She wants him to squeeze her melons . . . He wants her to hold his wood . . . Max is the sole reason Breezy can’t keep a boyfriend. Every boyfriend she has ever had breaks up with her the moment they meet him. It’s not because of his eight-pack, or his panty shredding smile. No, the reason Breezy remains single is because Max is her best friend and roommate. When Breezy’s new boyfriend dumps her after meeting Max for the first time, Breezy is determined to cure her boyfriend woes by challenging Max to a bet: she can’t click her mouse, he can’t wrestle his snake, and neither one can say the word sex or they lose. It was a simple game of abstinence, until Max decides to tempt Breezy into a hilarious game of innuendos. Now, the only thing harder than Max’s “wood”, is figuring out just where their friendship lies after all bets are off. One thing’s for certain . . . All’s fair in sex, love, and innuendos.
Haha! Snort, flail, lmao. Lol, hehehe, bwahaha. Was that soda spewing from my nose? Do I have the hiccups now? Ah geez, I'm cramping. ROFL, snort, guffaw, I am straight up convulsing. This was, perhaps, the funniest book I have read—ever. That's pretty high praise, I've read a lot of books. This was not the silent, occasionally quivering, inner laughter. This was belly clutching, rolling in the aisle mirth. So wonderfully clever.
Max and Breezy are best friends and roommates. Yes, this has been done. It's been overdone and overplayed. It's been done well, it's been done poorly. It has never been done this hysterically. What I also loved was how good the character development and relationship depth was! Max was a man whore, but never an a$$. He only gave ladies one night, but he was still respectful. Breezy was a little dim about the level of simmering attraction going on, but we'll let her get by since she was adorable in her oblivious way.
The secondary characters were perfect. Maggie was a hoot, and her continued presence in the tale made it all the better. Her Chocolate God. Oh geez, dying! Max's wingman, Tony was hilarious. Their act, the grab a$$ery, ahhh, I'm in stitches!
So many scenes tried to compete for my favorite. The first time they have "Peanut Butter Cups". Oversharing parents. Salty meat balls and white glazed buns. Holding his wood and trying to make it fit. It was too much. I laughed so much I woke up my husband.
Hiya, Barbie! Hi, Ken. Wanna go for a ride? Sure, Ken! Jump in! That's pretty much the best advice I can give you. Pop some popcorn, mix in some m&m's, and hunker down with a pint of cookie dough ice cream. It's going to be a GREAT ride! ~ George, 5 stars
Loved this book! I laughed my ass off. It's wonderful when you find a book that makes you forget everything going on not only in your "world" but in the one around you too.
I’ll tell you something about this book: it sure hell is funny!
When I started Innuendos I was a bit worried about how the Erotic Romantic Comedy thing would work, but I shouldn’t have been. While a lot of things are hinted upon, and innuendos are thrown out, and some sex does occur, it isn’t, by any means, one of the most explicit books I’ve read.
The writing was most of all fun, but the dialogs made me cringe at times and they (sometimes) felt a bit unnatural. On the other hand, I loved the internal dialogs, so there was a perfect balance. However, given that I read this fairly quickly, I noticed a few words that escaped through the cracks and shouldn’t have been there. During the bet, neither Breezy or Max can say the word sex, or anything directly related to it, however, they both do, without the other calling them up on it.
I really liked Max, I loved that he had no problems admitting how he felt about Breezy and how patient he was with her, even if he did this while sleeping around… a lot. Still, even with that, he appreciated women and was never disrespectful. Breezy, on the other hand, was a bit more complicated to connect with, because she was just so blind to what was going on in her life and with her feelings. The side characters were great, Maggie was totally hilarious. Max’s parents… OMG!
