Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou, Romeo?

Can you get anymore cliche? I’d heard that damn phrase my entire life.
Most of the time, it was when a woman was mid-orgasm—or, when I was about to take someone’s life.
You see, we all have our demons.
Apparently, my name was mine. Though it didn’t help me get my answers any faster.

I nodded when I was supposed to.
I smirked when I needed to.
I complimented when the timing was right.
Then… I’d send them to hell after giving them nothing but heaven.
I should’ve felt guilt.
I didn’t.
Because I was good at what I did.

Making people believe what I wanted them to was an art I perfected. In a world where nothing mattered but staying at the top, I made sure no one slipped through my fingers.
Except for her.
She was gorgeous.
One might say she was the female version of me.
I lost her once.
I wouldn’t lose twice.

Now was the time…

To let the games begin.

Compelling read!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: ❤️💙💚💛💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 👏👏👏👏👏
World building: 🌎🌏🌍🌎🌏
Character development: 🤓🥸😎😤🤥

The setting: New York

The Hero: Romeo – Mafia Capo whose job it is to kill for the family. He has a lot of blood on his hands and is good at his job.

The heroine: Eden – her father is in the mafia and she grew up with Romeo and Tristan Sinacore. Since she was young she has loved Tristan because he is a good man, an accountant for the Mob, but he doesn’t get his hands dirty. However, she has always been in love with Romeo. He is her soulmate.

The Love Story: Romeo knew he was no good for Eden. He was raised to be a killer for the mafia and each kill takes some of his soul. He steps aside and breaks Eden’s heart and causes her to turn to his brother. It was very reminiscent of early Vampire Diaries except with the Mafia instead of Vampires.

I know a lot of people don’t like love triangles, because they are almost always tragic in some way or because they involve cheating, but I don’t mind them so much. Though this book was definitely tragic in many ways, I always knew what was going on and who the soulmates were. It definitely had all the feels.

This book was one of those with flashbacks all throughout the book, one of those that alternated every few chapters between then and now. I know that is a valid plot device so the reader finds out things that happened in the past as the story progresses, but I must say, that I hate it. It is sort of like mini-cliffhangers where every time something gets interesting, it switches from the present or the past or vice versa.

I guess I am a more linear person who likes things to just progress in a fairly straight timeline, though I don’t mind when the book has a prologue in the past or the future. I must say I was interested all through the book and read most of it in one sitting. So the flashbacks didn’t end up deterring my overall enjoyment of the book. I am just picky, or maybe I have read too many books with flashbacks lately.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

Well this was just dumb. I didn't go in with high expectations, but I definitely expected more out of two popular authors. I never say this because I know everyone has different tastes, but I'm completely baffled at all the high ratings for this book. Like I literally do not understand it.

-three scenes of hero screwing ow or about to, one of which the heroine walks into, and one scene of him dancing and making out with the heroine's nemesis in front of her
-hero forces the heroine to be with the brother but sleeps with her the night before the wedding and is oh so surprised when their marriage becomes unhappy and the brother cheats on her, even though she already physically cheated and is still emotionally cheating on him
-heroine has a kid with the brother that they raise together, but cliches need to happen, so the kid is actually the heros
-hero finds out it's his kid but does nothing about it
-heroine likes to slap and punch the hero and his brother, but freaks out when the brother slaps her back (she deserved it-equality)
-story is written in past and present up until 85% making the story even more disjointed and hard to connect to especially since literally nothing happens in that time
-the brother becomes the bad guy
-heroine and hero don't officially get together until 90% which they then have sex, skips to 6 months later when they are engaged, then the epilogue, so no couple time
-non-existent plot
-unrealistic speaking 5 year old
-choppy and short, one line sentences on every page that annoyed tf outta me, more than the OW scenes did (you'll understand if you read it)
-everything is so dramatic and OTT that I was confused half the time (pretty sure the author can make drinking milk dramatic)
-this entire book was just pure sloppiness

I'm sure there is more that bugged me but the book already wasted enough of my time and I don't care to waste more trying to write a detailed review.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Web-Photo-Editor I fell for him once.
Loved him with my soul.
Only to have him laugh in my face.
He was nothing to me.”

“Mafia Casanova” is a standalone Mafia-Romance novel by the two best selling authors Rachel Vandyken and M.Robinson. Told in dual perspectives ,get ready to have your mind blown By Romeo Sinacore!!

I have read so many books by these authors individually to know how amazingly they write. But nothing could have prepared me for the absolute chaos these two were gonna cause when they came together to write an absolutely phenomenal book for us! Let me start by saying that this book was everything I expected (and trust me , I had some high expectations) and so much more! It took, what? I think so , just a few chapters for Romeo Sinacore to become one of the most charmingly ruthless characters I have ever read!

Web-Photo-Editor Fucking and killing were two of my best qualities. I always delivered the final act with a mind-blowing orgasm.
Wet.
Warm.
Red.
Soaking my hands.”

I love these two authors and their writing style is something that I know by my heart. I love the way monica ends all of her chapters with a BANG and I absolutely love the Mae characters that Rachel creates , the ones who are playful and charming , yet so damn ruthless and hot! This book was the perfect mixture of their skills and let me tell you that they have given us a goddamn masterpiece in every way!

