This was a short quick read that was ok. The book had a few inconsistencies in it that kind of threw me off. Mark finds Gale in a small cabin when goes looking for little Peter he also finds out that Gale is his true mate. Gale is a very pregnant omega on the run from his abusive alpha. With the young pup still missing , the two set out to find the pup stress has the omega going into birth shortly after finding the pup. This was my first time reading this author and this is the first book in a new series to me. While this book did have some inconsistencies and it was short. I am looking forward to reading the next book.

This reads more like the opening chapters of a book than a complete story. And it's short and ends at 76%
It refers to the alpha of the pack and his male partner then when talking to one of their cubs they mention a "mother". Twice. And the lead changes his name from Mark to Devon briefly. All in all a very disappointing read

I need to stop reading books from Amazon Kindle that they recommend to me. I had a 45-minute lunch break and thought I could finish this off as it was flash fiction at 51 pages (actually 35 pages!). Boy was I wrong and so disappointed, both by this story and by Amazon for this pile of shit that calls itself a book. (I will also be reviewing others in this series because when I downloaded it, it came as a complete box set where one "book" moves right into the next and I have OCD which makes me finish something I started even if I don't like it).
Wow okay...I know that a lot of people got on the let's self-publish smut in short brainless format for a few quick bucks but at least some of them read like they finished middle school English, this author does not. I've read better fan fiction from teenagers that's better than this. If they had taken even half an hour to reread what they wrote they could have seen how bad it was and made it better in plot, structure, and characterization (MC 1 a walking dick, MC 2 a walking hole there is no real character traits than that and zero character growth). And I even got the re-edited rereleased version? The amount of inconstancies is jarring even for how short this is. It took me almost a day to read this because I kept putting it down every other page with the urge to bang my head against a wall. 90% of this book takes place in a few hours and the last bit is over a month of HEA wrapped up in 2 to 3 pages with sex. Let's go over this book from the blurb given (in bold) plus extra thoughts.

Okay interesting, you have my attention. We get introduced to 2 out of the 3 right away which is nice and we can guess the third from dilogue so no mystery.
If there was such thing as a "by the book werewolf," Mark was it. But when he sets off alone into a dangerous storm to find a missing cub, what Mark finds will challenge his assumptions, his rules, and the future he's planned for himself. Will Mark put it all on the line for an omega who, by right, isn't his to claim?
So main character number 1 is our Alpha Mark a "by the book werewolf,"...really? What makes him so besides the fact that he is a werewolf and an Alpha and we can presume attractive? Yes, the first sentence of a reworked blurb in the book says that he is "steadfast, organized, and loyal," two of those three descriptions will be proven false shortly... so we are going to ignore the very very slightly reworked blurb in favor of the one presented to sell the book. So he's a bit more self-controlled...as opposed to what? And he likes being his brother's (be very careful to note names since some are only a few extra letters long) second even though Alpha should all want to have a pack of their own...So most packs should be a leader, his breeder (seriously Omegas just be thinking about having and popping out babies every 10/11 months) and their workers, betas, and yet the 2 packs we'll see in this series have any Alphas content to just hang around? Cool cool moving on.
Etra note: What timeline does this take place and what universe does this take place in? All the clothing and some of the housing sounds primitive but they have electricity? (Do they have heating?) They live in a place of cold and wet and bad winters and know it enough to be prepared with firewood and safe walking travel if needed but clothes that would get anyone killed in short order in their location. Has the author never been outside in the cold and snow? Anyway, enough of the side rant.
Mark is asked by his 'frantic' pregnant brother's mate to find his missing son Peter because a bad storm is blowing in. But in all his frantic worry he only asks Mark, not the rest of the pack Alpha's or his Alpha mate, head of the pack, father of said son...I guess he's really worried. (See above notes about clothes and inconstancies) Mark grabs a regular backpack "go bag" (this is an issue for them but they have no interest in fixing it, and have you ever tried to put a backpack on a dog...not happening you need a special pack. I guess the author doesn't have a dog or seen a service animal) and shifts and takes off...only to shift back naked later and have to put on clothes and then take them off to shift again because they can't shift with clothes on...so he was out in the freezing cold naked all day OR nearly hurt himself shifting with clothes on but it's not mentioned? How does the backpack stay on when he shifts because they can't shift with clothes on and he can't put it on when he's shifted without hands? And he contradicts his controlled nature by admitting he loves to run about in dangerous storms for the thrill. No clue, moving on or I'll use up all of the review space on the first 3 pages.
As he starts off he wonders what it would be like to have a kid and mate although he has never felt excited about anyone in his pack and the neighboring packs (that will be important later) so that he can do things the proper way...which is...I am assuming constantly breeding said mate into having a busload of babies...for what purpose besides just that they like to do it who knows? But by having a mate and family he can go beyond duty and pack...wait which is it like pack (whatever that means) or not like pack? (all this in 1 paragraph by the way).
Mark is hoping to find Peter in one of the shelters they have all over their territory. When he gets to one the door is partly open...why? (If I were hiding which is what our second MC is doing we'll see in a second and you are almost naked and it's freezing you close the door to the shelter you are in) Naked inside with possibly no windows it's cold because if Peter is here is too dumb enough to start a fire with all the necessary things he needs to do so sitting there waiting. (Okay so you have explained that you live in a place that has bad stormy cold wet winters and you showed all the kids to find the shelter which is stocked for emergency storms and live in only slightly better accommodations normally and you don't know to/how to start a fire? Our hideaway Omega is on the same level of stupidity too just see above and a few sentences back.
No Peter in the shelter but there is someone else. Let's meet our second MC Gale. Mark is slow on the uptake that Gale is not Peter until he smells blood and cinnamon (Omega) and instantly thinks 'mine' and gets all hot and bothered. Gale is independent for all of 2 seconds before turning into a doormat for almost the rest of the book. For someone who is hinted at being traumatized but some hinted at and some 'shown' terrible domestic violence he's pretty chill about taking up and wanting to snuggle up with a random naked dude.

