After a French notary contacts Rey to inform her she's inherited a house in the Drôme (France), she decides from one day to the next to quit her job and move there. The house is pretty secluded, there's no service, no internet, no way to reach other people aside from the landline in the living-room. Ideal conditions, by her standards, as those theoretically should allow her to be perfectly alone. Theoretically.
Ben talking French was a whole other level of hotness I didn't know I needed until I read this!
Loved both their individual and collective journeys, dealing with depression has not been written enough in fic and while it might be hard to read at times, I feel like it is important to talk about it

I've read this so many times by now because I love it so much. You have two lost people, one still wandering around to find his place in the world, and another who has all but given up and resigned herself to disappear in solitude. They both meet in the middle and find unexpected (and unconventional) solace in one another. Honestly, I can't recommend it enough.
