I finished reading Wrong Guy, Right Room three evenings ago. I’m still vacillating on my rating while I write this review, even though I was drawn into the story by four characters’ points of view.
Kaitlyn, “Don’t call me Katie,” finds herself in lockdown in a hotel room with her college ex, Luke, two days before her wedding. “Thank goodness,” I said aloud. At least Katie won’t end up marrying her despicable fiancé as long as she’s still in love with Luke and vice versa. If so, they’ll live their happily ever after together. But wait … if Katie and Luke were “real” people and my friends, I would definitely suggest couples therapy ASAP to learn basic communication skills.
I loved Luke and Katie’s drag queen brother, Noah, and his partner, and Luke’s feisty sister, Mia. Katie’s character was too naïve for my taste, but she was sweet, loyal, and kindhearted.
In enjoyed the storyline, the unique setting, and loved to hate Katie’s fiancé. I read this book as part of a book club and recommend it if you’re up for a somewhat stressful roller-coaster ride, especially near the end of this romantic comedy.
