Action packed, sexy, fun, engaging and emotional adventure filled with danger, suspense and undeniable passion... an edge of your seat read from beginning to end and so hard to put down. Really enjoyed the charters I got to know on this journey.

Kane may be the twelfth book in the Alpha Company Renegades series but Kali Hart is still giving the reader a fun and sexy story to get lost in for an hour.
Anthony Kane is part of Alpha Company Renegades and is getting ready to deploy to Afghanistan for a year in about a week. His best friend Ford, they met in boot camp fifteen years ago, has been transferred to the same base and into the same unit. A little over six months ago Kane was transferred to the base and part of getting sorted out meant a visit with the housing office where he met Audra. She is a housing officer who helps get the soldiers sorted out and was the one who met with him. When Kane laid eyes on Audra he knew he wanted her and that was it.
Audra works in the housing office on the Army base helping soldiers get settled. She has never been "one of those mushy, love-at-first-sight types" and instead thought a HEA was for the movies and books. But that changed in the biggest way when one day she looked up and saw the sexiest soldier strutting into the housing office and up to her desk. But her HEA was not to happen in the end.... or is it?
Things were going well between Kane and Audra as they dated for a few weeks. They never did take their relationship "all the way" but there were a lot of hot and heavy make-out sessions. There were also dinner dates, movie dates and a lot of talking. Even though Kane really wanted Audra he was determined to take things slow and romance her, showing her that she meant more to him than just a good time. After all he knew she was meant to be his forever. But that all changed in the blink of an eye six months ago when his ex-wife showed up and just as she kissed him Audra walked around the corner to see it. She left without a word and would not answer any of Kane's texts or calls and has avoided him since then.
Kane is helping Ford and after his appointment at the housing office he takes Ford to the gym on base. As they are getting sorted out Kane turns the corner and spots Audra. Smiles and waves are passed between them along with a few words but Audra is still not giving him the time of day. One thing that Kane knows though is that he is not going to deploy in a week without explaining what happened that night to Audra and giving it his best shot at getting her back.
This is a sweet, dramatic and sexy story right from the start. Kane and Audra are meant to be together and he is a man who goes after what he wants and this time it is her. He does stumble once and Audra needs a bit of space to work things out in her head, but if they both just listen to their hearts they will get their HEA, along with a whole lot of adult satisfaction before he deploys. I loved the epilogue to this story also......makes you smile the whole way through.

They are instantly attracted to one another and start to date, things get hot but Kane not wanting to rush her waits to have sex. He’s in love with her and doesn’t want to mess it up. But mess it up he does! He fails to mention his ex wife to Audra and when she comes over for a romantic evening sees the ex kissing Kane. Watching her parents marriage crumble has left her with trust issues and Kane’s omission proved to her he was just like all the other men. She leaves and doesn’t answer is calls or texts. Six months go by, she has been trying to put it all behind her, he has been pinning for her. With his next deployment days away he needs to confess his love and get her back. A chance run-in at the gym gives him the opening to explain and ask her to dinner. She reluctantly agrees. She has questions about the ex and makes Kane answer them all. She wonders if she’ll come back to cause more problems. His last statement wins her over.
“I told her I could never love her because I was completely and madly in love with you.”
They both confess their love and leave the restaurant and go to back to his house for sexy times. Things are going well until he asks her to marry him before he deploys. That is to similar to him and his ex’s scenario that it freaks her out and she leaves. After thinking about for a day she agrees to marry him. Epilogue five years later with kids and him retiring from the military.

This book is about Audra and (Anthony) Kane. Audra is NOT one of those love-at-first-sight or happily-ever-after women. Her father leaving her and her mother when she was just five years old, taught her that men cannot be relied upon. But… the problem is, she fell in love with Kane the moment she saw him! He’s the sexiest soldier she’d ever laid eyes on! But she got burned by him, and refuses to let that happen again.
And Kane knew from the very first moment he saw her that she was meant to be his. Their connection was immediate and undeniable. But it’s his ex-wife Danica that caused all the problems with Audra. However, it was a just a huge misunderstanding the he never got the chance to explain. And Audra is holding a grudge!
They both feel something deep for each other, and Audra finally accepts a dinner invitation after a huge bunch of gorgeous roses is delivered to her office. There is a concern for both of them though, as his next deployment is set to depart in just a few days’ time. They have an incredible night together, full of love and passion. It’s raw, hungry and beautiful. – just perfect.
I wish it hadn’t ended so quickly, but I’m hoping that the next book in the series gives us a sneak-peek into what they’re up to! I’m already looking forward to reading about Ford’s love story with Tara next!

This story starts out a little differently—with a breakup! Kane is in the military and is being deployed in a week. Audra works on base in housing. When Audra saw Kane she was head over heels in love with the man. Kane also was smitten by Audra and their relationship was progressing until Audra saw him kissing another woman. Audra didn’t give him an opportunity to explain and they are done. With only one week before Kane deploys, Kane is trying desperately to talk to Audra. Can they work this out? Will Audra give Kane another chance? Audra and Kane had instant attraction/instant chemistry and then they had to learn about each other’s hopes and dreams. They had chemistry, passion, and they had to work on forever. It is an enjoyable read.

