Can he overcome his pain and heartbreak in time to save the woman he loves?
Life had always come easy to Navy SEAL, Asher Thorne, until a overwhelming loss made him doubt his ability to protect the ones he loved. Devastated, he has no choice but to push on and do his duty.
Eden York’s job as a translator took a dangerous turn when she was asked to work on a highly confidential project in Venezuela. She thought she knew the risks, but with the fate of a nation at stake, they didn’t matter—she had to help.
Eden’s international team of experts is targeted by terrorists, trapping her in an unimaginable situation. When Asher’s team is sent in to rescue them, he wants to believe that this time will be different, this time he can protect someone worth saving, even if he has to sacrifice his own life to do it.

Is it the emotional overload? The humour breaking up the intense moments? The team camaraderie? The intense connection between Eden and Asher? Whatever the secret formula is, this author found it! I started this story and could not look away as all the characters found themselves in a(nother) life threatening situation. The stakes are always high when lives are on the line but this team knows how to figure things out… Each story is unique even as it follows a similar theme, with characters carving their distinct place in the Night Storm world. As Asher’s grief pushes himself to do even more, Eden is able to save him even as he helps to save her… The connection deepens and so does my love for these characters.
This has quickly become one of my favourite military romance series and I don’t want it to end… ~Diane, 4.5 stars
I love all of Caitlyn O'Leary's Seal stories but Night Storm are my absolute favourite team, there is just something about these guys and I'm delighted Caitlyn writes stories about them just for me! Having had a soft spot for sexy and funny Asher since Kane and AJ's Eurovision story I was really excited to read Her Chosen Protector and was definitely not disappointed, it’s so good and I’d choose Asher every time! Asher Thorne is still reeling from the tragic death of his older brother Xavier and struggling to cope with his feelings when his team are sent to Venezuela to rescue a group of international financial experts. Working as the translator for the group feisty Eden York finds herself caught up in a life-threatening situation whilst desperately trying to hold everyone together. Eden and Asher end up trapped together and spend the time getting to know one another and exploring the connection they feel as the Seals race to set them free. A born protector to his core, Asher is perfectly matched to strong, resilient Eden and desperately wants a future with her but first they have to survive. Eden is yet another of Caitlyn O'Leary's characters I want as my best friend, she's smart, funny, sparky with a hidden soft heart and nothing keeps Asher's lioness down for long. Action packed and exciting, containing plenty of humour and touching on tragedy the story kept me gripped throughout, I adore all the Night Storm characters and as ever was left wanting more! I can't wait for the rest of the stories and was there a hint of a new team in there too? I loved this story and highly recommend you read it! I received an arc from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review, all opinions expressed are my own.
Loved every single thing about the latest book in the Night Storm series from Caitlyn O'Leary! This woman writes killer SEAL stories!
Asher sucked me from page one while he's reeling from a personal tragedy and just left me heartbroken. Then the action begins and O'Leary doesn't take her foot off the gas until the end.
Being tasked to rescue civilians is always dicey because you can never predict how they'll react. SEALs prepare for a variety of reactions but nothing could've prepared Asher Thorne for the fiesty Eden York! Being in a life or death scenario should've trumped all else but neither can deny the intense connection between them. When they're trapped together while war rages outside, they know there's more there than just lust and laughs. If they both survive, maybe they won't be going it alone anymore.
Fantastic book! I was absorbed from the first page and read straight through the early morning. (Thanks for the sleepless night!) I adored these characters and loved the way they helped each other through, not only a harrowing rescue but also through the demons haunting Asher. This story is loaded with humor, heat and such heart! Can't wait for Law's story!
Asher’s career as a Navy SEAL and his family are the most important things in his life. He is still trying to overcome the guilt and regrets that he feels after the loss of his brother when his team is tasked with rescuing a team of finance specialists. Their mission goes sideways from the beginning especially when it appears that they must face threats both from within and outside the team.
Eden was well aware of the peril when she agreed to take the assignment, but she has always pursued the greater good and couldn’t say no. As the danger around them escalates so does the chemistry between them and now they just need to find a way to escape with their lives.
Eden’s fierce personality is the perfect fit for Asher who has an innate need to defend and serve those around him and they make a wonderful team both personally and professionally.