Romeo and Eden were perfection in every way! ROmeo was a stone cold killer and it was said that he killed as ruthlessly as he fucked. No truer words about him could have been said. Eden was his forbidden apple. The one he wanted but couldn't let himself have. Eden had known Romeo throughout her whole life and a part of her had always loved him. But then things went downhill between them and they had no choice but to separate. Now a tragedy has bought them both close and this time Romeo Sinacore is gonna do everything to keep eden. She has always been his and there was no damn way that he was going to let her go this time.

A compelling tale of Love and sacrifice , this book had so much emotion in it that I couldn't help but get lost in every goddamn scene of this book. And don’t even get me started on that ending ! I am pretty good at pretending twists and turns of a book but even I never saw that one coming! It was a total mic-drop moment and I was pretty speechless but couldn’t be surprised because I know what these two are capable of! MAFIA CASANOVA was flawlessly written and these authors have given me no choice but to place this masterpiece of thiers on my top-reads shelf! None of you are ready for the storm known as Romeo Sinacore! He is gonna break your heart , will savour each piece and you will find yourselves begging for more from him!

Two of my favourite authors joining together to write a mafia book *bliss*

I knew it was going to be good.
I have to honest here and say that it took me a while to write this review mostly because I had to take a moment and just get wrapped up in all things Romeo and Eden.

EVERYTHING I love about Monica and Rachel’s writing …be it the angst, the witchcraft to cast a spell of me with it’s writing and the storyline…the power to hit me hard with it’s emotions..Mafia Casanova hit me hard.
I knew that the chemistry was going to be off the charts..I mean, have you ever read a book by M.Robinson or Rachel van Dyken and thought “Hmm…I wish there was more”? No right? Now THIS BOOK was written by both of them together.. You get where I’m going right? Hahaha
Romeo and Eden are 🔥

Mafia Casanova is without a doubt thrilling, dark, gritty for sure but right alongside it, it’s heartfelt, sexy AF, romantic, and it’s genuinely good not only because the characters are well written but the storyline had be hooked.
I loved that the romance between Romeo and Eden felt real. They became each others weakness and strength and I LOVED reading about their lives.

If you’ve read my reviews before, you know my love for both Rachel and Monica’s books. I have loved their books individually and them joining forces is a DREAM COME TRUE for this fan.
MAFIA CASANOVA is a DREAM BOOK

Queen of Angst + Queen of mafia = Bliss ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This was a really fun love triangle mafia romance! Eden has loved Romeo since she was young, but he hurts her and she ends up marrying his brother. We get a lot of flashbacks in the plot, so we see them when Eden first marries the brother to when the brother is dead and Romeo is helping take care of and protect Eden and her son. They are trying to unravel secrets her husband was keeping, especially since he was part of the mafia and is already involved in dangerous things. I really loved Romeo's relationship with Eden's son and how Eden and Romeo start to let themselves fall in love again. Eden has lived a rough life and had to go through some terrible things married to Romeo's brother. This is definitely an "it's always been you romance" and a "married the wrong brother" romance and I had a lot of fun reading it!

Mafia Casanova is such a disappointment. I am a huge fan of Miss Robinson. Her nickname is Queen of Angst and she proofs herself to that calling. However, I am surprise with Mafia Casanova.

The plot is still have that angst but instead of hold my breath angst, this time is more ridiculous angst. The characters, both Eden and Romeo do not have sizzling chemistry as they carry a torch toward another. Romeo spends all his POV in self pity and guilt. His chaotic, dark, unapologetic, cold blooded killer is more telling than showing.

And Eden? She is very confuse about herself. She has no back bone to make the right decision. I know, I know this is only fiction. Again, I am trying to not giving this book harsh review. Sadly, by the end, I am feeling blah.

Was excited for this book, it was good. But the kind of aura that was built by author about Romeo, i dint feel the character was that good. It could be just me, i felt something was missing. The whole story was so predictable from the start. Then and Now part dint do much for me, as it was so predictable. After reading previous books of this author duo my expectations were really high. But dint work out for me. Hope you enjoy it.

Wow!! I knew it was Romeo's son!!! I freaking knew it!!

The characters were so so so good. Their trio blew me away. I felt like standing next to Edan during her struggles, slapping Tristan for being a complete asshole and ofcourse freaking KILL Romeo to give away the love of life his life...
Why the hell Romeo (who although is a villain) wanted to be 'The Saint of the year' by deciding on his own that he's not-good-enough for Edan and simply pass her on to HIS BROTHER!!?? Who in their dumb minds do that??

All the hurt felt by both the protagonists.
Thier love survived HELL🔥🔥
Their bond was strong enough to wither storms they've faced.

Storyline - 5/5
Writing - 4/5
Character building - 4.5/5
Chemistry - 5/5

Thankfully I'm able to come to an end of this cursed year with the memories of a good book❤️

Romeo(hero) : Asshole
Eden(heroine) : bland
Tristian(h’s husband/H’s brother) : boring/traitor
Naz(h’s and H’s kid) : cute
cover of book: Absolutely hate it.

I was not given the same leniency as my older brother. From the moment I was born, I was Romero Sinacore.
I killed.
Avenged.
Made panties wet.

