Rate this book
After the traumatic events of Splashback, Detroit PI John Phault just wants to go back to living a normal life, chasing cheating husbands and working fraud cases for insurance companies. But life has other plans for Phault—his wife has filed for divorce, a Detroit business icon with ties to him is gunned down, a new client is very definitely not what she seems, and ghosts from his past keep trying to kill him. Unfortunately, it's business as usual in the Motor City.

All three books in the series now read. Interesting characters to say the least...and much drama between and with most of the characters.

There is always something else going on in various subplots and the brief interaction with support characters in timely fashion to supply various support to the lead characters.

It is busy....and I like the style... keeps one thinking and created a more believable lifelike events.

Shall be looking for additional volumes in this series...it is made for many multiple volume s.

As a former police officer and done private investigations this book was great. The location and descriptions of metro Detroit and investigative work we're all spot on. Can't wait for the next book in this series.

The portrayals of officers and PJ's was believable and factual. It makes me want to get back into the business.

Another excellent novel.

Well James has done it again. Written a totally engaging novel with plot twists and excellent action sequences. The weapons and the handling there of was spot on as always.

Another winner

Could’ve used a better ending regarding the villainous “lady” but a great short read and follow up as book 3 in the series.
