The only thing worse than a serial killer that hates you... is a serial killer that likes you.
It's the beginning of the worst knock knock joke ever: a dead body, a pregnant vampire, and a murderous ex all show up on the same doorstep. Except this joke happens to be my life.
The dead body is a "gift" from the notorious vampire serial killer. Doesn't anyone send flowers anymore?
The only upside to his attention is that Nico, a one-eyed werewolf private detective, has decided to assign himself as my personal bodyguard. Even though Nico gets me hot and bothered, I'm done with bad boys. Instead, I'm determined to make things work with a new guy that I've met. A nice HUMAN guy. But I can’t take this relationship to the next level with a werewolf on my tail.
As if that wasn't enough, I'm also juggling a new cleaning job at a supernatural brothel and trying to hunt down a kidnapped baby.
Can I juggle work, romance, and an obsessed serial killer? I can, or I'll die trying.

Much like the first book, I love the idea of the plot. I love the world the story exists in. My problem is that Paige is attracted to every man she comes across. Even the bad ones. Ryan is a clear villain, yet she makes the point to say he's not my type and describes him. I hope the guy who imprisoned your friend is not your type. She's still attracted to Brent, her ex-fiance who tried to kill her. And she rushes to bed with Liam, only to find he has the type of collection a serial killer might have. Plus, she's attracted to the werewolf PI who is probably her best option. But she won't pursue him even though she's attracted to him because he's a Sup. The co-parenting and living arrangements for Izzy and KJ is completely unbelievable. Nobody meets a pair of friends and in two minutes decides to move in and let them co-parent your child and in the same moment cut out the only blood relative the baby has. I can see limiting contact to Shauna, but this couple could be Sup killers. Especially in this book. I still like it well enough to continue to book 3.
This second book is another fun read in this series! From dead bodies being given as gifts to a one eyed wolf looking out for our sassy and snarky female mc to kidnapping and so much more, this had me laughing out loud on more then one occasion.
This book picks up exactly where the first one leaves off, which means we open on a high note. Unfortunately we don’t stay there. I feel like the plot of this book was much weaker and less interesting then the first one. Yes, we are still investigating the vampire serial killer that seems to be obsessed with Paige but it isn’t the main focus and the topic only pops up on occasion.
The hunt for the VSK takes a backseat when a pregnant vampire ends up on Paige’s doorstep asking for help. While this plot line gives the readers a closer look at what a toxic human-supe relationship can look like and gives Paige pause in her own understanding of her feelings towards supes in general, overall it felt lackluster. The only thing making the situation really unique is the fact the woman was a vampire. Other than that it felt like a typical abusive husband storyline.
I really enjoy the snark and banter between Nico and Paige in this book, but I wish they would spend more time together actually doing something other than just sassing each other to death. I feel like there are missed opportunities for them to work together and lean on each other. Scenes that would help build chemistry between the two of them. Instead, those possible scenes are written off with Nico or Paige going off alone in a sort of ‘fuck you’ to each other.
Even though this book felt weaker then the first, I still enjoyed it and look forward to reading the next one.
Review of 'Grime and Punishment' Down And Dirty Supernatural Cleaning Service's Book 2 Authors Demitria Lunetta, Marley Lynn And Kate Karyus Quinn Narrator Carrie Coello Length 5 hours 53 mins
Thank you Kate and the gang for giving my the opportunity to be one of the first people to listen to and review your new Audio book. I enjoyed it so much that I listened to it straight through, I also think the clever title, 'Grime and Punishment' suited it perfectly and left me wanting more. It was great to catch up with Paige and the other characters and find out what happens next, boy Paige has a crazy life. I was hooked from the start to the cliff hanger ending and loved meeting the new characters.
Although this is the second book in the series, I think it could be listened to/read as a stand novel. I enjoyed this book far more than the first, the characters have really started to grow on me, I know feel invested in them and like the way they are evolving and personality's are developing.
I think Carrie Coello's narration of this book is superb, she has done a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life and catches Paige's personality and attitude to perfection.
If you like like fun light hearted supernatural fantasy then I think you will enjoy this mystery series of books. It is full of supernatural's of every kind you can imagine. I am really looking forward to book 3 and seeing where the story goes, I believe is due to be released very soon.