Oh god here we go. I did not enjoy this book. I mean it was entertaining. Fast paced. Shit was happening. People getting killed. Others getting knocked up. I didn’t hate it but dear lord it was ridiculous. Our hero is an assassin who fucks women for information and then slice their throats while hes inside her. lovely
Our heroine is….well shes just there. Shes in the family and married to his brother. Hence she’s “forbidden”

There was a line I never crossed when it came to Eden. Her garden wasn’t mine to plow my seed in.

I gotta be honest. I don’t like the chick. She’s not doing much for me. Tristan was an asshole but she cheated on him and she slept with him dreaming of his brother and yeah sorry no. I don’t like characters like that. No matter how much I rooted for them to get together; that shit just gets to me. I cant stand it when the woman is just pining after someone while she was married. I think what pissed me off the most was that she kept saying she slept with Romeo before they got married. Like it wasn’t cheating? They were engaged. I’m just a sensitive person lmao. Im not gonna blame the heroine for Tristian becoming a drunk asshole, but he was worshipping before he found out about them sleeping together and AT THAT POINT, he didn’t deserve to get cheated on.

And the Romeo was just plain asshole. Now that I think about it…. I hate everyone in this book. But I couldn’t stop reading. He was rude and cruel and hurt her because he cant have her. But god I love a pining hero.

Whilst being sensitive, im also a petty bitch lmao, so I got immense satisfaction watching the H hurt when the h got hitched with his brother.

“My vow is simple, my promise to you.” She lifted her chin, her eyes clear, her conscience black as mine. “From this day forward… I’m yours.”

-> Vow to his brother.

The kid was adorable. Just kept talking and talking and talking. But it sort of annoyed me how most of the time the author used the kid to blurt out stuff that inturn leads to a conversation between the MC’s. Like its stupid how they needed a third person to start talking about shit that matters.
The Mystery in the book:

Don’t get me wrong there were some parts of the book I couldn’t help but like. Example when the hero confesses his feelings in pain and realizes that they’re both in this neverending- heartbreaking mess because of his martyr dumbass.
“You’re drunk, okay? Let’s just get you—”
“—Home.” I barked out a laugh, “Funny, since home has only ever been wherever you are.”

Overall this book was meh. I don’t regret reading. Won’t ever remember this in my life ever again. 2.75 starts

This book was my first experience with both authors, and I can say that at the end, it was something positive.

I'm not really into love triangles, specially when it's between brothers, but I don't know... I just had to read this one.

Romeo is a killer and a Casanova.
He not only kills for the famiglia, but he also seduces his victims for information.
I have to say that I was hooked since the prologue! That start was stellar and I looooved!

Eden is the chief of security's daughter, raised between the Sinacore's brothers, she was always loved and wanted by both.
The sweet and caring Tristian, and the wild and ruthless Romeo.

But when things got blurred between them, she knows exactly who she wants... The one that are deep into her soul.
And what happens when the hero of the story, becomes the villain?

This book got my attention from start to finish, because I just had to know what happened not only in their present, but also in the events that led to the demise of that trio of friends.

The whole book is divided between NOW and THEN and the Pov changes fast between Romeo and Eden. It's not something that I usually enjoy... Flashbacks got me easily bored, but it works on this one, since they're all fast switched.

They have a really strong chemistry and sometimes I just wanted to punch Romeo in the face, for every push and pull, every verbal jab that he thrown at Eden.

The story is a bit predictable, since the very beginning you can already say how it will end, but it was very well written, so you can enjoy the turns.
I wish that it had more mafia action... It's a book themed on mafia, but I missed some real action other than a beat up.
It's very centered on their relationship.

I didn't expected a cliffhanger, since this is a standalone, but apparently there will be other book in the same universe.
This couple though, is finished.

FIVE FATE STARS for Eden and Romeo ❤🖤❤🖤!!!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I'm familiar with the writing of both authors so I had an idea of what to expect from this book.

But this book was better than I thought and definitely above my expectations!

With this book, Monica and Rachel proved that they are masters in writing mafia romance.

"Mafia Casanova" is a mafia romance full of angst with suspense and friends to enemies to lovers tropes from which you won't be able to detach until you reach the very end of it.

Eden is a female character because of which you'll feel all the emotions of her unhappy life and you'll want to help her.

She is a strong woman who is willing to do anything just to protect her family and its reputation, even though it means she'll have to live in a marriage that makes her unhappy.

Romeo, Romeo ...

I fell in love with his character from the very beginning no matter how cruel his actions were because deep in him is hidden the golden heart which will make him do anything just to protect the woman he loves even if it means he has to stay out of her life forever.

Eden and Romeo's relationship is full of chemistry and from the start, it can be seen that they were created for each other.

But before they can get their HEA, they need to overcome all the ups and downs.

Along with the two of them, Naz has found a special place in my heart!

You won't be able to not love him once you meet his kindness and immeasurable honesty.

If you're looking for a mafia romance book and you also love Monica and Rachel's writing styles, then this is the book for you!!!

Highly recommended!!!

P.S. I can't wait to read Juliet's book "Falling for the Villain" 😍❤🔥!!!