I felt that the first third of the book was a bit slow. While I understood the importance of establishing Travis’ importance in Breezy’s life, and showing the type of life that Max was leading, I wish that there would have been a bigger focus on Max and Breezy’s relationship from the start. When the focus shifts – a.k.a., when Travis finally meets Max – the book advances rather quickly and it’s increasingly funnier, because Max and Breezy’s verbal foreplay is hilarious. How could that girl think that that kind of flirting was normal thought, is beyond me!
All the innuendos were beyond hilarious, I think one of my favorite scenes was the changing room scene at Victoria Secrets, eheh.
I was a bit disappointed at Breezy when the bet finally ends, I expected her to be scared, but I didn’t quite predict what she would do, and I didn’t like it… it seriously broke my heart. Max deserved better.
There are a LOT of clichés in this book, like in all romantic comedies, but it’s totally worth the read. The situations they get themselves into are beyond funny, and Breezy and Max are a couple you can’t help but root for. Well done!
This is definitely a fun and fast book that will have you laughing your heart out. I laughed so much that I cried and had people looking at me strangely when I read in public.
Max and Breezy, best friends since High School and roommates for the last four years, are they type of friends everyone wants to be around. Their relationship is beautiful, with love, jokes, and sexual innuendos galore.
I can’t remember the last time I laughed so much while reading a book. Every character brought so much to the story and Max and Breezy just had the best talks. Maggie is one other character that I completely fell in love with. She was a real trooper and her wit was perfect.
The writing is funny and the plot is fast paced. Max and Breezy engage in some very hilarious verbal exchanges and this makes the story what it is. A bet between them turns out to be more than what they expected and things progress fairly fast with that. One particular scene in a Victoria’s Secret store completely broke my resolve to keep it together in public. That was too funny!
When the bet is over, the reaction that Breezy had was very unexpected. I thought she would have a hard time with the result, but didn’t quite picture she’d react the way she did. I was upset with her because of that. But, that didn’t make my enjoyment of the story any less. This is definitely a book for anyone who enjoys romantic comedy.
Reading Innuendos gave me the feeling of seeing macaroni and cheese come walking in my direction. It rocked my world and I have to say that's the very best feeling. Overall, I loved this book with a passion and I highly recommend it. 5/5 stars.
Okay, romance (for me) doesn’t start with the FMC describing the sounds of 50+ women the MMC has given orgasms to and how limber some have been. Ehh, she calls him the “Pussy Slinger.”
They’ve also been friends for over 10 years, and she started out ‘fat’ but the MMC fixed all that by being her personal trainer over the years.
He can’t have her because he friend-zoned her, and his first POV is this:
”So how do I satisfy my Breezy denied dick might you ask? Easy! I turned myself into a man-whore. It’s not something I’m proud of. In fact, there have been several occasions where I questioned my sanity because of how much pussy I get.” << This is followed by him admitting MONTHLY STD checks.
^ So, romantic. But it gets better.
The dialogue is disturbing as he and his buddy decide if they are in the mood for a one night stand with a “fatty” or “kinky chink.” The MMC laughingly calls his buddy a racist, but this is just too much. <<< If the author thinks that kinda shit is funny, then I really don’t want to read ANYTHING she writes.
His interaction at a bar turns into a “chubby chaser” “Robin Hood” event that he says he will show the chubby girl a good time because he sees beauty in all women. <<< My lips are in a snarl, and I’d like to dick-punch the MMC (not fondly) in the first 6% of the book.
Yeah, time for an exit.
No rating…excuse me while I go vomit. I don’t think I’ve ever DNF’d a book at just 6% lol.
I was lucky enough to Beta read this for the author.
Max & Breezy are long time friends who now live together. Although many people say men and women can't be friends without more, they make it work. One drunken night after Breezy's latest breakup - Max yet again being the reason it didn't work - they come up with a no sex challenge. This then evolves to not even being able to talk about it and thus the innuendos ensue.
I have not laughed soo hard in a long time whilst reading a book. Who knew there were so many ways to describe things, so many things I am now unable to look at in the same light. I absolutely loved the banter between Max & Breezy, and Maggie had me cracking up every time she spoke. You can't beat a character that just tells it like it is. I can't wait for her book.
