I received this book as an advanced reader's copy because we are always on demand for yoga and stress relief material in our collection. I loved how this book was organized and the layout presented because the layout put the mind at ease which made it easier to read. Also, I loved the pose guide in the beginning and the pages in the book where they were explained because people have questions all the time about how the poses work and what they are meant to do for your body. I also loved the photos presented in the book in that they were easy to follow and were a good visual for the reader. This is why we give the book 5 stars!

I was pleasantly surprised as I made my way through Power Yoga. I was expecting a few moved here and there, some aimless writing but Leah Cullis really came through. There are sequences, directions for aligning yourself, tips for teachers, and even help customizing your own plans. I wish I would have picked the book up when I received it. I would have been so much further on my you journey early on. It's a must have book for every stage.

What I really liked about this Yoga book, was that it was not intended only for super sportive people that can bend their body so easily as the yogi do. So it started slow and gave me also all the backup information about chakra and usefulness of the right movement for specific part of the body. I really appreciate that and I will strongly recommend to every Yoga fan.

Vivamente raccomandato.

THANKS EDELWEISS FOR THE PREVIEW!

I received this book from a Goodreads giveaway, but that does not affect my rating and/or review. I'm a beginner so I can't speak for more those advanced in yoga practice. This book has everything I was looking for. The first three chapters before you get to the poses are The Power of Yoga, Intention and Power Principles. The book then goes into specific poses which is the majority of the book. Each pose's description is divided into sections: About the Pose, Alignment and Modifications and Adaptations. Each pose section has very nice, easy to understand photos. I recommend this book.

A bit muddled on whether the target audience is teachers (teaching tips throughout) or students (basic info on 8 limbs, starting your own home practice.) I did appreciate all the photos and pose mods.

Extremely practical book for first timers in yoga. It offers comprehensive guidance on starting small and customising on your own based on advanced learning. Definitely worth having a copy.

A fantastic book! I fully enjoy it. It teaches from begging and zero experience. Loved the teacher tips at the end of each chapter. Completely recommended!
