3.5 stars. When you’re in the mood for wham-bam, rough, tough, rude, and dirty-mouthed possessive, demanding, explosive actions, you are at the right address.

The dialogue was mediocre but hey it’s wasn’t about that. It was about the sexual tension and activity and the danger and that was all deliciously written. That’s this author’s expertise!

Okay! I loved this!! This is my favorite book this author has written so far. I enjoyed the Marchessi series because it was action, a light easy read and SMUT.
Giorgio was different. I've never read a book by this author that has such a passionate love story before. Like I said, it's normally smut but her book I read, Ambrose, dealt with PTSD and vulnerability which is my favorite ❤️
This was a great read and the people who are giving bad reviews don't know what they're talking about.

solid start to a series, yes you can read this series, not having read the others by this author, but Devil does come up from the Marchesi family books.
Giorgio and Lane were cute, they didn't have too much going for them besides always getting it on. The other plot with Alan was good enough to keep me interested.
I see that Nialls book gets better reviews than this one, so i am looking forward to his book!

I took a risk with this one after being somewhat disappointed with the Marchesi family series. I think this was even more disappointing. Alpha males throwing themselves a pity party is more a turn off than a turn on, & Giorgio liked his pity parties. The dialogue was cheesy & unbelievable, from Giorgio, to X I cannot believe men would realistically speak to each other that way. The dialogue in the sex scenes was often cringe worthy, as it was throughout the book. I won’t be reading anymore of this series & quite possibly the author. My opinion differs from other reviewers, but my suggestion is don’t buy it, borrow it

October 21, 2020Okay, I sound like a broken record. I’m well aware. This isn’t holding my interest because they had sex too soon. Was it hot? Hell yes! It would’ve been even hotter with more yearning and resistance (ah yes, resistance. My favourite word.)

Great spin off of the Matches family. One thing Silvia Violet is good at, is sexy dominant men and I enjoyed Giorgio and Lane. Can't wait for Niall and his HEA.

I like total alpha males, but for some reason I didn't like Giorgio. I guess I found him too pushy, and it was actually a turn-off for me on how he was treating Lane (I don't care that Lane liked it - I didn't).
I won't give it a rating since I didn't finish it - and also I seem to fall into the small amount of readers that didn't like the book.

Oh God this was....
How do I say this, lack of seasoning especially the romance part, I just feel like they just went from to occasionally fucking each other to head over heels so quickly there's no room to explore more.
And the mcs were so messy and insufferable

I liked the book. Giorgio tried to fight what he felt for Lane but it was useless. They couldn't stop their feelings and both fell hard. I loved Lane, his strength and attitude, despite all that was happening, he didn't break under pressure

Ok...While I seriously enjoyed Remington, its almost a do over of this book. I say that because Giorgio came 1st.
You have a threatened character, close proximity(cabin on the woods vs a New Orleans GD mansion), a kidnapping. Big sexy alphas being vulnerable in love...& twinky guys who like the big, sexy alphas being rough in bed.
Seriously.. Time to change the formula !

Giorgio and Lane had explosive chemistry and don’t even get me started on the dirty talk - I’m surprised my ovaries didn’t combust.
Giorgio was arrogant and I immensely enjoyed the moments where Lane got under his skin. Lane was feisty but his need to be dominated roughly made Giorgio perfect for him.
This book was absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend it.

I was so excited when I heard Vigilance was getting their own series and Giorgio is a thrilling beginning to the series. I adore Lane and his feisty, sassy attitude. He’s a breath of fresh air and exactly what Giorgio needs in life. Speaking of, Giorgio is everything I wanted and more. I was intrigued by the glimpse of him in Devil and learning all about him just made me fall deeper.
“He was the last man I should want, but I was past the point of no return. He was mine, and I wasn’t going to let him go.” If I ever end up in a nowhere cabin, I’d like to call on Lane and Giorgio to keep me company. They’re intense, smoking hot and full of tenderness. Low angst and high heat = one happy reader. ‘Giorgio’ had the perfect balance on the whole ‘Should we? Shouldn’t we’ dynamic. The power play between Giorgio and Lane was thoroughly engaging and the sex was scorching hot!

Really good book!
I loved the characters - Lane is sassy, bratty and fantastic at getting under Giorgio’s skin. Giorgio the dangerous, hurting ex-military doesn’t know what’s hit him when Lane sets his sights on him.
I loved how the book pretty much starts with them getting it on straight away ❤️❤️
Really great story too 😊 think I may need to go back to read some of the author’s previous characters as they show up in this book.

Explosive chemistry and a fast paced story had me reading this book in record time. I loved both characters. They were SO hot together!

Not much to say about this. Entertaining and easy to read. It gets a pass because it's not horrible, but I can't give it more than two and a half since it was nothing new and the plot was mostly surreal.
I love bodyguards, stalking plots and force proximity. What I don't like as much is the domincance and sub dynamics; I don't hate it, it's just not my fav. However, it was not anything kinky, just an overly controlling alpha male with a twinky guy who like to get pinned down. If you like this dynamic more than me, you will enjoy it more too.
The stalking plot felt shallow. I love when the stalker are really creepy LOL The stories where our MC is truly in danger and the stalker hovers over him throughout the whole book. Here, however, the stalking was more like a pretext? Not that Lane's life is not in danger, but I wouldn't say this is a stalking trope story more than a forced proximity and dom/sub one with a hint of forbidden love.
Giorgio works for Vigilance, and even though they don't normally work as bodyguards, when Lane, his boss's secret son, gets in danger, they make an exception to protect him. The two end together and alone in a small and rundown cabin in the middle of nowhere. Ther's much of getting to know each other, steamy time and that kind of thing. The stalking issue comes and goes, but as I said, it felt secondary.
It's not until the end that the story is conducted towards that, as our super baddass guys plot a plan to take than the stalker and his allies. Action, however, is short-lived and ends as fast as it starts. This only strenghtens my opinion that the stalking plot was more of a pretext and not the main point. And that's a pity because I at least look for tension, danger and a little bit of drama when reading this kind of story.
The characters aren't anything else either. Giorgio is the usual dominating guy, used to order around an being obeyed. Lane, on the other hand, is sparkly, fast-mouthed and likes to get under his skin. Their romance is not one I will remember in the long run, but that doesn't mean it can't be enjoyed at the right time. Sometimes, you need something light and uncomplicated like this, and I bet may would love it more than I did.
With all, the book felt short and I read it in the blink of an eye. There's much dialogue and there's not a moment when I felt bored, so it gets a pass from me.

Talk about awkward, when your hot one night stand turns out to be your next client, you spend all the time distancing yourself until you break and take control of the bratty little guy. An ex boyfriend can't take the hint and leave Lane alone so his mother calls in unbeknownst to him his father's help. Giorgio and Lane are stuck in a cozy remote cabin where sparks fly and feelings arise but when their cover is broken they hightail home. A plan is put in place much to some annoyance to catch the bad guy and thats where things go crazy, secrets are spilled and identities revealed, will anybody be the same again.