Wow 🤯 what a ride 🤩🤩
M.Robinson and Rachel Van Dyken together are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G !!
I didn't know what to expect from this story apart from the angst LOL.
Well i can say it was worth the wait 😍😍😍

Romeo is a killer.
He is an underboss of Sinacore Family.
He is a nightmare dressed like a daydream.
Only two things are important for him: the Famiglia and her, Eden.
She's always been part of his life.
They grew up together and she is the only one who doesn't fall for his lies.
He'd do anything to protect Eden, even give her up because he's not a good man.
But they share that kind of connection where you know the other better than yourself. They are soulmates.
They are meant to belong to each others but their happy ending won't come so easily....

Gosh these two drove me crazy.
I could feel the depth of their love but the push and pull between the two of them made me sad and angry for the time they wasted.
Yet i couldn't stop reading because i wanted that HEA badly.Because they deserved to be happy and in the end i loved everything about this story: the good and the bad, the angst, the pain, the love, the hate, the intensity of their of attraction...

Mafia Casanova is an emotional page-turner romantic suspense novel about second chance and how love can scare you and make you do stupid things.
The alternation between past and present is perfectly orchestrated to raise the reader's curiosity and let you discover little by little all the secrets and intrigues that make this story great.
And the ending only make you eager to read Falling for the Villain 🤯🤯🤩

This talented author duo delivers a mafia romance with angst, deceit, bloodshed and a love that could not be denied. Romeo is every dark mafia fantasy fulfilled. Ruthless when it comes to business but loving for the woman that owns him heart, body and soul.

Romeo is everything you want but can’t have. The only woman he has ever loved is Eden but he let her go. He stepped aside so a better man could have her. A man not tainted by blood and a soul stealing job as a mafia enforcer.

Eden always loved him, yet he walked away and let her marry his own brother. Romeo stole her heart a long time ago, but she settled for the man that showed her love and gave her stability. She could love him too, just in a different way.

The perfect life came crashing down around her. The pretty picture was full of flaws and deceit. Now that life is gone and she needs to find her way. Romeo is back to protect her and help her pick up the pieces.

Now Eden is ready for the ugly truth and if no one will tell her, she’s going to find out for herself. Romeo is not walking away this time. He’s ready to claim what’s always been his.

The mafia romance you expect from both of these authors. It’s suspenseful and riddled with sexual tension. Romeo is the alpha male you dream about and he delivers in every way. Eden is the calm and peace he needs. The path will be wrought with pain and sacrifice, but the end result makes it all worth it. I’m ready for more of this new mafia series.

I struggled how to rate this one. I actually enjoyed it more than the second book/part (Falling for the Villain- FftV) but the writing had issues. (choppy, plot driven by manipulation rather than development, etc.) Before diving in I think it’s important to note that this isn’t really a romance (even by anti-H standards) so I don’t recommend to anyone looking for romance or concerned with safety. Also, it’s not really communicated (they aren’t linked on GR/kindle) but this book ends in a cliffy and his sis’s story continues in FftV. Separately the books are 4.99 each, but you can get them together for .99 with Sinacore Crime Family bundle. (FYI)

** I’m going to try very hard to be as vague as possible, but this will have some spoilery bits and I’ll put the safety deets at the end… please 🤚🛑STOP 🤚🛑 if you want to go in completely blind.**

Mafia Casanova tells the messy story of Romeo, his brother Tristian, and the woman they love, Eden. The three grew up together and all are very close, but Eden only has romantic/soulmate feelings for Romeo. Romeo is the younger son, but he’s been “selected” as the one to carry on with the family business. Tristian is “softer” and kept out of the unsavory parts of the family. Early on Romeo decides that Tristian is the better option for his beloved Eden, so he pushes her away by sleeping with other women and making his feelings known that she should be with Tristian. Eventually, the two marry and the book picks up several years later. (the GR blurb is pretty vague, but the kindle blurb lays out ⬆️)

I went into this with my anti-H cap on and expected Romeo to be hard to love. I was also ready for other person shenanigans. I knew from the blurb that he’d be with OW and that she’d sleep with his brother. I was ready for it all… my grumps all came down to the writing. I had issues with character development, plot flow, plot manipulation, and relatability.

I found all the characters flat-ish. We’re given a bit of a description of each like… Romeo is hot with awesome hair and has a tendency to screw women for information then kill them. Eden is beautiful with red hair and has a tendency to cry, scream, and slap/hit the guys. Tristian is pretty much a jealous alcoholic… but that’s mostly it. I never felt like I knew or understood them. (like- Why was her only option to marry the brother? Couldn’t she have dated around, waited a bit, or tried to discuss things with Romeo? It was never explained why she just jumped into a marriage with the brother she didn’t love after Romeo pushed her away. Wouldn’t you rather marry someone that wouldn’t force you to sit with your lost love every family gathering or holiday?) This really got in the way of my feels and being invested in their story. I just wasn’t given enough to care about them.

The story flow was a smidge clunky and distracting at times. There’re two separate timelines flip-flopping throughout the majority of the book. The Then timeline starts many years (6-ish) in the past and winds its way towards the Now timeline. I didn’t love this format. The biggest reason being that I thought it was VERY obvious what had happened/where we were headed, and I ran out of patience kicking around in the past. Also, there wasn’t really any consistency for the alternating, so I felt like I had to keep rechecking to see where I was. For instance, every chapter starts with a random villain quote then if we’re switching timelines, we get a Then or Now, but if we’re staying in the same timeline, we just get the quote. Sometimes the Then timeline jumps weeks, months, years, so I found this all a bit jarring.

