A true slice of creativity!

This is the story of Shaerlyn, a guardian angel wielding, flaming sword. She is tired of the war waging-destructive mindset of humankind and living her life in solitude for more than two hundred years. The immortal angel who was once guarded Eden is summoned once again by her King, for a new mission. A child will be born on the Earth, but his very own existence is threatened by demons. Shaerlyn is consumed by self-doubt because its been years that she touched her own sword. But she will do anything for HIM. She is determined to save this newborn. The path awaiting for Shaerlyn is not at all what she expected. The demons grew stronger than ever in her absence and she must find her courage and devotion to win over them.

The story presents an iconic protagonist Shaerlyn, the guardian angel in her astounding character. Although the author crafted all main characters as divine godly angels, they all have elements of human nature in their minds. They all are fighting because they want to prove their worthiness. They are fearing their impending fall if they lose a battle. So all battles are a do or die for them. The narration of fierce battles between angels and demons along with the wars in the Earth are breathtaking. The story kept me on the edge of the seat all the time. This is a perfectly crafted thriller in that sense.

The one idea that remains beyond this story is the catastrophic nature of wars. The history of mankind is inseparable from the history of wars. But these wars will ultimately lead humanity into the impending doom.

Must Read

Great book about living on power above oneself. Never thought I would enjoy reading this genre and now not putting my book down. Looking out for book 2

I enjoyed this book. The prologue pulls you in swiftly, the scene vivid in my eyes as it matches so many of the memoirs and historical fiction I have read. The first chapter seems to entwine the mythologies of many cultures, but then begins a very Christian focus.

My favorite part of the book, and really what kept my interest high, was the melding of so many myths and questions. About half way through the story, for example, we learn it was HE who deemed that Venus and Mars would no longer be available for human expansion. Another example would be how the Tree of Life is referenced throughout, but also the Tree of Knowledge and Tree of Life in Eden.

Because the book is centered on Angels, Demons, and Imps, this book might not be accepted for all public school libraries. It does have battles, but no extreme graphic descriptions. There is no foul language. I would let any of my children read the book if they are interested. I believe the second book in this series, The Lord’s Archer, is due out in October 2020
