Celeste Fontanne
Complicated is too simple a word and doesn’t quite describe my life. I’m trapped in between prison and truly being free. Figuratively, I may have escaped from my cell, but I’m still very much in the building. I’d gotten a glimmer of freedom, which lasted mere minutes until it came to a screeching halt. Now, I must climb out of the dregs of my former life and begin anew. But will the green-eyed stranger be able to help me, or will he become a distraction I do not need?

Beau Scott
The life I’ve once lived had a tragic ending. Deep in my sorrow, I seek solitude in the one place that used to offer me peace. With the moon high, I witness a beautiful woman climbing out of the ocean like a seductive mermaid. Our connection is instant. My instinct fights with my logic, but I refuse to let her go. My new visitor is one big mystery on legs, but I can’t deny my desire to help her.

Two people rising from the ashes of their first marriages learn how to love again.

Francesca Penn lives in Texas with her husband and son. While obtaining her Technical Writing degree, a creative writing course and play-writing elective reawakened her desire to create stories. Her brain lives in fiction; even the songs she listens to become music videos in her head.

When she is not writing, she can be found hounding her loved ones with multiple "What-if" scenarios. As a true closet romantic, she is prone to filling up her DVR with Hallmark movies. A friend once told her that she'd trained the whole 20 plus years she'd known her to write romance since her nose was always in a love story.

Francesca believes that love is colorblind and plans to provide a mix of couples of different races and ethnicities because - to her - men are like Skittles, and we all know their motto.

At its core, this book is about instalove. There was a lot of choppy starts to this book, however by the middle of it, it began to recover.

Book-wise, I have enjoyed it a little more than I thought I would. While there wasn't anything that boasted a stellar level of a masterpiece tale, it was entertaining.

Love, forgiveness, family, and finding oneself are the central themes of the book. There was something so beautiful about how everything just flowed together to create this story.

My favorite part of this book was the unexpected fast pace sexual relationship between the two main characters.

Celeste found Beau and with his help she found hope, conquered her fears, and found happiness through their shared experiences.

This was a wonderful and unexpected surprise in a book about physical abuse and the death of a loved one.

The ending was a bit abrupt and clumsy, but I did enjoy it. This was an adventurous tale that I'm glad I embarked on.

This is an erotic, instal love story that is fun, fascinating, and entertaining. The storyline and characters are both interesting to me, and I enjoyed reading the story.

The author writings have grabbed my attention and I hope to read more of her work in the future.

Ok second book I've read from this author and I must say I'm becoming a fan. Without spoiling to much I will say that how this couple (Celeste & Besu) began kinda through me. I felt like it was to rushed but you know what as the story progress and I got to learn the characters it was right and it made sense. Celeste and Beau were two lost souls but together they healed one another. I will have to read Axel and Heaven story seems like a good one. Latoya and Bohdi need a story cause there is something there and definitely Brett needs one.

Hot Stuff and Suspense

I can't ever understand why a person feels as if he/she owns another, or forces themselves upon someone who wants nothing to do with them. It truly disturbs me. In this book, Celeste is married to a psychopath who won't let go. If he can't have her, no one can. Beau is grieving the loss of his wife three years prior. Out of the water comes Celeste who was supposed to be dead if her husband had his way. The chemistry between the two is off the charts hot. A tale of how she gets free, gets her man, and the road they travel together explodes in an awesome tale of revenge and retribution.

This a hot read for sure and some damn good writing, which I've come to expect from this author. Beau and Celeste's relationship starts off at bird speed. I mean, they have sex almost immediately upon laying eyes on each other. She gets into a car accident, emerges from the beach and boom! It is on! The relationship progresses just as fast between them and here we have insta-love. It's still a good story though and I loved the tie-in with Axel and Heaven. Now, their story is really really good. One of my favorites. Beau is Axel's best friend and attorney. Celeste's story consists of elements of that Julia Roberts movie, Sleeping with The Enemy. She's trying to get out of an abusive marriage and he ain't trying to let her go, even though he's a serial cheater. Beau saves her in every way possible. Good banter between the couple and even though insta-love, it is somewhat believable they'd get together this fast. I enjoyed this!