The first chapter of Her Chosen Protectors is heartbreaking. Caitlyn O'Leary puts a fine point on the fact that even those who are seemingly the strongest, bravest and most heroic of our service personnel find that dealing with the atrocities they've seen and experienced is sometimes just too overwhelming. That being said, the remainder of Her Chosen Protector is really intense and jam packed with tension, suspense, action and danger. Eden York is take charge, fiery, suffers no fools, headstrong and at times rash. She's just what the doctor ordered for Asher Thorne. When he's not wanting to throttle her, he's dying to kiss her. When they end up together spending what could be their last remaining hours on earth, they bare their souls, find a modicum of peace and fall hard and fast.
I'm still reeling with a book hangover after finishing this fantastic book and let me just say I ugly cried in a few places and felt my heart crumbling for Asher And his Brother Law . Losing his older brother to suicide after losing part of his men on a mission is hard to deal with and understand but Asher gets called for a mission thats starts Furbur can only mean its only going to get worse.Eden York is a translator and speaks 7 different languages and is absolutely and doesn't take to much crap off anybody but can they both get out alive or will they end up dead. This book was filled Heartbreak, chemistry, action packed and suspense and love. Absolutely one of my top books by Caitlyn and can't wait for more.
I know I shouldn't be but I"m always in awe of Caitlyn O'Leary's ability to write stories that I get sucked right into. Her stories have taken me all over the world! Asher and Eden are my new favorite couple but it's going to be a roller coaster ride for them. Secrets, danger and angst are right there and you will feel all the emotions as you are pulled into this wonderful world. I stayed up reading this because I couldn't put it down and I'm betting you won't be able to either.
Asher and Eden make quite the pair. Loved Asher from previous stories and really enjoyed getting to know more. Eden is spunky and manages to break through Asher's walls. This is edge of your seat with all the feels. Definitely a recommend read. I received a free copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a review
I absolutely love this Night Storm Series! It is exciting and fresh, but at the same time intense, giving you an insight into dealing with deep emotions revolving around service members and their struggles at being both deployed and emotionally compromised.
This story also has a lot of back and forth humor with the team, but jumps right into being deadly serious in a heartbeat. First, Asher and his younger brother, Lawson, are still reeling and deeply grieving the suicide death of their oldest brother, Xavier, and the multitude of questions surrounding his heartbreaking decision. Then, despite his grief and his need to help Lawson deal with Xavier’s death, Asher and his Night Storm team have to deploy to Venezuela to rescue an international coalition of financial experts and their translator who are the focus of terrorists intending to infiltrate and take over the local bank and remove all the gold housed there.
As a translator, Eden is fluent in seven languages and is the liaison for the group of coalition experts as they attempt to flee the dangerous terrorists overtaking the city surrounding the bank. I love Eden’s snarky spunk. Raised on a Montana cattle ranch with a family of brothers, Eden is no girly girl. She is not a weak and frightened mouse who wilts at the first sign of danger, instead she is missing the security of having her weapon and being able to protect herself and the people she is working with. There is a traitor among the coalition. Asher soon realizes that Eden is front and center in dealing with the various personalities among the coalition and potential hostile situation at the bank. She is also dedicated to securing the safety of Suzanne Azua, a member of one of the prominent families in the region who also happens to be the head of Banco de la Gente. Suzanne was shot as the coalition members were fleeing the advancing terrorists, also known as the secret police.
Asher is impressed with Eden’s bravery and her take charge, problem solving attitude. He can’t help but be proud of her tough sweetness and her efforts to help his team in their mission as they work to avoid a fire fight with the secret police in their attempt to rescue those taking refuge in the bank, get Suzanne Azua to a hospital, and to stop the terrorists from robbing the bank of its valuable gold. He also discovers, in a moment of dark reflection, Eden is his, she “gets” him, she understands his deep emotional turmoil losing his older brother. Her insight into his soul soothes him.
This is intense. It’s emotional, action packed, mixed with humor and sweet moments. It would be impossible for Asher and Eden to deny their chemistry and resist falling for each other. This is one story you will definitely want to read and it will leave you craving more!
The beginning of this book broke my heart, Asher and his brother are still dealing with their older brother Xavier's suicide. He was the one they both looked up to, they followed his example into special forces. They don't understand, Lawson is very angry and Asher feels so much guilt. Neither saw it coming and they don't understand there was nothing they could have done to stop it.
