Experiencing the Knowing is magical… until you have to deal with human in-laws…

Local news celebrity Sasha Dane and her mother are fixated on one goal—leverage their media presence to make life supremely difficult for the invading Preor. They want the aliens gone from Earth and for their unnatural hold on human females to end. Permanently. That’s how Sasha found herself at Preor Choosing Station Tau attending a Preor Choosing. Her job? Gather as much dirt as possible. If only that had gone according to plan…

Preor Healing Master Whelon never liked the human “cattle calls.” Where hordes of human females threw themselves at the attending Preor in hopes the Knowing would blossom. Nevertheless, he finds himself drawn to Choosing, pulled by an inexplicable force to attend. And that’s when it happened…

The Knowing. Desire. Want. Need. Hope…

Now, both Sasha and Whelon realize fate has a cruel streak. Sasha must contend with the differences between what she thought to be true—the Preor are an evil, women-stealing, vicious peoples—and reality… That the Preor cherish and love their mates and care for all human beings. Meanwhile, Whelon must realize that his fated mate has obstacles only she can fight.

Will Sasha overcome her mother’s teachings and embrace her Preor mate? Or will she deny the Knowing—deny Whelon—and curse them both to death?

Disappointing heroine.
Seeing a new Preor book I grabbed it but reading the blurb for this book, I actually debated whether to read it, knowing I would not like the heroine. The series has suffered since being co-written with another author.
I detest controlling mothers and weak willed, doormat heroines as plot lines.
I don’t think I have ever HATED a heroine more than Sasha and don’t get me started on her loathsome mother.
If not for the fact I love this series I would not have read it at all.
Sasha is some sort of reporter/tv star personality.
She starts off as basically having no backbone, her life is orchestrated and controlled to her mothers wishes and she is brainwashed to her mother’s views.
Sasha seems to hate the Preor, without any real reason, to the point of attending a Choosing ceremony under false pretences, trying to prove the Preor use mind control and are rapists.
We are supposed to empathise with Sasha due to the emotional abuse Sasha has suffered. Cannot do it. She is a grown woman who continues to allow her mother to dominate and control her. I just couldn’t empathise with her at all, even at the end as she never stood up to her mother once.
Poor Whelon, I hated how he and his dragon suffered. He has no control over what happens to him, all due to the personal agenda of Sasha’s disgusting mother and Sasha’s weak reasoning not to be with him.
Ignoring my hatred of Sasha, the rest of the book and the actual time spent amongst the Preor and their mates was great.
Whelon has such a giving and caring heart.
Would rather Whelon have had a nicer mate and one who would be of benefit to him. A doctor would have been a good choice.
At least some good happens in this book and balance is worked towards in regards to the poor.
I read this to the end but this will never be a reread or one I will like.
I despair of the human race ever evolving enough to actually care about each other, instead of personal gain, let alone accept or acknowledge anyone more evolved than them.
What charges was the mother accused of? What happened to the mercenaries who held Sasha captive?
I was kindly offered this book for an honest review but read it through Kindle Unlimited.

I did not enjoy the previous book. That was disappointing for many reasons. This one, was better but compared to the earlier Dragons of Preor it was mediocre. I'm just wondering if she's done with it and kind of gave up on it. Its co-written as well and perhaps this should have been kept as a personal project. No offense to Anne Hale but she was brought in Vende's book and this one and at this point it was a mistake it seems. I'm not sure what happened or why she was brought in but its not working. I think this might have been the end for our dragons and perhaps its time.

Might contain a spoiler but not sure its really a spoiler but be warned!

Sasha has been abused for years...she just didnt know it until The Knowing hit her. She's been controlled and brainwashed by a horrid Mother. All Preor's are evil and destructive and force women to be mates. That's what she was taught and believed. Things turn when she finds her mate. She's reluctant and shocked to say the least but before she can even absorb that she is carted away by Mercs and almost dies from the Knowing Sickness. What opened her eyes to how much she got it wrong is her Mother thought it was perfectly okay that she died. She wanted the dragons to be seen as poisoners and she's willing to sacrifice her daughter. Not just once but twice. Whelon is a Healer and he's sweet and never thought he'd find a mate. He was okay with that until he was hit with it. He's a very understanding man and gives Sasha what she wants and needs even if it kills him. He wants to be supportive. They are sweet together but their circumstances arent perfect. Things are done differently because her job is news and its all out in the open and its messy. Some battles Sasha must fight on her own but it could be at the expense of not just her life but her mate.

