'Taking the Fall' is the first book of the 'Viper's MC ' series by Kally ash. This was a new to me author and I would definitely be reading more of her.

MC Romances are my all time favorite and I loved this one too! Nick and Alexis are perfect and I can't wait to have more of them!

Nick is finally a free man after serving for a crime he didn't commit. He has a lot of scores to settle. All his plans are destroyed when he meets the beautiful , Alexis. She shocks him and intrigues him to no end. But there are so many secrets between them. No really the perfect start of a relationship. Now it is upto them to trust each other with their past or to let each other go.

This one was good and I would definitely recommend it to all the dark Romance lovers who also love MC Romances!

A Fast-paced Smooth going Story With Action, dangers, Suspense and Finding love in the midst of it all.
Loved Alex, Nick & other characters! DEVOURED this in 6hrs.

#My 1st by Kally, I'm so excited for the next book in this series!

Nick is Sweet+Protective. He took the fall of a crime he didn't commit. It was his bro's & don't worry, That guy took the brunt of it.
Alex is Sassy+Kind. She'd been broken by the men of her life.. She's Strong, Being the daughter of the Vipers MC's president and Ex of their dangerous Rival MC's VP. All she wanted was to get away from MC business, but it came at a cost.

5yrs later, Now Nick's a Free man..and NEEDS a job. Alex, owner of a car repair shop, gave him one. Security Guard.
Here they met, and through work, Yoga, Dinners..Spending time together, they grew close.
Things soon heats up b/w them, AND a Relationship Starts *Yay*.
But both are cautious, They share their Past pains, Secrets..But Not all, not at once. Though Slowly, they DO *Swoon*.
So many Morbid similarities.. *Sad tears*

She needed a Security guard, there must be a reason, huh? Yup, her measly Ex. I hate him.
Things progresses bad with him here, as if they weren't bad enough.

And She doesn't get along with her dad well [BACKSTORY ALERT], This caused some problems here, though Gladly her dad was just being overprotective.

But Then Alex is kidnapped..Cue Action+Thrilling Scenes Ahead!!
Why? By Who?
Confusion, Truths, Anger, determination..
Her dad helped a lot here, Nick of course didn't backdown.. Dante (her old friend) was so Crucial!

Fight, Heart-gripping moments, Love Confession, HEA!
Nick+Alex fought so hard, Had gone through so much, they deserved this happiness❤.

P.s. I loved her Bestie/Employee-Bliss! Btw, Alex has a cute Dog-Lucifer too😍.

Taking the Fall is the first book in the Vipers MC series and we start off with Nick, an ex-con who has just been released after serving five years for a crime he didn't commit, and Alex, the daughter of the Vipers President with whom she has a tricky relationship at best. These two find themselves working together when Nick asks for a job in return for somewhere to live and eat.

The attraction between these two is immediate but neither of them do anything about it, giving the book a bit of a slow burn. You get to find out about Alex's past before anything happens although Nick doesn't share his side.

This book has an amazing cast of characters and I can't wait to see who is up next. Although Talon might go about it the wrong way, his love for his daughter is deep. I hope he turns up in future books and we can see whether he and Alex can work things out.

All in all, this was a great MC read that I thoroughly enjoyed and have no hesitation in recommending.

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

Nick just got out of prison for a crime he didn't commit, and he's going to keep his head down.  Of course now he needs a job & a place to live which puts him in Alexis' path.  She owns a mechanic shop and gives Nick a chance by hiring him.  She's trying to stay under the radar when it comes to her dangerous father, but it's not easy to do so she needs help when her past comes back to bite her.  Nick is that help, but the journey they start on is full of chaos since danger never colors inside the lines. The twists kept me on the edge of my seat with heart racing & f-bombs dropping which is where I LOVE to be when reading any book.  Oh, then there's that whole intense chemistry thing they have going on, and it's the kind that won't be denied for long.  Can Nick keep Alexis safe, and stay out of prison this time around?!  Hit those one click buttons to find out!  Kally Ash started her Vipers MC series with a bang, and I CANNOT WAIT for more!  HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

This is the 1st in a new series and is Nick and Alexis’ story. Nick has just been released from a 5-year prison sentence for a crime he did not commit, and he need a roof over his head and a job. Alexis owns a local mechanic shop and she hires Nick. Alexis is trying to escape from her father and as her past and present violently collide, she finds herself in a dangerous situation, as well as Nick finding himself in a situation which landed him in prison to start with. This is one of those tales that have the reader on tenterhooks throughout. This is a well written story which is filled with secrets, lies, twists, emotion, action, and is a fast paced, intense, and steamy read. I cannot wait to read more from this author whose work I recommend.

Nick and Alexis

He's just out of prison for a crime he really didn't commit. He has his reasons for being in there but now he's free. He needs a job and a place to live. What he finds will put him in a situation with his past and hope for a future.

Both characters are strong with deep emotional feelings. They have losses and trust issues. When the past interferes with their present will they make it through--alive?

