Entretenida, me gustó.

2 Estrellas!

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

Ellie is a bit of a recluse and a bestselling author who works from home but her peace and quiet is coming to an end with the arrival of her new neighbour. Checking her peephole she is curious to find out if there is a family moving in and hoping that if there is that they don’t destroy the peace she craves. So when she meets Ashton and discovers that he is her new neighbour she soon has the idea for her next book boyfriend, but when she hears nothing but banging coming from next door and a blonde leaving his place every day she wonders could the man who has become her muse and writing inspiration be a player?

Ashton meets his new neighbour when she literally bumps in to her on moving day and she intrigues him, he is used to women who would never be caught dead looking anything but perfect so Ellie is a welcome change in her sweatpants and pink fluffy Uggs. So when she knocks on his door with the to ask him to stop banging his housekeeper he can’t help but be amused with her assumptions she has made, but there is something about this woman that is different than he has ever felt before and although he is new in town he knows he wants more of her and they embark on a friends with benefits relationship. Can these two avoid the feelings that they already feel and is fate about to throw these two another curve ball?

I loved this book it has everything including the kitchen sink in it, there was misunderstandings, flirting and a whole lot of steam and not from broken pipes. If you like a light hearted read with humour then really you need to stop your search here. 4.2* Read.

3.5 ⭐

Pretty fast pace and some steamy moments.

Aston is Ellies new neighbor and shes alittle shy when she first meets him, but thinks nothing of it since she has to work on her book, but one day she hears Banging on her wall thinking her new neighbor is well hanging someone, trying to see who this person is has her annoyed because it happens alot. And shes tired of being nice.  As for Aston he isn't doing what Ellies thinks so when Ellies confronts him he shows her the noise loud pipes, and makes a deal with his neighbor be love buddies. (Had to censor lol)

And it works for abit but both want more. And get another shock when it comes to work.

No ow/om drama, No cheating, sexy times, no virgins

Quick(ish) Review

This was another novella I tried to get into but I think I accept that it’s just not for me. The romance was sweet but I struggled to remember anything without reading the blurb, so…yeah. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It was predictable to me but in a good way. It was just a feel good story that I thoroughly enjoyed. There were funny and cute moments throughout. It was short but didn't feel rushed. I didn't feel like I was cheated. Writers, editors, and happily ever afters? All good!

This was a funny sweet book. Ellie is a romance author who is a bit of a recluse. She hears a new neighbor moving in and goes to her peephole to see if she can get a glimpse of them. She doesn’t see who it is but sees nice furniture that an older couple may have, at least it’s not a single rowdy guy or someone with kids. She needs her quiet to write. Thinking to get her mail as an excuse to see if she can see her new neighbor, she’s shocked when she opens the door and a very handsome man is blocking her doorway. He introduces himself and she’s a stuttering mess, she quickly darts away. For a while Ashton sees shadows under her door like someone’s walking by, it’s Ellie spying on him through her peephole as he comes and goes. She continues her writing until she starts to hear a rhythmic banging. Investigating, she realizes it’s coming from her bedroom, which shares a wall which Ashton’s bedroom. She’s annoyed and intrigued, who is he banging? She continues to try and catch the lucky woman but never sees anyone. One day she sees a woman going into his apartment, and thinks that’s his girlfriend. When the banging happens a few to many times she can’t take it and storms over to his place, the woman answers the door and tells her she’ll get him. He pays her as she leaves. Ellie is surprised, is he paying a hooker? What’s going on. He explains it’s the plumbing making the noice and the woman is not a hooker but his housekeeper. The two share a laugh, he invites her to stay for dinner where they talk about all sorts of things. They one day decide to have a friends with benefits agreement. The sex is amazing and they both are starting to have real feelings for one another. All the great sex and feelings have been a great muse for Ellie’s writing, she pretty much writes her and Ashton’s relationship but adds love, marriage, and babies. When she goes to meet her new editor she’s surprised it’s Ashton. And even more so when she remembers she sent him all the pages including the love, marriage, and babies. It’s ok because he loves her too. Cute epilogue one year later with her book a best seller and a baby on the way.