I liked Sasha but not very much. She had a lot of TSTL moments. I thought to myself she's not that stupid right? Right?! Yup she totally is. So, not a favorite character. We see a lot of the mates from previous books so I think this might be a wrap up of the series. I didnt hate the book but didnt like it much either but I liked it better than Vende's.

I couldn't figure out right away why when I finished this book, I immediately started looking through my kindle for other Celia Kyle books, and I have quite a few, that I realized that it has been quite a while since I had had a book authored by Celia Kyle or Erin Tate and NOT co-authored.
What this actually means, I have no idea, other than I feel that the recent books being released have all been co-authored and therefore missing that spark and spunkiness that Celia's earlier work contained. The full bodied characters and plot lines. I miss them, I truly do.
This particular book had me skimming parts out of boredom and shaking my head at the pure stupidity of the main characters. Many scenarios within the book seemed forced in order to get from point A to point B, and definitely rushed. Many possibilities were lost within this story that could have brought it forward and within range of being a very good story with memorable characters.
I miss the strong female leads and their Alpha counterparts that brought forward the term "AWESOMESAUCE"!
I received and ARC of this book from the authors, but am freely providing this review.

Sasha and Whelon's story broke me. It was so sad. And I was so, so angry at Sasha for some of the things she did, and didn't do. But overall I still loved the story.

DNF at 7% PEOPLE !!! Yeah, this is bad. I’m calling it. I’m breaking up with this author/series. After so many great books, I just can’t anymore.

Sasha. Hate her. She’s weak. I’m sure at some point she’ll grow a backbone and her mamma will be the conflict, because yeah, predictable. Here’s the thing - I can not stand this type of weakness. She allows her mom full control of her life, even basically her political views and you know, now is not the time for that. She is such a victim of her own making. In fact, hate to say this, but Sasha actually comes off as really racist.

The writing. I miss true Celia Kyle. Let’s just say I threw in the towel after a scene with Sacha that is basically the same as that one with Rose and her mom and the dress in Titanic. Cue eye roll. Much like Whelon thinks to himself that the fleet has gone to shit, I feel like the same has happened to this series. I’m sure to some, this book is fine, hell for all I know it does get better, but it just annoyed me too much. The last book was the first sign of trouble, this one solidified it.

A mother’s hate

Another roaring success from these very talented authors. The Preor have come across some not so savory in laws before, but this one might just take the cake. I love that we got to see the transformation of the characters as they not just changed their own thinking, but that of public opinion. I enjoyed each of the characters, especially Penelope and her ever changing attitude. The way they all interact and have become a community is so endearing. The authors kept the emotions high in this book and the action is coming from all directions right until the very end. I hope this is not the end of the series because I can’t imagine not seeing what happens next in the world of the Preor.

A daughter, imprisoned by a manipulative mother, meets her mate ...

Written for mature readers only (18+ years old) due to subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language, a couple of intimate scenes and themes of violence.

This is the twelfth story in the Dragons of Preor series. I highly recommend this be read in series order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers as there are reoccurring characters and an overall storyline arc. It is not necessary to read the original Ujal series, but it would help advance the story universe.

The story universe is grown and expanded to a different part of Tampa, the headquarters of the Ujal and Preor. This story features Whelon, a Preor healing master, and Sasha, a local human celebrity influencer. There are a few grammatical issues, but less than previous stories.

Sasha has been manipulated her entire life by a money and fame hungry mother. The mother coerced Sasha into attending one of the choosing ceremonies so she can finally have proof that the Preor are poisoning and brainwashing the human females, and essentially “raping” them.

Whelon doesn’t know why his dragon half is so unsettled and he finds himself going to the choosing ceremony when he has never been before. He doesn’t expect to find his one and only mate there, but can’t make himself turn around. When he tries, his dragon doesn’t let him get more than a couple of steps from the door. As he returns to the large room, he tries to take in all of the scents to see if he can find out what is going on with his dragon. Then he finds himself weak, having trouble standing, and realizes that it is the Knowing.

Sasha attends the choosing ceremony, but it doesn’t go like her mother said it would. The Preor are courteous and respectful to the women. None are doing anything untoward or trying to force anyone to do anything. Then before she can leave to get some fresh air, the Knowing hits and before Sasha can make contact with her shaa kouvi, four men dressed in black grab her and force her to leave. What has her mother got planned this time and why does Sasha fear she might not survive?

