Next time, she wouldn't stand clear of the closing doors. She would run through them ... to a whole new destiny.

LANIE: Chasing dreams only works if you forbid others from caging your spirit. Between my super-clingy boyfriend, Quinn, claiming he’d die without me and a micromanaging boss with a god complex, my spirit wilted. Owning my power meant shedding the safety nets I clung to after a brutal incident left me frightened to take risks.

Now, nobody expects a life-altering experience on a subway commute, but the delicious stranger flashing me a heart-stopping smile woke my desire for a bigger life. Was he Fate’s gift? A serial killer? Oddly, I didn’t care, and the silent connection between us made me do something very un-Lanie: I smiled back, forgetting Quinn’s possessive hand on my thigh.

I didn’t realize my smile would change three people’s lives forever.

ZANE: Her eyes slayed me: heavenly blue and mesmerizing despite a gut-stirring sadness. I had been many people in twenty-three years: child thug, teenage rescue, good son, sound studio prodigy, and now, ‘daddy’ to my nine-year-old sister. But a guy who stares at someone’s girl? Hell, no. Yet there I was, unable to look away, certain I could make her happier in life and between the sheets than the guy beside her.

The fantasy should have ended with my commute; my exhausting life didn’t allow for more. But Fate kept throwing us together, opening my eyes to possibilities and giving Lanie the courage to let go of Quinn.

Unfortunately, Quinn wasn’t ready to let go of her….

This is the first book I've read from Danica and all I can say is it left me with ALL THE DAMN FEELS!!! I definitely needed to think on this one because I had so many emotions running through me after reading.

From the very first chapter I was immersed in the story and with each chapter there after my mind was monopolized by the intrigue, suspense and chemistry that I didn't realize it had come to an end. The attraction and pull between these two characters was intense and seducing that you can't stop devouring their story.

This was one incredible story that took you on a beautiful journey of strength, encouragement and love that will definitely melt your heart!

I hate to say this, but I struggled a lot with this book. I just could not get into it and I would have finished it few days ago but each chapter was like pulling teeth. I realise that is quite the drastic visual but I just gotta be honest. This one was not for me and I almost DNFed this book at 33% but I never DNFed a book before so I really didn't want to start now.

There are some aspects of this books that I liked. I really enjoyed Zane and his baby sister Tia's relationship, especially their bed time routine. As the sole care for Tia, he had to act as both her brother and father and he struggled a lot with balancing these two roles. But his love for Tia showed in everything he did and every decision he makes is with her in mind.

Another thing I really liked was the video messages Tia and Zane's father has left for them before he passed away. There seemed to be answer for everything in those videos. I loved how his legacy lived on even after he passed and how he even left a message for the girl that Zane falls in love with. I thought that was super cute.

I hate talking negatively about a book, so I will keep this short. While I love my romance as much as the next girl, I can't help but think that the romance in this book was so over the top. Lanie and Zane meet, fall in love and have sex, while Lanie also breaks up with her current boyfriend, all in space of what seemed like couple of hours. While not my favourite, I don't mind the insta-love trope, but it really grated on my nerves here. Not to mention both of the characters were always questioning everything, often being really whiny and melodramatic. And yes, the book is written in dual POV which means double the torture. I felt like for the majority of the book the story was not moving forward, instead it was stuck on constant loop, the same issues taking the center stage. It eventually just got too much and I wanted to shout at the two characters to get their shit together.

I enjoyed the bit of drama in the end. It was definitely the highlight of the book.

A lot of people might enjoy this book, and going by the reviews, a lot of people have enjoyed it, but you know what they say, "different strokes for different folks". Moving on to the next one!

Next Stop: You is the first book that I've read by Danica Raimz, and it definitely won't be the last. This is a heartfelt, and sometimes emotional, single "dad" romance that also deals with heavier issues of mental illness, loss, grief, and the road to self-discovery.

Lanie and Zane's relationship is practically love-at-first-sight, but it's much too complicated to be that simple. Lanie is trying to find a way to get out of a long-term relationship with a man that she's not in love with, while Zane doesn't have time for a relationship due to the responsibility of being a dad to his younger sister. Can they really fight their desire to be together? Don't they both deserve a chance at their own happiness?

