Greetings! I'm a passionate writer hailing from Oxford, UK, with a unique blend of experiences that have greatly influenced my work. Having resided in East Asia for five years, I draw inspiration from multiculturalism, which is beautifully woven into my sci-fi and space fantasy books set in the captivating Plan8 Alliance. Within this seven solar system galactic alliance, I delve into the exciting journeys of my characters as they traverse space and time, all against the backdrop of a diverse interstellar alliance.
One aspect that sets my books apart is the incorporation of time travel, particularly in certain series where characters venture through portals and navigate the twists and turns of different eras. The Plan8 Alliance offers a fascinating platform for me to explore this concept. I hope you find as much enjoyment in reading my books as I do in crafting them.
As I embark on a new chapter in the summer of 2023, I am excited to expand the reach of my Plan8 books beyond Kindle Unlimited and make them available widely. Currently, I am in the final stages of combining and enhancing my first two series, "Plan8 Slaves" and "Red Star," which will be published as an epic space fantasy this summer. Additionally, I'm venturing into the world of comics, bringing the Plan8 Alliance to life through visual storytelling. On Patreon, I am also creating short stories and comics for my new urban fantasy series, the Ewin Multiverse.
While my Plan8 Slaves comics are presently accessible through Kindle Unlimited Comixology, I am considering moving them to my Plan8 Alliance Patreon in the future. To further support my creative endeavors, I maintain a separate Patreon for my Ewin Multiverse and the series "Vampire in Oxford," which I look forward to dedicating more attention to once I have established my presence in the space opera and space fantasy genres.
It's worth mentioning that the "Plan8 Slaves/Firesnake" series is far from your typical space opera. It was not written with a focus on market trends, but rather to captivate readers with its eclectic mix of thrilling elements, including secret agents, crime, metaphysical and supernatural phenomena, action-packed adventures, alien invasions, and, of course, time travel. In contrast, the sequel series, "YuFu's Run," delves into the realms of space opera techno-thriller, where time portals have closed, and magic no longer flows. Furthermore, "Cyborg Assassin" does not incorporate teleportation, shape-shifting, or time travel, presenting a unique flavor within the Plan8 universe.
As I transition from being exclusive to Amazon, I am currently building a stronger following on Goodreads. This shift allows me to connect with a broader audience, and I am thrilled to share my imaginative worlds and compelling narratives with readers from all walks of life.
Thank you for your support, and I hope my books will transport you to exciting realms of wonder and adventure!
I loved this story - a high octane pursuit of an innocent family man framed for massacre of innocents. The blurb sets the scene.
Spoiler alert! With the magic gone, the RRT (Rain and River Transport) portal closed, YuFu is released from the MSS (Mayleedian Secret Service). Hoping to retire on a pension to live with his wife and children, YuFu is blackmailed into working for another five years for Tanmixan. YuFu is a highly skilled diamond fisher, a top secret profession that mines diamonds in space for a corrupt government corporate. This is dangerous job, navigating the ice rings and netting diamonds from the storms on Tushing's surface.
YuFu is unwillingly drawn into a Tanmixan corporate conspiracy when an official sends him for safe keeping a mosquito drone containing incriminating evidence of assassinations. With the evidence in his pocket, YuFu just escapes in his space ship pursued by the bad guys. Non stop page turning action from there on. An enemy to lovers romance just to spice it up.
YuFu, our reluctant hero, has a hard time trusting people, including his wife, when he is accused of killing innocent people and blowing up buildings. Of course, he did not do these actions. To find proof to establish his innocence will require trusting someone.
With the help of a cyborg, formerly trying to kill YuFu but now wanting to help him after being rescued from her powerful boss, YuFu discovers his family is safe although there is the fact of having to live the rest of his life on the run or in prison.
In the end, to borrow a cliche, our hero lives to see another day with the girl he had to trust to prove he was not a criminal.
Framed for a crime he didn't commit, our hero must figure out who to trust in order to clear his name.
This is book one of the series. No issues there
This is the start of a SF space opera series. The story is generally well written and easy to read with a well detailed setting and characters that get fleshed out as the story progresses. The plot is good, although it does lag in a few areas. Nothing major, just some of the common first book issues. Beyond that, the story is engaging and there is certainly plenty of areas to explore. And while it does not end on a cliffhanger per se, all of the issues are not resolved so it does leave you looking for the next book. Overall, a nice start and I am interested in seeing where it goes next.
The best one yet. Very little to distract you from the plot. Multiple twists and turns and another conclusion with the possibility for more. Some enemies are still out there so definitely more to come.
