Good wee summary of Mike Leigh's early work and the devices used. A bit of a boring text-book style, but hey, that's the style and what it was for. And you know what you're getting into when you sign up for it. As a fan of Leigh's work I appreciated the background knowledge around his early (and particularly theatrical) work.