I tried but I couldn’t get through it. Besides this feeling like another book I’ve read, our intro to the characters set the tone (for me) and it kind of ruined everything that came afterwards. Maybe if it didn’t start with insta love (I usually don’t mind this) but given how they met just made me cringe. Maybe that little edit would’ve made it all more tolerable for me but I’m not sure. I might try and read it again, but for now it’s a dnf. Based on how much I loved the previous book I’d still try the next book in the series if there is one.

I love this book!

I’m having a hard time deciding whether Axel in Heaven or Carwrecked is my favorite.
This book was another well done job by Francesca Penn. I enjoyed this book from the beginning to end and I’d definitely recommend it.
I’d also recommended reading Axel in Heaven first so that you can become familiarized with some of the characters making an appearance in this book.
All parties got what they deserved in the book. The good and the bad. I’m hoping Officer Brett gets a story, maybe with Keri but who knows

Delicious

That was delicious!!
You know, for some reason i haven’t read Axel & Heaven’s story. I am not sure how I missed it... now I have to backpedaling, the good thing is I know I will have a happy ending.
Beau and Celeste found each other when they least expected it and need it the most; isn’t that wonderful!? In a way, they rescued each other. That’s all i am saying! They are cute, HOT and awesome together. Their road is not going to be easy, but the Lord always makes way and places good people on your path, even when the devil is trying its very best to destroy you.
the Chesterfields are something else, i feel kind of bad for Tracy. And Emma, girl plz!
Can’t wait for Brett’s story.
Great read!

This was a good story, some of it was reaching a bit but as it came to a head it all made sense. I loved the characters and I felt myself rooting for them towards the end. What I think I liked most there wasn’t a lot of crazy drama it was just enough to keep you interested and wanting to see what happened next. This is the first book I read by this author and I’m looking forward to reading other books by her.

Wow! I didn’t think I could love another FP hero the way I loved Axel. Then aBeau came along. He is the epitome of a gentle alpha. Kind by nature but fiercely protective of the woman he loves and will do anything for her. Beau and Celeste were so good together, right from the word go. I can’t wait to see what’s next!

LOVED Beau but I can’t lie, Celeste’s reasoning didn’t make sense to me. I had to put the book down and go to bed lol at one part of the book. I picked it up today and finished it.

Highly recommended, loves!

Loved it!

Beau and Celeste are a really good couple. While their relationship started out unconventional, it blossomed into something more. This read has it all!! I recommend you adding this to your library.

Good read

However I disliked 2 things in the book. One, I’m sorry for her abuse however it doesn’t give her a pass to behave callously. Not telling him about the baby for 20 weeks was terrible. She should have apologized instead of being upset that he didn’t fall at her feet straight away. She betrayed his trust. Talking to him everyday and choosing to lie everyday. The whole I want a divorce so bad I don’t want most of your money was also foolish. Wes was never going to leave her be either way. She would have been better off with money, 1 because she deserved it and 2 to pay for security. What if Ernest didn’t lend Brett and Beau wasn’t rich? Were would she be?
The second thing is regarding Sara. You can love 2 people. After 3 years Beau is a different person so is Celeste, therefore their love is just different. No better no worse. I didn’t like that the author felt the need to say that Beau loves Celeste more that he ever did Sara. That’s insulting and unnecessary.

Solid story

I love all of Ms. Penn:s work and Carwrecked will not disappoint old or new fans. Beau was introduced in Axel in Heaven and was still lost from the passing of his beloved wife. Three years after her death, Celeste unexpectedly comes into his life, shakes him out if his grief and depression and ignites his passion. She is in a world of trouble but is drawn to Beau's innate goodness and the feeling of safety he gives her. Their love story is a whirlwind and full of drama due to a vengeful ex and a lovesick admirer. This is a solid love story, but having read all her books, this is not one my favorite offerings from Ms. Penn. I didn't enjoy the coupling as much and for me there wasn't as much of a connection between the characters. Maybe because there was so much angst, or because the main couple was apart for a portion of the story, or due to the fact the ex situation was heavier than her usual fare, it just didn't work as well for me. I'd still recommend it though, just not with my normal 5 stars.