To further complicate things, Lanie's boyfriend Quinn isn't ready to let go of her. I don't want to give any spoilers, but I will say that there is one particular scene is this book that was so well-written that it just broke my heart. It wasn't too over-the-top or unrealistic. I could literally feel the fear, the anguish, and the desperation of each and every character in the room. I could especially imagine what it would feel like to be Lanie in that moment. For me, that one scene took this book to a whole new level.

I loved the chemistry between Lanie and Zane, although I really did like almost all of the characters in this story. Although Quinn is the "villian" of this story, my heart broke for him too. I would almost like to see an extended epilogue that just gives a brief glimpse into his future in the hopes that he someday found his own HEA.

Very well-written story with plenty of happy, flirty moments and a little bit of angst. 4-stars!

Lainey and Zane’s story is a ride full of emotion, heat, and heart. It is written in first person from a dual POV.
This is my first book by this author, and I was impressed. The writing is quite good. The plot moves at a good pace and the characters were well-developed. I felt like I really got to know both Lainey and Zane. I was able to understand their fears, their baggage, and the deep emotions they felt toward each other. I loved their instant connection to each other. They have that feeling of knowing each other before they really do and are drawn inexplicably to be closer. I love the way that fate throws them together and the comfort they immediately feel with each other. At first, I was afraid this was a love triangle, but it is not. Lainey starts the book afraid to make some decisions to better her life, but she grows as the story progresses and really begins to take ownership of her decisions. Zane is working his tail off trying to meet all his responsibilities and has given up on having some of his dreams. I loved how they helped each other move forward. They have many obstacles to overcome, but their deep feelings for each other and quality communication help them get through the challenges they face. Their HEA is sweet and I love the support their friends show them along the way. This was an excellent, emotional read of two characters who are meant to be together.

This is the first book I have read by this author but it certainly won’t be the last and after reading this romantic suspense I’m left wondering why she hasn’t crossed my radar before now.
Lanie spots Zane on a train, there eyes meet, and it feels like love at first sight but first she needs to walk away from Quinn the boyfriend who clings to her every move. One moment is about to change three people lives and fate seems determined to have Lanie and Zane bumping into each other....
Zane is a single dad looking after his nine year old sister and that means he needs to be wary of who he lets into his life but fate works in mysterious ways and it soon becomes clear this couple are soul mates and are meant to be a couple but first Laine needs to make sure Quinn can cope with her walking away and starting a fresh with someone new.....
This is an emotional read that touched me on so many levels, I fell hard and fast for Zane and I sympathised with Quinn, it’s a journey that deals with love, loss and grief and it’s beautifully written and I can’t wait to read more from this very talented author.

Next Stop: You is a heartwarming tale of love and responsibility. Zane has taken on the responsibility for raising his 9 year old sister after the death of their father. Laine has been in a dysfunctional relationship for three years. All it took was a smile between strangers on the subway to start what would become a love story that will melt your heart. This story made me laugh, cry, sigh and left me with a smile.

Danica Raimz did it again. With relatable, memorable characters, she made me cry and laugh. Lanie is stuck in a three year boring relationship going nowhere. Zane is stuck in a routine he wouldn't have chosen for himself - working and coming home every night to be both brother and father to his nine-year-old sister Tia, who is struggling with ADHD. One sweet moment on the F train changes both of their lives forever. A great standalone contemporary romance you'll love.

A Smile Changed Both There Lives Forever.

Lanie is in a bad relationship. She hates her job she needs changes in her life.

Kiss me now, please. You’re hotter than any celebrity I’ve ever drooled over.”

Zane doesn’t have time for a relationship. His little sister is his priority.

“Lanie, no matter what state you’re in, you are the most beautiful person I have ever met.”

This is a beautiful sweet emotional love story.

Risk the whole thing being flat out stupid? We don’t know. Have an adventure with me, Sprinkles.”

I did feel sorry for Quinn and I do hope he gets his own HEA.

description

Lanie works at a social media agency and is trying her best to get through life and work. Lanie Vogel wants to change up her life. She has meant to end things with her boyfriend, Quinn, for a long time. Lanie feels that she has grown up and that she and Quinn have drifted apart. Too bad Quinn is a clingy boyfriend, who somehow drives her into an emotional wreck when she starts to breach a break-up and becomes obsessed with her. She feels scared of what would happen after she pushes through the break-up since Quinn confessed that he only lives for her.
Quinn played a huge role in the stagnant, dull life I longed to leave behind."
-- Laney, Next Stop : You