The Sooner An Author Can Create A Connect With Their Readers, No Matter How Remote Through The Characters They Develop That Is The Instant The Readers Feel They Are In A Comfortable Zone As They See A Glimpse Or Even A Reflection Of Themselves In Any Character Brings Them Into A Snuggly Comfort Zone Because That Is When The Reader And The Author Find Themselves On The Same Page.
For Some Authors It Takes Several Books To Reach That Zone While Others Get There Far More Swiftly With Almost Little Or No Effort.
Normally, When Such A Mutual Trust Develops Usually The Reader Is Eager To Grab More Of The Same Author To Ensure That They Can Expect Consistency From The Author Which Results In More Books Of That Writer Find A Place On Their To Be Read Books Shelf.
But In My Case When It Came To Author Megan Wade Even Before I Had Completed Just A Few Chapters Of Sheets & Giggles I Had Actually Downloaded Her Next Read Quilts & Chuckles And By The Time I Had Actually Wrapped Up My Maiden Read From Megan Wade I Could No Longer Resist The Temptation To Begin A New Series Almost Simultaneously By Having Her Book #1 Marshmallow From The Sweet Curves Series Also On My #TBR Bookshelf. Something That Almost Never Happens To Often.
That’s The Magic Spell Megan Wade Spun Around Me Barely A Few Chapters Inside Her Sheets And Giggles That Made A Cosy And Comfortable Connect With The Lead Protagonists Ellie & Ashton Who Are Next Door Neighbours But A Series Comic Errors Escalates Them Onto A Different Level.
Ellie A Work At Home Author Who Has Carved Herself A Niche As A Mushy Bestselling Author Bumps Into Ashton And Even Before He Can Join His New Office Things Move Into Top Gear And How. Almost Like Ellie Is Living Out The Plot Of Her Next Bestseller.
Once Again Megan Wade Reflects The Power Of Love And How It Can Defeat All Odds. Leaving The Readers With A Niggling Doubt As To How Much Of Herself Has Author Megan Wade Revealed Through Ellie?

Megan Wade has written a 5-star book. Ellie is an author and works from home. She is trying to work and she hears a noise out in the hallway. She looks out her peephole and sees that someone is moving into the apartment across the hall from her. She keeps looking to see if she can find out who it is if it is a family with kids of someone single. Her view is blocked and she decides to go and get her mail and get a better look. When she opens her door, she bumps into someone. The person is Ashton, her new neighbor and he said Hi. She said Hi back. They tell each other their names. Ellie and Ashton seem to hit it off after Ellie goes over to complain about the wall-banging. Ashton tells her it is the wall-banging but his water pipes that is making the noise she hears. She ends up having dinner with Ashton and this brings them together. The end up sleeping together the whole weekend. On Monday morning both have meetings they need to get to. Ashton is the new editor at the publishing company that has Ellie books. When Ellie gets to her publisher, she is taken into a conference room and not kept waiting long. When the door opens in walks Ashton. They both say at the same time "What are you doing here?" " I work here," Ashton said and Ellie said, "I'm here to meet my new editor." Ashton just laughs and Ellie tells him it is not funny. She has sent him a few chapters of her new book that was based on their weekend together.
Will their personal relationship stop their professional one?
This was a wonderful read and I would recommend it to anyone.

Mr. Wallbanger really is her muse
This instalove story is about Ellie and Ashton. She is a romance writer, requiring some much-needed motivation and inspiration to complete her book. He’s her new neighbour, and her new boss (but neither of them know that at first). They do share an obvious mutual attraction, but she has a big misunderstanding about what type of guy he is, so throws any thoughts of anything happening out the window.
Ellie uses her next hot new next-door neighbour and his (supposed) shenanigans as a muse for her writing. “I have visions of a bowlegged woman named Sally swinging her way down the stairs, one foot at a time as her swollen crotch impedes her movement”. But she couldn’t be more wrong. This is a really funny and entertaining discovery – albeit embarrassing for her. Things change rather quickly between them from there. But will a one-night stand or friends-with benefits arrangement be enough for them?
This story is sweet, steamy and full of laughter and funny moments. I enjoyed some of Ellie’s inner-monologue too… “Reason 352 why Ellie should never be allowed out of the house – I don’t people well”. And just like Ellie’s work, this book is beautiful and passionate escapism. Isn’t that what we’re after, after all? And like Ashton says, “Romance novels are highly underrated”.
I enjoyed these wonderful light-hearted characters and their story. It was disappointing to see the story end. I would have loved to read more about them. I give this book four and a quarter giggly stars.

