I never really felt like Morgan loved Tanner, more that he had affection for him and found him attractive, but the over-arching plot had me continuing to listen. While there are steamy scenes, they weren't as plentiful as the previous books as Morgan gave Tanner his firsts.
This is the first book of this series that I could not finish @55%.
Listen, it’s been 55% of literally NOTHING of importance/action happening. 55% of some “important” scenes (really they were shitty scenes that I really dint care for. Mercy being turned into a full witch by Morgan? Who cares! Mercy is barely a background character that contributes nothing of full importance to the book except help birth the dragon babies and brew teas) and talking, talking and more talking. Some narration added to infuriate me some more.
There were so many scenes that, I feel, were written because the author ran out of things to write so he just...wrote random scenes hoping the book dint came out with like just 100 pages.
I already know that ending is going to be cliche as hell (like the last 3 books) were the bad guy appears, the MC’s get beat up a little, a miracle happens to one of the MC’s which enables them to win the current fight, the Omega turns out to be pregnant (after the 4th “mating” scene they all look and sound the same, tbh. Nothing fascinating there either), they give birth and that’s it.
Rinse and repeat.

Ah yes, another good one. I’ve really loved this series and I think the authors did a good job turning Morgan into a likable character. Not that he was unlikable before, he was just a bit of a stuffy square. There’s a lot to like about Tanner. Geeky computer nerd with a bit of low aesthetic self esteem but a strong will and a sharp mind. I liked watching the love grow between him and Tanner. Of course with mates there’s always insta-ness but in this series it’s just a biological lust, no insta-love, no you’re-the-only-being-in-existence-to-mate-with, so each side have the ability to choose to become mates. The war against the Templar’s continues. I don’t want to spoil so I’ll just say that it looks like the plot has set things up a bit for future books in the series. I’m hoping it eventually turns into a Yuri book.
I’m really looking forward to Omega’s Savior which I think might be Cam’s story
I have been a fan of this series ever since I picked it up. But this book is kind of the turning point and the real show case of overall plot and arc of the series. I love that there's the little one of romances that are so common and we'll liked in this genre. It's very cute but there is actually a story going on that's building. I really appreciate it some substance to the fluff. This is a fun ride that I'm happy to be on and I encourage more people to join.
*I voluntarily read this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one elses*
I had no words to describe Morgan when he first made an appearance. However, I have plenty to say about him after reading this book. He changed drastically and definitely for the better. He was sweet, attentive and patient with Tanner. Tanner was an utter mess towards the end and I could fault him under the circumstances.
This storyline was absolutely amazing The interactions of the characters the whole endeavor for the rescue absolutely amazing Paige Turner to the very end twists didn't see coming absolutely fabulous
The author's descriptions of lovemaking make his books! You can feel the emotions. You can feel the heart accelerating, then slowing in calm. You can feel a breath of air against an ear, like a petal gliding along your skin. You can feel the breath catches. You can feel your flesh tightening. You can feel the soft whisper of a garment leaving your body. You can feel the strength and connection in the line of saliva as your lips part. Either that, or I had a prolonged stress attack. Tanner/Pavlov, hacking into Templar which has over 100k employees, assuming there are back doors or employees who will open random emails. He has 4 fellow hackers with him on Templar. He was looking for his brother Cameron, and the reason why he was taken. Tanner sees looking into Templar as solving a big puzzle. What others may ignore, he looks for patterns. He stumbled on surveillance and wonders what Templar is looking for in Comfort, Tx. Tanner escaped and is searching for his brother. The compound thinks as long as they integrate wiht the human city, it's harder for Templar to intrude without notice. Tanner's investigation serves as a catalyst that changes the game for everyone. Roles on the compount change and expand. Alliances are tentatively formed and some solidified. Excellent story. Well done!
If the last book was heavy on the action/adventure, this story was positively packed with heart-pounding, adrenaline-surging moments. Thanks to Tanner's hacking abilities, I learned so much about what the templars were doing, and it's even more sinister than I could have guessed. It made me savagely satisfied to see Morgan get revenge for what the templars put him through in the last story, despite how horrific it was to re-live his time in the lab. I thought the romance between Tanner and Morgan was very sweet and believable, and I'm really loving the whole Spitfire ranch community. Between the exciting rescue missions and potential involvement of the ancients, this book really ramped things up towards an epic finale!
**I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this series. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.
A stranger arrives at the ranch. A stranger who smells like an Omega. Morgan can't shake the feeling of it being a trap, considering what happened the last time he met up with an Omega.
Tanner, is a hacker, and a good one. Separated from his brother by the foster care system, he finally finds him. Only for that brother to be ripped away from him, kidnapped by Templar industries. The Templars have an intense interest in those at this remote Texas farm, and Tanner is determined to find out why.
This is the story of Tanner and Morgan. And involves an escalating plot, as the ranch inhabitants come up with a plan to break Cameron (Tanner's brother) out of a Templar research facility. Lots of twists and turns.