Zane Sideris is a single father of a nine-year-old daughter, who works as a tech engineer at a recording studio. He's given up a lot of his young life to ensure that his daughter, Tia, is loved and cared for. He did not get a say on this decision, but he vowed that he would be the best father for Tia. He is overwhelmed with balancing being a father to Tia and working to move up his position. Serendipity happens in a subway car. He bumps into Lanie at a subway train and finds a connection that is unclear to both of them...is the one that will save them and get them to "their forever".
And then I realized the only way to get train Girl out of my head was to end the mystery. Two could play that game. Only I didn't plan on running. There had to be something awful about her I could find out quickly. Only then would I forget her.
-- Zane, Next Stop : You

This book is told in the first person POV for both Zane and Lanie. It was clear with a good transition. I love the random conversations going through each of their heads, and there was a lot of humor infused into it. I love seeing both characters let loose with each other as they have their "freedom date" happen.

When Zane and Lanie did "take matters in their own hands", they somehow find out how they might be the right persons for each other. For Lanie, someone who would make her happy again, while for Zane, finding someone who can make him see the beauty of having a more profound relationship outside of the family life placed unto him.

Did it feel too quick, or this one of those "insta-love moments"? Yes and no. Yes, because the chemistry was electric upon first sight, but no, both characters did not act on it, right there and then. They had a few hours to consider the 'ridiculousness' of what they are feeling, negating to a point but later doing some stalking that led to a determined meet-up at the subway car. What they got by "taking action" is the time the story got interesting.

When Lanie and Zane's decided to enter into an experimental relationship (no cheating involved), the story gets really engrossing. On the one hand, you have Zane and Lanie's concupiscence spilling out of the pages while the other, extreme co-dependent "red flags" from a relentless ex-boyfriend.

Lanie and Zane are a perfect pair. Although they have an insatiable appetite for each other, they seem to still be "individuals" relationship. They are protective of one another and have a more mature relationship versus Lanie's passionless and stagnant three-year relationship with Quinn. They are the perfect match for each other - they are willing to work on what they have, given the other person's limitation at the moment. It is a sweet thing to see as they battle stuff in their head versus their heart.
We are two separate people who come together as a third person - the person we show the world when we are together. The person who shows what true, selfless love can do. We won’t lose ourselves in each other. We’ll find strength in each other.
-- Lanie, Next Stop : You

The book discusses Quinn's "emotional blackmail" unto Lanie - manipulating her to stay with him when he sees doubt in Lanie, which is wrong in all accounts. Although, if readers dive more in-depth, the root of how Lanie sees her self-worth stems from Lanie's traumatic background that makes her succumb to accepting the situation - that she owes Quinn for being her 'safety net'. She may look fine on the outside, but inside is a different story.
Let yourself be who you want to be without others setting limits on you.
-- Zane, Next Stop : You

Lanie's background was wrought with so much bad luck on boys/men. She's been through so much, which explains why she stuck with "good guys" like Quinn versus finding her own happiness. She would rather keep herself in a "trapped relationship" versus finding "right" for her. Zane breaches the topic of seeking help and counseling for Lanie because her life decisions seem to be based on her life choices. It is good to note that the author discusses a bit about the benefits of counseling and positive people around to empower her to seek what she wants in life.
My initial thought of Lanie's reaction was odd, but this is later explained based on her past. I believe I would do the same, given some of the scenarios were pretty extreme.

I love the comic relief of the supporting characters. They really make the story worthwhile as Lanie and Zane sorts things out.

Edie is Lanie's boss and the owner of Edie Ellen Agency, a social media company. She is a challenging and uptight boss who can really dole out the orders but provides some funny scenes like asking Lanie's admirer to swap out her flowers with something that can go well with her office ambiance. That "jaded comment" threw me off the kilter!

Dr. Lydia, the therapist, is excellent! She was another person who guided Zane to manage Tia and his sanity. This story talks about young adults becoming adults with the proper support system. With all the information, Zane provided better care for himself and Tia without sacrificing his relationship outside of the home.

I feel for Tia. She might just be nine years old, but she has endured quite a few upsets in her life - a lot of losses. She is at the forefront of Zane's life. She was brought up well by Zane, and even if he had to do it all alone, Tia had the support of others like Alexa, a family friend. The latter helped Zane with a very complicated bedtime routine to ensure she copes with the unfortunate family tragedy. I am happy to see that although it took a village to raise her, she still knows when she's out of line.