Grime and Punishment: Down & Dirty Supernatural Cleaning Services: Book 2 by Kate Karyus Quinn, Demetria Lunetta, & Marley Lynn Publisher: Little Fish Publishing Genre: Supernatural Cozy Mystery, Paranormal Romance, Supernatural Comedy, Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Mystery Release Date: October 27, 2020
Grime and Punishment is the second book in the Down & Dirty Supernatural Cleaning Services series by Kaye Karyus Quinn, Demetria Lunetta, & Marley Lynn and can be read as a standalone book (but I highly recommend reading the first book too!).
I loved this book so much! I 100% could not put it down and read the entire book in less than 8 hours.
This book is NSFW, but in all the good ways! This is so funny and I love the characters. Paige is filled with snark and heart and I am here for it!
I can't wait for the final book in the series (A Farewell to Charms) to release on January 5, 2021. I'll definitely be re-reading this book in preparation, looking for more clues of what is to come.
If you are looking for a funny, paranormal mystery, then this book is for you!
I'm so grateful to Kate Karyus Quinn, Demetria Lunetta, & Marley Lynn, Little Fish Publishing, and BookSirens for providing me with a free copy of this ARC ebook in exchange for my honest review.
Does CoVID-19 get you down? Maybe you need a pick-me-up, like a dead vampire on your doorstep? No? How about a druggy pixie who’s so high on sugar she performs acrobatics on the TV? But all kidding aside, this book is full of not only snarky humor but interesting characters. I just love her Ex’s. The human politician, the changeling are perfect foils for a strong woman with a gun.
And boy is she conflicted. She likes sex and uses it to calm her down (don’t worry; this isn’t TMI, or THAT kind of book), and strangely, she reminds me of mom. My mom was also attracted to all the wrong men and accidentally tossed away her one good chance at lifelong happiness with a good man, who I believe is Niko. But with all the baby kidnappings, serial murders, cameos from exes, you would think this is a Shakespearian comedy.
Surprising for a book with an anti-racism theme. And really, I started taking notes on how to approach things. If the characters can look at a destroyed wall and see it as an opportunity for a new skylight, I can see wearing a mask as a fashion accessory....if I don’t choke on it first. LOL.

Welcome to Page's world. Full of fairies, werewolves, vampires and all in all, absolute chaos. In a world that tries to cope with the discovery of the supernatural, she tries to find her way. With stubbornness and puns. The books in the series are direct sequels of one another, the predecessors of which should be read before starting this book. This time it's about a vampire killer (already featured in the first book) who, for whatever reason, likes Page. While she tries to find out more, Page suddenly has a pregnant vampire at her door and at the same time has to deal with the fact that she has problems with her business. It was a good continuation, which brought the characters even closer to me and at the same time expanded the world in which they live. It felt a little cringy in places, but there were so few places that I could overlook them.
The way in which the book is written makes it really pleasant to read and I had a lot of fun with the absurd situations and dialogues that partially unfolded on the pages. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a more humorous way of approaching more serious subjects. And of course you should also like having supernatural beings in a modern setting.
This sequel certainly didn’t disappoint! Paige is still struggling financially since losing her clients to a new supernatural startup cleaning company.
To say that Paige’s life is complicated is putting it mildly! She’s living in a house which should be hers but is owned by her ex husband, Jax. Darron, sometimes known as Daphne, has been rented a room there by Jax and Paige can’t do anything about it. Then there’s Shauna, her ex-sister-in-law fairy, who is an addict and psycho to boot, who just moved herself in.
To top it all off, she finds a dead vamp on her doorstep with a warning to her. Nico, a werewolf PI with an office next to hers, is investigating a vampire serial killer and is the first person she thinks to call but he gets what he can from the scene and tells her to call the police.
But this isn’t the end of her contact with the vampire serial killer. This story is very complex but extremely enjoyable. It has good people, bad people, rogues and one very frustrated heroine!
I received a free advance review copy and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
3.4 stars The second book in this series seems to be way better than the first, just because Page wasn't as extremely horny all the time as in the first book. The first had a crazy plot twist and heart aching scene when love turns into violence and betrayal. But seriously, I enjoyed this book way more just because Page dialed down the constant horniness a bit.
