Nursing our grief and licking our wounds, my men and I need each other now more than ever. All I want to do is lose myself in the warmth and comfort of the mate bond, in the one part of my life that feels perfect.
But I can’t.
Cleo is prowling at the edges of my mind, testing for weaknesses in the barriers that hold her out. As long as the connection exists between us, no one is safe.
Not me. Not my mates. Not our packs.
I have no idea how to defeat someone as vicious and powerful as she is. But when the coven leader threatens everything I love, something cracks open inside me. The she-wolf in me howls with rage.
Some way…
Somehow…
The witch must die.
Alpha Queen is the final book in the Claimed by Wolves series, a paranormal reverse harem shifter romance. It contains cursing, violence, four growly alpha males, steamy sex, and a heroine who finds her strength in the midst of it all.
Callie Rose is a bestselling author who loves to write books that will grab you by the feels and not let go till the very last page. She loves twisty plots, tortured bad boys, strong FMCs, and redemption stories where that shit is *earned*.
As stated in my review of the previous book in this series, I really only read this book for closure rather than true enjoyment. All the plot points were highly predictable, and the men in the harem weren't very interesting or dynamic characters in this book. All the clans ended up I did a lot of skimming for this book.
Sable was still pretty irritating with her reliance on the men and woe-is-me attitude. Also not surprising, Sable and the harem kept gaining new never-before-seen abilities that made the ending rather unexciting.
Lastly, I had huge issues with Cleo as the main villain. Her bond with Sable came out of nowhere, and her backstory wasn't well fleshed out until 85% in this final book - all we knew for most of the series after she was introduced was that she was a Bad Person and took over the coven by force and kicked out poor Gwen (who also showed up for a cameo in this book). I am still not clear how Sable's false uncle was related to Cleo and why Sable was even involved in this whole power plot other than because of her heritage. I don't remember if it was ever clarified in the previous books, but it certainly wasn't recapped or further explained in this one. Cleo was a very one-dimensional evil witch that showed up often to cackle and threaten Sable and do Very Evil Things and ended up defeated in a rather unexciting battle. The book quickly flowed into a cliche HEA ending with a setup for a spin-off series.
The spin-off series synopsis does sound interesting, but I'm still undecided if I want to continue reading from the author. --- Ratings - completed series: #1 Fated Magic: ★★★★☆ #2 Broken Bond: ★★★★☆ #3 Dark Wolf: ★★★☆☆ #4 Alpha Queen (this book): ★★☆☆☆
I had very little left to finish and glad I was able to wrap this up. Another really solid and enjoyable series by Ms. Rose. Things went pretty quickly in this final book and I thought it was wrapped up really well. It set up Amora's story as well, and it would have been nice if I had just finished this before having read Rejected Mate. Still, all good.
I think whether contemporary or paranormal, Ms. Rose does a really great job of creating solid female leads and Hs that you'll end up loving. She's definitely one of my favorite RH authors and I don't think you can go wrong with any of her works.
Overall, I really enjoyed this shifter RH and definitely recommend it.
YAASSSS! The perfect conclusion to the Claimed by Wolves series! I loved Sable’s journey and the way things come together for her, Ridge, Dare, Trystan, and Archer is amazing.
Everything comes to a head in this book with Sable, her men, and the packs all joining forces to take on Cleo and her coven. Alpha Queen is action packed and full of steam!
Watching Sable transform from a fragile, traumatized young girl to the confident Alpha Queen was amazing. Her men were with her every step of the way! Just as they helped her confidence bloom, she in turn helped them become the best versions of themselves.
This is such a great series by Callie Rose and even if you aren’t a huge paranormal fan, I still highly recommend it!
I didn't read this whole book because I was enjoying it... mostly because I needed to finish the story for a sense of completion. At this point I was just skipping the spicy parts, as I grew tired of them. This story shouldn't have been 4 books long, seriously, the author was just dragging the plot through pointless situations.
It’s just so funny to think about every time they are fighting and switch back to being human they are just naked as the day they were born. Will die on the hill that Amora should have ended up with Gwen, therefore I’m not going to read her series.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
The perfect ending to this series! I love that Gwen ended up helping them in the final battle. I feel bad for Cleo and what she went through but she also did choose her path. I love that they find out about the baby and how her men make sure she’s taken care of. I can’t wait to read the next series and find out what Gwen told Amora. I hated that Ridges brother ended up dying but at least he was able to help them out a little.
