This book was interesting.. I don't really have words to put down.. It was an interesting premise and the synopsis hooked me.
It was a very PG RH, and I don't even think any kissing happened... but this was such a short book that I wasn't bothered by it since she met her "mates" within a day so I get the wanting to take things slow.
Overall it was a quick read, but forgettable... the humor in this book was good but I felt like it would have been better if I read this authors others books to really get immersed in the world.

Meo-uff! Super cute and funny. I couldn't imagine how an 80 yo FMC was going to work. It totally did, and I loved both of them!

I was counting down the days towards this book for quite some time already and yesterday I got the message that I could read an ARC of the book! You can imagine how happy that message made me and it took a little willpower to not dive into the book right away, but to keep it for this morning so I could read it in bed.
And the book was everything I had hoped it would be and even more. This book is exciting and has a great plot line with some great action, especially in the finale. The book is hilarious and I might have woken up my parents this morning because I was somehow laughing out loud in bed at times. And this book was also touching. There were amazing moments between characters and the blossoming relationships and friendships were just very heart warming.
Combine that perfection with Harlan's amazing writing style and you have an addictive book you really can't put aside. I like how during the story we're slowly getting pieces of the puzzle, and information on the different characters. It means that Harlan never needs huge info dumps to explain everything, because by the time all the truths are revealed we already have all those puzzle pieces and only need to click them.
On top of that the characters in this story are just amazing. Violet is an easy to like heroine, especially because despite everything she's very human and real. It's easy to identify with her, to understand her and therefore it's easy to like her and feel for and most of all root for her. And I also like it that we really get to know all three of her guys. Although they have their love for Violet in common, they're quite different. A fact that's mostly proven by how they react when they find out the truth.
What an awesome and perfect start of this new series. I can't wait to get all the other books and to meet all the other amazing girls and their guys.

I tried this because a friend recommended it, but I don't think it's really my cup of tea (not because of the reverse harem thing, btw, that's fine ;) ). I'm not a big fan of the whole mate/love at first sight trope, and if you add that to the constant trying of Violet to appear old by saying "dear" and giving herself points for that, it dragged too much for me to really enjoy, even though the story was okay and the showdown was nice.

Felt a little disappointed reading the blurb because I was really curious about granny harem. But then you’ve got secret identity instead, which I’m a sucker for. I liked how the story piggy backed from Amber. The point system was fun, as were the age gaps with the vamps. Favourite of the guys was Cash. Most annoying one was Nole. I liked how everything played out, Silver springs just keeps getting better.

Really Disappointing
I've read (and enjoyed) almost all of the Jewels Cafe books and was expecting much of the same here. I thought this one would be particularly hilarious because of Violet pretending to be 80yo. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The story was mildly funny, at best, very angsty, and had a poorly developed plotline. This book reads like the author was trying to insert humor into a relatively serious story while trying to build up several two-dimensional villians but unstead of spending time flushing out the details, the author ended up halfway through before realizing she'd nearly reached the max word count allotted (or writing deadline) and slapped on an ending that didn't flow at all. I was particularly disappointed in Noel's character and the way that whole situation happened - from beginning to end. Nothing about this story felt romantic beyond Liam's claim of devotion. Everything else was lukewarm.
Since the books in this series change authors, I will continue reading on. I loved both of Eva's books with Sapphire and the synopsis for Jupiter sounds hilarious. I have high hopes for that story and hope it will redeem this spinoff. The only reason I recommend reading this book is for continuity of the series. The author did do a good job tying in some of the previous books and setting us up for the next. However, if you're not particularly interested in knowing about everyone in Silver Springs, I recommend skipping this one.

A very quick PG reverse-harem read. The beginning set up to a very interesting world and relationship development, but once the evil villain was revealed, the story turned into a rushed chaotic mess. Way too much happened in way too few pages. I was quite disappointed that it turned out there would be no full detailed steamy scenes, even though there were a few short build-up paragraphs.
Noel the bear shifter flip-flopped so fast in his attitude towards Violet that I was dazed. I was fine with the fated mate/insta-lust trope in the book, but their relationships really weren't explored enough in depth for my tastes before they all just accepted each other in Violet's lives. While we may find out more about her relationship with her harem in the next book in the series, the way the latter half wrapped up in this one was very unsatisfactory for me.
I may consider reading other books in the series only because they're written by different authors. Jan 2022 update: Based on my experience with 3 different short stories in the Into the Dark anthology, I'm passing on this whole Silver Springs universe.

