Miriam Minger says: It's been a wonderful experience to have all my novels published as eBooks, but the greatest thrill for me as a writer is when readers take the time to let me know they enjoyed my stories...
"I have read hundreds if not thousands of books in my lifetime and not once have I ever been moved to comment on one until now. This is without a doubt one of the best books I have ever read. I laughed. I cried. I remained at the edge of my seat devouring every single word you wove with this incredible story. I just wanted to let you know how deeply this story moved me and to thank you for creating it."
Wow. This one left me speechless, and thankful. I had done my job, which is to make you feel like you've dropped feet first into a world that captures your imagination and emotions so vividly you might be living and breathing the story. And that's one of the purest joys of reading, isn't it? I know it is for me, and it is my hope to continue to write books that make you live and breathe the adventure, laugh and cry, and that touch your heart.

My review :
Will he be able to help her restore her name ...
This is my first read by Mrs Myriam Minger, a sweet tale of trust and faith. A short story of two people attracted to one another but torn apart by gossip mongers. Sage has been maligned because she was found at the wrong time at the wrong place ever. Hoping to still make a new life for herself here, she is soon vilified by others wanting her removed from their town. Andreas kept his distances when he was told Sage previous trade, still he can’t shake her out of his thoughts. He believes her innocent of any wrong doing, but how to prove it when he can’t even speak to her. As I do not know the other books in this series, I can’t compare. This is a love at first sight story, without knowing one another, they were from the first glance bond to the other. A cute story of a rescue, with two very young people (both eighteen) meant to be together if they can overcome the difficulties set on their path. 4 stars
A special mention for the lovely cover.
I was granted an advance copy by the publisher, here is my true and unbiased opinion.
There is nothing better than a sweet western historical, and when Miriam Minger, puts her amazing storytelling pen to work, I know I will love every word written! This series has been so special and the best part is that the characters from each story continue to appear and it is like visiting old friends! Sage (I just love that name!) found herself stranded in Walker Creek and was desperate to find a job. Unfortunately one innocent move had her accused of being a fallen woman and she was shamed by the people in town. Joshua, the blacksmith in town was being stalked by the mothers with marriageable age daughters and it was all he could do to not be surrounded by them! But he had noticed Sage and in one fateful event, they were brought together.. A wonderful story of healing of the heart with a little help from forces that cannot always be seen but felt and the igniting of a forever love.
Sage: A Sweet Western Historical Romance Walker Creek Brides #5 Miriam Minger ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Sage Larsen has had a rough time of it. Seeking some relief from the hardship that has followed her to Waller Creek, Texas she hiked to her usual spot in a bid to forget some of her troubles. Yet she can't seem to escape her thoughts or the cruel predicament she's embroiled in, her life being at risk if she utters a word to try and clear her name. Now the women of the town are threatening to run her out of town and it's only a matter of time before they get their way. Where will she go? What will she do? What she doesn't do is look where she is going and runs right into a horse and rider. The horse clips her in the side of the head and it's rider rolls off of the horse making a sickening thud as his body hits the ground. She is wounded, but is more worried for the man. Thinking he's dead she covers him with her cloak, hops on his horse and rides for help.
Andreas Hagen doesn't like it that he is now the most eligible bachelor in Walker Creek and is besieged by mothers hoping he'll escort one of their daughters to the St. Valentine's Day ball. He really doesn't want their attention as only one woman has ever caught his eye, and Sage would never be welcomed in church or the ball room either. She has a bullied reputation, but a gut feeling tells him that something is off and he doesn't believe it's true. Why not invite her to the ball that will get the whole town talking, but before he knows it he has almost run the object of his attention down in the street and knocking himself out. When he comes too all he sees is Sage jumping on his horse running for help for him yet she's the one bleeding from her head. As he sits with her she says things in her delirium that proves he's right. She is innocent. Now all he has to do is prove it to the town which is easier said then done.
Miriam Minger brings us a fantastic sweet historical western that will keep you reading long into the night. I absolutely adored this couple. They were perfect for each other. I was rooting for them from the get go. I'm not usually a fan of sweet reads, but this was a great book and if you enjoy sweet reads you really should read this. Ms. Minger this was wonderfully sweet story that I really enjoyed.
Andreas is the only boy in the family which makes his story especially sweet. Like his sisters he is a hard worker and believes in the power of love. Sage is an outsider who is down on her luck. An accident gives Andreas the perfect opportunity to come to her rescue and allows them to share their feelings with each other. Once again the community comes together and another wedding takes place in Walker Creek.