This is perfect for those who have a crude sense of humour and laugh at sexual innuendos, as the title suggests, this book is full of them!
Innuendos by V.Kelly is a MUST read! Max and Breezy have this light-hearted, fun friendship that will keep you laughing as you cheer them on. I found myself silently rooting for their relationship to become more. Then, I found myself ugly crying when things were falling apart. V.Kelly has a way of drawing you into these characters and you find yourself invested in their outcome. Will Breezy end up savoring Max’s balls (meatballs) forever? Will Max only want Breezy’s melons (watermelons) in his happily ever after? If you love a book that draws you in and makes you feel like the characters are people you know, I highly recommend you come along on their journey!!!
To start with, I LOVE the covers in the It Had 2 B U series. They are so eye catching and fun, they instantly drew me to these books! I actually won Innuendos through a giveaway with V. Kelly and she so generously ended up gifting me with both Innuendos and Accent Hussy. Totally awesome! In Innuendos, Max and Breezy are best friends and roommates. In Breezy’s eyes, Max is the main man in her life, but only in a best friend and family capacity. She is looking for love and marriage, and unfortunately, she has somehow not noticed that her best friend Max, has been in love with her for years. Sure Max is a manwhore, but it is only ever one night, and it is to help him stop thinking about the woman of his dreams being with whatever guy she is dating at the time. Breezy is always dubious to introduce her guys to Max, as one look at him and they are intimidated and go running for the hills. So when she meets Travis and it turns serious, she puts off the meeting for as long as possible. She was right to put it off though, as when Travis meets Max, he is not happy at all and pretty much breaks up with Breezy. She is devastated and there is only one person who can cheer her up…..Max. It is during the “cheer Breezy up” party of two that a crazy bet arises between the them. No sex, no talk of sex (including saying the word) and no self satisfying ;-). Enter the crazy innuendos and devious behaviour. Sexual tension builds and builds until eventually they are both about to combust and end up having the craziest and best night of sex they have ever had. The next morning Breezy is full of regret, whilst Max is on top of the world. Have Max and Breezy destroyed a truly amazing friendship? Or have they opened the door to become something more? I love that Max isn’t an egotistical manwhore and that he also isn’t shallow. Any woman, any shape, any size, he will give them the night of their life and treat them like they are the most beautiful person on the planet. Breezy, well sometimes I just wanted to grab her and shake her to get her to open her eyes, surely over so many years, the extent of the flirting should of made her think. I also loved the cheese factor in the book and the fun of the pop music, the flirty teasing between the characters, to Max then being the perfect guy and knowing the perfect ratio of chocolate to popcorn to bring Breezy out of her funks. Yes some things in this book are a tad cliché, but that works with Innuendos. It adds to the fun factor and the banter. The writing style is fun, and kind of how you would literally think and speak. It is entertaining and engaging. We read from Max and Breezy’s perspective which is fun when they are thinking up ways to try tempt the other to lose the bet. You are instantly sucked into the storyline and hit the end before you know it. This story has you smiling throughout, laughing like a lunatic and garnering strange looks as if you are crazy from those around you. I think if you read this story you will be rooting for Max from the very beginning, he steals your heart straight off. Imagery is easily created in your mind of the gorgeous characters and the story as it flows, this is down to V. Kelly’s creative and witty writing style. Although Innuendos is a witty romance, you do still feel the element of romance, mainly from Max, but it is there. All of the secondary characters in Innuendos are equally as fun and totally add a bit to the story. Max’s parents, had me re-reading their appearances numerous times as they were that hilarious, although if they were my parents and talking about sex in the way they did, I would be just as mortified as Max. Maggie…….I adored her. She becomes friends with both Max and Breezy and I cannot wait to read her story with Dashawn! A story full of wit and banter and flirting by the bucket loads. It’s about being brave enough to express yourself and take a huge risk, to put yourself out there and permanently change things, for the good or the bad. Innuendos is enthralling and heart-warming, definitely a recommended read!
