Set in chronological order, this collection of poems follows the life of a girl with too much time on her hands. The poems explore a wide range of topics including depression, school, friends, and black holes. Some works might be incredibly relatable, and you're able to easily step into the situations being described. Other poems flat out might not make any sense. Poetry is fun like that. Regardless, "Alternative" will have something for everyone.

As a children’s author, she likes to write stories that feature action and a little bit of mystery, and sometimes a touch of the supernatural.
