Miss Olivia Quinton is certain a marriage proposal is imminent, but her hopes are dashed when her gentleman admirer moves his attentions to another at a country house party. Disappointed by these turns of events and seeing the man for the fiend he is, Olivia hatches a plan of revenge. With the aid of Duke Hamlyn, she sets out to make her past love interest pay for his betrayal.
Jasper Abraham, Duke Hamlyn, did not think his Season would be taken up with helping a bedeviling chit in gaining her revenge. Everything would work out splendidly well if he hadn’t already agreed to help his friend keep Olivia away from him during the house party and remaining Season.
Thrown together with opposite goals, Jasper cannot help but wonder why anyone would overthrow the delectable, sweet Olivia Quinton. Playing her fake beau is no chore, and the more time he spends with her, the more he wants to do a lot more than flirt with the chit.
Unfortunately, when games are played, there can be only one winner, but perhaps in this folly, everyone will lose.

Jasper and Olivia what are you doing to me? This book brought the steam to the bedroom. Tamara Gill did a wonderful job with A Dukes Wild Kiss. The book had just the right amount of humor that mingled with the drama. I enjoyed how the love story of Jasper and Olivia was written. It was as though fate had brought them together. I enjoyed how the writer started out the couple’s relationship as teenagers getting to know each other. This book will melt the romantic heart and have them wanting more. I recommend this book. I voluntary reviewed this ARC after receiving a free gifted copy.
Very Enjoyable! Lest I give away the plot (which I almost did a moment ago! Thank goodness for the backspace key🙄) let me just say that I loved this story. It just hit home and kept on getting better and better. It is a bit steamy in places but this is acceptable and fits in nicely with the story. Olivia and Jasper are definitely well matched and compliment each other too. The story just flows off the pages, effortlessly and that makes it so easy to read and enjoy. I enjoyed it very much and am happy to recommend. it to you. I read an Advance Reader's Copy (ARC) of the ebook and this is my voluntary and unbiased review of it.
Revenge and secrets often get turned about and nobody comes out the winner. Such was the case when Lord Oglemoore asked his friend Jasper, Duke of Hamlyn to distract Olivia. He had openly courted her last season but decided he wanted her friend more. What? Oh yes a total cad must I say.
Hamlyn was reluctant to agree, but as he got to know Olivia, she pulled him into a scheme to make Oglemoore jealous so the her friend would see him as the cad he was... A double whammy? But the best laid plans seemed to draw Hamlyn into an attraction to Olivia, he could not overcome. Of course he was not ready to marry, right?
Pretending to be attracted quickly turns into something more, but what will happen when she finds out the scheme he began for his friend? Who will come out the victor? Loved every word (oh and Jasper of course!)
Olivia is more disappointed than heartbroken and her plan for ‘revenge’ seemed lackluster. Jasper seemed to relish his part in the plot, but as these scenarios often lead to unforeseen consequences, his involvement makes for a good story. There is steamy chemistry between these characters in this fast paced book.
4.5 stars This is a tale of revenge and jealousy that was a very entertaining read. Olivia Quinton had been expecting a proposal but when she discovered the marquess had change his affections to her friend, she decided to get her revenge. Jasper Abraham, Duke of Hamlyn was not ready to marry, he was enjoying his batchelor life. Olivia and Jasper meet at a house party and so the fun begins. They are both likeable characters, not so their friends. This has some very passionate moments and a very happy ending.
Another wonderful book by Tamara Gill. Another book I did not want to put down. Another book I was smiling at the end. I know I have said this before about this author, but I really enjoy her writing style and stories. This book is about Olivia and Jasper. Olivia went to her cousin’s house party thinking she was going to get engaged to a man who has been paying her attention. At the house party the man Olivia thought was courting her, started courting her friend. This man asked his friend Jasper to keep Olivia busy and away from him. Olivia also decided to ask Jasper, to pretend he was interested in her to get the other man disappointed that he lost her. From there things heat up. Where does pretending lead to other places… it leads to fun and an enjoyable read. I received an ARC copy of this book for my honest opinion.
Spectacular! Is there anything Tamara Gill writes that isn't spectacular? "A Duke's Wild Kiss" is another hit. This is the 5th book in the Kiss the Wallflowers series. Jasper Abraham, the Duke of Hamlyn has promised his friend that he will woo and pretend to court Miss Olivia Quinton. She, on the other hand, has asked the Duke to pretend to be interested in her to make his friend jealous. Of course, things go awry and not as planned....loved, loved, loved this story.