Now Asher and the Night Storm team is on a mission to extract international financial advisors, they were trying to find a way to help with Argentina's economy but instead are being targeted. This mission goes FUBAR before it really gets off the ground when their transport hits a landmine. The first impact injures his teammate Leo, his shoulder dislocated. But a second landmine in the front of the plane causes more damage and Asher hits his head, hard. As the team evacuates the plane, two of the team go after the pilots. Their medic Raiden does what he can for them and their new teammate Ezio had already popped Leo's shoulder back in place. They all have to move, and quickly as Max and Cullen run toward them. The plane was going to blow. The pilots never had a chance.
When they are relatively safe, they find that their ride isn't coming, the Embassy the security team had been preparing had been attacked. Now they needed much more intel and a way to the city.
Meanwhile, translator Eden York is in one of the armored vehicles transporting the international group. There are three vehicles all being driven by the hired security. They are being attacked and they need somewhere safe and fast. Also in that vehicle is Suzann Azua president of the Banco de la Gente, it's to that bank with it's security that they need to reach safely.
With the bank as secure as Suzann can make it, and her injured, it falls to Eden to help the SEALs with information they need. The security company's personnel are suspect as is one of the bankers.
Eden and Asher don't even meet until the rescue begins. Of course things stay FUBAR too.
The attraction between Asher and Eden is off the charts. However they are not in a position to do much about it.
This is a fast-paced, nail-biting read with sizzling heat and so much more!
This is book 3 in the Night Storm series and I would absolutely read the previous books before reading this one. This one could be read as a stand alone but they talk about things that happened in the previous books, which is why I recommend reading them first. In this one we get Asher and Eden's story. I'm going to warn you right now, there may be a trigger for anyone who has been affected by suicide. This book starts right off with Asher and his brother Law dealing with the suicide of their older brother Xavier. Now he has been sent on a mission in order to save a group of financial advisors in Venezuela from the corrupt police and criminals. But right from the start the mission goes south and they have to improvise in order to complete their mission. Eden is in Venezuela as a translator who speaks 7 different languages. She just wanted to help make things better for the people in this country in a time when they desperately need it. But she never expected to be in the situation she ends up in. Or not knowing who to trust. Can she trust the SEAL team that has been sent in to not only get them out safely but to keep them safe?
I absolutely loved this one!! Asher and his brother are dealing with something that no one should ever have to go through. As a parent of a child who attempted suicide, this was heartbreaking to read. And I definitely cried some ugly tears while reading this. But it is exactly how family feels while going through it. But it also shows that with the right support system, you may never forget what happened but you can move beyond it. And Asher has that in spades!! He is tough, alpha, protective, but he has this heart that you can't help but love and want to protect. Eden is the type of heroine that I absolutely love! She is sweet and gentle when necessary but she isn't afraid to be kick butt either and do the things that need to be done! The chemistry between these two is phenomenal but on top of that is a connection that leads to something more than physical, which I loved!! I think this one is my new favorite by this author! And I definitely hope we get a story for Asher's brother, because I need him to have a HEA as well after the heartache!!
A story of learning to trust again, both in yourself and others.
Asher Thorne has always had things easy, but after a devastating loss he’s reeling and trying to find trust in himself again. When a rescue attempt goes FUBAR from the first moment his SEAL team starts to touch down in Venezuela, Asher will have to find the man that he was before his loss. He’s still blaming himself for not seeing the signs and now that he has to be on full alert and ready to save lives, he will have to dig deep and keep his mind in the game if he wants to get home alive and save the lives of those he’s there to help.
Eden York is a woman that grew up on a farm with a father that served his country and is the town sheriff and brothers that have served their country too. She’s on a dangerous mission as a translator and finds herself in a situation that brings out the strength and control that she has always had. When she has to rely on others, she has to dig deep within herself to find the trust that the SEAL team there to rescue her and the others being targeted will get them all out and protect them. She has a hard time giving up that control and trusting anyone other than her family, but since they are not their she has to find a way to work with these SEALs.
This was a great story and the characters are strong and entertaining. I loved the story line. The story is full of action, suspense and danger. I have not read the first two books in the Night Storm series but will have to go back and read them now. The SEAL team is a brotherhood and the characters joke around and care about each other, but they also know when to be serious and fight together as well. They have each other’s backs and feel any loss like the loss of a family member. I enjoyed reading Asher and Eden’s story and look forward to reading more of the Night Storm series. I look forward to Lawson’s story. I give this story a 5-star review and recommend it to anyone that likes military romance of stories strong, sassy women that fight for their beliefs.
