At the request of his Sire, Benjamin Rossignol is asked to meet with a woman in order to assist him with finding a cure for a mystical Hell poison that has infected one of his Brethren. At the meeting, Ben is understandably drawn to the beautiful strawberry blond woman with blue eyes, but there is more to her than just a pretty face. Everything inside him urges him to get to know her. He does not understand why he feels compelled not to lie to her or try to hide who and what he is. When he realizes she is his promised mate, he must convince her to accept him and be with him or lose her. Will she choose him? Alison Stevens, psychic empath, senses a great deal from the man she is talking with over dinner. He thinks she’s beautiful. He is drawn to her for some reason he doesn’t understand. Nah, maybe it’s just her. She must be projecting what she wishes he were thinking. Agreeing to help analyze a friends blood for a possible poison, what she discovers when she looks under the microscope is astounding. What she discovers about Ben is unbelievable. Can she accept everything he’s told her? How is he so sure she is his promised mate? Will she or won’t she accept a new life with a new love?

Benjamin is the second book in the SMC series and it's just as exciting as Book 1! I love how the romance, action and plot aren't forced and you see the different personality of each character showing through. The unique abilities of each of the Bretheren and their mates also adds to the excitement.
If you enjoy a good read then this is a book for you!
Book 2 of Danielle Wilson’s 14-book “Sundown Motor Cycle Club” series features Benjamin Rossignol and Alison Stevens’s story – Benjamin’s quest to win over his promised mate.
I love the author’s visual descriptions that put the reader right into the scenes, the sub-plots and the cast of supporting characters. Feels like a TV series in the making!
Recommended for readers who love a unique mix of Romance, Vampires and Biker friends.
Book two in the series, but if you pick it up as a standalone, there's enough information slipped into the first couple of chapters to get you up to speed.
Now that one of the Sundown Motorcycle Club has met his promised mate in book one, we find that one of Jessica's bridesmaids (no spoilers) turns out to be the promised mate of another one of the club members ( the novel is called Benjamin so you work it out) and they share gifts that will help the struggle of good against evil.
This being an eleven book series (that I am dedicated to) I spot a pattern. I believe that club member, all of whom are vampires, will find their promised mate in the book dedicated to them but with a background of a story that grips you and leaves you not knowing which way it will turn. Maybe the magician who created the vampires to fight evil had this in mind when he made them.
I have read the 1st and second books of this series. Author creates an interesting world and I could connect with the characters. The second book was even better than the first. Great vampire story.
I really love the way this world and the mythology this author is creating for this world is expanding. I adored Max, but Ben may have my heart! Anxious for the next one!
When Ben, the healer of the vampire brothers is introduced to toxicologist Alison in the hopes, she will help find what is poisoning his brother Zach, they both struggle with the feelings that are overwhelming them. With Alison being a psychic, she knows everything Ben is thinking and while they search for the cure, they relationship builds. The author has done a fantastic job at creating lovable characters in this series along with an equally fantastic storyline. And of course, we get all the hotness that we have come to love from the group of Brethren brothers. Benjamin is the second book in the Sundown Motorcycle Club and like book 1, is a thoroughly enjoyable read. Looking forward to reading the next in the series. Highly recommended
I was just as thrilled to read this one as I was the first. I loved reading how Ben found the love of his life and the adventures they went through. I look forward to reading the next one in the series.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one! The story revolves around Benjamin who is in a vampire motorcycle club and a healer for the Brethren. He's not sure if he will get his promised mate like his sire Max until one of the Detruire cuts one of his Brethren with a poison knife from Hell. He tries to heal the wound but it is beyond his skills. Alison is a toxicological researcher who is friends with Max's mate and she asks for her skills to diagnose what poison it is. Needless to say, Alison is thrown for a loop when she finds out that vampires and hellspawn are real and Ben is one. She's also a strong psychic empath, A gift she got when she got in a car crash and had a near death experience and she can feel the raw possessive emotions from Ben and she's feeling the same for him. There's plenty of drama, witty banter, action packed scenes, and some steamy romance that will keep you entertained. Will these new poison tactics from the Detruire do the Brethren in and what other Devilish are coming their way? Grab this one and discover for yourself. I highly recommend this series!
Benjamin: Sundown Motorcycle Club : With centuries to love, lose and reflect on his perfect mate, Ben is not so shallow to believe looks are everything but seeks a woman of inner strength as well. I love that the women in this series have their own powers and Alison is no exception. Her character is well thought out, for the price of her power is a physical challenge that serves to increase her determination to achieve. In addition to a strong sense of who she is, Alison is also an educated woman on a dedicated career path when she meets Ben. And that's when the sparks fly and their personal powers interact to compliment each other's. In his quest to fight evil, Ben finds his mate in a woman who contributes more than desire, more than love for she has the power of of science to add to his own unique skill set. This is a lovely read that I recommend for anyone who lives vampires, romance and adventure.
I’m not a fan of vampire romances but this series has a very interesting twist to it. I won’t give spoilers to that. If more were like this I’d enjoy vampires more. I love Ben and Allison’s story. I wish the rest of the series was on KU. This one wasn’t at the time I read it but I had a digital discount and wanted to know more of this story line. Book one was good too. This does build on book one
Loved Ben's patient desperation for a love he never thought he would have again since killing his first love. The added excitement of wondering if Zack would recover and the suspense of who wants Jessica's property. Great continuing story of the series. Look forward to finding out about the next Brethren in line to find love.
Benjamin!! The author creates just the right amount of tension and Horror. She made her characters likable which is a huge plus. The main characters has his own demons to banish. ALL AROUND A EXCELLENT BOOK!
I can’t express how happy discovering this series makes me. It’s got everything this girl could want: vampires, true love, chemistry, action, and more. I will absolutely read the next book ASAP.
This book was just as good as the first. I like that the character are unique and not carbon copies of each other. Alison was a person in her own right too and not just a love interest to revolve her life around the man. She was smart , has her own powers, and made a great pairing with Benjamin!
I enjoyed this book; I am intrigued by vampires. There is something eerily romantic about it, as I found in Benjamin: Sundown Motorcycle Book 2. I would highly recommend this book
Benjamin (Sundown Motorcycle Club #2) is the second book in the Brethren Vampire Series. In this one, it is Benjamin who will search for his soul mate. Benjamin is the healer of the group and when a group member needs his services, Benjamin seeks consultation with the lovely Alison, and I don't want to spoil the story as to whether she falls for him or not.
I like book 2 as much as book 1. These are as fun as a vampire story can be. This book still has a lot of telling. I would much rather hear all the world-building as told through the eyes of the characters rather than by a narrator. However, this didn't bother me too much, and I recommend it because it is a good story, and I will probably continue with the series.
Written in 3rd person omniscient, so you get to know everything that's going on with the characters, including following up with Max & Jessica. The excitement of the brethren working to save their friend Zach escalated with such excitement it kept me page turning as his condition worsened. Zach's telekinesis going haywire was an awesome way to show his deterioration, especially an evil taking over and aiming at his family.
Love scenes are hot but meaningful. I love the fated mate aspect of these, that finding their mate amplifies and complements their abilities. The Sundown Motorcycle club have some amazingly protective, caring men. I can't wait to read Bart's story.
