Rate this book
From the bestselling author of Old Dogs and Grit comes this collection of the first six novels of the popular Western series, THE LAW WRANGLERS.DEAL WITH THE DEVIL - The Law Wranglers Book 1 After several long years of trying to put the past behind him, Josh Rivers finds himself intertwined in a case that has him leaving the comforts of his life in Santa Fe for the desolation of the Staked Plains. In his quest to find a young woman abducted by the Comanche, Josh must confront the horrors of his past, as well as pull off the diplomatic high-wire act of negotiating with the Comanche and their great war chief, Quanah Parker.MOUTH OF HELL - The Law Wranglers Book 2 As tensions continue to escalate between the U. S. Army and the Comanche, members of the Rivers family find themselves involved on multiple fronts of the “Red River War.” Josh Rivers discovers his efforts to covertly negotiate on behalf of his newest client have been exposed, and now he finds himself looking over his shoulder, even in the relative safety of Santa Fe. Meanwhile, his journalist sister, Tabitha, is embedded with Colonel Ranald “Bad Hand” Mackenzie’s forces on the eve of battle. What begins as a ploy to sell more newspapers, quickly spirals into a series of life-changing events as the opposing sides converge in the Texas Panhandle.THE LAST HUNT - The Law Wranglers Book 3 Set amidst the last days of the Comanche wars, The Last Hunt continues the story of the Rivers family, whose fates are intertwined with the Comanche—and their great war chief, Quanah Parker—both personally and professionally. The decisions Quanah makes as the conflict nears its end will have a far-reaching effect beyond his Comanche nation, and the long-brewing showdown for Josh to reclaim his kidnapped son reaches its conclusion.SUMMER’S CHILD - The Law Wranglers Book 4 The murder of a prominent member of Santa Fe society brings a high profile criminal defense client to the Rivers & Sinclair law firm, but will Josh Rivers's history with both the victim and suspect make for an untenable attorney-client relationship? And what will the collateral damage be to those trying to seek the truth to what really happened on the night of the murder? As the story unfolds beyond the city of Santa Fe into the mountains north, the uncovering of long held secrets of the Rivers family unexpectedly intersects with the investigation, providing mystery on more fronts than any expected.ADAM’S FIRST WIFE - The Law Wranglers Book 5 Chaos and bloodshed befalls the Bar P in northern New Mexico as seven riders seeking vengeance descend upon the vast 30,000-acre land grant spread. Spared by the attackers—for now—is Adam Laurent, the owner of the Bar P . . . but only until his first wife, Lilith, can calculate how to best claim the land as her own upon his death. As they are given to being tangled up in such cases, the Rivers and Sinclair law firm finds itself representing Adam's second wife in the land grant matter. And, when Josh Rivers gets deputized to help investigate the incident at the Bar P, it is no longer just a legal matter—Josh’s life is on the line, too.ESCAPE FROM EL GATO - The Law Wranglers Book 6 Tabby Rivers's wanderlust leads to a terrifying abduction by the Apache warrior called "El Gato," who keeps her captive amongst his band on a remote mountaintop. Relying on both her wit and grit, Tabby knows she must do all she can to survive until the time is right . . . to escape from El Gato.

Rivers🐺🐺💃 Through Time

ADULT Historical Western🐎🗡🔫💪 Series.
These 6 books chronicle the events in the Rivers family history From the civil war to the late 1800s.
Most of the books are about the Rivers family siblings, Cal, Josh, and their sister, Who Adventure Throughout New Mexico And parts of Texas, interacting with Indian tribes And outlaws.
The family business is lawyering, And in quest of justice and the law, this leads them into many Dangerous places And around dangerous people.

The books are quite violent💪🗡🔫 in places And have adult scenes at times so are not suitable for children.

Spellbinding

I loved every minute of this series I would love to read more about tabby and Oliver and the child they raise together. It doesn't feel like it should end here. I hope to hear there is another book forth coming. You have a way of keeping the reader enthralled and unable to put the book down. If I had to I couldn't wait to get back to it. I look forward to seeing what comes next and reading gets me through the long hours of loneliness after the death of my husband. The love of my life

The Law Wranglers

This author is a wonderfully gifted writer. He writes this genre well. Even though I could not put this series down, some of it was difficult to read. It is full of tender love stories interwoven with the brutal reality of opening the West. Wisdom and love from surprising sources and brutal harshness from others made it very good reading. All said, I recommend this series as a very goodread. Thank you, Mr. Schwab, for sharing your gift.

Pretty good reading

The six book set follows the Rivers family. There is plenty of gun fights with whites, as well as, Indians. Most stories end pretty well. I would like to know what happened to Levi and Lillith. I also did not like the ending of Tabby' s story. Consider writing an epilogue. Would recommend reading books in order for better understanding.

A wonderful series

I'm so glad that I bought the bundled series as each new story only expanded a fantastic storyline. The action is fast-paced and the adventure keeps the pages turning. I found it difficult to set the books down as they grabbed you and made you want to find out what happened next.

A great series

I took this set of six books as a challenge. It turned out to be a great set of interlinked stories, with a great interesting cast. An in adventure story that kept on giving.
So if you have a holiday in the UK coming up, this will keep you enraptured between A deluge of rain.

Too much

Too much sex, not looking for a sexy romance, wanted a western. Too much explicit torture. Know it fact of times. Know what Nazi n other cultures have done too. But don't want it in my reading for entertainment.

Outstanding series

Ron Schwann has a way of weaving his stories until you are totally involved and drawn in until the very end. A series of books that was hard to put down. Highly recommend it!

Enjoyed This Series

As a fan of C J Petit I was looking for another author for western books and found Mr Schwab. I like series that have strong characters, with a little romance and some action. This series had all of these. I will be reading more of Mr Schwab's books.

Happy ever.

I enjoy tails of the old west and how life may have been before when I am sure just being was a full time job.
This story brings a lot more to the surface than just no tv or even internet. It shows politics, race, and religion.
Something to think about. MAYBE.

Read all 6 of the set, actually I re-read them. Still a great read. Love the Rivers family. I would definitely recommend any or all of them. Plenty of action. Also, there are many scenes painted like you were there in the canyons and valleys and plains.

Tabby Abuse

I didn’t like the part of Tabby have nipple cut off, I wish you had left that part out. The rape scenes with El Gato could have been described better without taking away the horror of it.

porn

The book Ghost of the Guadalupe” was great, but these (similar universe) are terrible; possibly good stories, but I had to stop reading when the porn started.

Really good

I have never been a fan of western, but read Zane Grey when I about10 and liked it. Ron Schwab writes a lot like Grey and I read The Law Wrangler and really enjoyed it.