This is a romance?
There is no steamy scenes in this so that was a little disappointing but I can live with that if the quality of the writing is good and the story itself is worth it. This book was sadly lacking in those areas and not worth it.
I didn't feel any angst or build up. There was no feelings, no romance, there were just moments of tepid lust that always got ruined by the FMCs quirk, though I think that might have been a blessing.
For a book 1 in a series, there is a lot of things that need to be explained but just aren't and there characters mentioned that I think they might have had their own book before this book was set chronologically. These little things for me had the story skipping track? It felt like a disruption from the story's flow whenever I realized that there was something I didn't know but the author doesn't explain.
This plot is simple, the story itself is lacking in the details but mercifully bshort and a light read to pass the time. I won't bother with any other books by this writer though.

I love this book, I was hooked from the beginning and read it in an afternoon, I just couldn't put it down.
I was a bit dubious about a granny with young multiple mates, I thought it might be a bit wierd, but it absolutely wasn't what I was expecting.
The book is funny and light hearted, and I'm sure I'll be forever giving oldies points in my head when they speak!
The writing is excellent and there wasn't a slow bit in the entire book, the story has a bit of everything, mates, shifters, magic, mystery, and so much more.
Read it, you will not be disappointed.

This book was the perfect intro into the new Spell Library series. I was glad to see some familiar faces in this book and I loved the characters in this book. Violet was so hilarious. My favorite scene was the flying dildos carrying her down the stairs.😂 Everything gets resolved for Violet in this book but it opens the door for future books to unravel the going-ons of Silver Springs. I’m looking forward to the next book.

Amazing
Amazing! Mia did wonderful with this just like she did with Amber. Lots of twists and turns I wasn't expecting so I was on my feet through the whole story. And bonus: it's a RH where Granny gets her harem!

The first thing I always like to mention on these types of books is that you need to remember that this a standalone short story, meaning the story will progress quickly, so if you’re not a fan of that, don’t read this book and then turn around and give it a bad review because of that!!
Now, onto the good stuff. I really enjoyed this standalone book. We have Violet, a chameleon, who is posing as an 80 year old woman because there are some bad people after her. While in her 80 year old body, she meets her fated mates. It’s honestly hilarious watching these men be attracted to her because she’s their mate.... even though she’s extremely old lol the guys are great and even though character development isn’t top notch, like what you would find in a full length novel or a series, the author still manages to show each characters feelings for their mate. Violet also pulls quite a few emotions out of you, believing she’s not able to stay and get to know her mates, that she will have to go on the lamb again and leave them all behind. Throw in some “betrayal” and self sacrifice and this short story isn’t short on emotion. My one major complaint, is there’s no steamy scenes. I know this author writes them because I’ve read other books by her with bedroom scenes in them, but she didn’t include even ONE in this book and that makes me SUPER SAD lol I need the smutt, y’all!!!
Overall, it was a quick, fun, and emotional read that I enjoyed. Bonus for the fact that I got it free through Kindle Unlimited!

I’d listen to more of her narrations though, as long as upping the speed is an option.

Surprisingly Cute!
The cover caught my eye as something completely out of the ordinary within the genre.
I'm glad I read it, because the story is pretty adorable. I'm not sure I was supposed to read it as a stand alone, though, it definitely felt like there was a lot of backstory I was missing, so I'm going to go back and figure out where it starts.

I loved Violet ×2. The relationship and love between the Violets was sweet. I loved shy Nole and how he "pined" for Violet for a whole year before he told her he was her mate. Liam being Betty's grandson was a nice twist and helpful to have a cop on her side. And who can resist a blitch, LOL! A billionaire vampitch who rallys the town rounds out her mates quite nicely.

Unexpected and awesome
I loved this book for it's originality! It had such an unconventional premise, I was captivated the whole time. I honestly didn't expect so many emotions to come out of this book, but it was so well-written with incredibly likeable characters. I can't wait to read more from this new series of Silver Springs books!

Best I can say about this book is that it was cute and not much else. I really believe I will forget I even read this in a few months, as beyond the ‘3 hot guys fall for an old lady’ thing was about the only memorable thing about it. That and I feel Nole is too much of a whiny jackass for a main character in a standalone book. I don’t feel he was ever redeemed and genuinely just do not like the guy.