Two warring MC's. Two brothers--the actual blood-related kind. Parental relationships. With so much against them, it is hard to see a future. Yet they have good friends and one of them is four-legged and doesn't like many men but gives Nick his approval. A good start for Nick with Alexis.

A good read with actions, emotion, and plenty of steam.

This is an addictive story of action, passion, and mystery. Going in I thought it was going to be the typical MC romance but thus is so much more. The depth of the characters, the constant secrets, the passion the action... I couldn't put the story down. I really loved the wrold the author created and the dynamics between the main characters was explosive! Highly recommended. I want more...

Nick has just been released from prison after 5 years for a crime he didn't commit.  Alex is a down on her luck mechanic who takes a chance and hires Nick to be security for her garage in exchange for food and a place to stay.  They know next to nothing about each other except that they have off the charts chemistry.  Little do they know, their lives have been intertwined for years in a very tragic way.  With the mess that Alex has herself in and both of their pasts coming home to roost, you have to wonder if/how they will make it.  This was a good read and opened up a lot of other avenues for continuing with different characters that leaves you curious as to what their stories could be.

This is a new to me author and one I'll definitely be reading more from. This is a brand new series though and from the first page I was hooked. The author has come up with likeable characters and a plot that will draw you in and refuse to let you let you go. This is definitely one series you don't want miss.

With secrets lurking around every corner, will N & A be able to open up enough to have each others back? Or will their walls stay stubbornly up?

A fast paced book that will keep you guessing till the very last page, with twists you won't see coming.

This was an amazing book. I wasnt sure at first, but by chapter 2 I was hooked and I couldn't put it down till I finished it. The characters are great, and of course I fell in love with Lucifer (who wouldn't fall in love with a pitty baby hehe). The twist towards the end shocked me but it a good way. I totally understand why she went that way once I got to the end of the book. It was just amazing. And now I can't wait for the next one

I really enjoyed this book and storyline. Was a great read, can't wait for the next book!

Nick did 5 years in jail for a crime he didn't commit. Upon release he wants a clean, simple life. Finding employment in a local mechanic shop, owned and run by Alexis Cross, Nick finds himself in a situation dangerously close to dragging him into the life he is trying to steer clear of.
Alexis is trying to make her own way, despite her parentage and past relationships, but its proving difficult in her home town. As her past and present collide she finds herself in a dangerous situation.

The story is told in dual perspective: a chapter is told by the male character, Nick and the next is told by the female protagonist, Alex. The perspective alternate and the book starts with Nick getting out of prison. After the first chapter, I thought the book was ok, but in the beginning, I didn't like the female protagonist that much. However, the more I read the more she grew on me. I ended up loving this book and I think is in my top 10 favourites of the year.Plot-wise I don't think this was the most original idea, but it was executed flawlessly. Nick, sent to prison for a crime he didn't commit, is a just-released after serving five years. He wants to begin a new life, away from everything that got him in prison in the first place. Alexis is a girl trying to hold onto the life she has, away from her father and his influence. But they are both holding secrets, and when the past violently collides with the present a dangerous game begins. And this game could be fatal… I did love the climax of this book. It was well executed, and it kept me on my toes. I just couldn't put the book down until I finished it. The writing didn't fell short either. I fell in love with Kally Ash's writing about a third into the book. The tet flows smoothly and is easy to follow, even when English isn't your first language.
The main characters of the book are Nick and Alex. They are round, dynamic, complex and it was interesting to watch how they report to the world around them. In the beginning, I didn't like Alex as a character. I thought she was just a little scared girl that couldn't properly make sense of reality, but I was so wrong. She grew quickly on me, as I realized that in the beginning I just saw a result of bad choices. She was still naïve in some way and she wanted to help others even though she could barely keep her job secure. I was fascinated by the fire inside her and her desire to keep going. I liked Nick from the very start. He is protective, attentive and he still has a dose of masculinity that I find to be very attractive. He became one of my fictional crushes, and to some extent, I wish he was real. A side character I loved is Bliss, who was like sunshine. She was funny, energic and bubbly and it made the story great. I loved her character.

The romance of the book was rock solid. If I were to choose one thing I liked the most in this book I think that would be the romance. Nick and Alex's relationship wasn't always the most solid up till the end, due to secrets, but it was wholesome. I love the fact that the romance wasn't built around the plot, but it gave me the feeling the plot was built around an amazing love story. I enjoyed the atmosphere of a real city, of a real-life and it helped me imagine the setting better.

If I thought having her hand on me was dangerous, her mouth was like having a stick of dynamite with the fuse less than a quarter-inch from the end.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone over 15 that is looking for a good love story and a good book to make the time pass by. I think this is one of the best books one could read around this time of year. I only have one warning it's over way too quickly. You get a feeling of satisfaction when you reach the ending, but also of sadness that there isn't more of this series to read.

