Willie was talking again. He kept his voice low. "You made me look like a coward this time and everyone thinks you're a hero. But just you wait! I'll get even with you if it's the last thing I do. Just you wait and see!"...

"What's this all about?" Gordon asked.
The policeman started the car before Uncle Josh could answer. "I'll explain," he said...

The story of Gordon, a teenage boy, who is falsely accused and how the Lord changes his life.

An interesting story with a message for young and old alike.

Makes a great continued story for children or young people's service.

A cute moral story. We watch the main character change his attitude for the better. The story includes spiritual references to God.

Best for Christian or homeschool families. Suggested for kids age 7-10.

Gordon is accused of a crime he didn't do, and now he is spending the summer on his uncle's farm in the country. He faces more challenges from his cousin who is determined to make his life miserable. In the end, Gordon realizes how much God loves him and how important it is to do right no matter how difficult it may be.

Read this one to my children before putting it in the school library. My daughter loved it so much she wants her own copy! Real life rivalry. Mr. Blueweather shows what it is to find real true happiness in life.

According to the copy I read, the story was first published in 1958. I was surprised that it wasn't older than that, from the style of writing. At first I wasn't sure I would like it, but soon I was quite taken with the story, even if it is considered juvenile fiction. Young teenager Gordon just seems to attract trouble, and life is truly unfair for him. But under the careful guidance of a neighbor, Mr. Blueweather, Gordon is introduced to Jesus Christ and learns to trust in Him and in His teachings. The plot thickens on a camping trip challenge, which totally got my attention. Twig is the name of a dog, who is part of this sweet story. Just have to say, I loved it.

this was a really cool story, and I liked it allot. it is about a teenager boy who is accused of robbing a store and sent to his mean cousins in the country quite different than his city home. his life begins to change when he meets an older man and is invited on a walk. it was very interesting. it has a good story and anyone can read it, young or old.