Miss Olivia Quinton is certain a marriage proposal is imminent, but her hopes are dashed when her admirer moves his attentions to another at the Grants’ country house party & that young woman happens to be her best friend Lady Athol. Disappointed by these turns of events and seeing the man for the fiend he is, Olivia hatches a plan of revenge. With the aid of Duke Hamlyn, she sets out to make Elliott, the Marquis of Oglemoore (love the name) pay. Jasper Abraham, Duke Hamlyn, is quite happy being a bachelor but when his friend Elliott asks him to pursue Olivia to free Elliott to spend time with Athol he reluctantly agrees but then Olivia asks him to help her enact revenge on Elliott. Everything is then set for an enthralling read. I loved everything about this book, the characters are vividly portrayed & the pace flows effortlessly. I loved the chemistry between Jasper & Olivia & the road to their HEA made for a fun, entertaining read, which I read in a sitting as it was just too good to put down, so yet again I read until the early hours. I also loved that characters from previous books made cameo appearances. Another lovely addition to the series My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
Quick fluffy read. Nothing very deep. Cute romance. Some glaring inconsistencies but not enough to detract from enjoying the story.
Story - h angry that a dude who spent last year courting her now ignores her, she asks the dudes friend to help her get revenge on him... Yeah that part didn't make sense to me either.
Heroine - she's alright, at times classic debutant and at others forthright and not scared of intimacy. I don't believe she knows what the meaning of friendship is. If my girl was being hit on by a guy who threw me over, I'd tell her. Granted by the end you realize just what kind of person her friend is.
Hero- he's alright, doesn't spend much time denying his feelings or attraction. He also doesn't know what it means to be a friend - one doesn't actively dislike your friend while doing them a ridiculous favor.
There wasn't much getting to know each other - you know nothing much of either h or H including likes/dislikes. But the chemistry was there and the sex scenes well done. Overall a quick fluffy read.
In a society where one can afford to be fickle and reputations are lost in the blink of an eye, Olivia Quinton discovers that the man she thought would offer for her is pursuing her friend instead. When Duke Hamlyn takes an interest in her, she does not realise that she is being played but nevertheless devises a plan of her own to teach her past suitor a lesson. As Olivia and Jasper spend time together, the games they play are no longer make-believe, until the erstwhile suitor drops a bombshell in the middle of a ball. This story is generally well written, entertaining, and romantic and comes to a happy conclusion. I received a copy of this novel as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
I loved the chemistry between Olivia and Jasper. I disliked how Olivia's so called friend tried to throw her under the bus, for influencing her relationship to Lord Oglemoore, which wasn't true. Olivia was a true friend who was trying to help Lady Athol see what kind of person Lord Oglemoore was. The story was smooth flowing, and I finished it very fast. This is my new favorite book from Tamara Gill's book repertoire. Highly recommended to my fellow readers. I received this ARC in return for my honest review.
A Duke's Wild Kiss was an enjoyable read. I thought that Olivia and Jasper complemented each other, they had an undeniable chemistry.
Jasper, the Duke of Hamlyn is happy to play the fake beau to Olivia while she gains her revenge against his friend for making her think he would be courting her through the season. Their interactions were full of passion, and soon things that were supposed to be simple turn complicated into a tug of love versus revenge.
A Dukes Wild Kiss ,Wow.This book was great from start to finish.Very sexy and well written. Will keep u wanting to read and not put down.Well done Tamara on another Fantastic story.Look for ward to the next.
WOW, I can honestly say that I have never read a book that Tamara Gill wrote boring or uninterested. An easy to read romance, focusing on the love story with heated passion. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and without a doubt recommend it a 💯%
A wild ride into a lady's revenge that proves to be an intriguing study in how to not get caught in a trap of your own making. The twists and turns that take Olivia and Jasper down roads they never imagined. Tamara Gill has done it again with a story you won't be able to put down.
Too many inconsistencies. This author needed a better editor. Also, I did not like either main character really. Sad ending to a relatively decent series.
4.5 Easy, quick, and an enchanting read. Though in a short span of time the romance dripped in honey and tasted ever so sweet. To see a man willing to be wed and a girl verifying her value and to draw revenge against a douche bag of a player of a fellow suitor, to have experienced such a fun-witted short story so worth the read that I want to seek out other books in this series.
WOW, Tamara has done it again another great read you will not be able to put down. Miss Olivia Quinton had her hopes of a marriage proposal dashed when Elliott, Marquess Oglemoore decides to court her best friend instead. Olivia is more upset then heartbroken, both with her best friend Lady Athols and Elliott. Neither thought of her feelings but only of themselves. Elliott has asked his friend Jasper Abraham, Earl Hamlyn to play court to her so he will be free to spend all his time with Athols. What a cad. Jasper feels it is deceitful to treat her in this way. He agrees but doesn't like it. Hoping he can ease the way for her to move on. If he only knew what was to come.... The more Olivia thinks about how she was treated mad overtakes feeling hurt, and she ask Jasper to help her get even with Elliott. What a mess. Poor Jasper he is caught in the middle. As all the players go forward, some will find they have no idea what they want and hurt others on the way. Getting just what they deserve. Jasper and Olivia find that playing attracted to each other is not hard at all. There is a problem with playing games of the heart, planning revenge, and keeping secrets. Things do not always go as planned and who decides the winner and the loser. This is a very steamy fast paced book with players you will hate for their actions or lack of them. But the two most wronged will win you hearts, make you cry, laugh out loud and squirm in your seat. Its a wonderful book and I hope you get a copy to see how it all turns out. I received an ARC of this book and want to thank the Author, this is my honest opinion and am voluntarily giving it.