There are numerous times that the plot moves forward due to completely illogical happenings… like a mobster leaving assassin details on a usb sticking out of his computer or texting incriminating info for anyone to see… or a rat meeting with the baddie in public… or the mob offering 25 million contracts to kill secondary mafia members which I found ridiculous. I think offering 25 mill to kill the actual mob boss is pushing it let alone a housewife. 🙄 This coupled with the constant flip-flopping emotions of Eden felt like the story was being manipulated rather than developed.

There’re several short (1-3 word) sentences that made reading choppy, and at times the dialogue is SUPER cheesy that didn’t always gel with the darker, anti-H theme.

Eden was the garden we both wanted to plant our seed in.

Any moment in time. We were poetry. We were music lyrics. We were a happily ever after, not a to be continued. “I’ve only ever been yours. I just need you to keep me this time.”

Made for each other. Soul mates. Two people becoming one.

Bottom Line- This started out with a bang… Romeo literally banging… I was HOOKED gobbling it up, but then things started going off the rails. The characters remained stagnant, the plot started circling, and unrealistic plot devices had us racing to the finish line… an ending I had predicted WAY earlier. It almost felt like they struggled with where they wanted it to go so, they just threw in a little bit of everything. (some rejected h, triangle-drama, ow drama, mob violence, OTT soapy aspects, with a sprinkle of cheese)

Safety- I only remember two on-page sex scenes with OP. The book opens with Romeo’s (him sleeping to get info) and Eden’s is with Tristian later in the book, but it’s implied that Romeo got around because his “role” with the family was to be the “Casanova” by obtaining secrets through sex. “First off, I never sleep with women, ever, you know unless I’m slitting their throats. …but I got the impression this wasn’t always true because he made out with her nemesis at their wedding and almost slept with the caterer at her baby shower. It’s also implied she was having sex with Tristian throughout the marriage.

4.5 angsty stars

‘The reality of our love story was that it was over before it ever had a chance to begin.’

Well, M Robinson and Rachel Van Dyken certainly came out all guns blazing with the prologue in Mafia Casanova! Wow! What a way to begin one angsty, gritty, twisty and totally addictive Mafia Romance! This first collaboration between these authors was seamless. So cohesive was the collaboration, it was hard to tell where one author ended and the other began. A remarkable joint Mafia romance from this dynamic duo that only made our mouths water thinking about their next offering!

‘He was almost too pretty to be ruthless – but we all knew the truth. Sometimes the prettiest things in the world were far more warning than invitation.’

As we said, the prologue was unique and quite the heart stopper! We were desperate to uncover how this scene would fit into Romeo and Eden’s chaotic love story in a world where famiglia is everything. Where you live and die by your loyalty to the family, and no one takes that oath more earnestly than Romeo Sinacore! The ruthless menacing and dangerous younger brother of the Sinacore Mafia family.

‘I’m sorry that you had to make me the villain of your story in order to stay in the light and keep the onlookers in the dark. Paint me however you need to pain me so the guilt doesn’t feel so heavy.’ Stephanie Bennett Henry.

As children, Romeo, his older brother Tristan and their childhood friend Eden De Rossi, whose father was the head of security and a much-trusted member of the Sinacore Famiglia, were inseparable. As adults, their bond would tear them to pieces and cause no end of turmoil for Romeo, Tristan and Eden. At what cost would Romeo retain his loyalty to the family? At what cost to his heart and Eden’s sanity?

By telling their story in dual perspectives we were given an insight into two very conflicting characters, learning their secrets, and gasping at the twists this story took, as we turned each page. Romeo, a dangerous man for whom, death is a means to an end. A man with a cold heart that beats only for Eden, the forbidden love he keeps at a distance, the wife of his older brother Tristan. As we said, family is everything and Romeo forsakes his heart for his brother, but will he be able to stay away and at what cost?

‘I never imaged this would be my life. Forever stuck between a man who refused to let me go and one who dropped me the minute he was asked to.’

Although pulsing with searing passion, this is a slow burn romance about a love that would consume and destroy. A story of secrets, lies and betrayal told by two authors who know only too well how to grip a reader’s heart by serving up a huge dose of angst. We can picture M Robinson and RVD rubbing their hands with glee as they plot to destroy their reader’s hearts, keeping them on a knife’s edge, as they slowly and painfully sew them back together. Well played ladies! Well played!

‘That’s how different the brothers were. One wanted to own my soul while the other wanted my heart.’

The past and present switches were sometimes confusing which did impact the flow of the story at times, but this was a minor detail in an otherwise fabulous story. And whilst Eden and Romeo’s story had its conclusion in Mafia Casanova, the epilogue built preparing us for next book, Falling for the Villain (the next standalone releasing 16th May 2021 and available to pre-order here) perfectly! After beginning on a heart-stopper, these two authors certainly ended this story the same way! WOW!

Raw, dark and sinful.
Web-Photo-Editor Who would want salvation after tasting the sweetest sin.”

Hero : Romeo Sinacore, cold and lethal assassin for the Sinacore family. Known as Mafia Casanova. Middle brother between Tristan and Juliet. Helplessly in love with Eden and would do anything for her to be happy and safe. Absolutely convinced his older brother would be the better choice for her.