The fight between dragons and Templars gets more intense with each book and the ending of each one winds me up a bit more than that of the last volume. The authors are doing a great job of choosing which characters are the focus and just where to end each book so you get the HEA for the focus couple but are still left hanging and wanting more of the full story. I enjoyed the fact that in this book, the dragon seems to need healing more than those in the previous books. He is still powerful, but his time as a Templar captive and the damage he endured make for a lovely hurt/comfort story. We learn more about the world and its politics here but what I enjoyed in the other books still remains true - we don't get it all, just more new puzzle pieces tofit into the ones we have and a few that don't wuite fit yet because we still need more information. All our friends from the other books are still around, families continue to grow as does the ranch. So glad all the series is out so I can binge read it. Off to volume five.
Things are really coming together in this world. This book will leas directly into the next one I’m sure without a year delay between events. I really fell for Morgan and I liked Tanner a lot. The events at the end of the book were crazy and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
I have to admit I thought this book was slow going the first half, but at some point it became a fast page turner all the way to the end. Our geeky techie nerd Tanner with gruff attitude Morgan made a sweet couple, but not all that electrifying. But the story arc, especially the ending was what intrigued me most! I loved the twist and can’t wait to find out what happens next.
Tanner and Morgan find each other by accident. Their story includes dealing a devastating blow to the Templars and rescues are made. They have a startling surprise when they return from their mission. I love this series.
This series just keeps getting better. I really like the evolving story line and can't wait to see what happens in the next book. I like the way Tanner is described. It makes him relatable. The love story within all the action is super sweet.
Not my favourite of the bunch. Enjoyed the last few pages instead and all the action. Now let's go see why a kid, he obviously sounded like a kid, decided to expose the existence of dragons in book 5...
This is the fourth book in The Guardian Dragons Series. An enjoyable book the writing was good. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters delightful. The characters were developed and thought out. Tanner and Morganare the MC’s of this book. I can recommend this book as a good read. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.
The change in Morgan is what really kills me with this series. at first I just wanted to hate him but seeing him now, ive changed that mindset. great book. love this series!
I loved this book and I am going to say that book 3 is no longer my favourite.
The story of Morgan and Tanner itself was sweet and (in my view) kind of slow burn. I loved the slight off start and the discovering of each other they do, the trust that builds and the love between them.
The main story continues and where a couple of threads were closed in this book, it leaves us on one big cliffhanger, and I can't wait to see what might happen next.
A more action-packed addition! This is Morgan's story (featured in book 3) He's been captured by the Templars before and was severely wounded from that encounter. He meets Tanner, who warns him that he is still under threat, but he doesn't believe Tanner. Tanner has his own reasons to fight the Templars. He and Morgan eventually join forces and become much more as the story progresses. The action and suspense keeps ramping up with each book. Looking forward to the next one :)
This fourth book sees Morgan become a likeable character (the stick has been somewhat removed) when he comes into contact with Tanner. Tanner has been searching for his brother for 6 months, in that time he along with fellow hackers have been looking into Templar Industries, as Tanner is sure they have him, but until he meets with Morgan and the Comfort crew, he doesn't know why.
This series is good and this book picks up the pace and the action as things are coming to ahead for those living and living at the ranch, I love how Tanner doesn't let his insecurities and fears get in the way and I can't wait for what comes next.
First book I really enjoyed of the series, though the storyline is still nothing new. The relationship between Morgan and Tanner actually felt authentic, you could see the chemistry building between them.
Omega’s Rescue is the fourth book in the Guardian Dragon series by authors Aiden Bates and Jill Haven. This book is written in dual pov. One of my favorites on pov cause it allows me into both character’s heads and knows what they are thinking and feeling. This book is not standalone. This story builds from where book three left off. The politics and general world-building is established and growing from book to book. Tanner is a hacker. His brother Cameron and himself were snatched from the streets by the Templars. The Templars still have Cameron only Tanner escaped them. Now it is his mission to make the Templars pay and to find his brother. Morgan had been once a captive of the Templars. They had taken his arm. When Tanner comes to him and lets him know the Templars might have him under surveillance, he doesn’t trust Tanner. He also doesn’t understand how Tanner doesn’t know what he really is. Morgan doesn’t want pity; he wants space and time. After all, he is a dragon and they have pride. But Tanner is growing on him. Tanner is gutsy and brave. He is also smart. The more Morgan is around him the more he wants him. I loved this addition to the series. Very much feels like the middle of the storybook. There is a build-up to more. I cannot wait for more stories and who falls in love next.
I know I keep telling this, but right now this is my very favorite book in this series! It's the most emotional, the sexiest and the most believable story in my opinion. I didn't think it was possible for me to ever warm up to Morgan and the way he treated everyone, but it seems it only took Tanner and here I am, head over heels with him and his mate.
The story is VERY fast paced, I read it in one sitting because I couldn't put it down (who needs sleep anyway?). I loved the way Morgan took care about Tanner, how tender and loving he was. There was more than just dragon-omega attraction and it was the first book in Guardian Dragons series were the whole mating was fully explained and really desired by the Omega. The book is well-written with lovable characters and my only complaint is the abrupt ending with something like a clifhanger (it felt kind of rushed, but well - war is war, right?)
