Intuition, has always intrigued me and scared me at the same time. What is happening when I get those ‘gut feelings’, or when I think of someone ‘out of the blue’ and I hear from that someone soon after thinking of them? Radical Intuition answered my questions, and more.

Radical Intuition, the book, is essential for understanding your intuition. Radical Intuition takes you on a journey of how to become aware of you/yourself, outside of social norms and expectations. Your journey of how to come to know your intuition and how it will bring you to your real self.

Radical Intuition gives you the tools (meditations, insight cards, mantras, quizzes, meaningful phrases, and many examples) to guide you to a life of listening and developing your intuition. Radical Intuition articulates how to start and evolve your intuition, which leads to a peaceful and powerful life.

I have read many books about intuition, and have focused on honing my intuitive skills off and on for over 20 years. I trust my intuition and have recently been exploring ways to bring more clarity and consistency to my intuitive insights.

I was excited when I saw this book and dove right in to reading and practicing some of the exercises. While I enjoyed most of the first part of the book, as I continued reading I realized that I was more annoyed than inspired. But why?

First of all, there's a quiz early in the book to help you identify your what the author calls "your intuitive type." To score the quiz, you look at an icon to see which "type" the question relates to. Unfortunately, in the Kindle version the icon is so small that I couldn't tell the difference between them to identify the type related to each question. There is a printable version of the quiz on the author's website, but I didn't know how the quiz was to be scored until the end, and didn't want to go through it again.

The concept of four different intuitive types is different from what you'll read elsewhere. While the idea of different intuitions related to four spiritual archetypes is interesting, it did not ring true to me. We all receive intuitive information in different ways, but are those really four different types of intuition? It seems more like an intellectual exercise than a valuable guide to recognizing and developing intuition.

The book is excessively wordy. Many ideas are repeated multiple times. For example, the author says over and over and over that we must follow our own truth and not let the outside world dictate how we live. While I completely agree, it seems like she is trying far too hard to convince the reader.

One of the book's themes is that intuition can lead you to become the best version of yourself, and is central to awakening or enlightenment. I'm quite happy with myself as I am. I'm not interested in intuition to "become better," "grow," and "evolve." All of these terms show up repeatedly. It took me a while to realize that this book feels like a corporate guide to intuition and awakening. That gave me the creeps.

I found a couple of the exercises useful--particularly the Intuitive Wormhole exercise--and the online Insight Cards are fun. But overall, I didn't find the ideas presented to be radical or particularly helpful. The best I can say is that, based on other reviews, the book may be great for some people. It was not right for me.

Now I'm going to reread Lisa K's Intuition On Demand, which I found much more useful.

I sincerely love the matter-of-fact way Kim approaches the topic of personal intuition, bringing it outside the sphere of "woo", and down to a practical, approachable level. She teaches us how to put intuition to work in our ordinary lives, which ironically reveals the extraordinary connection that we have with the people, experiences and the world around us.

First, I should acknowledge that I did get more aware of and connected with my intuition throughout the reading of this book. I’m grateful for this book for that reason!

However, a couple things made this read a bit less enjoyable that I would have liked. (1) It felt like a 100-page introduction; it got redundant and dragged on at times. (2) Some assumptions, and the lack of acknowledging the obstacles and factors that could stand in the way of the recommendations (e.g., societal, economic) made the writing sound privileged.

This book started out really strong and then got a bit repetitive. The author breaks intuition up into four different "types" with two chapters dedicated to each type. The chapters have the same format but different content for each type. Under the surface, though, the ideas don't change that much from type to type which is when I started getting bored. So there is good stuff here and it was a quick read for me.

Chestney's Radical Intuition is a light to help plumb the depths of your own soul, and reawaken (or strengthen) a gift that is your own birthright. We are all born with it. Call it your sixth sense. Or better, call it your master sense, for it can speak to you through any of your other senses. Chestney identifies four different paths intuition can follow. Through the exercises in this book, you will learn the primary way your own intuition speaks to you, and how to begin using those other pathways more. I had no idea intuition could be thought of this way. Each section has its own 'workshop' following the introduction. I enjoyed going through the book, and found many new tools and tricks for working with my own intuition. Packed with tips, tricks, exercises and more, this book is a must have for anyone seeking to strengthen their relationship with their own intuition! Highly recommended.

Brilliant! This book shows how your innate intuition can be empowered and used as a road map to living your full potential. It teaches you how to open the floodgates of creativity and has given me a new mantra, 'Trust in life'. Kim demonstrates that with an influx of elevated intuition, we can enlighten one another and make the world a better place. This concise little book is also beautiful, substantial, and easy-to-read.

I really loved the first half of this book and the exercises provided felt very helpful. The worm hole one is definitely something I’ll be applying to my life moving forward. It was a good reminder to trust my intuition and not doubt it. The second half off the book felt like a word count was trying to be reached. I felt like the exercises were not as helpful and the paragraphs were repeating the same thing again and again. Definitely gained some tools and awareness from this book but was sad that the ending didn’t feel strong or as motivating as I would’ve hoped. A good read still!

Took me a while but I enjoyed this book. The narration sounded like AI which slightly put me off but the lessons were very insightful. I listened to it and will buy the paperback to go more in depth.

This was an interesting read, but I didn't find it that revolutionary. This topic has been covered by other authors I have read so the content was not as enticing for me.

Too wordy and repetitive for my taste. Some of the practices here are helpful, but I wasn't blown away by any of the "radical" insights.