Hero : Eden De Rossi, daughter of the Sinacore head of security. Grew up with the Sinacore siblings. She loved Tristan, but was IN love with Romeo who owned her soul.
Web-Photo-Editor The hardest thing I’ve ever done in all my life is let you go. Please… forgive me.”

Plot/Pace : The day Romeo decided to step aside and let his older brother have the girl they both loved was the beginning of the end for all three of them.

Their story starts in present time and interweaves flashbacks to key moments of their lives, unfolding the connection between the three, unfolding how Eden and Romeo’s love goes through a myriad of happy ups and tragic downs until they finally find their happiness.

Sexiness : Although my heart was put through the blender with Eden and Romeo’s story, the two have a bone deep connection that translated in to fiery sexiness.

Feels : This is my first mafia romance and though romanticizing violence doesn’t sit well with me, I found this story about family, loyalty, love and sacrifice to be gripping. It was tragic, raw and heartbreaking. It was also intense and swoon worthy.
Web-Photo-Editor Home has only ever been wherever you are.”

Other noteworthy comments : I love it when a book has more elements to comment about, like the cover: SUPER HOT! So, so many highlighted emotional quotes! The epigraphs: TOTALLY AWESOME! My favs where the Darth Vader ones of course!

Facts: Mafia Casanova is a standalone mafia romance by authors M. Robinson and Rachel Van Dyken. It is a standalone, told from both points of view with a happy ending. Sub-Genres: Love triangle| Suspense

ARC received for an honest review

I have been on Rachel Van Dyken and M. Robinson's mafia journeys right from the start.

And this first collaboration, Mafia Casanova? I hope this is just the start of a wonderful relationship.

We quickly met Romeo Sinacore in the previous books from each author, and my interest was piqued.

And then I was hooked right from the prologue.

There was no holding back in this tale, Eden and Romeo's tale is not hearts and flowers. It is dirty and lusty - and heartbreaking.

I don't want to give anything away, as this is a story that you need to immerse yourself in, and going in a bit blind makes it even more.

The writing is seamless. You would never guess that there was more than one author involved. When it is collabs, I am always trying to figure out who wrote what. For the most part, I couldn't with Mafia Cananova - though there were some parts where I was "Rachel wrote this!".

To me, this has more of a Rachel Van Dyken mafia feel to it than an M. Robinson feel. And I am not saying that to take away from a either author. This book just didn't have the level of angst that I have come to expect and love from Monica's tales.

There were things that I had a pretty good idea where they were heading as I was reading, however there were still twists and turns thrown in.

And I am now hoping, after where this tale took us, that we get many more books from these authors.

I need more.

Romeo & Tristian Sinacore are brothers. Eden De Rossi is the daughter of their security team and the one that might come between them. When you live within the mafia and their rules, sometimes it can get messy. Can Romeo live with what he did? Will everyone find their happily ever after or is that just a fantasy in the world with where they live? It’s better to go into this blind as I don’t want to give any spoilers. This moves fast and months go by in a few chapters which I wished flowed a little more. It also goes from past to present. I found some of their decisions a little immature which made it difficult to connect with them. There is plenty of action, deception, lies and suspense within this mafia romance. Oh, and some mafia cameos as well. Possible trigger for some as there is some cheating. Told in dual POV

4 Codes To Live By Stars
* * * * Spoiler Free-Quick While You Can-KU!!!!
Mafia Stories take you to another place...we must understand all the reasons why our characters do what they do. They live by codes that allow actions most would run from, accepting them as It Is What It Is. This is the only way to read these books...

And with that in mind, it is important to understand what you will accept and buy into before reading these types of crime family books. I am fortunate because I am able to set aside my norm and dive in.

M. Robinson and Rachel Van Dyken have created one of those worlds, violent, brazen in the way it is open and there in your face.
The people who inhabit it are not to be ignored. They are fully formed, have an understanding of their environment, no shame in what they are, and relish the fight.

This like a Kane and Able type of tale, with brothers and a woman they both loved. One, the outwardly evil, the blatant killer...The other still part of this violent family but working the numbers, the one who would be the safe choice.

Only the choice was taken from the one they loved. She was made to take the choice given to her and it was this action that is the root of this story. We are in the past and present, each reflecting on actions taken.

Secrets happen, betrayal, guilt, anguish and in the end, the undying love that had always been there.
This team is on a roll...Falling for the Villain will bring you more in May 20121.

“Love your enemies for they tell you your faults.” ~Benjamin Franklin I find this particular quote fitting for Mafia Casanova by M. Robinson and Rachel Van Dyken as this book has readers questioning what if everything you love and know is one big pile of broken twisted fragments of lies, truths and pain. Do you really know your enemy? Your brother? Your lover? Your sense of worth?

78aa593b39a135eafb818e6ca33efc The reality of our love story was that it was over before it ever had a chance to begin.”

The question still remains… Do you? Yes, these are some of the questions M. Robinson & Rachel Van Dyken will have their readers asking. In the game of survival, one knows the answer.. You fight to live but what happens when love is complicated. What happens when there are two men fighting for your heart and soul? Is one man the villain? Is one man the enemy? Is one man the hero? It’s easy to judge and pick a favorite but what happens when it’s two brothers fighting for your heart? And then add in the mafia and violence into the mix, then you get one twisted clusterfuck of a story that will toy with your emotions.

