Shaizon or as everyone know him as, Crank, had just turned eighteen when he’s forced to step up in a major way. He’s now the sole provider of beautiful twin girls. The thing is, you have to have income to provide and Crank has none. His arrest record makes it harder for him to obtain work. He doesn’t have support from family or friends. Desperate for money, Crank is forced to commit a robbery with his one-week old kids riding shotgun. Imagine that... Parrish, twenty-one, thought she had married the man of her dreams but found out shortly after, there’s no such thing. At the tender age of sixteen, she had it bad for her now husband, Javo. Something should have told her to run, considering the fact he was married at the time they were pursuing one another. But nobody could tell Parrish nothing when it came to him. She soon gets what she wants—The man, and the shoes his ex-wife once filled. All the problems she endured with Javo are now Parrish’s issues now. Sadly, it was so much about Javo that Parrish missed because she was so blinded by the physical. Now married with two kids, the young girl doesn’t know how to cope with the mess she put herself in, making anti-depressants her solution and before long, she’s abusing them. Justine, Parrish best friend, actually does have the man of every woman’s dreams. Her husband provides, encourages her, looks good and the intimacy is all that. But she can’t stop herself from wanting to save Crank. She feels for him and wants to give him something he lacks with his own family—love and emotional support. She also wants to be a mother figure to his daughters. With her focus solely on that and not her own marriage, it isn’t long before her husband, Hollis, starts to take notice in his wife’s change of behavior. There are no mansions and million-dollar hustlers in this story. It’s about your everyday people trying to make something out of nothing. When it’s all said and done, all they want is that one, to love them while having their backs through the good and the bad. Such is life, some will come out on top, some will not.
This series is gonna be so lit. Jus is a piece of work trying to have her cake and eat it too. I hate my boy frank is going through this stuff with his babies. And I hope Hollis and Parrish get through what storm is heading their way. I hope my boy Kel do the treatment so he can get better. I can’t wait to read the next book. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read
Whew Chile Justine and Javo are definitely two peas in a pod! They are freaking insane. Im sick of the both of them. She is in serious denial. I’m so happy Parrish got her ish together. I’m cheering for Crank not many would do what he did. I’ve got to know how this plays out.
I be so glad when Crank gets his happiness! His mother, sister, and now Tawnee has all let him down. He’s my book bae. Hollis is a solid dude! I was so glad when Parrish grew a pair! Praying that Kaiest tumor is healed. Justine and Javo both are crazy as hell. Can’t wait for part 2.
I hope Crank gets his happy ever after. He deserve to be loved the right way. Justine and Javo are shady as he'll and selfish. Parrish and Hollis didn't see that coming. I feel so sorry for Kiaest. I want him to be able to fall in love while he is still alive.I hope he gets his treatment
This was a good read all the drama and cheating was just crazy. I was hoping somebody will end up happy. Justine about to make people life hell but she wasn’t faithful either. Tawnee deserves happiness over that friendship. Crank needed a break and to be happy as well. Javo was just nasty and all over the place. Keltra had him in line though on to the next one.
This book is sooo good. It has a lot of suspense in it. I can't wait for pt2. I hope it's ready because I should have looked first. I do not like to wait on the next installment. I want it to be right there ready to read.
Justine and Javo are a piece of work. I like Hollis and I hope that things work out for Parrish. Now I hate that Tawnee chose her friendship cause Justine is trash and I hope that Crank can find some happiness.
Javon was a whole mess and disrespectful. I felt sorry for his wife and how broken she was. But honey Hollis got her together quickly. Tawnee was cool to. Loved her with Crank. It was just a good read how everybody knew each other and switched partners.
Everyone was screwing each other, i dont know how only one had caught an std. I hope Kaist gets treatment for his brain tumor, and Javo finally get what he deserves.