Unpredicted romantic relationships are at the heart of the entertaining historical stories in the Walker Creek Brides series, and in the fifth book, countless obstacles could keep two people from ever finding the happiness that each deserves. Sage has been wrongly labeled as a fallen woman, yet none of the supposed facts which Andreas has heard about her matters one bit to him. Though there seems like there is no way that these two could ever find a way to be together, a mishap and a little spiritual assistance may make all the difference in how their futures turn out.
After Andreas Hagen comes to live in Walker Creek Texas because his sister relocated there, numerous women in the area would like for him to be attracted to their daughters. Though some men might love all the female interest, he already has his sights set on Sage Larsen, a resident whose past behavior has many of the townsfolk thinking badly of her. While Andreas is trying to come up with a good plan that would allow him to speak with Sage, an opportunity arises when least expected.
SAGE is overflowing with emotional developments plus heartfelt reactions, and Miriam Minger once again gives her characters such believable personalities. I have enjoyed all the books in the series, and this story is especially profound because of such intense scenes and honest responses. There were times when my heart ached for all the distressing events that Sage had to live through, and the author made each moment so affecting. I had to admire Andreas and his determination to make up his own mind about her, not listen to what others had to say. There are several very good lessons in SAGE, which are certainly just as significant in the modern era as they were back in 1888. I am so glad Anita gets her own book next. Rating – 4.5 Stars
A very sweet love story between two young people who can see beyond the town lies. Sage lost her family to the flu, then her money to a train robbery on her way west. She was dropped off at Walkers Creek . She was told at the telegraph office about the ladies maid job and went to apply. Only to find out it was a brothel. A couple of days later a raid was had and the madam threatened her not to tell. Sage never participated in anything g in the brothel but was labeled by the town ladies . Andreas the blacksmith had seen her around and never believed any of the tales. When Sage saves Andres life even though she was hurt the two got closer and some more thirty came out. But the town ladies were determined she is run out. The sheriff is looking into the goings on. Will the truth come out and their love survive? It was a enjoyable read and I love the cover!
Sage (Walker Creek Brides Book 4) by Miriam Minger 4.5 Stars I absolutely love this series! Sage is a young woman who lost her family to influenza and ended up having to get off the train at Walker Creek after someone stole her reticle while she slept with her train ticket and what little money she had left in it. Needing a job quickly to earn her enough to continue her journey she took the first maid job offered but she was too pretty to not tempt bad people to take advantage of her. The storyline is engaging with great characters you would love to be a part of. This was such a great story to read at a time when I needed a good hearted lift. I want to live in Walker Creek! I highly recommend this book, and this series, and definitely this author! Miriam Minger is an amazing gifted writer who doesn’t disappoint! Happy Reading♥️
I felt for Sage who lost her family, was forced into human trafficking, and shamed for things beyond her control by the townspeople. Andreas was a nice young man who had an instant connection to Sage and wants to marry her, but will she ever be accepted in Walker Creek? I was surprised that Ingrid’s husband Joshua, a former sheriff, was so quick to judge Sage without hearing her side of the story. There was plenty of suspense with them both being knocked out by his horse, the townspeople ready to drive her away despite her injuries, and her past coming back to haunt her. Anita was so funny with her suspicious about the new attractive minister. I’m looking forward to her story next.
The author has penned a beautiful and heart warming story of love and restoration. This is Sage and Andreas' story and the character development is wonderful. Sage has suffered much hurt and humiliation in her young life and the town's judgment on her character is overwhelming. Yet, Andreas' bumps into her and is captivated by her and strives to make her his own. Will they be able to restore Sage's reputation and reach a HEA. Be sure to read this story to find out. I really enjoyed this story and highly recommend it. It is a real page turner and once you start reading you will keep on until you have finished.
First off let me say this book was an entirely new genre for me. I found it quite easy and quick to read and a refreshing story base. The story takes place in Walker Creek, Texas late January 1888 concerning a young lady - Sage - inadvertently caught in a brothel when it was closed down. Allowed to stay in Walker Creek she was taken in by a couple who ran the local mercantile store and had some idea of what it was like to be outcasts in a new place. She kept to herself but there were a group of ladies preparing to have her run out of town because she was thought to be a prostitute. On this particular Sunday while everyone attended Church Sage was at her favourite spot -- Walker Creek. It was on her way home that the heroine - Sage - and the hero - Andreas - met by accident and set their story in motion. Andreas had bumped into Sage on the street and had been fascinated by her ever since. It goes on to tell how these two over came adversity and had their own Happily Ever After. I enjoyed this book and would recommend reading it for sheer pleasure. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This series has me hooked! I could never decide which one is more romantic. Andreas…sigh…what a wonderful man chosen for Sage! I love how so protective he was of her!
If only these epilogues would be a little more in depth!
This was another interesting and a little different from the other stories. This is what a I have enjoyed about this series. Each story has had held interesting developments and finally romance. I am sure you will enjoy Sage as much as I have.
