This book is broken into three sections, exploring the process of building a life of choice as opposed to chance and of consciously creating a self where the external image matches the internal ideal. This book is a love letter to life not wished away, to breaking patterns, to re-making our selves and our world. This book is a hand extended, to you.
What a wonderful collection of poems. Hillary led me through beautiful wordscapes, from the land's grains of sand, to the galaxies. These poems express the dreaminess of the desire for, and pleasure of having, freedom. They also illustrate the pain resulting in the lack of it. The voice of these poems is full of passion, and potent verse. It is political, and ethereal. As the title suggests, this book explores a metamorphosis of the speaker via imagery that depicts a movement, a series of movements, whereby they convey their oneness with the universe. Great read.