Her Chosen Protector is a fast-paced story that will also touch your heart. Caitlyn O’Leary has written another engrossing book with richly drawn complex characters and plenty of action. The main male character (Ash) is dealing with the suicide of a loved one and the portrayal of his struggle is both revealing and poignant. As I have come to expect from Caitlyn’s books, the female lead (Eden) is strong and resourceful and while she does need help, she is far from a damsel in distress. Ash is alpha without being annoying and manages to grow during the course of the story. Their strong characters make you really believe they have a relationship that can stand the test of time. The story includes some serious issues like corruption and how some are driven by greed, but also includes characters, both military and civilian, who fight against evil. There is the camaraderie of brothers-in-arms, the support of family and friends and a fast moving love story. Not sure if Caitlyn was influenced by current impacts of the pandemic (like quarantining), but the time Eden and Ash spend locked in together supports the rapid development of feelings between them and resonates with the reader. There is a bit of a hint about the next couple for Night Storm series and I am looking forward to that story. Which brings me to the only bad thing about this book - I read it so quickly that now all I can do is wait impatiently for the next one. Seriously, I could not put this one down and basically read it in one sitting. I got this book as ARC in exchange for an honest review. I strongly recommend this book or really anything by this author.
Just before Asher is sent to Venezuela, we learn about the heartbreaking tragedy that still haunts him. Already we want to see his heart healed, but then the mission starts and between the landmines, advancing enemy forces, double agents, and a time-locked vault, every minute is an adrenaline-filled, life-and-death dilemma.
One of the civilians the team is sent to rescue is Eden, a brilliant translator and a confident, no-frills cowgirl from Montana. Her abundant skills are only exceeded by her quick mind and quicker wit, all of which just happens to be Asher's catnip. The intensity of their alliance as they fight for their lives creates the perfect environment for them to really get to know each other, though the question of whether that connection can last is explored after the dust settles.
One of my favorite aspects of reading the books in this author's series is getting to know the various members of the spotlighted team, and this one really delivers in that department. These men are the very best kind of heroes. As Eden reassures one of her colleagues, "These guys are supermen ... they will save your life, do your dry cleaning, and then cook your dinner." And they're so much fun to watch, too.
This is everything I want in my military-hero romances, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Grab it now, then read all the others in the series because each one is a winner. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
This was one big, hold your breath, what’s gonna happen next, action romance, at least when I wasn't snort laughing at the camaraderie antics of a seasoned team who knew each other better than they knew themselves, always knowing what was needed and when. Yesterday was usually the answer to the when, but they were all used to improv. Asher Thorne loved his team, his family, his country, and would die protecting them all. He's just suffered loss, and is emotionally crippled thinking he would have, could have, should have. The team gets sent to do a rescue in Venezuela. Never, did Asher dream he would meet a kicka** woman who matched him so well. Eden York was the translator to the world bankers and she was beautiful, crazy smart, witty, and didn't seem to be afraid of anything. She was also competitive, being the youngest in a large family, she didn’t see any other choices. So Asher AND Eden (no she wouldn't take a backseat, thank you very much) are on point on this op. They realize they have that extra zing, but first they just need to not get killed. The secondary characters like the Azua family added much to an already awesome read. I would've liked to read more about Asher and Eden's time in the states, along with Eden's incredible family. This gave me all the feels, so much intense action, those LOL moments I love, and an HEA to make me happy sigh.
Asher and Eden's story came with some heartbreaking feels and some lighthearted laugher and all sorts of intense adventure.
Being brought into the Thorne's family and getting to experience the confusing lost and utter devastation make you not only empathize with Asher more, but it makes you think about real life situations, too. Because what they felt and experienced isn't remotely fictional. I appreciated the compassionate way things were handled.
Asher's attitude, strength, determination, protectiveness, and devotion won me over quickly. Eden is a fun spitfire of a woman - totally able to hold her own and refuses to stay knocked down. I loved her sense of confidence mixed in with a hidden soft spot, which made her all the perfect for Asher.
I love the moments with the team on their mission - being a part of the boots-on-the-ground action as well as the banter and true brotherhood they have. And this time it was nice getting to see some downtime with just the Thorne brothers, even with the circumstances surrounding it.