DELICIOUSLY CUTE, SERIOUSLY SEXY AND DELIGHTFULLY ENTERTAINING!!! Title: Innuendos Series: It Had 2 B U Author: V Kelly Designation: Standalone Full-Length Novel, NO Cliffhanger My Rating: FIVE DIVINELY ENTERTAINING STARS***** Oh my! I loved, loved, loved this book! This is my first experience reading V Kelly but I can guarantee, it won't be my last! This is hands down, the most delightfully entertaining book I've read this year and that's saying a lot since I read a ton of books! Innuendos is a fast paced, well crafted, fun-filled, standalone full-length romantic comedy filled to the brim with outrageous humor, snappy dialogue, heartbreaking angst and heartwarming romance. The narrative is beautifully written in the first person with clearly defined alternating his and her points of view. The dialogue is smart, witty, contemporary, well executed and flows effortlessly. But the piece de resistance is the magnificent well developed cast of characters who grabbed my undivided attention right out of the gate and completely captured my heart! I fell head over heels in love with the two protagonists of this story, handsome personal trainer Maxwell 'Max' James McGowan and beautiful law office clerk Breeanne 'Breezy' Nicole Hicks. They were engaging, sexy, laugh-out-loud funny and their sexual chemistry was off the charts, smokin' hot. They were absolutely magnificent! Once I started reading, I simply could not stop. I laughed with them, cried with them, empathized with them, screamed at them and even cheered for them. Several times my heart stuttered and almost stopped, and all the while the pages as well as the time flew with hours passing seemingly as minutes until I reached the very last line. And I loved every single second! What did I love about this story? Everything! What didn't I like? Not a darn thing! Would I recommend this book? You bet and I am but only for adult readers since it does contain explicit language and some dreamy love scenes. Will I read this author again? Absolutely!
Breezy and Max have been best friends for ten years and roommates for the last four. What girl wouldn't love living with a hot, handsome guy, right? Breezy loves sharing her life and her home with Max; truly, she does. There's just one little problem - and it's six feet of well packaged muscle! Every single guy she dates, cuts bait and runs for the hills once they meet her hunky roommate! Well, maybe there's actually two little problems; the second one being that said handsome roommate is a total player! But they've stood by each other through thick and thin, always caring more for each other than either ever wanted to admit. When one crazy bet gets totally out of hand, they soon come to realize they're both more than a just little attracted to each other. Their barrage of sexual innuendos leads to an explosive encounter, which not only rocks both their worlds, but also leads them to the realization that their relationship as well as their lives have changed forever. Will one night ruin the thing they value most? Or will Max and Breezy discover their friendship has grown into the kind of love they each have unknowingly desired? We'll see! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!
I swear to all that is holy V Kelly's way with words, leaving me in severe pain. And it's not from the hubs. No, it's from laughing so hard. My nose hurts from snorting so much, my ribs feel like I've broken a few, my stomach is tender to the touch, and my poor, poor lady parts (Again, not from the hubs) NO, sadly that came when my pelvic bone popped from hysterical laughter from a dressing room scene that I read through a clouded vision of laughing tears. I seriously give V Kelly mad props, her sense of humor reminds me of my family and I so much. I ripped though this book like it was it was crack and I needed my fix. There was not one character I didn't like (well except Georgette, but she's an evil hooch and you're not suppose to) This book really got me, not just hysterically, I fell in love with the feel of empowering those that feel less of themselves. I have a no f rule as well in my house as well as the S word. I hate any type of shaming or judging. A person is beautiful regardless of appearance. I have engrained it in my children that appearance will never tell you what makes a person special. Everyone is unique, and deserve a chance at love, friends, and happiness. Thank you to V Kelly for putting this in this book!