The plot was a mess and there were just a ton of inexcusable inaccuracies.
At one point the book mentions that the heroine is 27, but also that she has only had 2 seasons. Based on that math and without any explanation on why her seasons would have been delayed, she should only be about 20. She also lives alone (well with a companion that is literally only in one scene the whole book) and has no guardian or chaperone. The author just ignored all the social mores of the time period. At one point the heroine literally leaves a ball with the hero and openly gets in his carriage with him.
The set up for the book was very forced. The previous season the heroine was courted by a jerk who led her on only to ditch her for her friend. The problem though is that everyone seemed aware that he had courted her yet simultaneously no one seemed aware of it. The jerk starts courting the heroine's best friend and yet somehow this girl did not seem to know that he had previously led the heroine on. I tell my best friend everything, there's no way I would consider marrying a guy without having gushed about it. The whole revenge plot hinges on the fact that for no reason the heroine decides not to tell her best friend that the guy is a jerk. The best friend even asks her point blank about it and the heroine continues to hide it. It made no sense. The revenge angle gets dropped almost immediately, and it was never really all that clear of a plan to begin with.
The premise of the story is really based on a lie. The H's friend has lost interest in the h. He asks the H to pretend to court her to draw attention away from himself. He is interested in her friend. The H agrees and off we go to deception.
I truly didn't care for the h very much. She knows the H has a long time mistress but she sleeps with him anyway. Heat level 5 out of 5, descriptive and described many times. The Lords name is used several times as is crude language. If this is something you don't care for, you've been warned.
She discovers later that he has given up his mistress of many years. But, I was disappointed she didn't ask if he would take up another when they became married.
I'm surprised I didn't feel more of connection to the couple, little on romance. When the h discovers the deception between the H and his friend, she is made a laughing stock by the ton and flees London. This lasted only a few days and the H explains his feeling were real. I did enjoy the epilogue 1 year in the future.
This story ends at the 89% mark and rest is excerpt for another story. Hopefully in the first part of the story was fixed after I received ARC, because the name/title of the H was different.
No cheating, no cliffhanger, stand alone, HEA and plenty of steam. I received an advanced copy, all opinions are my own and freely given. (ljb)
What a delightful book. It is one that makes one sad, hurt, joyful and completely satisfied in a happy ending. The characters are incredible. The main lead female Olivia is smart, caring, selfless to a point and has a good head on her shoulders. Her design to make Oglemoore jealous backfired when the man she used to make Oglemoore jealous became the object of her heart mind and soul. The secondary female, Athol, was a vain undeserving creature that did not deserve Olivia's true friendship. In the end both Oglemoore and Athol spoke lies about her and hurt her. She did nothing to merit or earn their disdain. In the meantime, what started as a favor to Oglemoore intended as a lark, Jasper had agreed to spend time with Olivia and take her attention away from Oglemoore. But as fate had designed things did not work as Olivia and Jasper wanted. Because of all that went wrong the ton was aware and Olivia left London in disgrace and humiliation. What was Jasper to do when he heard of Oglemoore's treatment of Olivia? Thank goodness a happy ending was in sight but not without some hurdles. I especially enjoyed the extended epilogue. It was the icing on the cake. I highly recommend this book. You will not be disappointed.
I had stopped reading Historical Romance due to the unessecary gratuitous sex, this is no exception. A truly good, sweet story is turned in to porn. I cannot recommend! Thank you Netgalley carolintallahassee. com
A riot of unexpected feelings and steamy attraction!
Fickle friends, deception and revenge soon shift into deliciously sweet temptation and sparks of heated desire. Simmering under their budding hand of friendship, engaging dialogue, heartfelt understanding and smouldering yearnful desires, a truly wonderful tale emerges. It had me brimming with smiles, sighing in delight, shedding a tear, irrate at the selfishness of the couples supposed best friends and tingling with my accumulating want for a happily ever after for Jasper and Olivia. Desperate games rooted in distraction, deception and 'show him what he's missing' revenge, lead to Jasper being caught in the middle between helping one fickle friend, Elliot, with his desire to court the best friend of Olivia, a woman who is expecting Elliot to pay her his addresses, and giving that said woman, his support in her quest for payback. Can a game, bred from hurt and unfulfilled expectation, truly flourish from surprising chemistry and admiration into an overwhelming love destined to last a life time? Or, are they setting themselves up for nothing but heartache? I urge you to find out!! The premise may have originally clinched my desire to read A Duke's Wild Kiss but the blossoming romance and sizzling sexual tension between Jasper and Olivia, that just refused to be ignored, extinguished or abated, sealed the deal and kept me enthralled. An extremely enjoyable read that, like the rest of this series, comes highly recommended from me to you!