This is a great addition to the Night Storm series and I'm super excited to see where we're headed next!
I have a girl-crush on Eden. She may be a translator and is used to being very tactful and diplomatic but she has an inner keg of fire and sass and she takes crap from no-one. She will not be sidelined and she will not sit back and let SEALS save her. She fully intends to be integral to any rescue.
It was hysterical watching Asher be totally amused, aroused, and tortured by Eden's independence and can-do attitude. She has mad-skills that he had not counted on!
Asher may be fragile due to his brother's recent death but he'll give his job 100% and worry about his mental health later. He at least recognises that there is a problem - he's just not sure how to tackle it yet!
PTSD comes in many forms including sudden, unexpected bereavement. This thread was handled with such care and attention, I admit I cried a bit.
The romance is worked in well and I do enjoy a slow burner - you just know that when they "get down to it" it's going to be spectacular and I was not disappointed. The team camaraderie and banter was a hoot, especially when dealing with the FNG, who they haven't quite gelled with yet.
Once again we are with Night Storm Team of Navy Seals and these guys are a laugh a minute yes they are professionals and they always get the job done but they have spent a lot of time together and know one another intimately this means that when times get tough like all alphas they step up but also use humour to relieve the pressure leading to some hilarious lines that will have you snort laughing. Caitlyn O'Leary is a genius at this military hero genre and she has yet again knocked it out of the park
Asher Thorn is struggling he has recently lost his brother and he is struggling with the what he should have done question but as the consummate professional he is ready when he is called to go to Venezuela to do a hostage rescue. What he didn't expect was to find the woman that completed him in translator Eden York she may be a woman who never knew her own strengths but raised in a military family when the chips are down she steps up and in doing so wins the heart of a man who is struggling. Can they get back from this mission whole and do they have a future together You will have top read to see
Loved every single thing about the latest book in the Night Storm series from Caitlyn O'Leary! This woman writes killer SEAL stories!
Asher sucked me from page one while he's reeling from a personal tragedy and just left me heartbroken. Then the action begins and O'Leary doesn't take her foot off the gas until the end.

I adored these characters and loved the way they helped each other through, not only a harrowing rescue but also through the demons haunting Asher. This story is loaded with humor, heat and such heart! Can't wait for Law's story!
Caitlyn O'Leary definitely came out of the gate with a bang when Her Chosen Protector started, as she punched me in the feels from the jump, and the story never slowed down for me. Asher is struggling with some feelings about a tragedy in his life when he's sent with his team to Venezuela to rescue a group of people that includes translator Eden York. She finds herself in a dangerous situation but she's not waiting on the sidelines, nope, our strong sassy heroine is trying to keep it all together. The sparks are flying when she comes face to face with Asher, and when they find themselves waiting to be rescued, well, they have a bit of time to explore that connection which has them thinking more but they have to actually survive first. Per usual, this story was filled with heat, dangerous situations to keep me on the edge of my seat, twists to get the f-bombs dropping, and an amazing supporting cast of sexy SEAL's who always try to steal the show. There's no way you can go wrong with any Night Storm story, so buckle up and hit those one click buttons! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
I like the North Team guys and brotherhood. Asher nit only has to fight for his life, getting hurt seriously at the end of a mission. Not only did he also have to deal with a concussion as the plane blue up on landing. Caitlyn deals with some heavy issues. Suicide comes for many different reasons. Not being to save everyone can eat at you. You remember the ones who died and you that lived, even though you saved the other half of your team. I have experienced the suicide of my brother so I know the anger and guilt the survivors deal with. We blame ourselves for not being able to help. Eden being the youngest of sisters and protective brothers, also has dealt with hurt when her Green Beret brother came ho e injured. She grew up on a farm and taught her everything she needed to know to protect herself. As an interpreter on a trip to Venezuela, she is so much more when all hell breaks loose. She and Asher cross paths and help saver each other as well as the others. But, things are tense when Asher is hurt and she has no idea where he is, if he is alive. Read on for the conclusion
Asher Thorne's life was easy until a crushing loss caused him to doubt his abilities. Translator Eden York takes a dangerous turn when she is working on a highly confidential project in Venezuela. The team of international experts that Eden is working with is targeted by terrorists trapping her and Asher's team is sent in to rescue them. Asher believed that this time he can save someone worth saving even if he has to give his life to do it.
