As the world grows more volatile with looming wars, rampant pandemics, and violence in the streets, many people are wondering, Is the end near?
YES! Jesus is coming soon! But it's wonderful news!
There is also plenty of bad news on the horizon―but not for the Christian. Jesus’ end-time agenda is to give you great hope and joy. He wants to bless you and prepare you for your destiny in these last days.
For more than 30 years, author, minister, and host of the weekly End of Days Update Joseph Morris has been awakening the Church to Jesus’ hastening return, helping believers connect the dots between Bible prophecy and current events.
In End Times Made Easy, Joseph The simple truths in this book will empower you to run your race with joy in these last days, excited to see Jesus face to face!
I have recently finished studying the Book of Revelation and this was a great complement to that study! We are all wondering what will happen in the end, more often than not we watch the evening news and see how bad things have gotten within our society, our world, and our country (in general). The sad fact of the matter is this, all was foreseen and foretold long ago, but many do not want to be bothered about a God who is deemed to be a tyrant, in the view of those who do not believe He exists. Each and every book of the Bible points toward Jesus in some way shape or form. The Gospels and epistles all point toward Jesus, who was sent to prepare our way to heaven and prepare our hearts and souls for the end times. But we are all told that not all of mankind will be accepted into heaven!
I purchased this book after watching an interview of it's author on YouTube. At the time, I was interested in the pre-, a- and post-millenial views because these end time beliefs are very divisive in the churches I've been acquainted with. Every time I hear something said on these topics, I feel I'll-equipped to voice my doubts.
Pros: This book does provide many scriptures in reference. Furthermore, I was encouraged by some of the book's ideas. For example, the author - as do others - reminded the reader that God's people were preserved through Noah's flood. He also pointed to Lot as a supporting argument to reassure the reader that we are to be removed before the escathological events espoused by end times preaching occur. Lastly, the millenial reign of Christ is thought of as an act of mercy to those who did not become believers during the church age. Be these scriptural concepts or not, I appreciated their alure.
Cons: Early on, the author hints to speaking in tongues and boldly states seeing Jesus Christ appear to him on two occasions. I think this might cause some think this legitimises the book, but to me, it makes everything else in it extremely dubious. To this day, I do not believe there is anything valid or affirming in the practice of babbling unintelligibly in church (or elsewhere) . It certainly does not have much of a seminal effect to those listening nor do I see it as a sign and confirmation of true faith.
Later in the book, the author shares a story about a prayer of thanks he offered for a woman missing several fingers. The fingers are said to have grown back instantly before several witnesses. I had already made the promise to myself to finish the book simply because I had started reading it already, unfortunately this miracle - which I don't believe - made the reading that much harder.
There is an inordinate use of the word cool, and the expression "dad" referring to God the Father, which feels all too awkward to me. This and many real world cute story-style illustrations gave the book a teenage audience tone. It trivializes an otherwise serious topic.
As for making end times theology easy, this book left me with more questions than answers. Verses quoted are not really couched in their proper context, such as whom they were spoken to, at what time and in reference to what. This is the very basis I need to gain a proper endoctrination, and the one thing most lacking throughout.
At one point, the author began a paragraph by stating what he was about to say was conjecture, but inferences seem to be everywhere throughout the writing, and more importantly, written of as "gospel truth". Do I really believe Jesus will be appearing on nightly news when He comes back? Or that He will use man-made technology in His earthly reign,? I am not even sure there is such a thing as a thousand year reign on a planet that has the mark of man's sin all over it. And don't get me started with that whole Gog and Magog thing. There are faithful saints in Asia too.
At any rate, I was looking for much more depth on the topic than someone who is convinced he'll be playing golf in the millennial times. I can't begin to describe how completely anathema that last idea sounds to me.
I may be wrong on all my criticisms. I want to keep an open mind, and that is why I still read these books. I was going to write nothing in my rating and simply move on. I hate to be negative, especially that I would rather take any morsel of truth in love, no matter how they come to me. To that end, if I can move my lazy behind, I will read on the promises of God and study the referenced scriptures for myself. That might be a better endeavor.
Reading this work is a blessing in itself. So much information brought into focus. By the end of chapter 4 I felt I could 👀 see Christ proclaiming His arrival to the world. Chapter 11, updating Revelation, sent chills up my spine. thank Father-GOD Joseph reassured the reader we have nothing to fear as long as we have faith in Jesus. Excellent book. I want the whole body of Christ to read and know what is prophesy saying to us today.
Great book. I didn't care too much for the political spin. If you alienate your readers by criticizing the "Left", they will miss the message. Jesus doesn't care what side of the aisle you are on so neither should we. I personally am not a leftist, but I feel like the message got lost when the author became political. However, I am way more knowledgeable about end time prophecy and I am anxiously awaiting Jesus' return.
very helpful read on the end times that are very obviously upon us. helps to soothe the mind and empowers believers. listening to his sermon live and in person was definitely better than the book though.
This book was a delight to read - I cried, laughed, and best of all, I look forward to what lies ahead for the believer and am inspired to make every moment count right now.
This book is excellent!!! Love his sense of humour. He clearly delineates a great many details from Scripture to explain it all. Although I do not agree with him on a couple of points, the book is unputdownable!!! It fans the flames of your heart; it encourages you to stand up and be counted; it urges you to use the authority Jesus gave us to be and do His work, His way, here and now. It's exciting to be reminded of all the Scriptures have to say about us and the times, and our roles, and God's purpose in it all. Highly recommend it to every single person!!! It has vital information for you in here! Don't miss it. I received it as a free copy. Very grateful. Will refer to it every time I need a pick-me-up reminder of what am here to be and do.
I liked the simplistic lay out of this book but that also left me feeling like clarity wasn’t sufficiently offered on some of the tenets it proposes. The purpose seems to be end times encouragement and it definitely meets that purpose.