oh man.. this was really good... my only complaint is its too short.. lol but overall iloved these characters.. this plot was good.. and the writing was different and fun. i enjoyed it a lot and am glad i got to read it

I would have like this installment to be longer. More world and character building. It feels unfinished. Hopefully book 2 will be better.

Short and needs editing. Mark is called by another name at least twice in the few pages this story lasts. The plot could have been developed more. Didn’t care much for it.

If the author ever decided to expand the story, especially before the MCs meet, maybe giving the reader a glimpse into how badly Jeff treated Gale (plus the escape scene) and scenes of how lonely Mark is (yearning for a connection like Bertrand and Donovan have) then this could be a really great story.
I actually liked that it had an edge; it's got a pretty good fight scene with a graphic death - so showing Gale's struggles, how awful Jeff was, l in general and how their pack dynamics lead to the way omegas were treated as property, definitely fits the tone.
Also, having it looked over for errors by a Beta reader (if not a professional editor) would not go remiss.

The story was okay for what it was. An extremely short m-preg shifter story. The problem for me with this story was there was no time for a true romance to develop. Also, the story was even shorter than I thought it was going to be since it ended 75% in and the rest was excerpts. The jury is still out on whether or not I read any more in this series.

Didn't realize I was going to get more like a taste than a full fleshed story, so I was surprised when it just ended and then moved on to a lengthy chapter one of book 2.

Good once you get passed the inconsistencies
I liked the story. The inconsistencies though were very annoying. Mark's brother is mated to a male but when Mark talks to Peter he says his mom is worried, character's names got changed in one sentence and then back in the other, I kept asking myself who Devon and Marcus were when the MC's names were Mark and Gale. Then, how is it that Mark (who lives in that territory) could barely lead his way back to the cabin and ran into the wall face first but Jeff who's never been there walks right up on it? On the plus side little Peter was adorable and the chemistry between the main characters was nice. It had the makings of a good story just needed proofreading.

This was my first experience with this author and to be honest it might be my last. I was not overly impressed with this story. It was too short to get any good worldbuilding or to flesh out the characters. The whole read, which was even shorter than the # of pages it says it is due to having a glimpse of book 2 at the end of this one, was choppy and hectic.
It’s sad because based on the blurb I thought this would be a fun and entertaining short story.

This short story is action packed. Compounded by a blizzard steadily escalating in its ferocity. A small Wolf pack is hunkering down for a storm, but a missing cub causes the Alpha to go in search of the precocious boy. Fear for a young life compels him. The impending rapid snow fall and gale force winds a danger the cub couldn't survive.
A cabin on the outskirts of pack grounds is his destination - with the hope that the youngster had made his way there. But who the Alpha finds is initially so distracting - he momentarily forgets about the missing cub. The sight of him was horrifying, but the smell was cloying - his destined mate! From that moment the surprises keep occurring. Despite having only 489 locations so much happens. Quinn Michaels keeps you reading. You want to know what happens next. This is my first story by Quinn Michaels, but I already bought the next in the Line Creek Lake Den series.
The snow outside matches my current weather. It's the perfect backdrop. It aids in the rising the tension and making the return to the pack homes impossible, as well as hampering locating the cub. But the Alpha needs help for the Omega he's found in the worse condition possible to be stranded in a blizzard. I really enjoyed this unexpected gem.