I enjoyed the story with the multiple layers of the people that could be trusted, can't be trusted and those in the middle. I loved the way that Eden was a fighter who was happy to improvise and do whatever it took to save innocent people whilst also punishing those who were guilty. I loved that she had the kind of trust that she could speak for one of the experts even when she wasn't well enough to make decisions. The easy relationship between Asher and Eden was a joy to behold and I loved the way that they learnt about each other. The ending was lovely after the way they had to part when they left the country. Contains some mature content. Easy to read.
Once in a while, you get the pleasure of getting to read a book by a spectacular author. For me, Caitlyn O’Leary is one such author. I’ll admit, I’m terribly behind on her books thanks to health and an empty wallet, but I’m hoping to fix that. Her books just keep me hooked from page one until The end. Her Chosen Protector is about the Night Storm SEAL team and is the third book. (I missed the first 2 but I will most definitely remedy that ASAP). Our hero is demolition expert Asher Thorne, a sexy SEAL who is still blaming himself for his brother’s death. His team*s mission is to rescue a group of banking humanitarians and a translator in Venezuela from a group of terrorists. Eden is probably one of my favorite heroines. She’s feisty and part tomboy and all woman. She gives Asher a run for his money, and she’s not afraid to dig in and help the team with the rescue as well as find a way to expose the bad guys. I loved this chemistry between these two, and so will you. Get this book! I for one have some catching up to do.
Once again this gifted storyteller gives the reader a story that grabs you from the first page to the last. This one belongs to Asher Thorne. He is still devastated with the loss of his older brother and while worried now for the mental health of his younger one, he’s called out on a mission. Night Storm SEAL Team is sent to Venezuela to rescue a group of world bankers and their translator. They were in the country on a humanitarian mission which has gone wrong. There he meets a woman who is his match. Witty , strong , bright, take no prisoner, Eden York. In the midst of nail biting moments that are filled with bad guys, bullets, Carnival, and hunky good ones, there are moments of laughter with not only the Team members but also with a local family. In addition to an engaging plot , I loved that the author gave us a strong woman and a sensitive man. All in all, a wonderful story that will leave you eager to get your hands on the next book by this talented author. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Book three in this awesome series by Caitlyn O’Leary. This is Asher Thorne’s book. This is a stand alone read but to get more enjoyment out of the series then read the other two books as they talk about things that happened before. This book broke my heart. Not only was Asher and his Brother, Lawson, trying to deal with the suicide of their older brother that they didn’t see coming but also a completely fubar mission that didn’t stand a chance after things kept going wrong. One thing we can guarantee is a strong heroine who stands strong to help where she can.
Eden is an interpreter, speaking several languages when things go wrong. Trapped and in need of help, it’s up to Asher and his team to save the day. With Fubar from the beginning and continuing to deal with the pain of his loss, can Asher be the man he is and save the hostage and Eden and get them all out alive??? An excellent book by this author. I can always rely on her to catch and hold my attention until the end of the story. roll on book 4.

Eden never expected a translation job to turn deadly. And then civil war erupted and she is stuck. But she refuses to go DC own without a fight. Asher will not let anyone else die on his watch but will he put too much on the line to make it so? I loved this latest addition to Ms. O'Leary's Night Storm series. Eden was female goals. She was strong and funny. She did what was necessary but knew when to back down. I loved that inspite of the circumstances she found herself in she still kept her sense of humor. I loved seeing her interact with Asher. She managed to get past his shell to the real man. I love that as danger surrounded them Asher and Eden managed to make a connection that felt real. I thoroughly enjoyed pulling the layers back for Eden and Asher. I loved seeing them find themselves even as they fought to survive. This story is well written and the emotions felt real and believable. I cannot wait to see where Ms. O'Leary will take us next in this world she has created.
Asher Thorne and his team are sent to extricate civilians in a dangerous situation in Venezuela. He previously lost a loved one and doubts on his effectiveness have set in. Eden York is a translator and suddenly finds herself and those with her targeted by terrorists.
Ms. O’Leary while presenting us with a tense situation is also able to provide some comic relief – rescue by food truck, and sizzling romance. Eden grew up with brothers, and is rather kick-@ss herself. When it becomes apparent there is danger from one of the “good guys”, Eden keeps a level head and is able to assist the team sent to help them.
Fabulous edge-of-your-seat action, remarkable characters, touching backstory and sizzling romance.