Let me start off with I love Celia Kyle. I've read her for longer than I care to admit, and she is the Queen of snarky, sassy, slightly crazy woman that bring alphas to their knees with little effort. This is a long running series, incredibly detail, rich and vibrant. I cannot begin to comprehend the amount of imagination and work that has gone into creating a world similar to our own, but significantly different, 'cause, hey, Dragons and Mermen!!
All that being said, I'm so sad that I didn't really enjoy this particular story. This book really hit home the idea that what humans don't understand, they destroy. I almost couldn't read the portions with newscasters muckraking. I'm reminded too much of what is going on right now, and how intolerant and flat out ignorant people are. I'm trying to escape reality, not have it follow me into my fantasy worlds.
I adore Whelon. He is such a kind, loving, dedicated healer. His sense of duty is immense, and I absolutely hate the pain he endures. I didn't really care for his mate, Sasha. Her manipulative, selfish, emotionally abusive mother has her so twisted around she can't tell fiction from reality. I hate the way she treats Whelon, even though I understand she's trying to do what she feels is best, to not have relations between humans and the Preor break down completely. Because all that does is remind me that she helps create that divide in the first place. While ultimately she does up to her mother, it takes the entire book for her to do so. Sasha almost dies of Knowing sickness (taking Whelon with her) several times before she finally accepts that her mother is just flat out crazy and abusive to boot.
Penelope is hilarious, as always. But I miss the lighthearted books from the beginning of the series. And I seriously miss the Ujal!!

Sasha is an on-air personality who is being controlled by her ambitious mother. Sasha's big goal is to make a positive difference in the world but her mother keeps pushing in directions she doesn't want to go. Sasha has been pretty sheltered and has been brain-washed by her mother to believe that the Preor and Ujal are evil and manipulating humans. Her mother arranges for her to go undercover to a Preor Choosing even though Sasha is afraid of the Preor. Her worst nightmare comes true when she experiences the Knowing before her mother snatches her away.

Whelon is a Preor Healing Master who has given up on finding a mate since he finds the Choosings to be demeaning and a cattle call.He is down on Earth to help examine some pregnant human mates when he feels a pull to the Choosing that is happening. He is shock to find his mate and even more shocked to have her run from him. As he tries to chase after her he ends up in a slum neighborhood where he is horrified by the living conditions. Whelon immediately sets up a clinic to help the starving and sick humans.

Sasha is suffering from the Knowing sickness and being separated from Whelon. The little she did see of the Preor didn't match what her mother had taught her. As Sasha gets sicker, she is afraid her mother will let her die to prove the Preor are dangerous. When she is rescued, she is happy to be with Whelon again but her mother is determined to prove the Preor are evil. Will Whelon and Sasha ever be able to be together or will her mother keep them apart and destroy the Preor.
At first I didn't like Sasha. She seemed to easily manipulated and unable to stand up for herself. she annoyed me. She was also close minded. however the longer she was with Whelon, the more I liked her.

Whelan and Sasha

Sash has a light news show and people love her but she is dominated by her mother, Jenna. Her mother all but orders her to go to the Choosing and when she meets Whelan the Master Healer before they even touch the Knowing begins. They both start feeling the Knowing sickness not long after her mother's hired security take her from the Choosing. They find each other again and they taken a shuttle to the ship with her mother screaming at the news cameras that Sasha has been kidnapped. Jenna is on a crusade against the Preor saying that these women have been poisoned, brainwashed and are being taken against their will. When she travels back to Earth her mother takes her home after an interview Sasha gave that didn't make her mother happy. She locks her in, brings a doc when she is sick again and starts filming her sickness and impending death. Penelope hacks her phone and helps her escape to the roof to meet Whelon. Whelon warms her up with his dragons fire and wraps her in his arms and wings. She steps off the side of the building and he dives and catches her to the delight of the crowd of her followers that has amassed. When Whelan and Sasha reach the lobby many people are there and even more are trying to get in. The police and the Preor are trying to empty the lobby. Sasha sees Jenna trying to bash a Preor warrior with a camera stand and the police cuff her. As she is being led off she spews her hatred at Sasha and suspend her. Weeks later there is a mixer followed by dinner ending with the new treaty. Whelan is called by Dawn that one of the human mates there is in labor. They secure an office blankets and pillows and it's e rough delivery but mother and daughter are fine. A few weeks after the birth, the Preor give the population a fair in a nearby park. Everything and everyone is doing great.