Alexia is a godsend! She is a single mother with two kids and would take on Tia once a week to give Zane time for himself. Alexia would talk sense to Zane about his life and how he was handling Tia. She is his other soundboard when Zane's father passed away.

There are some violent scenes in the later chapters. I can understand why the author wrote this part as a necessary evil to have "closure" on some of the characters. The book had so much suspense, wherein I stayed up to finish the chapters before letting the book rest and absorb the events.

I highly recommend this book. It had grit and honesty written all over it. Many 'tough decisions' by both main characters made them even more believable, more real. They have made bad decisions, but they learn from them and try their best to make it right. That's got to count for something since the ending was good...perfect for them!
"We've got this," I said. "We'll push through it all and come out the other side."

Oh goodness where do I start with how much this book touched me.

Do you believe in love at first sight? I totally believe in that! Whether you experience it yourself or read about it, it’s definitely real.

From the moment they had their first encounter, you could only hope that something more would blossom from it!

Laine was sweet, caring, and she often thought something was wrong with her because of the type of guys she attracts. Unhappy in her current relationship, she thought she would be stuck in forever but meeting a stranger proved to be the bevy of something more...HOPE!

Zane! Zane was sexy, and charming, but he lead a difficult life that had no room for new friends. Imagine when he met Laine and even he had yo question his way of thinking and going about life.

This book had me pulled in from their very first encounter and I was absolutely hooked. Filled with love, lies, heartache and more this book was amazing!

Also, I LOVED the nickname he came up for her! It’s not original and it fits so perfectly with the story! I definitely NOT telling you what it is, so you will just have to read the book to find out what it is!

Awesome awesome awesome book♥️

This was my first Danica Raimz book and I was incredibly impressed. The character development, chemistry, and plot line were only a few of the truly remarkable parts of this story. And add love at first sight to the mix? Yes please!!

Zane first meets our heroine, Lanie, on a subway with her insufferable boyfriend, Quinn, sitting next to her. Zane can’t stop looking at Lanie, her smile, her eyes, everything. He’s completely transfixed by her and she by him. All of this first chapter is from Lanie’s POV, so we don’t really get any insight into Zane’s head until after the fact. Neither one of them can stop thinking about the other. It’s truly love at first sight. With a bit of accidentally stalking on both their parts, these two end up running into each other again and spending a night together. They have drinks and food at a bar and unload their life stories onto each other. Ladies and Gentlemen, that was probably the most well-written, intriguing fifty page scene that I’ve ever read. It was LONG. I’m not exaggerating. But, it kept me interested the entire time and it delved deep into both Lanie and Zane’s intense emotional connection. Sparks fly like crazy between these two, there’s no questioning that. So, it is important to note that, at this time in the story, Lanie does cheat on her boyfriend Quinn. She kisses Zane before she breaks up with Quinn and that left me a little on the sour side. I’m really not a fan of cheating, but after their night together the cheating is all but forgotten. I’m not kidding when I say that these two are like two peas in a pod. This book is labeled as a single dad romance, and I suppose Zane is, but it’s a little more complicated than that. Zane’s father died, leaving him custody of his little sister Tia. Lanie is the most understanding when it comes to Zane needing to put Tia first in his life. Zane is understanding when it comes to Lanie needing to be free of the confines of a toxic relationship. These two are perfect together.

It’s also important to note the mental health awareness undertones that this story takes on. Lanie suffers from PTSD and anxiety from being assaulted when she was younger. It’s an on-going issue throughout this book and it plays a huge role in the way that Zane treats her and helps her stand up and take care of herself. Then there’s Quinn. I can’t even begin to explain all of my emotions surrounding Quinn. He has some severe issues, not only attachment issues, but deeper mental health struggles. We find out about these struggles late in the novel, and I don’t want to give anything away, but it’s shocking. I was expecting something to happen, but nothing like what we actually experience. I was sobbing in my bed while reading. It’s heartbreaking to watch Quinn falling apart. But true to form, Lanie is able to forgive him and move on with her life when it comes down to it. Lanie is the most kind and genuine human and I love her so much. Definitely one of my favorite female characters to-date. Wonderful piece! I can’t wait to see what else Raimz has in store! 4 stars!

The guy got me perfectly. He wasn’t simply someone I fell for at first sight; he was the very definition of a best friend.

