Victoria Pinder grew up in Irish Catholic Boston before moving to the Miami sun. She’s worked in engineering, after passing many tests proving how easy Math came to her. Then hating her life at the age of twenty four, she decided to go to law school. Four years later, after passing the bar and practicing very little, she realized that she hates the practice of law. She refused to one day turn 50 and realize she had nothing but her career and hours at a desk. After realizing she needed change, she became a high school teacher. Teaching is rewarding, but writing is a passion. During all this time, she always wrote stories to entertain herself or calm down. Her parents are practical minded people demanding a job, and Victoria spent too many years living other people’s dreams, but when she sat down to see what skill she had that matched what she enjoyed doing, writing became so obvious. The middle school year book when someone wrote in it that one day she’d be a writer made sense when she turned thirty. Besides her full time job of teaching, in 2013 and 2014, she sold on her own sold books to three different publishers. The Zoastra Affair, Chaperoning Paris, Borrowing the Doctor, and Electing Love will be published from Soul mate Publishing. Mything the Throne will be published with Double Dragon Ebooks. Favorite Coffee, Favorite Crush will be published with Jupiter Press. Now she is represented by Dawn Dowdle of Blue Ridge Literary Agency and she hopes to continue selling her novels that she writes. Moving up to the next level from hard work and determination is rewarding, and partnerships bring new opportunities. Also she’s the Vice President of Progams for the Florida Romance Writers. She’s gone to multiple conferences and intends to continue. She learns and meets so many people at conferences. Her website is here, www.victoriapinder.com, and she’ll continue to grow my web presence. She is working hard on other projects and found the time to plan her wedding this year. Before writing, her father had taken her to many star trek conventions and on her own she grew up as the only girl in the 90s at the comic book store. Science Fiction was her first love, but contemporary romance was her second. She’s sticking with contemporaries for the near future. Member of Florida Romance Writers, Contemporary Romance, Fantasy, Futuristic and Paranormal chapter of RWA, Celtic Hearts and Savvy Authors.
I have come to the conclusion that I don't like her books. She starts her books with problems and then constantly repeat the issues. She then add other issues too boot with no rhyme or reason.
I reads like an inexperienced teenager wrote this. There was no chemistry between the characters. I guess the fact that a prince asked a commoner to marry him, we should have swooned. I didn’t. It was so unbelievable that it was embarrassing. I would not recommend this book. I agree with another reviewer, the so called dramatic events where contrived and laughable. What a waste of time. Thank goodness it was a freebie, even that was too much
I give the first story three stars it's not perfect but it has potiential. The rest are total slog fest and are barely worth reading. I started the Bentley prison one on my own and hated the character so much I had to put it down. I'm glad I finished it so I can know that it got a little better but not much. But a copy editor will help because every story has the classic spell check editor issue, they are words they are just the WRONG ones. It's annoying but fixable. The lack of character development and focusing on the wrong details just call for complete rewrites. The plots had substance for the most part but needed better execution.
While the story lines in these books are okay, the editing is appalling. Sentences don't always make sense, names change, one minute someone is in one place and then located somewhere else without actually moving. Much more care is needed in editing and proofing. Makes for a very difficult read when you have to keep going back to try to understand.
These stories were disappointing. They were either super rushed or were dragged on for longer than necessary. Loose ends were left loose. Characters fell in love within 24 hours of meeting. The women seemed weak and indecisive. And the “steamy” scenes were not steamy at all. I’m very disappointed.
Victoria keeps you on your toes through her stories, you never know when a twist or a turn in the story might happen. But at some point love gets invokved
This collection varies in ratings with from two to five stars so I give it four stars. The romances each differ in characters, plots and circumstances.
I loved this collection of three of Victoria Pinder's best romances. Hours of reading pleasure. Beware once you begin, you'll find this collection hard to put down. Included are Secret Crush, Forbidden Crown and Irresistibly Lost. Great characters with lots of depth and entertaining stories. I read these individually as arcs and voluntarily chose to review.
This is a fantasticing story of Kristin when she meets Prince Antonos for a job interview as his secretary. She didn't know he wanted more than secretary he wanted a wife. This book was written with lots of details of the royal family life and the excitement and danger they can experience. It was fun & captivating read. It does contain sex scenes.
Love, love, love!! ❤ Wow, and I do mean wow! This novel was excellent and thorough without becoming explicit! I love romantic novels and this one had a wonderful storyline to keep me entertained! Fabulous!
These stories were romantic and even mysterious and thrilling at times. However, there were times when the storyline was hard to follow. Sometimes too much scenic details and background information detracted from the immediate storyline.