The author seems to be very focussed on weight and looks, to the point that body shaming happens too much and for no reason. This seems very much the early 2000s mindset, where having any percentage of body fat above zero is remarked upon, critiqued or made fun of. And when having a normal female body is supposed to be defended by the main character, it is only done to shame skinny women and in the context of fuckability. A lot seems centered around men and their opinion of women`s looks. All this can be very exhausting.
If the side characters and world wasn't so fun, I would drop this series.
This was a great second book. Straight off the high from the first one, Paige is still struggling to handle her unwanted supernatural house guests and all the issues that come with them (broken TV's, pregnant vamps, Ex's and more). Add Nico, a werewolf who just might be looking for more and Paige is straight up done with it all. Can't a girl just have a nice Human boyfriend? I loved this book, it was snarky, suspenseful and I certainly did NOT see the big reveal coming at the end. I was yelling at Paige to GTFO by the end. And of course its a cliffhanger, which is slightly disappointing, however the next book will be out around January. I was given a ARC and decided to leave an honest review.
This is another amusingly cute book in the series, good for a cute, light read. It is not quite as good as the first one unfortunately and when I got to the end, I found myself flipping back and forth seeing if I had missed something since it just seemed a little... unfinished. Book One solved the mystery, tied everything up, then dropped a cute little "oh no, that's going to be the sequel so I WANT to read that." Book Two solved the mystery, tied some stuff up, but then dropped a massive cliffhanger that you HAVE to read the next book or it just seems unfinished. Don't get me wrong, I still can't wait to read it, I just sort of wish I had waited until Book 3 came out so I didn't have such a big cliffhanger.
I did receive a free ARC of this book, but my opinions are all my own.
Laugh at times out loud story that does well as a standalone. Paige works as a cleaning woman and is getting desperate for a job, boy does she find an interesting one, really enjoyed those parts. She has a pixie that has moved in and a great guy that's a down to earth good guy as a roommate, loved him, but she was more than enough to annoy me immensely. Lots of supernatural characters show up in her life uninvited, but by whom? The mystery is resolved and most things are tied up pretty well with a big known problem for Paige at the end. Looking forward to the next. Received this for an honest opinion from BookSirens.
Paige is having problems again, all having to do with the Supernatural, at the same time she is fighting her attraction to Nico, a werewolf P.I. In the meantime, a serial killer is on the lose and he is fixated on Paige. This book contains broken TV's, kidnappings, a new job, a new man, dead vampires, and plenty of drama from the characters. I feel sorry for Paige, things have to get better, don't they? I also applaud her for her strength in getting things settled and not letting anyone railroad her, she is definitely a fighter.

Paige has to be snarky with all the quirky people that come and go in her life. Cleaning up when there are killers, dead vampires, ex boyfriends, werewolves and even humans, can be nerve-racking. You will laugh out loud at some of the situations she gets into and wonder where her head is at during others. The characters are varied and have great backstories. The quest for the truth and living through this mess is the real objective. The storyline is strong and filled with fun times, too. Can not wait for the next book.

I just recently found this series and was immediately sucked in. Our heroine Paige is a human struggling with accepting the fact that the supernatural is real and very much involved in her life. Paige makes most of her money cleaning up supernatural messes. It’s gotten her on the “Humans First” radical groups radar. Paige is snarky, literate and fallible. I love that she isn’t perfect but with each book she becomes more aware and less prejudiced. Her roomie, Duncan/Dorothy, is adorable. This is a humorous mystery that will leave you wondering. Though this is the second in the series it can be read standalone.
[audio book] Length: 5 hrs and 53 mins Narrated by: Carrie Coello 3.5-4 stars - did a nice job of distinguishing the characters, without going over the top with the 'Jersey girl' attitude/accent. ---- A, not quite, cozy mystery. Quirky 'Jersey shore' characters, with attitude and sass, surviving in a new paranormal world order. While this does use some rough/crass language it's not over the top and it suites the characters portrayed. The heroine has a crusty exterior to hide her soft, gooey, and slightly emotionally bruised, heart.