Ahh...The game of love can be a very tangled web indeed! As Olivia plans revenge against Lord Oglemoore with the help of Jasper Abraham, Duke Hamlyn, and her plan is working out great until feelings change and it is no longer a game in The Duke's Wild Kiss. As Olivia and Jasper realize they are playing with fire their passions start to blaze out of control. Tamara Gill has written a sigh-worthy story from beginning to end with threads of falling in love with that special someone! With amazing character chemistry that is believable and easy to relate to, from the first page and throughout I was totally captivated. Each and every character came to life and you find yourself drawn into their story. It's a romance that was pure delight, filled with delightful dialogue with intense emotions from despair and jealousy to love and ecstasy, and as Jasper and Olivia's heartwarming story unfolds with all the drama, hope, uncertainties and falling in love. I can't wait for book 6 in the Kiss the Wallflower series!
Olivia wanted to teach someone a lesson. A Lord who had flirted with and made her think Lord Oglethorpe wanted a wife! At a house party Jasper the Duke of Hamlyn was requested to keep her away from Elliott Lord Oglethorpe so he could court her friend! Jasper has a mistress in London and is not looking to marry?!! Olivia sees him as a handsome distraction to make Lord Oglethorpe jealous and requests his assistance! Basket at first thinks he's in some weird love triangle! The more time he spends with Olivia he realizes any man would be thrilled to have this sweet, passionate woman! Jasper is so taken with her he breaks away from his mistress! But Lord Oglethorpe is a petty man and he tells Olivia all! Can Olivia ever forgive Jasper as now everyone knows of her pathetic crush and she is the object of pity!? Or is she? Will Jasper realize all he has in this sweet vibrant woman?
It was a cute story and I enjoyed it. Unfortunately the author had a very repetitive word choice where I think every scene about a ball talked about it being a "crush." That and the word "chit" were used so often it started to get annoying. Usually things like this don't bother me a lot but in this case one of them seemed to happen every other page. The storyline was still sweet but not very exciting since the Hs only reason not to marry the h for the majority of the book was that he was too young to marry. This would be a line in every internal dialogue he had about her where he talked about how amazing and wonderful she was. He would get jealous when he thought of other guys courting her, talk about how they were all idiots for not snatching her up and then not snatch her up. It was a cute story but not amazing. I just finished reading an amazing regency book so I think my expectations were high after that one.
Jasper, the Duke of Hamlyn was just supposed to distract Olivia while his friend Elliott, Lord Oglemoore courted her friend Lady Athol. But Olivia asks Jasper to help her get revenge on Elliott after he raised her expectations that he would propose. I was surprised much was made about Jasper's mistress, but none about Elliott being a rake and Olivia had determined she wouldn't marry a man who was unfaithful. Olivia had never been kissed and Jasper brings her on a dangerous potentially ruinous journey with no word that he might consider offering her marriage. Jasper kept thinking the whole time he was too young to marry, so that had me thinking why was he setting Olivia up for ruin. Elliott was a fickle villain, but Jasper wasn't exactly a prince. There are sweet moments and he does redeem himself and the misunderstandings do add to the drama in this steamy Regency romance.
A Duke’s Wild Kiss is the fifth book in the Kiss the Wildflowers series. Set in Kent, 1810, with a lovely Epilogue set one year later. This is a mildly erotic historical romance that has a small dose of drama, and an enjoyable story.
A Midsummer Kiss: 4- stars A Kiss at Mistletoe: 4- stars A Kiss in Spring: 5 stars To Fall for a Kiss: 4+ stars A Duke’s Wild Kiss: 4 stars
Miss Olivia Quinton is certain a marriage proposal is imminent, but her hopes are dashed when the gentleman admirer moves his fickle attentions to her friend. Olivia hatches a plan of revenge on the gentleman which involves a Duke.
Jasper Abraham, Duke Hamlyn, did not think his Season would be taken up with helping a bedeviling chit in gaining her revenge, or making a deal with his friend to distract said chit while his friend courts the chit’s friend.
Jasper and Olivia’s attraction was fun from the start. Beginning in parallel plots of distraction and revenge, their chemistry eventually outgrew the scheming, and they genuinely develop the passion for a romance.
I highly recommend this book. I recommend this series.
