Hard mountains create brave men In 1845, Karl Kursk, a fur trader from the Rocky Mountains, is hired to guide a wagon train to California. Karl meets Corinna, the love of his life, but is forbidden to marry her. Mother Nature intervenes and young lovers become the first settlers in what will become Wyoming. The Tales of Wyoming are a collection of interconnected short stories of the Old West. Each story is a standalone adventure. A Settler builds upon the characters and relationships created in A Mountain Man.
1845 and a developing America sees a guide named Karl Kursk hired to guide a train of wagons to help people move to a different settlement but during the trip Karl finds he is falling in love with a member of the travelling party but can love find a way or is this simply another assignment that will lead to a good payday but little else?
Another well written and designed story that keeps up the series standards so far reached.
I've found these short stories fun to read. While I'm really hoping that the story of Morgan and Abigail picks back up, these side stories are still enjoyable to read.
