Found this charmer in my airbnb and felt like i was i. A wes anderson movie every time i opened it. It goes from teaching the pieces to the Defenses and Gambits, but you kind of have to use their brief outline and move sequences to make sense of the latter. This book can lead to much deeper brain activity than a compulsory read.

His quirky passion for the game (!!!) did not fix whatever it is that makes me terrible at chess, but at least now I can read a chess puzzle...