Dropping my rating because I found out this book is 41 pages because it isn’t a book, it’s a extended prolog for the next book. This explains almost everything wrong with it. Why Jeff (the bad guy) is given more characterization then the leads, why Jeff’s abuse is highlighted but not engaged with, why the sex scene which should be the collimating moment for our leads is rushed to the point where things do not make physical sense and the fight with Jeff took most of the book. Why Jeff was a powerful and nearly deadly foe even though he was so alcoholic it messed up his healing. Why there’s no talk about if Mark is Alpha of Jeff’s pack at the end. It even explains why Mark is call Devon in two places. In other reviews there’s mention of the omega being called “mom/mother” that has been fixed my version, but Mark still gets called Devon.

This book is so much the beginning of Devon’s story and the reason for his motivation that someone fixed the gendering issues with the omega, but didn’t bother fixing the main charter’s name.

Alpha wolf Mark is out in a snowstorm looking for a cub who is missing. When he arrives at one of the emergency shelters and finds the door ajar, he assumes little Peter is hiding in the dark. Instead of Peter, he finds an emaciated and very pregnant Omega. After trying to assure him that he is safe, he tells Gale that he is his true mate. Gale is damaged and the alpha that impregnated him is hunting him down. Gale informs Mark that he saw a cub and leads him to the area in the middle of the snow storm. Peter was in wolf form trying to help a dog with an injured leg. Instead of returning to the lodge they have to go back to the shelter because Gale is in labor, which is hard on males. They have no phone service and as they ready to birth, Mark has a fight to the death with the alpha who "owns" him. Who is going to survive this fight in a small cabin, or will they all lose their lives, including the yet to be born cub?

Short prequel to new series
It’s very short, but it captured my interest as an introduction to a new series. Even though it was brief it is a very promising start. We have shifters who act like shifters (and not just talk about it), mpreg, true mates (yeah I know but I love that stuff), pups and Omegas. Normally I need much more and I don’t buy such short works, but the next book is longer. I will watch for world and character building in that one. I really liked the story and look forward to reading a new to me author.

Uhhhh... ok. I did sort of like this, so I'm rounding my 2.5 stars up to three (well, lol, I *always* round up, because I'm not an asshole 🤣)... but honestly, this was like a draft or an amateur writer with some good ideas but not yet the ability to round them out into a truly satisfying story. I really loved the elements of it, though, and would have loved a full, fleshed-out novel with this premise. (But nothing here to make me want to continue the series or check out future works by this author at the moment.)

This could have been a good story. I liked the premise but though this is a short story it felt rushed. There were spots where names were wrong and were sentences didn't makes sense. Also I love mpreg but I despise it when the omega is referred to as " the mother" or "mommy". It ticks me off. He's a man not a woman! The story ends at 75% smh. Anyway, I'm not sure if I will read the other books in this series.

This is the first time I have read a book by this author and was very pleasantly surprised at how well the book was written, and I have to admit that I really enjoyed reading this interesting, enjoyable omega werewolf romance, there was just enough drama, suspense, intrigue and erotic scenes to keep the book interesting. The pace is steady, and the characters have personality. I would recommend this book to fans who like to read Mpreg Omega Werewolf Romance.

Simplistic paranormal mm "romance" adventure. Hero werewolf Mark (also referred to twice as Devon and once as Marcus) rescues a lost pup and a pregnant omega. He has to fight off a cartoonishly evil alpha with the help of the other two. Interesting but needs work
This was a quick and dirty omegaverse story. The author tells you up front it's a quick and dirty one. The storyline itself was well done and I liked the more unusual omega lore in the story. This was the first one I've read where the omega only self-lubricates when he is in heat.
My biggest problem with this is the lack of decent editing. Names changed mid-paragraph. Characters made decisions that were out of character for them.

Short and quick to read but really good
I love a good MPreg book. This looked good and was short enough for the hour or so I had. And it was a good story. I definitely would have liked more detail and more relationship development but for a short story it was really good. I'll definitely check out the second book.

Just no
This book is going in my worthless collection. I wish I hadn't paid the $.99. I know it was a really short read, but I only bought it because I was really interested in book 3 and wanted to start from the beginning. Now I'm definitely not going to buy any more. Just a really poorly written story.

This was not for me. The point of view was detached from the characters and the book was very short. The result is cardboard cut-out characters and a predictable plot with no personality, no charm, and no real romance. We learn next to nothing about the characters, their lives, or their world, but the author wrote something you can read in 10 minutes, so…yay?

So short. This story, besides running very quickly through the motions, could have had a lot more going for it. Not really any time to get to know the characters.

Quick read
I really like short reads sometimes, you get all the juicy bits compressed together. Omega escapes cruel Alpha, his true mate finds him, Alpha fights Alpha. Then they live happily ever after.