Kane is fooled. He was fooled when he was married and divorced and didn’t tell Audra. They met six months ago and she found him being unbelievably lip locked with another woman. She avoided him for eh past six months. He has called, texted, sent flowers all but rain dances and sent smoke signals to her and she refused to listen. Now were are a week before his deployment. He is desperate. Time is ticking and he has to clear up and explain. Convincing her to listen is the first part. Kanye better work it out. Time is running out before he gets on the plane for the next year. Gripping and makes you mad to be happy there is no cliffhanger.

I liked this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable for the most part. The characters were interesting. Blair was a great friend to Audra. Audra and Kane (Anthony Kane) met at her work. They started dating but after a misunderstanding, they were separated for months. Just before Kane was going to deploy he decided that he was going to try to explain things to Audra again. I didn't understand why Kane waited so long to clear the air with Audra especially knowing that he would be deploying but I'm glad that he tried again. Audra had been hurt but she finally let Kane explain. Things take off from there and they end up with a wonderful happy ever after. I recommend reading this book.

Love at first sight. When Kane and Audra meet at Army housing office where she works it's love at first sight. It seemed as if everything was going great and Kane was fixing last minute details on a candle lit dinner when someone turns him around and kisses him. Then the biggest misunderstanding of his life is kissing him, his ex wife. While Audra sees the exchange it hurts her really bad and she takes off. For six months they both gave each other room until Kane sees Audra again at the gym and begs to talk to her. She reads the truth in his eyes. This is a fast but heartbreaking story of how not being willing to listen can cause a lot of wasted time.
Audra thought Kane was the one, until she saw him kissing his ex. Now 6 months later she is still not willing to listen to him and he is about to go out on deployment. First things first; I really like the cover of this book!
Kane is the twelfth book in the ‘’alpha company renegades’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Kane and Audra had something going until his ex returned and ruined it. Six months later and Kane is desperate for Audra to give him another chance but will she?
The chemistry between Kane and Audra is clear to see and I liked them together.

Audra and Kane meet on base where she helps soldiers find housing. Romance building quickly and deeply, it all changes when his ex-wife shows up and surprises him as Audra comes around the corner. Tension caused by miscommunication and not talking it out. The characters are terrific and fierce in their ideals and strength. Kane knows how to break down some walls and their intense feelings for each arise. Their friends definitely give the best advice. The ending is worth the wait. Very quick read, but the story has sooooo much great emotion. Can not wait to read more books by this author.

Once again we are in Alpha comapny and we have met Kane and Audra in previous books she works in the housing department of the army and when she was working with Kane on his housing she fell for him big time but when she saw him kissing another woman that was a big red flag for her and she walked away What Kane never got a chance to tell her was that he was married and divorced and it is his ex wife that is causing all the problems Now with him about to post overseas he has no intention of letting the stale mate between him and the woman he loves continuing and he will do whatever it takes to get Audra to listen to him

Kali Hart is fast becoming a must read author for me and this book is no exception. She has a way of drawing you into her stories and her characters are so delightful that you can't help cheer for their happily ever after. Kane and Audra's story is one where what you see isn't always what you think and that communication is the key. This book has everything that you could want; comedy, drama and of course hot romance. Don't miss this addition to the Alpha Company Renegrades series and this gem of a book!

Second Chance for Love/Lessons Learned
I liked the story. Audra and Kane gets their second chance. A lot of their issues could have been cleared up within that 6 month break instead of a week before Kane's deployment. I saw myself in Audra...unwillingly to bend...only seeing black/white...not the grey area. I guess lessons learned...communication is KEY to a happy and healthy relationship.

An entertaining fast pace book 12 and second chance romance in the Alpha Company Renegades series! It is well-developed, well written, emotionally deep, engaging, and steamy with drama and a misunderstanding. The characters are likeable and relatable; their chemistry is off the charts! Love is a funny thing. You are wrapped up in it before you know it. You have a few highs and lows and hopefully the ups outweigh the downs. Learning to forgive is imperative in any relationship. Little things to big ones. Audra has a big decision whether or not to trust Kane. She doesn’t want to be foolish yet not possibly missing out on the best thing to ever happen to her.

4.5 stars, an excellent book in an amazing series. Kane is divorced and Audra doesn’t believe in love at first sight then she meets Kane. But a miss understanding leads to Audra ignoring Kane for six months. Can they work it out? Kali Hart has a way of drawing you in and interested and intrigued till the very end.

Both of them have been miserable for the last six months until order is convinced to give him another chance to explain. Kane explains to her that his ex-wife surprised him and he thought that it was Audra who crept up behind him. They decided to give it another go and they get married and live happily ever after.

This was a nice read in between.

This was such a cute story! Kane and Audra had quite the chemistry. And it was so heartbreaking to hear of what happened between them and how much time was lost. However, the story line flowed well considering this was a quick novel and it was a very enjoyable read.

So glad Audra’s story was done. Interesting storyline in how it starts, like how Kane admits his mistake. Great in giving second chances especially with the pressure of his imminent departure. Lovely ending for this couple who worked through their misunderstandings.

Kane and Audra have wonderful chemistry and their romance is sweet yet steamy. Some drama ended their romance before but Kane decides that he is not going to lose Audra permanently. He is sweet and romantic, sweeping her off of her feet to a beautiful HEA.

I like the way Kane knows up front what he wants, what he believes to be his forever. I love his heart. I like the way Audra protects herself and does not let anyone walk over her. The writing is good and easy to read. The story is sweet and steady.

I remember and Audra and Kane from Blaire’s story and was so happy to see them get their story. This is short but sweet with some angst in between but not so much to overpower the story. I practically devoured it.