Breeanne, also know as Bree or as Max calls her Breezy, has been best friends with her roommate, Max for ten years. They met in high school, went to college together, and moved in as roommates and now have lived together for 3 years. Breeanne has not always been the confident gorgeous spitfire you see today. No, Max built her up, made her see how bright she shines, and treats his best friend like the queen she is. Yes, you heard right, HIS! And that's where all the problems lie. Every guy Bree dates dump her when they met her sexy beast of a roommate/ best friend. After, her latest break up and a drunken fight between the two, they make a bet. Bree bets Max that she can go without sex longer and without speaking the words longer than Max. If Bree wins she gets a puppy; if Max wins he gets to kiss her for 30 mins. Both determined to win, they play a vast game of using innuendos in hopes the other will break.
Bree is so much fun! Sadly, most things go over her head and I'm sitting here laughing so hard because no, she's not the brightest crayon in the box. Bless her heart, we love her anyways.
Max is such an awesome guy (I think I need to fan myself a little, give me a minute) He treats every woman like she is special. I feel if I go to deep into him I might spill more beans then I should.
My favorite character had to be Maggie though. I love her like no other. Who knew she was such a wildcat! I was expecting a timid self conscious woman. Heck No! We got us a hilarious firecracker. I can't wait for her book.
This has become one of my favorites. Now I'm off to devour an Accent Hussy, YAY!
I was intrigued when I read the blurb for Innuendos so when I got the opportunity to read an ARC I jumped at the chance - and I'm so glad that I did!!! Started it late evening and read pretty much through the night as I was enjoying the story so much!
Bree and Max have been best friends since high school and are now flatmates. They have a fantastic relationship and are there for each other no matter what.
Max is most definitely my new favourite book boyfriends - he was hot, sexy (yeah, I did have to overlook his - totally warranted - manwhore status!! - but that was explained!!) he was attentive, thoughtful, caring and very funny!! Totally understood why he was Bree's best friend!!
Bree was totally suited to her bestie - she just couldn't see him in that light. Too afraid that doing more than flirt with him would ruin their friendship regardless of how attracted she is to him. Her desire to be in a lasting relationship always falls at the hurdle where her latest flame meets Max (he seems to bring out the bf's insecurities, amongst other things). After her latest breakup - yep, you guessed it, 'cos of her hottie flatmate - they come up with a 'no sex' challenge. Double entendres and innuendos are all grand - they just can't directly mention or have sex (with others or anyone else!). I honestly haven't laughed so much reading a book in quite some time. The comments came thick and fast (yeah, that was totally intended!! ;) ) and Bree gave Max back as good as she got (is that another one?!?!) :D
There's a lot more to the story that I'm not gonna tell you, that you need to read yourself! Supporting characters were really entertaining - especially loved Maggie and her beau. Can't wait for more in this series!
If you enjoy a great laugh out loud read with a good storyline, go 1-C yourself a copy of Innuendos and settle in for the duration - I promise you, you won't want to put your eReader down once you get started on this fabulous book!!! If you enjoy the books of Tara Sivec and/or Alice Clayton, Max & Bree's story will be up there on your list of faves I'm sure..
I rate Innuendos 5 gloriously funny stars - *****
ARC received in exchange for an honest review. Enjoyed it so much I've also bought my own copy!
⚠ MY THOUGHTS ⚠ Judging a Book by it's Cover: Corny, cheesy, kinda campy... sets the tone for the book. Synopsis hints at a book filled with laugh out loud moments.