Coincidence, right place-right time or a trick of fate….who really knows! But when your eyes find that one person who makes your heart jump and send your mind into overdrive...well don’t let them go because they could be your one true love…

“No, she just...there was something about her is all. Something that made me...smile uncontrollably.”

Meeting one faithful morning on the subway train, Zane Sideris & Lanie Vogel’s eyes find one another's and the sparks start to fly. I would like to say and the rest is history bla bla...BUT that would be completely wrong!

Zane is coping day by day raising his younger sister and trying to deal with work doing something that he loves...yet knows his future could be limited. But none of that matters to Zane as long as his sister Tia is happy and if she could just have a day without his arse being hauled into the principal office then...win win right?

“We are not anything close to broken. We’re just a smaller, different shape family.”

Zane can hardly understand the feelings that come rushing forward when he sees this mystery woman on the train- Who, without him knowing she is as trapped as he is.

After soo long can Zane find a balance and find himself again?

To allow him a moment to stop and fall for Lanie or will life prove to be too complicated to commit?

Well, surprise over smiling back at him had to play a factor, because impulsive grins were not me. Impulsive anything was not me.

Captured by a stranger's eyes, unable to look away and taking note of every detail about him add in not wanting to blink in case he disappears...all while your boyfriend has his hand on you?

Yep, Lanie’s life is about to go from stagnant and unfulfilling to blowing caution to the wind and taking control of her own life again with no regrets.

“What do we call this? Chemistry? Kismet?”

“Torture disguised as a beautiful woman who makes me feel-dare I say it, happy.”

After cutting the noose from her neck Lanie is able to breathe and fall head over heels for Zane.

But her past it seems...is unwilling to let her go…

I couldn’t have stopped our kiss if my life depended on it.

Zane & Lanie…<3 Ahh Yes! Loved reading about Zane & Lanie. From the start you can see the flickers come to life and your compelled to see how this relationship will go. They bounce off one another, open their hearts out and bring each other to life.

A very enjoyable read, a passionate couple, funny antics, wholesome and along with some page gripping and you are saying “just one more chapter.”

“If I’m ever in danger of wreaking us, you’ve got to let me know right away.”

Wow! This book has it all. Sex, suspense, romance. I couldn't put it down. Lanie is on a subway sitting with a boyfriend it's clear she should have broken up with a long time ago, but she hasn't had the courage to do it. When she notices the insanely hot stranger staring at her across the train, her mind takes her on a series of "what if's." What if she had the courage to break up with Quinn? What if she had the courage to quit the job she hates? What if she had the courage to smile back at the handsome stranger? The last one seems the least scary, so she finds herself smiling in spite of herself.

Zane is equally taken with Lanie, but his life is complicated as well. He's recently been saddled with the sole responsibility of raising his little sister and hasn't quite figured out how to navigate that yet. When the subway reaches Zane's stop, they have an "If only ..." moment. Lucky for us, Fate puts them in each other's path again.

I like how real and relatable the subway scene, in particular, is. I think many of us have stayed in a relationship longer than we should for one reason or another and we've all had those "What if ..." moments. This book explores that. The chemistry between Lanie and Zane jumps off the pages. And if you enjoy hot sex scenes, this is the book for you. For those that aren't a fan of cheating, don't worry. Zane is the catalyst Lanie needs to find the courage to break up with Quinn and she does so before anything really happens between h and H. But Quinn isn't as willing to let go. His scenes provide some of the most jaw-dropping moments that had my heart pounding and made me reading faster.

The characters are fleshed out and three dimensional and, as I've found with all of Danica Raimz's books, the story is so well-written that several times it felt like the scene was playing out in front of me. I loved this book and have already read it twice. I received it as an ARC. All opinions are honest and my own.