Celeste was resilient. Her theme song should be, "I'm a survivor." The sad part is some women really live like Celeste: in fear, abused, beaten, and have no one to turn to for help. Celeste impressed me with her drive to have a better life. She was her motivation in the beginning. Then life gave her reasons to keep fighting.
Beau was Beau was Beauford. Such an ugly rich old money name. He was all that love is suppose to be in my opinion. He was patient. He was not jealous (maybe a little, at times). He was understanding. He was supportive. He was strong for Celeste. He also was attractive and sexy with a healthy libido.
Together Celeste and Beau worked well. I love that Ms. Penn brought Axel and Heaven into the story from Axel's Heaven. I absolutely loved Axel's Heaven. This book is a close second to my favorites. It was interesting and held my attention throughout. I wondered why Wes was the way he was. Was it because he was a spoiled rich person or did something else happen?
I recommend this book to all of Ms. Penn's fans and all hopeless romantics. It's a great read.

Happy Reading!

Old Friend

After reading Axel in Heaven and learning Beau’s tragic story I was primed to see him find his HEA. Sitting on the beach, the same ocean that took his first love away literally drops a beauty in his lap. Celeste rises from the ocean like a nymph but she is on
the run from an entitled bully. She and Beau immediately have sex....did I say immediately? Immediately....they then try to sort out a darkly complex backstory...replete with Wes her husband, truly a bunion on the big funky toe of life, Emma Beau’s stalker/friend and Wes’ father a small town nasty mayor. Luckily, Celeste makes some astute and caring friends as she tries to free herself from the clutches of a mad man. We get to see Axel and Heaven again and I think we might have the makings of another spin off character in Brett...wonder if his new job might bring him love???
Another great story by Ms. Penn!!!!

Meant 2 Be!

Celeste and Beau meet in the oddest and unexpected way. However the moment they meet it’s whirlwind of emotions on both parts and the chemistry is instantaneous. Celeste Is a woman determined to to find her way and succeed while running from an abusive husband. With an encounter from her ex gone wrong she literally falls into the arms of Beau Scott. Beau is lonely and broken upon the death of his wife 3 years ago and determined to be a bachelor until Celeste comes his way. Beau is passionate and sweet. He immediately senses the situation with Celeste is more than she lets on. Together the navigate new feelings and intense desires that will bring you to your knees.

Yes. This was such a good story. The start was odd but sucked me in. It took a min to realize that Beau was in Axel And Heaven’s story. So glad to have them as well as Keri and my girl Latoya make an appearance in this one.

I loved Beau and Celeste. They were so good together. I despised Wes and is father. Emma could’ve kept her apology.

I’m not thrilled about Baby boys first name but I love the inspiration for his first and last name.

I want a story, if they don’t already exist, for Latoya. Someone to settle her ass down. It will probably be Bodhi. Someone to bring some excitement to Keri’s life. And Brett is awesome. He needs a woman he can love on. So a story on him I’d read stat.

So cute, refreshing and straight to the point!!!

This was the most straight to the point story ever. There was no slow motion of feelings or slow to the final product until you hit the 50% mark….
Nope this story from the beginning you knew everyone story and now it was just a matter to push through and get to the characters while they develop feelings for each other: it was PERFECTION at its best!!! Love it so much.
Beau and Celeste were cute and of course Celeste had to try me for this almost 5 months thing but unfortunately Behr and Heaven were and still are my favorite…. Now I am hoping that Brett’s side is as perfect as these two sides….

Well written and interesting story with very interesting characters

Not as good as Axel's and Heavens story but close. Can't wait to read Brett's story or Keri's story. Wes was truly evil with no conscience. So happy to see Axel and Heaven again as well as Lotoya and Keri. I see the author appear to be hinting of something between Bodhi and Latoya . I am not sure I see any chemistry there though.

I thought Axel and Heaven were fiyah but Celeste and Beau? OMG! Their relationship was equals parts fairytale, romance, erotica and action. Francesa Penn makes you fall in love with all her book boyfriends (I just don't want the hassle it takes to get them). Lol. No one can tap into crazy ex-employee, crazy ex-husband, or crazy ex-lover like Francesca Penn. She has the gift...and I'll definitely keep reading.

This was a veryyy good read. Any book that keeps me hooked till the end in a good way gets a 5 star for me, cause lately i tend to ger bored veryy easely.

I loved the fact that we got pov's from some off the side characters to better help us understand why the people do what they do.

Only con: The grammar, but with this books i could overlook it.
