Hi, I’m Audrey. I’m a good girl. Really, I am. Bad things don’t happen to me. I have a fairly easy life and a plan for my future that was set into motion the day I was born. My parents had me late in life, so they have some high expectations. I have met them all with an eager heart and mind, until Marley Drummond stepped back into my life. Suddenly, I started to have thoughts about a different future. A future I had only fantasized about before. One that involved Marley in a major way. I may have lied to him about a couple things, one really important thing, but again, I was a good girl and plenty of not so good girls never got in trouble.
Bad Audrey was Marley’s Audrey, and I liked her more than Good Audrey, or my parents’ Audrey. Nevertheless, I had been Good Audrey most of my life so breaking those habits of pleasing my parents above pleasing myself meant making a decision about the extra luggage I picked up on Spring Break. I came back with more than his lips tattooed on the back of my shoulder.
