Enso: the Enduring Power of Love

Rate this book
An inspirational novel about the incredible power of the human heart, about our ingenious abilities to understand the people and the world around us and the most common mistakes we make on the way to a happy life.

After her mother's death, Po closes all doors to the outside world, which are already scarce in her life. Exactly at the moment when she needs salvation, an old man enters her life. Denver is a descendant of an ancient discipline, which, according to the legend, can make a man immortal. However, he has one more goal... To entice her to go on a journey with him, Denver promises to help Po find the elixir which returns eyesight. On that journey, she begins to reveal one of the greatest mysteries of mankind. People who are able to see with their physical eyes are actually blind! Among the great changes that close her frightened body even more in its shell, a voice emerges and she starts talking with it. That voice follows her in almost every situation and, through the ancient discipline, she discovers what it is and exactly what it means. Disappointed by the refusal of one of the healers in the mountains of Tibet, she falls into despair, not knowing that she still didn’t learn how to recognize real help. While she is desperate, the old man reveals to her the first steps in following the ancient discipline, which, in fact, aims to perceive the world through ones inner self. Through this experience, the heroine doesn’t even anticipate that she will soon encounter a confirmation of the hidden potentials of her own body. Her inner vision slowly becomes even more important than the desire to restore the eyesight of her physical eyes...

ENSO is a world of freedom, bamboo forests, high peaks and mountain lakes, ancient villages and enlightened people who know the wisdom of the world as if it were their own possession, internal. Despite the fact that the heroine in this story is blind, her world is filled with sunlight, the sounds of lakes and rivers, the wind, the scents of plants and the bright colours of China and Tibet. The strange journey undertaken by our main heroes, Denver and Po, actually reveals the mysterious journey of every man, his internal workings and his relationships with other humans, nature itself, the universe…

Hello and welcome to my author page! Whether you’ve read my books before, are thinking of trying one out or just landed here by fate, it’s great to see you!

I am a novelist from Montenegro, an avid reader and a passionate writer with the masters' degrees in philosophy and psychotherapy. With all my love for writing, I hope to see my romantic/mystery novel "ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT LOVE" and my thriller/suspense novel "THE SALVADOR DALI FORMULA" published in other languages worldwide soon.

As a lover of romance novels, good psychological thrillers, metaphysics, art and philosophy of ancient cultures every year I spend a few months in various countries, most often it is the UK, trying to remember every street, bookstore, house with an unusual door or riverside cottage, explore a park or forest on the shores of Cornwall, feel the height of the white cliffs of Beach Head, or walk the corridors of centuries-old castles. Apart from imagining interesting heroes, putting my next story to one of the most mysterious places I've ever visited is just as interesting. The rest of the year, I make plans for faraway destinations looking for undiscovered wisdom of ancient teachings that fill my writer's spirit with new uncertainty and inspiration.

I live with my husband and two children on the coast of the beautiful Adriatic Sea in an apartment with a view of the beach, rains, storms, and red sunsets. Outside of travel and hours spent crafting heartbreaker heroes and secret codes, you can find me in the kitchen, on the couch, or at the swimming pool.

'Enso' is a beautifully written book that tells the story of a blind woman, which you don't see in many books, who embarks on a journey to gain knowledge and restore her sight. When reading the book you get to explore the philosophy of humans. It's a fun read and gives inspiration to the reader and my interpretation of this story is that no matter what, you can find confidence within yourself and not be ashamed of a disability - own it instead. I would recommend 'Enso' to anyone who needs an inspirational or light read.

Bland with Poor Formatting

Bad formatting makes this pedestrian tale a challenge to read. It is the usual Buddhist style fable about the power of love. The blind the blind to discover the ultimate truth. Bland it has nothing new to say nor is the story told in a compelling manner. Pass.