This is an OK sci-fi alien romance, but it needed a bit more character development. I needed more backstory on both Whelon and Sasha, but especially on Sasha. It gets 3.5 stars from me, rounded down to 3 stars.

Whelon was likable, and I loved that he wanted to help humans so badly. He was horrified at the living conditions in the human poverty-stricken areas, and did everything he could do improve their lives.

I liked Sasha, but thought she should have stood up to her mother sooner. I get that she had suffered a lifetime of her mother's emotional abuse, and had learned to deal with it by just shutting down -- but she knew what her mother was doing was wrong, and didn't really try to stop her for a long time.

I would have liked an epilogue, several months (or even years) into their future -- one that addressed when they had children would have been great.

My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

Sasha Dane is a local news celebrity and her mother is fixated on hatred for the Prior and so is determined to use Sasha's fame to advance that agenda. Her mother thinks that the Knowing is a form of coercion and that their natural hold of human women needs to end. So Sasha went to Preor Choosing Station Tau in order to gather as much dirt as possible but that didn't go to plan because Preor Healing Master Whelon was drawn to one choosing session and that was when both Sasha and Weldon experienced the Knowing. Sasha has to deal with the difference between what her mother insisted was true and what she is now experiencing (which are completely different). They are not an evil and woman stealing race but instead, they cherish women and would love them completely. She also realises that they care for all human beings when she witnesses them trying to help people that they discover are not living the pleasant life they thought they were. Now Wheldon has to realise that Sasha has obstacles to clear in order to be with him that only she can conquer. Can Sasha overcome her mother's teachings and embrace her Prior mate or will she deny the mating and curse them both to a painful death?

I couldn't work out in my head how such an intelligent woman could believe the so-called facts that her mother was repeating. There were some really big parallels to the political situation in the US that I couldn't ignore. It was interesting to learn the effect of ignoring the Knowing and what would happen to both the Prior and the human. I loved the final conclusion although it was tortuous getting there. Contains a little sexual content at the end.

Sasha was a rising star in the news world. And she was ok with doing charity and our reach but her mother Jenna wasn’t. Jenna wanted to expose the Preor was evil dragons that have come and brainwashed the women. Her theories full of hatred and bigotry. Whelon had given up on the Knowing. Not ever Preor was meant to find his mate. He certainly wasn’t going to go the the Choosing Station and watch all the chaos. But something draws him to it. Sasha believed that her mother cared but the lies start unfurl and soon she was experiencing the Knowing. Her longing for Whelon is unreal but worse when they are ripped apart before they can even touch.

OMG, it was like a race against the clock to save these two. Sasha’s mother is a piece of work. That woman has nothing but hate in her. She uses her daughter like a pawn and has no love but coal where her heart is. Knowing Whelon and Sasha were suffering, I was heart sick. I was tearing up just reading how cruel her mother was. And Whelon learning of the fate of those in need, starving, broke me. So much was going on, riots, hate, labor, Knowing sickness. I was glued to the pages.

Sasha Dane is an influencer who found fame through her honesty when talking about any subject.  Unfortunately she has a very pushy and controlling mother who wants her view on things seen if they are true or not.  Our heroine is not sure if the Preor dragons are good or bad. Are they brainwashing all these women?

Healing master Whelon has his hands full with so many of the newly mated human females pregnant.  Their Preor dragon mates are diverted from their usual tasks and not much help.  He will soon find out just how much havoc a mate can cause in a dragon .

The Knowing that all dragons crave will not be denied once it strikes. Our characters will have desperate battles to face.

When humans get scared they tend to turn to violence,  war could easily break out.

This is an emotional but also fun story that is part of a series.  You would be best to read at least book one before any of the others to understand what is happening.  Once you've read that the others could be read alone.

Really good fun.