I am so happy this series is over. I forced myself through the last 2 books because I hate investing so much time and not knowing the ending.
I HAVE to remember to stop reading books by this author, but I'm always sucked in by her blurbs.
The thing is, the ideas are stellar but the execution is painful and tedious. I am totally a fan of smexy times.. but in book 2 and 3 it was EXCESSIVE AF! Have a conversation, have sex. Have a nightmare, have sex. Someone dies, let's have sex. I'm scared, let's have sex. See a vision of someone being tortured, have sex.
Honestly if you cut out books 2 & 3 (with the exception of maybe idk 5 chapters) this series would've been SO MUCH better. As it was I skimmed so much of the other two books that I came [this] close to just DNF the whole thing.
I cannot in good conscience recommend this because I still have TONS of unanswered questions and I'm angry it took 4 FREAKING BOOKS to resolve the "problem". NO THANK YOU
Note: I received this book from the author and I voluntarily give this review, it is my honest opinion.
This is it, Alpha Queen is the fourth and final book in the Claimed by Wolves series and it was a fantastic ending to the series. Action, adventure, mate bonds, super-steamy, and surprises all made for a very entertaining story.
Sable has been through a lot but with the help of her mates she has come out of her shell, is fighting her anxiety, and creating a place for herself within the shifter community. Sable is not only fitting in better but she is also learning more and more about her magic and how to use it to help her pack. Sable has come along way from that scared and shy girl at the beginning of the series, I loved seeing her grow throughout the series.
Speaking of growth, Sable isn't the only one who has grown, her mates have as well. Ridge, Archer, Trystan, and Dare have all changed and grown due to Sable's influence. Each alpha had their own issues to deal with and seeing things through Sable's eye, with her support and the support of the other alphas has made each alpha a better version of himself. The relationship between Sable and the guys was never perfect but it was caring, loving, and supportive. They had a great relationship with not only Sable but each other and it too grew over the series.
The Claimed by Wolves series was fantastic, in every book, I was emotionally invested in the characters, wondering where the story was going to go next, was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was going to happen next. I loved the characters and the story, wolves versus witches, a hybrid to bridge the gap, wolf packs coming together, all made for a compelling read. Alpha Queen is the perfect conclusion to the series, the packs are figuring their stuff out, Sable and the guys are a bundle of love and acceptance, and the final battle with the witches happened, with a little surprise and a question that I hope will be answered in a spin-off series at the end. This was my first series by Callie and I am eager to try more.
A brilliant and powerful conclusion to the series. Thinking back to where this all began, to the Sable, Ridge, Trystan, Dare and Archer in the beginning, it's incredible the growth they've all gone through. I have loved being witness to Sable finding herself, becoming the strong, caring, badass of a woman that she was meant to be. The same for each of her men, I've loved them all finding their happiness together, and becoming the best versions of themselves. The way they functioned as a perfect unit in this book was a testament to just how far they've come. The pain everyone from all three packs feel after the events of the last book was obvious, and so saddening. The need to avenge all the lives lost was heavy amongst them all. With such a powerful threat still out there ready to end the wolves, all four alphas stepped up, and Sable was right there standing strong with them. There was heartache, action, loss, love, and so many surprises throughout this book. Callie did wonderful delivering this entire series to us with so much passion and creativity. I know you're all going to love it just as much as I have.
The battle might be over but the long standing feud between the shifters and the witches is no closer to ending.
The witch coven leader now knows who Sable is, and is gunning for her.
What can they do to ensure the safety of both the girl they love and the packs they rule...?
This is the last book in this series, and follows on from the previous book "Dark wolf".
Its been a long and treacherous road that they travelled upon. love was found and true hearts were joined. It was their time to shine, and to just be.
I've really enjoyed this series, but I found myself a little dissapointed with this.
I felt the link between Cleo and Sable wasn't utilised enough. There's so much that could of happened that didnt.
I expected more from this than what I got. Don't get me wrong theres nothing wrong with this book. It's full of action and plenty of sexy times, but I found myself skim reading rather than losing myself to it.
Everything is wrapped up nicely in a bow I just feel a bit flat. I'm neither elated nor jubilant.
I thought this was a good conclusion. Definitely expected, but good. I struggled a bit with this book since a lot of it was internal dialog and mentioning the same things over and over again. Or talking about their relationship and their feelings, how much things have changed, etc. It became a little repetitive.