Looking Deeper: Alternating first-person POVs, clearly defined. Max and Breezy have been best friends for ten years, living together for the last three. While Max acts as the man-whore to cover up his growing love for Breezy, she can't seem to keep a boyfriend once they've met "the chiseled Adonis with an eight-pack". The result of Breezy's latest boyfriend dumping her? A drunken bet: No sex or even mentioning the word. Let the games begin! The lead characters are a little immature, mostly in a good natured, silly way. Their chemistry is fun and flirtatious. There are enough secondary characters to be a supportive filler without overwhelming the primary couple or story. I did notice the word "sex" WAS used at the end of the seventeenth chapter (approx. 54%) by Breezy, but neither of them seemed to realize it.... with the stakes as they were, Max SHOULD HAVE honed in on that immediately. Max slips at Breezy's birthday and says the no-no word between presents and cake, but no one seems to catch that either. Other than that, the dialogue and interaction was light and enjoyable. To that point. Thereafter, there are moments of passion, heartbreak, and seriousness. There are conflicts, this is not all sunshine and roses. Predictability is rather low. The conclusion is solid and satisfying, the Epilogue ties things up nicely. If I'd not had to set this book aside to meet a blog obligation, I probably would have read this in one sitting. The writing was just too smooth and the character chemistry was too enjoyable to want to put down for any length of time. I'm so very happy that I bought this book and took the time to enjoy a "just for me" book, it did NOT disappoint.
I was really lucky to be a beta reader for this book and what a book it is.
When Vanessa first told me about this book I was immediately intrigued as the age old "men and women can't be just friends" is something that interests me having grown up with mainly male friends and I do truly believe they can be though I am a sucker for when too best friends fall in love. Anyway... the premise without giving too much away is that Max & breezy have grown up together, are best friends, and now as adults they live together. As great as they find it, this is hard for Breezy as whenever her boyfriends meet Max (who is HOT AS), they get weird for various reasons (don't understand how they can live together and just be friends or intimidated by Max, I refer to previous comment on hotness) and unfortunately end up dumping the lovely Breezy.
When Breezy's latest boyfriend finally meets Max and dumps her, Breezy is a mess and hence the challenge commences. well - what can I say, I have never seen so many innuendos in a standard conversation and it is absolutely hilarious. The fact they are both attracted to each other really ups the game trying to see who cracks first and will the stakes being high for the loser, they really put each other too the test. I laughed so much, even disturbed my husband one or two times with how much I was laughing (he isn't a booky so doesn't get how I get so involved in the book).
In summary, I would say this book is amazing, the characters (not just the main ones but the support characters like Maggie and her chocolate god are also amazing and complement the story well) are really relatable and you do get swept away in to the story. You laugh with them, cry with them and feel the frustrations as the game escalates. I couldn't put it down, read it in one sitting and was gutted when it ended.
When Breezy’s new boyfriend dumps her after meeting Max for the first time, Breezy is determined to cure her boyfriend woes by challenging Max to a bet: she can’t click her mouse, he can’t wrestle his snake, and neither one can say the word sex or they lose. Now, the only thing harder than Max’s “wood”, is figuring out just where their friendship lies after all bets are off. One thing’s for certain . . . All’s fair in sex, love, and innuendos. This book was amazing and I could not put it down. Innuendos is HILARIOUS, I laughed so much at all of the Innuendos Breezy and Max would use. I loved Max and Breezy as best friends and I secretly hoped they would become more. Wishing one of them would cross the line and become more. Max and Breezy make an amazing couple. V. Kelly is an amazing author, I loved all of her books. Can't wait to see what V. Kelly will write next!
About 2 months or so ago a Facebook stranger added me to V. Kelly's readers group. Once I was added the author so generously gave me a copy of one of her books to read as she felt that if your in her group then you should have read at least one of her books. I read it & loved it! This was where I was introduced into the Rom-Com genre. This is where our friendship was born!
I was fortunate enough to beta read Innuendos and I've gotta say how much I loved it!! Max and Breezy are absolutely hysterical! I didn't just laugh at this book!! I managed to spew my coffee all over my kindle AND wake hubby from a deep sleep at the hilarity between these two. I will never look at meatballs and watermelons the same way again!