78aa593b39a135eafb818e6ca33efc That’s how different the brothers were. One wanted to own my soul while the other wanted my heart.”

Mafia Casanova was that book that brought you to your knees and had your heart on the edge. It gutted you. Played with your heartstrings. And then most importantly, the authors held your heart in their grips. Every fiber of emotions and pain was dripping from this book. You were held hostage with their seductive and sinful words. They brought you inside to their mafia world where two different characters and story lines blended into one sinister and explosive world that blended beautifully together. The complexity of the characters and their flaws highlighted a vulnerability that I find relatable especially when it comes to the matters of the heart and loyalty. So if you are looking for a love story that had it all from revenge, death, love, jealousy, and seduction then this is the book for you because in this love story.... the villain might be the one to steal and break your heart.

An epic, amazing mafia that will leave you breathless and screaming Romeo! This story will blow you away and make you want to scream at Romeo and Eden! The characters, mystery, violence and deception will make this an obsession from the first word! An absolute MUST READ and a 5+ STAR RATING!! You need a Romeo in your life! Go and buy this book NOW!!

There are authors whose books you drop everything else and start reading the minute it hits your kindles! RVD is one of those! She honestly, in every genre and book has NEVER let me down with her words or stories!! This book is the same as every other book with RVD on it!!

Her mafia completely consumes me - it is a constant reread and a lot of books are compared to these books. It’s how she interweaves every little detail and sucks you in with all the lies, deception and violence (yes! She is the queen of guns and blood around the family table!).

This book hooks you from the cover alone! Hello Romeo! These two authors have a masterpiece that will continue to stay with me after I just read the last page. They are explosive writing together and you cannot tell who wrote what. As this story unfolds, you will continuously keep asking yourself Why - over and over again.

As always, this mafia story has everything you expect from RVD and M. Robinson. There is angst, betrayal, blood, violence and everything in between! This story will break you and hatter you but then slowly put it all back together. This book is amazing and you need it TODAY!

Seriously, a top 10 read for this crappy year of 2020! Finally something that is a positive escape from reality!

Let me start off by giving credit where it's due. You would NOT know that this book was written by two different authors. And while I have yet to read anything else by M. Robinson, I have read enough of Rachel's novels (especially her mafia ones), that I thought for sure I would be able to spot who wrote what (or if they only wrote a specific character), however the characters seamlessly blend together so that this is one cohesive story.

However, I.... had a lot of problems with this one. One of the biggest ones being the switch not only in points of view, but in time periods. I understand what the authors were trying to do, but for me, it just made it feel very disjointed and more than once I had to go back and look to see if what was going on was happening in "real time" or in the past.

I also couldn't empathize (or even sympathize) with any of the characters (except Naz).

To me, Romeo wasn't sexy. He was a complete asshole.

And Eden? Was no better. I first lost interest in her when she

Together? Toxic is the first thing that comes to mind. For crying out loud they both knew that Tristan (Eden's husband, Romeo's older brother and a bigger asshole than the both of them combined), was jealous of their relationship, yet they never made any attempt to hide their feelings for each other. Eden honey, if you didn't love Tristan, you shouldn't have married him.

I'm sorry, I read to be entertained not to

Now all of that being said, I know I am going to likely be in the minority here. Things I didn't like or didn't find sexy about a particular character or scene other people are likely to love. That's just the nature of reading. This book does end on something of a cliff-hanger (not where it pertains to these two, as they get their happily-ever-after, but as a lead in to the authors' next co-written story entitled Falling for the Villain). I'll admit to being curious about that one as we don't really get to see much of Juliet in this book so I'm interested to see how the females of the Sinacore family compare to the men.

DISCLAIMER: I received a complimentary copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review. This has not affected my review in any way. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are 100% my own.

The anticipation and wait for this story seems forever but Rachel Van Dyken and M. Robinson did not disappoint.
This story was about family and forgiveness, about hope and love, but most of all it was about doing the right thing and giving up a soulmate for the greater good.
These characters were easy to love but well written enough to hate. The hero becomes the villain and the villain turns into the the devil only to become the avenging angel.
Absolutely loved this story!

ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.

I've been excited for this since I heard that these two authors were teaming up for a co-write mafia novel. I've read a couple of M Robinson books, but I've read quite a few RVD books, and her Eagle Elite series is one of my favourite ever series of books. So this new addition to this world was definitely something I wanted to get my hands on.

The writing in this was very seamless - I wasn't reading the book going, oh now we've switched over to the other author. There were a couple of little hints that made me think I knew who wrote a chapter here or there, but the whole thing was so seamless it wasn't really something I thought about at all.

As for the story, well it starts off with a bang, and had me so very intrigued as to what things we were going to find out. What truths. I wanted Romeo to be happy. I wanted to discover how things had gotten to the point we were at.

I truly enjoyed this one, and a huge part of that was also Naz. What a fabulous addition to the story. There were twists and turns I didn't see coming, particularly as we got closer to the end. There was one thing I guessed, and I'm sure thats an intentional thing by the authors - I would not have been happy if my hunch wasn't true haha. But when we got to that point nearing the end, where things really ramped up - boy did everything happen.