It seemed a little unbelievable that every one supported the merge. Considering there were originally some dissenters, it was unbelievable to think that would change as quickly as it did. I wish Cleo would have been more fleshed out throughout the book instead of solely in the last little section. It would have made her a stronger villain and highlighted Sable's inner conflict since they were raised similarly. Also how was Clint related to Cleo and why did he bond them together? This was never addressed and it was a huge portion of the story!
Overall though I thought this was enjoyable. Not the best and the writing was a bit immature, but it was entertaining.
This book and the whole series was so good. This was the perfect ending for Sable and her men!
One thing I absolutely loved about this was that I didn’t like one guy more then the others. I loved all of them equally. Callie Rose NAILED the reverse harem aspect of this book. Her men were so supportive and even when they fucked up they (eventually) acknowledged it and did what they needed to make it right. I felt all of the characters love for one another.
Shout out to a major side character: Sables strength. Damn, it was a game changer when that bitch fully showed up. I loved her gradual transformation from a timid, scared girl in book one to strong as hell women ready to take on a coven leader.
Such a great paranormal series! I can’t wait for the Feral Shifters series!
At long last, the conflict that’s been brewing since the beginning of the series is finally at hand. Rather than live in fear waiting for the other shoe to drop, Sable and her mates decide to take the offense. Sable is growing as a woman, a wolf, and finally as a witch. Her fully accepting all parts of herself was one of the highlights of the series for me. Her mates also grow immensely, which I appreciate. Love can and should change people for the better. The mate bond grows stronger and continues to evolve, and we get the resolution we’ve been waiting for, with new adventures on the horizon for Sable and her mates and a close friend. This series is tame compared to some RH shifter stories I’m used to, but it’s also refreshing and well written with compelling characters and an organic storyline. Well done!
What a way to end a series! Sable grew SO MUCH from book 1 to book 4. Finally accepting her witch to be able to have full access to her power. Her mates have been so accepting of her witch side even with such bad hatred for witches. But Dare had been the hardest to come around to accepting, but he did it for Sable, for Trystan, Ridge, Archer, and lastly, himself. He couldn't see his life without any of them. Sable went through it with the most powerful witch in their region of Montana. She couldn't have done it without her mates and the pack. I'm happy and content with how this book wrapped up. Would I recommend this series to someone? Maybe. It was predictable and a little repetitive, but it kept my attention. So if ya wanna read it for the shifter romance, go for it!
Wow what a great ending to a series but with also a little bit of a way to open up the story again with a different character if what I came up with is right. Totally loved every part of this series and this book blew the others away with the way Sable and her mates Ridge, Archer, Dare and Trystan take on all that happens between them and also amongst the rest of the pack. We see them take Sable so she can grow into her witch powers with many downs. Until Dare says something that makes everything click into place for Sable. From here we see them all take the fight to Cleo. With an amazing ending but with also something that will leave you guessing still once the book ends. Totally recommend this wicked book
Callie absolutely smashed it with this one and I’m bloody obsessed. This was such a perfect ending and this series is 100% my new favourite from Callie and I don’t think I could ever get enough.
Looking at the first book to this final book you can see the clear changes in each character. The character progression from every single person in this harem was brilliant, but most of all Sable. She grew from a scared, timid girl to an absolute queen who unapologetically accepted who she was. The guys will always be some of my favourites because they just gelled together so seamlessly and worshipped the ground that Sable walked on.
If you haven’t started this series already then you must be crazy, because this is one shifter series that I will always recommend!
Alpha Queen by Callie Rose is a paranormal reverse harem shifter romance. This is the forth and final book in the Claimed By Wolves series.
Callie did an amazing job wrapping up this series. I loved the relationship between Sable, Ridge, Trystan, Archer, and Dare. We got our alpha males who helped build Sable into a strong heroine. I really enjoyed that we got all of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I can't wait for the spin off series Feral Shifters to be released on April 30, 2021 so we can get Amora and her mates story.
I would highly recommend this series if you love paranormal romances or reverse harems.
4 stars for Alpha Queen by Callie Rose. This is the fourth and final book in the Claimed by Wolves Series. This book is filled with adventure, love, steam, action and so much more. Sable is becoming better at her magic and rising to be the Queen she is meant to be. I have loved reading about the growth of her character. Sable, Ridge, Archer, Trystan, and Dare are great even if they each have their own issues. I loved this series and everything about it. I was emotionally invested in how these characters lived would turn out. If you are looking for a reverse harem that will give you the feels and stick with you then this is one for you.