Next Stop: You is the new book by Danica Raimz. This was a new author to me, and whilst single dad tropes is not something i usually read, i enjoyed this book very much!
What can only be characterised as kismet, Lanie and Zane meet and immediately fall for each other from the first glance. And even if Lanie has a boyfriend at the time, and Zane has his little sister under his care, they cannot fight their feelings and growing attraction towards each other, trying to get glimpses of one another as much as possible. Soon, Lanie breaks her relationship to Quinn off, and they decide, against all odds, to give their growing lust and love a try!
This couple has had its fair share of ups and downs until they reached their HEA. From Zane's little sister Tia, to Quinn's obsession with Lanie, their road to happiness was bumpy!
Even though there were some things that threw me off with the story, overall i quite enjoyed it! I felt really sorry for Quinn even though he is the villain in the story. His problems, albeit VERY troubling and scary, unfortunately were not under his control. Yet, he did annoy me a lot with how clingy he was and how he tried to keep Lanie close to him!
Lanie and Zane were AMAZING together! Even though i believe in lust at first sight instead of love at first sight, this couple was surely IN LOVE at first sight! They were so amazing together, their sex encounters were hot, hot, hot, and i love how Zane was there for Lanie, just as Lanie was super understanding of Zane's responsibilities and priorities! A good single dad is always super sexy, and Zane definitely lived up to that! He was amazing with Tia, and how he would always put her first even when at times he had to leave behind his own dreams and hopes.
This is a story of finding out who you want to be, and this is a story about trying to get your HEA even if the odds are against you!

Danica is a new to me author, I knew nothing going into this story other than it was a single dads romance with a twist, so reading it I didn’t realise how easily lost into the story I was, which was a pleasant surprise. It wasn’t until I reached the end that I realised I devoured the story in one sitting and now I’m kinda adrift.
.
I really enjoyed this book. The writing is good and simplistic which made it really easy to read. The details are vivid and paint the picture really well which is easy to get lost in. The characters were developed well and and had steady progress throughout the book. I absolutely loved their journey. A bit easy on the drama for me but that’s because I’m used to reading the dark and heavy. So if your looking for a romance that is medium on the drama and tension then this is for you.
.
Loved the dual point of views. I also love the male POV more in these kinds of books. To me I find them more interesting and a lot less overthinking goes on. At least in my opinion. I also think because it’s easy to be in the FMC pov so getting a different perspective is always welcome. I have to say leaving this world I’m more curious about the author and where or if she plans on adding to this book making it a series or not. Either way I’ll definitely be checking out more of her work.
.
This book is about reclaiming your life and not being afraid to take risks. Not being afraid to push yourself even after something traumatic happens. Never give up living or going after your dreams. Such an amazing story and message from this book. I loved it.

I’m crying happy tears, haven’t read a beautiful story like this in a long time, usually I’m reading dark twisted macabre books and wanted a change for a bit and I found it with Next Stop: You

Don’t get me wrong it does have it’s drama, but it’s a more realistic kind of feel. The characters are marvelous, we have Lanie and Zane both young adults in their twenties with real life troubles where you see how in between mistakes, rights find their way.

I just felt like they could be real people, you know! Ones that I would love to know that have very interesting lives and jobs. I just loved their story it was very beautiful and sweet with a bit of psycho in the mix.

Zane has to be a father figure to his nine year old sister, Lanie doesn’t know hot to break from the life she has now and wants something else until she meets Zane and soon both want each other even if life gets in the way. Both have to figure things out for themselves and together, because having a relationship is not going to be so easy all the time but they can make it if they both put effort in.

This was a first time read of Danica Raimz for me and I was not disappointed at all, if you love sweet and lovable characters with sass you will love Next Stop: You, the plot was well thought out and with a good time line, it leaves you satisfied with the outcome with a bit of tears but they are happy so that is good.

So my final score is:
5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

NSY is a twist on a single dad romance, and a "what if" insta-love story.

Lanie and Zane meshed so well in this book and their chemistry was off the charts! I loved them from the get go, and watching them struggle to find out who they are and who they want to be, all while trying to find a way to be together, was an absolute joy!

Lanie knows what she wants, but standing up for herself and saying out loud what she wants, is the problem. Through this book you see her finally taking charge and going towards the kind of life she wants and meeting her goals.

Zane has control issues. Everything has to be a certain way (no not ocd) and nothing can interfere with the life he has. Because its not just him... he's a dad now. This mentality starts to mess with work, his love life (or lack of one) and also his health. Throughout this book he struggles with letting Lanie into his bubble and letting her be IN his life, not just a tiny part on the outside.
These two falling in love, growing as individuals and as a couple was beautiful. But not every love story is all sunshine and rainbows. This one shows you real struggles every new couple goes through, and doesn't gloss over the problem.
Danica did an amazing job bringing these characters to life and playing out their love story with the right amount of drama, love, heartbreak, and drool worthy moments!

Hands down, one of my favorite reads of 2020.

4.5 star Review of Next Stop:You by Danica Raimz

Danica Raimz is new author to me and I have no idea why I have not come across her before. I was intrigued when I read the blurb for this book and couldn’t wait to read it.