I really enjoyed this story! It was a lot of fun and I loved getting to go back into the world of the Preor. We have seen Whelon throughout majority of the books in the series as he is one of the healers. It was great getting to know him better and watching him figure some things out regarding what it felt like when you were actually mated and having issues. Sasha has a bit of a hard road in this book. She is controlled by her mother who is completely against the Preor and ready to do anything to get the scoop, including using and forcing her daughter. Sasha has to start figuring out what to actually believe rather than just listening to what her mother is spoon feeding her. I enjoyed watching these two get to know each other and figure things out. They had to worry about how the world was looking at them and seeing what was happening. It was not easy as they were dealing with the Knowing sickness and people that wanted to keep them apart in front of cameras. I was thoroughly entertained with this story and am looking forward to more in the series!

😭Another weak as water female protagonist

This is a first review for Celia and Anne in this series, this story is extremely complex and difficult to keep up with, although Penelope is out of this world, I think the plot in this story is beyond realistic even if it's just a story in itself. Over the top! But I managed to follow anyway, humanity with no compassion towards it's own, until aliens make it better. It says a lot about how we view ourselves even by these authors point of view.
I was turned off by how Sasha was made to be so weak and nowhere to go for help ,and how her mother turned out to be outrageously cold. I simply hated this bit. But of course and again the males are always the ones to win and have strong characters. Why is that I ask these authors? At the end this story turned out for the best, hence the four stars.
I will give it another try for the next book.

Here we have another story where someone from Earth who is "famous" is a fated mate to a Preor and has to help them bridge the gap between the two species coming together and merging as one. I wasn't impressed with this story and skimmed probably fifty percent of the characters' inner monologue struggles which were just that: inner self doubt. It didn't play into the plot because the characters ignored their doubts, found a happy medium and lived HEA.

*Spoilers*There's one scene where Sasha is being held captive by, you guessed it, an abusive parent and Whelon has to swoop in to save her. Not that this would be a weird scenario except through out the whole book he's able to tamper his "knowing" and be able to fully function away from Sasha yet in the hours she's kidnapped, he can no longer control it? It read as a sloppy, overdramatization, even for a paranormal romance.

This is another book in the Preor series I would not recommend.

I LOVE THE ENTIRE SERIES. I can't wait for the next book. I read these over and over because I enjoy them soooo much. Poor Whelon finds his mate and it seems that every thing and one is conspiring against him to have her. Whelon was not expecting to find a mate, much less for her to be snatched away within moments of meeting her. Sasha was raised by a crazy single mom, that is trying to launch Sasha as a celebrity. Her mom has been telling her how the preor kidnapping and brainwashing human women. Sasha is sent on an undercover mission to a preor meet and greet to learn the truth about and the preor and experiences the Knowing. She is shocked. How will she get back to her mate. What is her mother trying to accomplish? Must read to find out.

Sasha is a influencer turned TV personality.
Sasha has been manipulated by her mother all her life.
Sasha's mother controls every aspect of Sasha's life including her work.
Sasha makes negative and prejudiced statements about the Preor which divides her audience.
Ultimately, Sasha ends up at a Choosing ceremony to get a balanced report on the Preor.
Things don't go to plan when the Knowing hits and sasha finds herself drawn to healer Whelon.
Sasha's mother has her hooks so deeply embedded in sasha that jeopardizes her own life to please her mother whom is still exploiting Sasha for her own gain.
Which almost makes the Knowing null and void if she can place it aside to placate her mother's wishes.
Sad case.

So disappointed. I loved this series, but with this story? To be honest, I dropped it twice, and forced myself to keep reading to see if it improved. Waiting to see if the hideous female main character decided to grow a pair at some time and DO SOMETHING FOR HERSELF! But guess what? She didn´t. Always the weak, needy, dependent girl, the eternal damsel in distress waiting to be saved. One of the things I loved about this series was the fact that there were strong women, each one supportive and helpful, like Lily, Dawn (I sooo love her), except for this one. Was she really an influencer? Hard to believe when she had no ideas of her own, don´t you think? And the end is a freaking pic nic? Please Celia, what were you thinking?? I want to believe that it was the other author´s influence perhaps, in which case, I should ask you please, please, pleeeease! not to work together again.

Celia Kyle has been a must read author of mine for sometime now and this book only adds to that distinction. Ms. Kyle has a way of drawing her readers from her 1st page to the last with her fantastic storytelling and world building. Her characters are so delightful that you can't help cheer for their happily ever after. Whelon and Sasha's story is one of learning to live with not thinking that you would ever have a soul mate but finding out that once you do you have to work even harder for your happy ending. This story has everything that you could want; comedy, action, drama, conflict and of course hot romance. You will be sorry if you miss this series or this book, that may be the best in the series yet!