So Paige has an admirer, well, another one. Except this one is leaving bodies. Can we say ewww? Because one homicidal jerk in her life isn't enough. Oh and a pregnant vampire, that's different. But the business might be savable with a new client, a steady client. A brothel that caters to the supes and those wanting some supe action. But a very respectable place nonetheless. Can I say I do love how sex-positive this author is. And LGBTQIA+ friendly. I very much appreciate. The drama is non-stop for Paige, Supernatural Cleaning Service and Supe Savior Extraordinaire!
Werewolves, vampires and pixies hopped up on sugar oh my!! And let's not forget the serial killer. This is the interesting world Paige lives in and I love it!
This audiobook, #2 picks up right from where audiobook #1 left off so no time was wasted. The sassy snarky humor had me bustin a gut and my son lookin at me like i was insane. 😁. It's action packed and fast paced.
I highly recommend this audiobook but also recommend starting with the first audiobook. If you like unique stories with multiple supernatural entities and lots of humor these are worth every penny.
What did I like about this book? The characters, of course! The lead character has been hurt by past loves. Her husband discovered he was a fae and cheated on her. The last boyfriend tried to murder her. Now it seems a vampire killer is stalking her. This is her story. She makes me laugh with her snarky quips and the way she looks at the world. The werewolf PI is hot too. Liam, well, you will see. Although, I thought he was a keeper. Anyway, I would recommend this book as it was a good one.
This series is kind of unique. I really like this series. The Mc cleans up after supernatural messes and the goings on are quite different and sometimes freaky. The world building is quirky and the characters are complex. I was hooked on this book after the first chapter. This is a very delightful paranormal read.

I really liked this book, it has romance, mystery, supernaturals and it has a funny side. However I felt the lack of reading the first book, this was the first I read from this author I saw that there was the first one has an ARC but no more spots available I will have to buy it because I want to read it. I loved this storyline and it is very well written.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Paige is as busy as ever, only now she’s added a pregnant vampire to her household and the vampire serial killer is fixated on her. Just another day at the office. Luckily she has Nico, her hot werewolf PI neighbor to help keep her safe, as well as Darren/Daphne, her housemate, to keep her sane at home. Paige works through everything thrown at her with a healthy dose of snark and a hidden heart of gold. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.
Grime and Punishment has things heating up for Paige. The complications in her life have me devouring pages to see what will happen next. The world building continued to intrigue me. The tensions between Nico and Paige just keep getting hotter. Plus the drama around VSK has me concerned for Paige. This story has me so engrossed in Paige’s world that I don’t want to leave. I definitely binged this story and then jumped right into the third book.
Paige is taken by surprise when a pregnant young woman shows up at her door. But most shocking is that not only is she a vampire, she is her exes almost sister in law. Love these characters. They're funny, and absolutely fascinating. Action, some suspense, and crooked politicians. There are plenty of twists in the plot that kept me engrossed in the pages of this book.
Another fun read in the series. I saw that ending coming a mile away, but I enjoyed myself - and actually laughed out loud - while getting there.
Carrie Coello is again the narrator for the audiobook version of this novel. You can tell she is having a lot of fun with this series, as it shows. I’m enjoying her work a great deal.
What a great way to spend the weekend, lazing about and listening to these novels.
The book pick up right after (and I mean like minutes after!) the first book so you really need to know what has happened before. The book delves deeper also into the world of supernaturals and especially vampires. I enjoyed the lore created here a lot.
There are new characters that come into play on this one and I’m glad I listened to this as an audiobook since the different voices the narrator does helps a lot and they are distinct from one another.
I’m curious to see what comes next though I’m not too pleased with the potential love triangle that’s brewing (though that might just brew if that final twist is any indication)
Grime & Punishment is the second book in the Down & Dirty Supernatural Cleaning Services series. This is a book that will have you laughing at the quirky characters, supernatural species, and situations that plague poor Paige. I can't wait for the next book in this series. I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.
This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building. Can't wait to read what the author brings out next. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Paige and the quirky set of characters that are a part of her life have plenty to deal with. A dead vampire, a pregnant vampire and two kidnappings are just a part of the fun. It is nonstop chaos at every turn. I am really enjoying this series and can hardly wait for the next book I received a free copy of this book from Booksprout and am voluntarily offering this review.