This was a book with romance, suspense and was also steamy. It is a story that will draw you in and keep you interested from the first to the last chapter. Lanie first sees Zane whilst on a train with her clingy boyfriend Quinn. She plays the what if game in her head, knowing in her heart that she and Quinn need to break up.

All it takes is one moment in time that can change a life forever. That’s what happens to Lanie and Zane. Fate, destiny call it what you will, but we all know that it works in mysterious ways. When Lanie and Zane continue to “cross” paths you get the feeling that these two are meant to be.

When Lanie finally breaks up with Quinn he doesn't want to let her go and it is his intensity that really had me on the edge of my seat at times. Can Quinn come to terms with the break up?

Zane is now a single dad, charged with looking after his nine year old sister. Can Zane and Lanie ignore the attraction that lies between them? Can these two find the happiness that they deserve?

Next Stop:You was well written, an emotional story at times, which deals with numerous issues such as loss and grief. It is a story that will get to you on numerous levels and will stay with you after you have read it.

This book touches on so many issues so many of us face today .. it has emotional, mental health, self discovery, single dad .. and while I loved this book and I did, parts of it were harder to absorb.. I have issues sometimes with the insta love .. I feel like it was so fast from the way they met to saying I love you, I just had to get past that ..but wait .. I kept reading and this book started picking up .. I am a bit dark and twisted so I need the drama .. it definitely has it too ..
I loved that Zane stepped up for Tia even though he was so young .. he grew up fast because of his crappy childhood and I admire him. He was the most selfless .. to the point it honestly didn’t make sense sometimes .. men ..

Laine, she irritated me at times .. like why don’t you just stand up for yourself and although she explains it later.. it felt like she needed to grow up a bit .. but she wasn’t honest with herself so I had to really put myself in her shoes a few times ..

Quinn and Tia , the wild cards in the book .. they added the elements that brought this book home for me,.. there are a few scenes that maybe pay attention to your trigger warnings ..

All and all I loved it .. a solid 4.5 stars for me .. I will definitely be reading more from this author..

This is my first book I read by Danica Raimz. I am so happy I got the chance to read it as that blurb sucked me in. Single dad, yes I am all over that!

But this isn’t your typical single dad book. Not going to give that anymore info cuz you need to read it to find out hehe.
I really enjoyed Lanie. She had me worried in certain spots of the book but I loved how she took back her life! She was strong and brave. After everything she has been through, she could have let that define her, and she almost did. All of that changed when she ran into Zane.

Zane, this poor guy. He has so much in his plate that he can’t possibly add anymore too it. So when he see a girl on the F train with dad eyes he can’t help but be drawn to her. He also had his moments when I was a little skeptical of him. But he definitely made up for that in the end.

I am giving this book 4 stars because I am not the biggest fan of insta loves, they have to be written just right for me to absolutely love them. NOT by any means am I saying this wasn’t written right, it just wasn’t what I normally like for my insta love romances. I think Danica wrote a beautiful and heartfelt love story that people need to read!

Next Stop You is one emotionally charged romance that you will not want to miss! From the very first page, I was drawn into Zane and Lainey's story. Their stolen glances at each other across a subway car and chance encounters begin a journey of fulfillment, love, and healing. This couple had a deeply moving connection that was beautiful to witness. This book was not your average single dad romance though. Both Zane and Lainey have their own obstacles to overcome. Zane is dealing with the responsibility of raising his sister who has ADHD all while maintaining his rising star as a music producer. Lainey is trying to end a 3 year long dead end relationship with a clingy and neurotic boyfriend while she is navigating her career in social media and marketing. These struggles add twists and turns that will keep you page turning to see what will happen next. This was my first read by author Danica Raimz and will certainly not be my last. I enjoyed every moment of Zane and Lainey's beautifully moving story and highly recommend reading it!

I received the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest feedback.

Personally, I prefer slow burn romance, but I really enjoyed reading this book.

The main character, Lanie is sweet, down to earth and stuck in a "safe" relationship with no future. However, a chance encounter with a drop dead gorgeous stranger while travelling on a train to work kick-starts a chain of events that lead Lanie on a journey to self liberation, true love and healing.
What can I say about Quinn? He appeared to be deeply troubled, insecure with potentially co-dependant and emotionally unstable personality. There was not much interaction with him apart from him obsessively texting and calling her, and then refusing to accept their break up.