And then, we get that epilogue! Say what now?! Absolute jaw dropper of an ending. Full of suspense, this one will keep you on the edge of your seat. Definitely recommend, and I hope these two continue to write together in this world for many more books to come.

Two of my favorite authors, M. Robinson, and Rachel Van Dyken, have come together to create a Mafia Masterpiece. Mafia Casanova is the perfect storm of books. It has a love triangle, sex, betrayal and of course no mafia book would be complete without some violence. As with most of Robinson’s books there must be some major angst in the story and believe me when I say that Eden brings it. I saw Eden as being selfish and egotistical and she made the perfect main female character. I hated her through most of the book, but you have got to have a villain in a book like this and she was it. I immediately fell in love with Romeo. Big, gorgeous, violent….you know everything that a woman would swoon over. I sat down and read this book in one day. I could NOT put it down. I can’t wait for the next book in the series Falling for the Villain that is due out in May of 2021. These two best selling authors are incredible on their own but putting them together is sure to bring the literary community to its knees. 5-stars plus about a hundred more for Mafia Casanova by M. Robinson and Rachel Van Dyken.

„Promise me forever.”

What happens when two mafia queens decide to join forces? We get a mindblowing, jaw-dropping and steamy as hell story! I cannot even explain how excited I was for this book. Both Rachel Van Dyken and M. Robinson are exceptional when it comes to creating ruthless and dangerous heroes, but Romeo Sinacore? I wasn't prepared for this guy. Hell, I wasn't prepared for this whole plot! Mafia Casanova is suspenseful, emotional and deliciously sexy. In short - everything you could want from a good mafia romance.

Romeo is a killer mix because this guy is both a fighter and a lover. This man, with his charisma and laid-back attitude, is able to charm you completely and then slice your throat without warning. I'm not kidding when I say that he scared me as much as he made me swoon. See? Killer mix! But besides being a mafia romancer, Romeo is a very selfless and protective guy. He’s a man who will sacrifice his own happiness and desires to ensure the safety and well-being of his loved ones.

Eden is a girl who is strong, tough, and although she grew up as a girl in the middle of the men's world, she is by no means a pushover. She has a good heart and she’s forgiving, but she’s far from a doormat. I admired her feistiness, her resolve and her strenght. I loved that whatever happened, she always was caring and considerate, even when her world was crumbling.

Their love story spans over the years, bringing along the angst, heartbreak, longing and regrets. It's a love intertwined with sacrifice, sadness, and lies. My heart broke for Eden and Romeo, I could feel their disappointment, their anger, the astonishment when it came to the plot twist that I never saw coming… I could also feel their palpable chemistry and the passion that was pouring off the pages like a hot lava. These two are sinfully sensual and I loved their journey, even when I wanted to smash my Kindle on the ground, lol!

Mafia Casanova is an addicting and unputdownable book, filled with angst, steam and emotions. Van Dyken and Robinson did a stellar job with Romeo and Eden’s story and I can’t wait for more of their collaboration! I'm already rubbing my hands at the thought of Juliet's story!

Fireworks of emotions. Explosion of passion and violence. An intense, dramatic, gritty and jaw dropping story line brought to life by two of my all time favourite authors. Mafia Casanova is a mafia romance masterpiece and then some more. I expected a power packed performance when mafia romance queens M. Robinson and Rachel Van Dyken joined forces. But this story exceeded all my wildest expectations.

Romeo Sinacore has a reputation. He seduces his preys and then kills them without hesitation. His loyalty is to his mafia family. And to the woman he loves and he lost. Eden. His forever love. Wife of his elder brother Tristian. Now his brother has been assassinated. And he has been entrusted with the job of protecting Eden and her little son Naz. Welcome to Romeo's personal hell.

This story is heavy on angst and darkness. Eden and Romeo's love story was doomed and oh my freaking heart! This man is impossible. He calls himself the monster, the sinner, the murderer and everything. And he condemned himself to life long pain and broke Eden's heart to save her. How can I not get obsessed with this man? Eden is so fierce and strong but her married life has extinguished her spirits. And she was living this bleak, dreadful and fearful life. They have hate and love equally brewing between them. And those confused, intense and messy just exploded. The chemistry is freaking phenomenal. Hotter than hell. All consuming. Soul deep. Beyond every trouble and challenge. The secrets kept on coming and I had to pick my jaw off the floor repeatedly. This was a raw, gritty and chaotic love story that can only happen in mafia world. Eden accepts and embraces and loves Romeo's darkness. Romeo found his salvation and redemption in her love. He loved her avove everything. They are flawed but perfect for each other.

Mafia Casanova was an sexy, action packed and heartaching adventure for sure. The emotions gripped my heart. The twists and turns kept me on the edge. M. Robinson and Rachel Van Dyken together formed a powerhouse!

My new mafia obsession!

I’m obsessed!! One of the best things to happen in 2020 was M. Robinson and Rachel Van Dyken co-writing a book together! Romeo and Eden’s story was very intense and angsty. I wasn’t able to put it down even though my heart kept having mini heart attacks. Romeo was one of the best villains I’ve read. He was unapologetic, yet I still loved him! Can’t wait for Juliet’s book! May 2021 can’t get here soon enough!