Title: Alpha Queen Author: Callie Rose Format: Audio Narrators: Lia Holland, C.J. Grey Genre: Paranormal Romance, Shifter (Wolf), RH, Fated Mates Standalone: Nope Part of a Series: Book 4 of 4 of Claimed by Wolves series POV: Sable, Archer, Trystan, Ridge, Dare Steam Level: Hot 5/5
Alpha Queen is the epic conclusion to the Claimed by Wolves series and again starts just where the previous book ends. There are quite a few twists and high-intensity emotions. Everything has been building up to this action-packed and thrilling conclusion. I loved how everything came together in this book.
This was an amazing ending to Sable’s story. It had everything to make a book great! It was steamy, had action, and an amazing plot! It was so amazing to see Sable come into her full power not just a a wolf but as a witch too. Everything she had to overcome to get to where she was in this book turned her into a strong band brave woman. Her relationship with the guys was amazing too see too! The ending was perfect, but now I want to know what Gwen told Amora! Overall this series was incredible and I hope to see more of this world in the future!
What an intriguing story it has been to follow Sable and her discovery of who she is. There have been ups and downs but with the encouragement and support of her mates she has finally made it to the final showdown.
The growth Sable has shown from the very first book is immense and I really enjoyed seeing her confidence grow.
This being the final book in the series I found everything to be wrapped up nicely with no lingering questions in regards to Sable or her guys!
The final book in the series, and it does a fantastic job of tying all the plot lines together into an explosive and satisfying climax.
Sable and her men have brought the packs together to face one battle, but they need to face the long term future, and deal with Cleo the witch. No spoilers, other than they all lived happily ever after!
There's potential for a future series in the same universe, as a couple of secondary characters are set up to face their own futures. I hope that comes to pass!
What a fast paced, heart pounding conclusion to one epic series! I loved Sable and her wolves and this story! The time for war has come and with it comes uncertainty, strengthened bonds & powers & so so much more. Honestly, I loved the Claimed by Wolves Series and I am sad to see it go BUT I hope the foreshadowing at the end leads to a spin off (fingers crossed ). I don't want to give too much away so I will just say READ THIS BOOK and this series! You won't regret it!

An action packed, series finale. Kept me gripped til the end. We find out a lot more about psychopath Cleo in this book and Sable truly comes into her powers, accepting both her witch and wolf.
Her relationship with her 4 hot alphas intensifies, lots of action between the 4. There relationship continues to develop and grow stronger. Callie Rose, has written some great characters, plus some interesting side characters. I wonder if we are looking forward to some spin offs. Fingers crossed.
If you love witches, shifters and magic, take a look at this series, you won’t be disappointed.
The final battle to end the war between witches and wolves. Sable has to embrace the piece of herself that could potentially push her men away. Archer is dealing with the loss of Malcolm and Ridge, Trystan and Dare need to unite all of the packs. This is a coming of age for all of them and many issues are dealt with. Amora also finds out information that leads her to leave the pack. They are beautiful together (steamy and OTT sex) and they will overcome anything together. Great final chapter to this RH with a bit of a tease at the very end. Now I want to know so this means Callie has to give us something in the future
Great book. Sable is trying to connect to the witch part of herself after the packs had been attacked by the witches. The head of the witch coven, Cleo, has found out that she is attached to Sable. Sable is terrified of her witch side because of how the witches have constantly attacked the different wolf packs over the years. Sable's four alphas, Trystan, Dare, Ridge, and Archer, are working with her to accept that part of her. With the five of them working together, exciting things happen with the packs.
My rating is 3.5 for total series. I give 4 stars because the writing is fair and I love Callie Rose. But there were some aspects that really needed building on that I felt were left out.
It was a nice enough series, but I found myself so bored through books 3 and 4. Even though those were supposed to be the most intense. I would find myself thinking of something in the middle of the story and not being able to come back for several minutes.
I won't be reading this series again, unfortunately.
This was alright but there was so many unanswered questions about the FMC’s past. We find out that her uncle who raised her wasn’t even related to her but he died before they could even ask him any questions. We have no information on the connection she has with this man or her parents, why did this man have this child? What’s the connection/bond to the witch? We never found out why the man drew those digits on her body to bond her to that witch and the witch didn’t know either of them so I found that quite odd. So many loose ends!