Zane, on the hand, is gorgeous, hot reformed bad boy, who helps Lanie to grow and fulfill her dreams. They are amazing together and compliment each other really well.

This book was well written, fast paced, had many feels that made feel angry, upset and cry.
Highly recommended read!

Next Stop:You is an amazing story. Never having read a book by Danica before I wasn’t sure what to expect but I wasn’t disappointed! I loved her writing style! I have read some really great books this year and this one is to be added to that list. This story had me hooked from the beginning and completely drew me in. It was full of romance, humour, steam, angst, emotion and passion. This story also dealt with the effects of mental health issues. It definitely wasn’t your average single dad story; learning to deal with a grieving, angry girl as well as her having ADHD. I loved both Zane and Lanie equally, there was so much depth to both of them and the way they met was just the best way ever. There relationship was 🔥. It was such a beautiful love story with added twists along the way. I definitely needed tissues by the end too. A highly recommended book.

Next Stop: You is set in New York and about Lanie and Zane. Lanie has had a lot of bad experiences with past relationships and very suspicious when she meets Zane, who seems to good to be true. Zane had A LOT on his plate. He’s a single Dad to Tia and trying to stay competitive at work too. ⁣⁣⁣
But when they meet there is an instant connection and both want to do all they can to try and make it work.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
This book had some of the funniest one liners, I was literally lol’ing while reading this book. Danica did an amazing job really letting us into the characters heads and also tying the story up so well at the end. One of my biggest pet peeves is ambiguous endings and being left with questions. Danica literally dotted every i and crossed every t, and for that I am soooooo appreciative! ⁣⁣⁣
Last thing, this book is so much more than a romance which I wasn’t expecting, there were some really suspenseful parts that I really enjoyed. ⁣⁣⁣

Next Stop: You is as full of emotion as a crowded subway train. Lanie is at the crossroads of her life. She realizes that her boyfriend of several years doesn't quite fit into her life anymore and she struggles with how to move on. I really disliked Quinn (not surprising since he is a villian in this story). He was manipulative and abusive. For all my dislike of him I did like how the author portrayed his issues. This story is full of real life struggles and mental health issues. I also liked the author's writing style. "The contact felt natural like a lightning storm: fearsome but beautiful, and no mere human could control it." I thought it was beautifully written.

This was the first book that I read by Danica and it won't be the last. I really enjoyed this story. I really liked the fact that Lanie and Zane met in the "old school" way - on the train and not on a dating site or whatever.

Their story was very sweet, it was definitely love at first site and they both had so much in common. They both grew up in distinctional families, but that didn't stop them from fighting for what they want.

I really felt for Lanie as she didn't have good luck with guys and her relationship was draining her. Zane, on the other hand, he had to quickly grow up and become responsible, which also contributed to him doubting he can be the best thing for Lanie.

Overall, a very sweet story and I loved Tia!! She was such a character and so smart for her age.

Definitely recommend it.

Laine was stuck in her life with her boyfriend who she didn’t know how to leave and a job that she didn’t like.
On the commute, she meets a stranger’s eyes seeing him smiling at her, and she smiled like he had her under a spell and then he was gone.
Zane didn’t have time for relationships, but something about the girl on the train made him keep thinking about her, but he knew he only had room for one female in his life, who needs his complete attention. Still he can’t get the girl from the train from his mind, is there room for both of them if he can ever find her again.
Laine finally gets the courage to let her boyfriend know it’s not working but it doesn’t go well and he doesn’t want to let her go, but after the ‘what if’ moment she had on the train with the stranger that could make her smile she has to find a way to see if they can turn their complicated lives into something more.

When One Train. One Stranger. One Smile. Changes Everything!!!
Next Stop You is an equally heart aching, heartwarming, and suspenseful story that will have you completely enthralled and on the edge of your seat from the first page right up until the beautiful epilogue.
Lanie and Zane's journey to a HEA is riddled with heartbreak, romance, swoon-worthy moments, steamy scenes, lessons in self discovery, realistic life challenges, and scenes that will have your heart pounding and cause a strong desire to devour all the words as quick as possible to discover what happens next.
This captivating emotional story pulled at each of my heart strings. I cried, I laughed, I swooned, I gasped for breath, and I finished the story smiling with a warmed heart.
This is my first Danica Raimz story and will most definitely not be my last.