Innuendos was such a funny, sweet and heartbreaking read. Max not only loves Breezy but he worships the ground she walks on. Max is also Breezy's roommate and her rock. He's her one stability when her world gets turned upside down anytime in their 10 years of friendship. But what happens when one friend "secretly" loves the other? What happens when your best friend whose also your roommate and happens to be a man-whore changes his ways to be with you? What happens when the Innuendos aren't enough and the truth comes out?
This is the second book I have read by V. Kelly the first being POP! (Add to your to be read list it is hilarious) and Innuendos definitely doesn’t fail in the laughter department. The book is full of loveable characters. Breezy & Max have been best friends for the last 10 years and are also roommates. Max is madly in love with Breezy but she is oblivious to the fact. Every other person around them can see they are made for each other from just seeing them together once. Max is a total man whore to cover up the fact that he hates her dating other guys so he has a revolving bedroom door o one night stands. Breezy’s boyfriends run for the hill when they find out she lives with a man that looks as hot as Max and don’t believe they are only friends. Breezy has hidden Max away from her latest boyfriend because she is in love with him. When he finds out about Max he also wants to break things off so he can think. So her & Max get drunk which leads to a bet No Sex they can’t even say the word. The prize for Breezy is a puppy Max’s prize is a kiss. That’s when the innuendos start up full force and they are filthy, dirty & funny as hell. It’s also when Breezy sees Max in a new light and wants him badly. But her Ex also wants her back. Can they have an HEA once they have the not to be mentioned word? (PS. The dressing room scene is a LMAO moment)
This is the second book I've read by this author and I have to say she has cemented herself as a one-click author for me! I tend to read Rom Com's when I'm having a particularly rough or stressful time and let me tell you, this book did not fail me! Max & Breezy have been besties since high school and have decided to become roomies. I enjoyed their friendship so much that I was actually nervous to see if they could become more, especially since Max is a total manwhore! However after getting to know him he has become one of my top book boyfriends! The banter between these two is some of the best I've ever experienced in a book and I could not stop laughing! Bree was so attracted to him but didn't act on it out of fear of ruining the friendship. Then when her current relationship ends the two friends decide to challenge each other and complete hilarity ensues! This book is full of original, unique & witty humor while at the same time being sweet, romantic & melt my Kindle sexy! It's the perfect mix of all those things while still having the conflict & heartache that gives you "the feels" you crave in a romance book! I would absolutely recommend this and all other books from this fantastic author!
Reviewing this story of breezy and Max's story was a pleasure
We have two best friends that have been through a hell of a lot together breezy losing her parents which was a very bad time but if there is one person that could cheer up when she is down she count on max who she calls a man whore as he has a lot of women that come in and out of there apartment that they share.
After making a bet between them that they cannot talk about sex have sex they both try to catch each other out
After breezy meets a guy called travis it looks as if she has fallen in love for the first time she tells a little white lie to travis saying that she lives with a she.
How will the relationship end when travis finds out its max? Max and breezy put there friendship on the line when max says he has loved breezy for 10 years how will breezy react to his confession and how will it all end?
Read this amazing book I am giving it 4/5 a lot of comedy moments characters are fitted together brilliantly and it's a great read.
The moment I started Innuendos by V. Kelly, I could not put it down! Sweet, sexy with just the perfect amount of heart, this story had me giggling uncontrollably and loving that sexy man, Max! Max and Breezy made my heart happy. They had a few moments that made me want to cry and scream, but there were some moments that just about bowled me over with laughter. V. Kelly writes a romance that is downright entertaining and full of sizzling, dreamy chemistry.
I freaking LOVED...no...ADORED Max and Breezy's story! I found myself drowning in their story and I loved every minute of their banter, their sometimes, crude innuendos and I SO ENJOYED watching the sparks fly and the romance soar between these two. OMG I could easily get lost in this book a second time!
Innuendos gets a SEXY, SWEET, AND IRRESISTIBLE FIVE SHOOTING STARS! If you like romantic comedies that can make you laugh out loud and have the right amount of heart, Innuendos is PERFECT for you.