I was not disappointed.

I was excited to read healer Whelon’s story and I was not disappointed. A calm, kind and patient dragon who appeared a lot through the series, I was looking forward to him having his HEA.

I have read all the books in the series and I have to say, the latter ones have been my overall favourites. As the series has progressed, the authors have developed the story plots more deeply and this in turn has led to a more deeper connection with the characters in them. Whelon’s struggles for acceptance in particular, had me engrossed and I was unable to put this down; reading it in record time! Great, because I was able to soothe myself with the outcome but bad because now what do I read?

Hopefully this is not the last in the series; I would quite like to see Choler or Radoo’s stories next? Please??

This was a tough story for Whelon and Sasha, with her mom overshadowing everything, all in aid of bringing in more ratings. She's easy to dislike with great intensity ;) It also gave a fair bit of exposure to the anti Preor movement, which I did find interesting. But like a good reflection of real politics, there was a lot of misinformation and assumptions guiding their group. There's also a fair bit of emotions in this story, along with action and the ever wondering if these two will actually get their HEA. It's an engaging read and I loved seeing the 'old' characters and what they're up to now...along with Penelope's continuing growth. All good fun and I'm looking forward to seeing who gets matched next.

This story was different than the usual Preor stories, but over all I still think the story worked really well. This one was very in depth with what each was thinking on a level that made you think too. It was different to see the questions that could be raised about the Preor and their intentions. I liked the way Sasha thought things through very objectively. Whelon and Sasha’s Knowing sickness and how bad it got was something we have never seen before. As a nurse, I could definitely relate to being torn between doing what I want and what was best for others.
Overall I enjoyed this story, the way it made me consider another point of view and decisions that are made.
I would recommend this series to anyone.

Wow Sasha's mother is a piece of work. I wasn't sure at first if Sasha was going to be a real b**** with expressing hatred and distrust of the Preor, but you quickly realize that while she has suspicions about them and doesn't trust them, she isn't out to get them if they are truly what they seem. Her mother however doesn't care, she will use anything including her daughter to sow hatred and distrust of the Preor. Interesting story. You really feel bad for the way they treat the Preor, even though they are helping people.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A good addition to the series.

Whelon is the next victim and I say this because he is going to experience what human male does as he makes contact with his mother-in-law to be. But you take the bad for the good and Sasha was so worth it for him. You can see how Sasha tries to control the situation but without her mate near her she finds herself in such a predicament. I loved that Whelon was so patience and he proved that love concurs all with their deserving HEA. A sweet read with just the right amount of drama and heat level that made for an entertaining read.

Awesome book!!!

5 stars all the way for The Dragons of Preor. This is one of my favorite favorite series. I dread the day she says no more DOP. Always an intriguing storyline, the characters from all the previous books in the series making a strong appearance throughout every new book, tying it all together. Just the right amount of humor, drama, intrigue, love and sex. Celia Kyle is an amazing writer, as are the other co-authors of this series. So looking forward to her next book in this wonderful series!!!!!

So good

Sasha is a local celebrity. She is controlled by a hateful, uncaring parent. Sasha has known nothing but contempt and fear from her mother. Sheldon have up finding a mate. He helps the mates now. He is kind and loving and patient. Then the Knowing strikes. Sasha is confused, and frightened. Sheldon is thrilled. Sasha suffers under her mother's terrible care of her. Sheldon suffers as Sasha comes to terms with her new love. So glad Whelon and Sasha made it. Tough journey for them both. Is Choler next????

I have loved this series and it seems like each one gets better. Whelon is no exception. Whelon had more humanity than a lot of humans. Sasha had such great potential. She learned what behaviors where expected. It took her to a breaking point before she could really find herself. This dynamic between Whelon and Sasha gave a whole new perspective to the Preor and humans. I enjoyed the drama and the challenges that this story brought. I look forward to how Whelon and Sasha’s coupling changes the Preor and human relations in the future.

Loving and caring

I am glad I went back and read the book I somehow missed because Whelon is amazing. He is cares so.much about not only the Preor but also the humans, especially the children and the poor.
Sasha has to go through a lot to realize the kind of person her mother truly is and that there is someone out there that will truly love her and put her first.
I hope another edition is added to this series very soon! I have 2 choices that I would prefer but I will have to wait to see which Preor dragon is actually next.