A granny harem? Yes, please! Okay, so it isn’t exactly a granny harem, but it was an amazing story. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I picked this up and I’m so glad that despite my boyfriend teasing me for reading a “granny harem” (when it had the old cover) that I did. This book had tons of heart, wonderful characters, humor, and a beautiful relationship between two Violets.
Both Violets were great, but granny Violet was my absolute favorite. She has such a sweet, loving, and caring soul for someone who isn’t even her own blood. Young Violet you couldn’t help but feel for her and what she’s going through between being in hiding, slowly watching her best friend die, and finding her mates. I think I liked Liam the most, then Cash, and lastly Nole. Betty was probably my favorite side character and I loved the friendship she had with younger Violet.
Mia put so much heart into this book that I fell in love with all of the characters. This book didn’t have too much steam unlike most Silver Springs books, but I feel like it would have been awkward if it did because of the plot. Mia, please write granny Violet her own book or novella and give young Violet another book as well! I loved getting to see new and old faces and I can’t wait for more.
Addison did a fantastic job with this narration! She was spot on with her voices, especially granny Violet’s. She switched so effortlessly between each character and managed to bring out all of their emotions. This genre can throw some bizarre things from time to time and the blurb of this book just made me hella curious to see this one pulled off without being cringe.
Now I gotta admit the story started in a cohesive manner, it's just that as it continues it starts losing details and ends up picking weak points that just makes it meh. The thing with the bad guy ends up being so.. lame. It's all over the place and makes the guy look so stupid. The whole scene towards the end feels abrupt and done just to fit in that tiny book and call it a day no matter how undone it looks.
The characters are obviously nothing fascinating but their interactions did differ. The way things moved with Nole was surprising but still welcome to not see him go gaga over Violet right away. Sadly this shit doesn't last and the transition from being pissed to being lovestruck is awkward and unsuitable for the few pages it had left to play this out. OMG, I laughed so hard while reading this book. Violet is, well, amazing and when her three guys find out that a granny is their mate, you can expect things to become quite hectic. One of the thing I loved the most was the troll cop. Trolls are usually way underestimated, so I was glad that one of her mates was a troll. But the best part is that Old Violet also finds for herself three hot vampire mates.
I read this book all in one sitting... it was impossible to put down after I started it.

Wow I kept thinking it would get better but no. It dragged and dragged and then everything was “magically” fixed in the last two chapters. It was fixed but the reader felt no satisfaction, This book read like I picked up one in the middle of a series and had no idea what was going on.
And Nole is just a childish jerk towards Violet when he learns her secret, nothing like the other two. But of course she is a doormat and forgives him with no apology.

Cute premise, execution was average. The reverse harem angle? Not really a factor. This book is definitely G rated.

I'm loving this new book series it's so light hearted and full of magic with the introduction of violet to start us off that will lead us craving for more.with her adorable cat stacks that thinks he's a dog which I found really funny to her bear shifter assistant friend nole who she's got the hots for but has to remember to stay in her 80 year old form violet which also turns out to be her name and has to try not to turn in to her 20 year self.then there's the fact that she's amber's sister and has to pretend she violet to keep her secret.things start to happen that violet can't explain after her sister donates a romance book( love blooms) to the library.then there's Liam a troll police man who comes in to spell library to pick his gran up and find that violet is his mate.he doesn't know her secret and thinks there's no chance for them and is confused as to why his mate would be so old.but violet is hiding a secret if revealed she'll have to run away.one thing after another keeps happening that will keep you on your toes.like the fact she keeps meeting people like Colin Stanton(cash) the blood-mage who says they are mates and will do anything to be with her which sent violet running to the safety of her apartment.so far I can't put this book down.I love the proves between violet and the other characters in the story and that it brings the lovable character from jewels cafe together.I found this story really funny like when violet and betty are trying to come up with a name for the blood-mage and at one point violet says vage which I though was hilarious and the flying dildos that helped her down the stairs when the lift was broke and I have to say this book dose not disappoint.like jewels cafe it's a jem of a story and you'll love every minute and won't want to put it down and I can't wait to read them

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. Firstly, I thought the premise of this book was positively hilarious and seriously creative. You don’t see romance or reverse harem novels with old ladies on the front. It’s a bit of a confusing read in the beginning. You have 2 women named Violet—one an octogenarian and one a young college dropout runaway. For more than half of the story, who and what Violet the younger is running away from is very vague until her antagonist is practically on top of you. Violet the younger, is a chameleon shifter who’s shifted into her best friend, an 80+ year old woman, and skunk shifter, who somehow keeps encountering the men she’s the mate for while she’s shifted as her elderly counterpart. Her reactions to them and their reactions to her can be kind of confusing as well. Then there was Nole the drama queen when he learned that his mate wasn’t exactly who and what he thought she was. However, once the story started picking up, I couldn’t stop reading it! It’s quirky, has some action, showed the meaning of true friendship and love, and for a reverse harem story, it was surprisingly low heat but no less enjoyable. I do hope that Violet learns to control her shifts. I read it in so little time and I think that’s one of the best things about this story. While slightly confusing it doesn’t just drag on.
