I’m no good for her.

Their love for one another started a very long time ago in childhood playing cops and robbers. You see Cole and Bella are siblings and when Cole meets Jason she got them to play cops and robbers a lot, that’s what Bella loved to play all the time. The boys never minded because Jason loved being the cop and Bella always wanted to be the bad guy. Jason just wanted to chase after Bella because it was love at first sight. The same for Bella actually. Not to mention, Jason hated his father and wanted nothing to do with him not to mention ever to be like him.
Fast forward Cole and Bella’s life is changed with the loss of their mom, Cole becomes a Cop and Bella decides to take a few years off to trapeze around Europe for a few years. Jason has chose to become a venture capitalist. Well, until the absolute worst happens. Cole is killed in the line of duty and it’s not even Jason who is the one to call and tell her it is his father.
Nicole and she return from Europe and Jason was like the many strangers that attend to honor Cole. Jason who she thought of all people would give me comfort was distant. Bella returns to Europe again since she had no one now and nothing at home anymore. Until, she hears from Nicole who stayed behind that Cole’s killer had captured and killed by police officer Jason Cooper. To say she was shocked was an understatement. Cole had become a cop like his father so he could capture her brother’s killer. His way to to deal with his death. It was time to go home and set things right even if they could only friends.
This is where the story takes off. There is so much fast pace thoughts, dialogue, and action of sorts. It was the type of story you can’t put down. For only having like almost 50 page it’s a good story.

I don't want a future without you by my side.
This is the first book I've read by this newer author. I thought it was a cute, short read that I finished in less than an hour. I'm looking forward to reading more by her. If you're looking for no cheating between h/H, no OM/OW drama, cute but still steamy, I think you'll enjoy this one. Dual POV, dual virgins and an epilogue 8 months out. Good job Ms. Cole!

This was a short quick read that I wanted to give more stars. This was my first time reading this author I liked her style of writing I just wanted more of the book. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

Plot: When Bella's brother Cole was alive, he and Jason were best friends. Now he's gone, and even though Jason is in love with Bella, he thinks he's no good for her. She's in love with him as well, and is determined to make him see they are meant to be.
Character development: Poor Jason needed more help than he had received in the past. He had unresolved trauma from his abusive father and from where he killed Cole's killer (that was coincidence, wasn't it). I wondered if Cole knew about Jason's father, considering that it seemed like he (Cole) looked up to the dad. That was strange, but also an indication of how well an abuser can hide his tracks. I was glad that Bella was able to see past all of that and go get Jason when he was trying to hide away. This was a sweet story.

This is the first book I read by Callie Cole and I enjoyed reading about Bella and Jason. They really went through a lot but I enjoyed how Callie brought them together . Very entertaining .

I really like a story where the characters have been in love since childhood, but never act on their feelings until their much older and mature. This short story has developed characters, suspense, and even a little angst that eventually leads to discovery. A very enjoyable short.

Cute quick read but I love that they have been friends for a long time but that Jason was always fighting his feelings for Bella.

First time read. Story was cute, but for me it was missing the depth of emotion. At times it read like a narration of facts more than a story. But overall it was cute.