I was lucky enough to receive this book as an ARC. Where to start Breezy and Max are best friends and roommates who have no idea just how Into each other they are.
Breezy is a gentle funny girl who has had her fair share of crap. But one things always been solid for her. Her manwhore best friend Max he knows just how to make her smile. He also knows how to make me crave popcorn and M&M which I haven't craved since high school. Innuendos is the perfect Rom Com for any girl out there who needs a good laugh and a warm fuzzy feeling. I fell head over heals for Max and wanted him so badly! (I have a new book boyfriend for my shelf) I laughed, I cried, it was the perfect mix of emotions. Every lady who's every fallen or wanted to know what it's like to love your best friend needs to read this! Innuendo is at the top of my favorites and re read list now.
I don't normally read books that would make me laugh, as it seriously takes a lot for me to laugh, but, HOLY CRAPOLA- on a stick!!! Innuendos is absolutely hilarious, I was laughing so much I actually choked on my dinner!! It completely captivated from the very first page, drawing me in, making me read until early hours of the morning, only to wake up exhausted and still giggling! - and yes... I cried!!! At one point I HATED breezy! I was screaming at my kindle, hoping to knock some sense into her! Max... All I can think about is the song, 'Feeling hot, hot hot!!' - Yes, he makes me feel all hot and bothered, yes he is an Italian stallion... I want him.. I NEED him!! Where can I get one?!?! The plot is brilliant, the writing is fantastic, the whole book is just incredible!!! 5 'hilarious' stars! #2OCCAB

Ok.... I happen to love innuendos and puns, I love all things dirty talk and funny and silly and crazy. This book had me rolling. I will never look at a box the same way again or watermelons for that matter. I now have a lot more innuendos to use on my husband. I really enjoyed this book there was so much chemistry between Breezy and Max from the beginning. I loved all the flirting and how the flirting felt natural and real like two people would actually flirt. I think V Kelly did a great job on this book and I definitely can't wait to read the next one. If you're looking for a laugh this book is guaranteed to give you one.
Breezy has a mouth on her, “I’m not tasting your balls, salty or otherwise.” Her eyes drop to my nut sack, and I see her briefly lick her lips." Breezy really is a good friend, “no, I’m lobbying for your ***k’s protection. You’re about ten seconds away from grilling your wiener on our stove.” I look down. Holy eff! My erection is so large it’s almost kissing the burner of the stove, which just so happens to be boiling a fresh pot of spaghetti noodles." This book was laugh out loud funny, I really liked it.
I loved this book! I'm a lover of innuendos myself so this was perfect for me. Some parts had me laughing so hard my family thought I was crazy, and I may have accidentally peed myself. The friendship Breezy and Max have is the kind you wish you had. It kept me laughing but also caused tears to form in my eyes. It was overall a great book and I can't wait to read more from this author, especially the stories of the other characters from Innuendos. If you need a good laugh please consider reading this because it is so awesome!
5 stars. LMAO reading this book it was totally hilarious. Max and Breezy have been best friends for 10 years and live together which causes problems for Breezy's love life as all her boyfriends dump her after meeting Max the Italian God and manwhore. After her latest break up and a drunken night out they bet each other that neither can participate or mention the word sex. This is when the innuendos fly and the hilarity ensues. I read this book after coming across reviews on Goodreads and I am so glad, it made me laugh out loud.
Innuendos was exactly what the book was. It was hilarious and absolutely adorable.
Max and Breezy are roommates and best friends. This book follows their journey. It's witty, tear inducing (through laughter most of the time) and adorable.
I loved the characters, the storyline was GENIUS and the play on words made the book fun. It was so different from what I've read before, it was refreshing.
THIS BOOK IS NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED BUT FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO LAUGH OUT LOUD AND READ A ROMANCE WITH A DIFFERENCE
