to her as it had never happened before but would it lead to anything as he was the quiet and private brother out of them all. Zoey was set up on a blind date only to find out it was Dex the man from the grocery store but things didn't go very well. Zoey and Deux had a strong connection and chemistry between them but would it all work for them. Dobi Daniels is an amazing author and writer and I have read all her books and I have never been disappointed and I definitely recommend you read this book and other's by her and you will not be disappointed. I Voluntarily Reviewed an ARC Copy of this book.
Right away I fell in love with this beautiful cowboy romance story of Jax and the doctor. The BB brought me back to my hometown everyone knew everyone and the happenings of gossip, yet a big happy family, miss those days! I found this novel filled with deep emotions and the healing of pain. I hate giving away the plot, will tell you, a must read you don't want to past by. Dobi Daniels released another great romance novel in this series. I can't wait to read what truly happened to Rex, Jax's twin brother. Loved!!!! A bonus of a clean romance
It's such an amazing book!!! How sweet and heartwarming was to read it 😍😍😍 My favourite part of all was that all the characters took their strength from a font which has eternal life, give us courage and take away the fear, Jesus our King ❤️
i legit know the title sounds sooooo corny and stupid but let me tell you… this book blew me away! i truly could not put it down or skim through it! it was so engaging and beautiful. a doctor moves to a small town to interview for a job at a local hospital, meets a lot of the small towners and ends up falling in love with the charm of the town. in exchange for free stay, she agrees to go on 3 blind dates. one of the dates is a charming cowboy. they get off on the wrong foot because theres too many people watching so they feel awkward and its an awkward date but they are both disappointed it didnt go better since they both were attracted to each other. fate keeps bringing them together and they clear the air and go on more real dates. i really liked how through her blind dates, she was even met with people from her past so she could finally get closure and move on. the first loyal cowboy boyfriend she ever had also helped her call out her beef with her stepsister and get to the root of that problem too. i loved the sister in law becca she was so sweet and i really fell in love with all of the characters! it reminded me a lot of virgin river so if thats ur thing give this book a chance!
I really wanted to love this book as cowboys are always my go to when I need a break from the MC and mafia books. But this was a real let down.
To start off the main guys name was dex Dexin. And they live in dexin valley. It’s eventually explained later in the book that his family were the founding family of the town. But calling your main character Dex when their last name is Dexin just doesn’t make much sense to me.
It had the potential to be a really good story, hot shot doctor moving to a small town and meets a handsome rancher, but the story just seemed to skip around a lot. The little girl calling the main woman Zoey, auntie Zoey after meeting her once or twice. Dex’s sister in law inviting Zoey to a girls day but it was more discussing the triple wedding she was organising.
Miss prissy has a match making service but she only sets up Zoey on dates, yet Dex was meant to be the main dater?
The step sister Kate been evil, wanting to ruin anything that Zoey loved then one talking to from Dex’s brother (max and Jax) she suddenly becomes step sister of the year?
There were a few times I wanted to DNF but I wanted to give this book chance to redeem itself but unfortunately it never did.
I loved the characters in this book. I always love reading about a cowboy and especially one who is a gentleman through and through. I highly recommend this book. I gave it 5 stars because that was as high as I could go.
Could barely finish, and I’ve literally never DNF’d a book in my life. There is a lot of promise here, and the story line would be great without all the cringe but the POV the book was written in just made it rough.
It feels like every second page something cringy happens. Her skirt splits (wtf?) in public. His sister in law allows a busybody to sign Dex up for matchmaking without ever once asking him, and worse it’s published in the newspaper! Then Zoey agrees to go on blind dates in return for a few free meals (highly unrealistic unless she’s poor, and she’s not). Then the date is being watched by everyone in the restaurant because this town is full of really rude and weird people, who come up and talk to them during the date! Omg! Then his sister in law practically adopts Zoey after one meeting and is inviting her to dinner, and then to a wedding planning session? Why would you ask a total stranger to join in planning a wedding, and why would she think that would be fun? Seriously strange people in this freaking book. All of the reactions just feel wrong. Bailed at 48% done. Just too painful!