Taking the Fall by Kally Ash was a marvelous book about two people whose paths crossed before either one realized. It has a taste of MC without being fully based in the MC world. It’s very steamy and hot! I loved that Kally added some action to keep you on the edge of your seat. Once you get into the story, you become addicted to Alex and Nick and their crazy love story!

Nick spent the last 5 years behind bars for something he didn’t do, just to keep his brother safe. When he is finally free his main focus was to find a job, while searching he notices a car mechanic garage that seems like she needs help in security. She is reluctant to hire him since business is slow. Yet, all he requests as payment is food in his stomach and a roof over his head. With there already being an apartment above the garage it’s an easy answer. Especially since she has someone from her past that is very volatile and angry.

Alex is the daughter of the President of the Vipers MC. Yet due to the club being at fault for her twin brother’s death she wants nothing to do with her father or the club. Her father still wants to protect her so he will watch her from afar. Alex used the funds from a rival MC to open her dream, a mechanic shop. Yet when business slows she is unable to make her payment and he begins stalking and scaring her. Her dog, Lucifer, can only keep him away for so long.

Lucifer, Luci, is very protective of Alex, to the point that he won't let men get close to her without making his presence known. He will growl, or bare his teeth to make them leave her alone. However, when Nick walks in and Luci, greets him happily Alex knows Nick is different.

Will Alex’s past come back to haunt her, or will Nick be able to help keep the ghosts away?

Kally Ash gave a preview of the next book, and man o’ man! I am ready now!!! I can’t wait for Dante’s story, I hope that Bliss is the love interest!!

I love taking a chance on new to me authors, and this book was just phenomenal. From the very beginning you just know this is going to be an emotional read, and it definitely had me tearing up more than once. Plus all the twists and turns had me glued to my kindle!!!

Nick has just been released from prison after a long five years for a crime he didn't commit. He needs a job, a roof over his head, and someone to take a chance on him. Alexis owns her own mechanic shop and is desperately trying to get away from her father and the horrors of her past. When she hires Nick, it doesn't take long for them to develop an intense emotional connection, along with some truly amazing chemistry. But when the past and present collides, and secrets & truths are revealed, will their love, along with their lives, survive?

I can't recommend this book enough!! I loved everything about it!! I can't wait for more books in the series!

Nick Sobolev was sent to prison for a crime he didn't commit. After 5 years he is released and now needs to find a job and start his life over as an ex con.
Alexis Cross owns a mechanic shop and Nick walks in looking for a job. Alexis is trying to avoid her father but in a city it is hard to do that. Her past is catching up to her and not in a good way.
I wanted to know more about both of them and Kally Ash did not disappoint. Learning who Alexis's father is and her past made me wanting more to read and Nick's past was also revealed. The chemistry between these 2 is right there for us. Oh yeah and I can't forget that there is Alexis's exes who are no good. Did I mention Alexis's dog? Yeah he is a big part in this book as well and I wanted to reach through the book and hug him.

Taking the Fall was extremely good! I enjoyed reading it and seeing the story between Alex and Nick. They were so well matched! However I am only giving it 3 hearts because I personally feel it was lacking some thing. It just needed a bit more substance to it, if that makes any sense? It just seemed TOO easy and it was super close to "insta-love" which I'm not a fan of. But like I said, the characters are super well written and the plot line was good even though it is kind of cliche. So if you're into a quickish MC type romance, jump in and give this one a chance!

I really enjoyed this start to Nick and Alexis's story. Having done time for a crime he didn't commit, Nick finds himself in a place he didn't expect and Alexis is there, bring the past and present to collide.
There's emotions flying and deep issues that are ingrained into the characters, and I loved that this story wasn't just a simple endeavour. There's lots of action and heat to keep the plot moving and it definitely makes you want to keep reading. Looking forward to the next installment!

I really loved this book. I have to say, I am going through a bit of a MC romance phase and this novel didn't disappoint. Alex and Nick have great chemistry, the suspense, passion and intrigue is well written and certainly enough to hold reader interest.

I thought the characters were well crafted, with enough spark to be likable and seem real, without their unique characteristics being overdone.

All in all, I think Kally was particularly good at providing an alpha male who was extremely sensitive to Alex's needs and caring, but absolutely held onto his masculinity without it becoming toxic. A fabulously engaging and attractive hero. One of my favorite characters was also Luci, the dog. What a love!

I loved the suspense aspect of the book, the danger and darker elements kept me intrigued. After such a build up to the main plot of the book, the fact Nick was hiding something important from Alex, though, I did feel could have been explored a little further.

This is a great book if you enjoy romantic suspense with a strong MC romance setting.

Great storyline, but was a little short for my liking. I would have liked more details and more of a back story if I’m honest. Great for a short read!

I very much enjoyed Taking the Fall by Kally Ash.
There was sweet romance with sparks and great chemistry.
There were secrets, danger and a bit of suspense.
The story was steamy, funny, intense and emotional.
I liked the characters, the story and the writing. And at the end it was a good contemporary romance that lets you escape reality for a few hours, so exactly what I needed - 4.25 stars.
