In an attempt to distract myself from heartbreak (got dumped!). I booked myself onto a tour around Japan. I leave in less than a month! Although I am going on a tour there are some free days, and need some ideas of things to do in certain places. I've been before but it's always good to have a refresh and check out information on new places to visit.
I've had this book since it was first published, and I decided to save reading it, until I was actually going back to Japan. Now is that time! I think this is a really fun, cute guide, that's also very useful. I love all the photos she has included. I also love that this is a planner and trip journal! So not just a guide, it doubles up as a keepsake.
Would recommend for all those thinking about going to Japan. Would recommend watching her YouTube videos as well :)
I haven't read a lot (or any, really) travel books, so I can't compare. But I do think this one was excellent, full of practical advice and recommendations based on recently being there. I feel this will be incredibly helpful next month!!!
This is an awesome guide and it was a very big help in planning my first big Trip to Japan. It answers a lot of quesions and is fully packed with Information and ideas. I highly recommend this book to everyone, going to Japan.
Funny and very well put together. Great tips on places to visit, but also good for info about money, the train and language. It is exactly as the title promises: a trip planner that's genuinely useful.
I promised myself that I’d buy this book if I ever booked a trip to Japan, I have and I did and it’s a great book, full of really useful and interesting tips and information!!
I enjoyed this guide and found areas of it useful, but I got through it very quickly and felt a little bit cheated. Also, it’s more of a guide on Tokyo than it is of Japan, so that’s worth noting.
Again, it was still helpful, but I had greater expectations based on what the book promised. Love Amy Crabtree - she’s definitely someone worth supporting and I’d still recommend this to those traveling to Japan for the first time if Tokyo is a part of your itinerary.