YuFu is a bit daft for a main character. He keeps making mistakes. I've written him as a fairly simple man compared to my female characters. Talking about men, I've changed my Amazon author profile to a man again, using a photo of me which was modified in a gender-changing app. What do you think?
The reason? 99.9% of sci-fi authors seem to be male. I mean, all my 'Also boughts' on Amazon are men. I'm so grateful to my readers who didn't judge me because I'm a woman, but it's better to blend in, isn't it? I mean, it might help me sell more books? I hate lying, but I DREAD that glass ceiling effect. I do explain in my Amazon Author Bio that I am a woman, so I am kind of deceiving and not deceiving at the same time.
How many men out there would purposely avoid a space opera or sci-fi book written by a woman? How about if she had a first degree in science and MA in linguistics? What about if she was a secret agent? (Okay, I'm letting my imagination run away with me again, now.) Hmm. It's a difficult one. Even as a child I was forced to hear the blonde head bimbo jokes from male members of my family. It made me feel so down. Hopefully my half-Chinese daughter won't be called a bimbo. At least she's not blonde.
Just a bit of honesty.
What do you think of my male picture? Link above.
My husband joked I should use a picture of an old man. It is funny, but I'm so sick of this sexist world. It's worse in the middle-east and places like India and Pakistan. Even though Chairman Mao said women hold up half the sky, confusionism is still strong and favours boys.
Dark subjects inspire me. War, slavery, terrorism, abuse, predjudism, greed, crime, cruelty, stubbornness, and the belief one way of living or thinking can be the only right way. The light side of the white triangle which casts a black shadow below? COMPASSION, ONENESS, CARE, LOVE, FAMILY, COMMUNITY, OPEN-HEARTEDNESS.
YuFu's a bit daft, but he loves his kids, like any dad should. He's little selfish and mixed up about money and family, but he is human. He has many of the Chinese beliefs about good fortune, pleasing the ancestors, and being that rich son who helped give financial comfort to his aging parents.
YuFu carries a lot of anger after discovering his wife had a love affair with his brother. Those emotional wounds are carried over from my first series, Space-Shifters of the Firesnake/YuFu's Firesnake (single character omnibus.)
If you read the first series, Noomy Foster becomes a cyborg agent in YuFu's Run. If you read the second trilogy--Red Star--Android 3333 joins us as an agent in YuFu's Run 2, too.
Unlike series 1 and 2, this third space opera techno-thriller has no working time portals or ways to teleport and shapeshift. Loose ends are tied up by the end of each YuFu's Run book, and I've been careful not to end them with cliffhangers. But once I complete and edit my new trilogy (Galactic,) I can continue working on more YuFu's Run Books. In fact, I wrote YuFu's Run 5 ages ago but never got around to editing it.
Cyborg Assassin desperately needs more books, too. I must stop jumping around between series in the future! The mind can get tired of constant killing and war, though, hence the jumping around.
A really well written, exciting and thought-provoking space opera techno-thriller. Action-packed with a myriad of twists and turns. Rayner Ye has that wonderful skill that gave my fingers a mind of their own, turning page after page, without being able to stop. Superb series opener!
A Thrilling Read! Once I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down! It's exiting and entertaining. YuFu is a really engaging character with an intriguing backstory. He's been falsely accused of the mass murder of innocent women and children and you just have to find out how he can clear his name and avoid death. This is a really fast-paced and well written book, Rayner Ye has an amazing imagination for a good story and I can't wait to read more of her stories! If you love technothrillers, then read YuFu's Run! This is an easy five star rating.
I really love space based mystery! The it is scifi but realistic. You get into the story and feel for the parties involved. It keeps you guessing at every turn. I will definitely be looking for more books from Rayner Ye!
Wow! Great imagination. Mz Ye's talent amazes me. The convergence of multiple races and technologies come together for a thrilling ride with Yufu. I can't wait to start the next book.
I could not connect with these characters. The story line had promise, but the writing is stilted and boring. It reads like the original was written in a foreign language and then badly translated into English.
A chase story that barely hung together. Characters appeared naive. Technology didn’t hold together. However I did complete the story as I was curious as to how it would conclude.
A new set of characters and poor Yufu at the top of the most wanted list. The character and world building are excellent, an like a lot of very good books, it tooka couple of chapters to really start to understand them. But worth the time. By the end of the book, I was ready for book 2. And Book 1 has a proper ending, not a "perils of Penelope" ending. Thanks Reyner