A Doctor Bind Date for the Cowboy is the first book of the series and I believe can be read as a standalone. I will say there were many secondary characters that must have been in a previous series because there were back stories not in this book. That being said you can figure it out and enjoy this quick wholesome read. The story moved really fast so I did not feel like the whole book developed completely , but it was enjoyable overall. Zoey is a doctor looking to start over in a new town and Dex is a rancher hoping he will find a woman who loves him and his ranch. Not much more to it than that. A simple, fast romance with easy to like characters. If you enjoy, simple, clean and wholesome, this book is for you. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the first book in A Cowboy Loves the Doctor series by Dobi Daniels. Dr. Zoey Brown is a successful ER doctor in New York who is too busy for romance until her friend Tara invites her to a two week stay in a western town. Zoey and Tara go to Dexin Valley and Zoey goes on a blind date with cowboy Dex Dexin. Dex has been content living a reclusive life on his ranch. Zoey meets cowboy Dex after getting her dress caught in the car door of her rental car and falling in front of Dex. When Zoey and Dex meet they are instantly attracted to each despite their awkward meeting. Dex and Zoey must decide if they can find love and open their hearts to each other after a blind date. I really enjoyed this sweet western romance novel.
Zoey decided to visit Dexin Valley after her friend Tara convinced her of applying for a post at Dexington Medical. Dex wanted to settle down with a woman who would like to stay with him in the ranch, loving the land as much as him. A well-written, funny, clean romance, I’m sure you will enjoy reading as much as I did. The only but I have is that there are not very scenes in the hospital with patients or any medical situation. Three and a half stars. I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Dex and Zoey have a really good story. Zoey arrives in town on a working vacation. She is scheduled for an interview to work at the ER Clinic. After stopping to pick up a few supplies she finds herself in an embarrassing situation. Dex rescues her and they part ways. At the B&B the owner convinces her to go on three blind dates. Imagine her surprise when she finds her Cowboy gentleman. Can they find a happily ever after or will her step sister manage to steal her happiness once again?
This was totally right up my alley for an evening of a light and pleasant evening of reading an enjoyable book with a nice cast of characters. They all had a nice way of working through their problems without using profanity and being crude and objectionable to those they don’t care for. I know I read a great variety of reading material, but it is nice to rest my soul with an author who writes so nice!
I enjoyed the plot of the story. I thought there was too much emphasis on describing how every room in the ranch house was decorated. Dex and Zoey’s romance went from just meeting to engaged way to fast. Chloe was calling Zoey Aunt Zuzu five minutes after meeting her. Her father was mentioned yet never worked into the story.
Chock full of fun characters like Becca, Miss Prissy and of course Dex and Zoey. What’s not to love about a hunky polite cowboy that cooks like a dream and plays the guitar? Looking forward to reading the other books in this series. Dobi Daniels is a new author to me but I will be reading much more by her.
Zoey has taken a vacation to check out a smaller hospital to work at. The B & B owner talks her into going on 3 blind dates. Dex her first date is a complete disaster. But things change after seeing him later. Well written story with strong and believable characters. Think this will be a wonderful series to continue to read.
This is a nice, feel good kind of story. Dex is a sweet, kind cowboy, and Zoey is a doctor who is in town for an interview at the local medical center. She gets talked into a blind date with Dex, and things progress from there. There is a later wrinkle, but of course there is an HEA.
Meh. Although the characters are fleshed out, I never felt a connection to any of them. There's no passion to speak of. And the evil sister is suddenly an angel? Didn't work for me. Spoiled rich kids grew older, but they're still spoiled rich kids. I'll take a hard pass on this series unless I need something to help me sleep at night, or during the day.
Quick storyline, everything happened within a week, almost too much. Sweet characters, but little odd to fall so deeply in love and get engaged in the week. Not keen on how characters were brought in from the main characters past (ex, step sister), not fitting to the original theme. Bit mismatched. No spice, just sweet moments.
A great love story that the Doctor keeps you waiting for results.
A great love story to start a series. You learn a little bit about the characters and this helps to understand the true storyline. Enjoy Doin Daniels did a great job writing this story and makes you feel that you are actually there watching all the different events unfold.
The story begins with a rocky meeting of a handsome cowboy followed by more embarrassing moments. The family that was responsible for the towns beginning and continued growth play the main characters in the story. When Zoey comes to town for an interview at the new medical center, she finds the slower pace and friendly people hard to resist.
I read this book a while back then read the 2nd book in the series and went back to reread this one. I absolutely loved both of these books and can't wait for the next one to come out.
This is a touching and heartwarming love story of healing and forgiveness as well as love as these two amazing people journey toward unconditional love and understanding.