Ellie is a romance author working from home. Time passes and she gets a new neighbour, a gorgeous man with green eyes and fab abs. Ashton is a little intrigued by his neighbour she doesn't seem to go out but spies on him through the peephole. After she hears banging against the wall she starts writing an outline of a story sending it to her editor. Her editor is about to go on leave with a replacement editor starting soon. The banging in the apartment continues and she confronts him. When Ashton hears he bursts out laughing after all the banging isn't what she thinks!

This story is just so BRILLIANT 😍 the storyline is compelling and entertaining to read. The banter is HILARIOUS and as a reader who was thoroughly enjoying the story laughed out loud at the situations that arose in the story. The story is well written and fast paced instalove romance. Told from dual POVs and reveals their thoughts feelings and emotions as they explore their relationship. There is an epilogue 💓 and a HEA 💓

Ellie is in her apartment working when she hears so types of racket outside her door. As she goes to look out her peep hole, she sees someone blocking her door. Deciding to go get her mail to be noisy she runs into her new neighbor.
Ashton introduces himself as Ellie does the same. Later that day she heard a bang, bang, bang on the walls and can't take it. It certainly doesn't help her work when she hears the noise. She can't take it any longer and knocks on his door. Ashton explains it's the pipes. Ellie thought he was banging his housekeeper. Ashton wants to spend more time with her so he decided that they should be friends with benefits.
Once they both had tried that, they both wanted more.
Ashton was leaving to go work the same time Ellie was. He didn't know she was an author and he was her editer. This worked at well because the book she was writing was actually about their life just names Changed. She had a lot of titles she wanted to use but they were already used. This title was perfect. Ellie book turned out to be a best seller and their love grew to be the best eve

As the new guy in the neighborhood I have to you my neighbor is hot and down to earth, but weird she is constantly looking through her peep hole, have not seen her since move in day.
BANG BANG BANG those pipes need cleaning.

She's an author
He works for the biggest......company
She confronts him about his sexual activity only to find out she was mistaken (face beat red). She stays for dinner.
He wants her
He offers a no strings deal
Pro's and Con's
Reluctantly she accepts
From there on you need to read the book cause those pipes ain't got nothing on him

Ellie is a romance writer and a bit of a recluse who works from home. She is excited to see tall, dark, and handsome Ashton move into the apartment next door. However, shortly after he moves in she starts hearing frequent loud banging noises through her bedroom walls and assumes there is a lot of rough sex happening in his apartment. When Ellie finally confronts Ashton Will he have a satisfactory answer for all of the noise coming from his bedroom? Will Ellie want to become friends with benefits with Ashton or is there more to their relationship? How will Ellie react when she finds out Ashton’s occupation?

I enjoyed this short, fun story and give it 4.5 stars. Ellie is not very outgoing but is intrigued by her new neighbor and things progressed quickly when she finally confronted him. The epilogues were a great conclusion to their story.

Ellie Jones is a romance writer. When a new neighbor moves in, she frets over losing her quiet environment that helps her concentrate on her writing. Just as she figured, she begins to hear loud banging on the walls and makes the assumption that her new neighbor is having wild and crazy “fun”, which is way too distracting.

Ellie finally has had enough of this and confronts the man, Ashton Butler, only to find she was totally wrong. What will this embarrassing situation turn into? And what other surprises will be coming her way?

This was a cute story with likable characters. I think we can all relate in some way to that situation of making false assumptions, hopefully with a happy or funny outcome, so it makes the situation more enjoyable. The imagination is a wonderful thing and so easily goes off in envisioning the worst possible scenario. But sometimes, that leads to something wonderful!

Megan Wade has become a must read author for me and this book only adds to that distinction. Ms. Wade has a way of grabbing onto her readers from the 1st page to the last with her fantastic storytelling and world building, and that's not an easy feat in a short story. Her characters are so delightfully flawed that you can't help cheer for their happily ever after. In our crazy world today it's such a joy to be able to escape into a terrific story that leaves you feeling so good at the end. Ashton and Ellie's story is one of finding your soul mate when you least expect it and holding on like crazy. This book has everything that you could want in a story; comedy(I laughed so hard reading this book!), drama and of course hot romance (it is a Megan Wade book after all). You will be sorry if you miss this delightful gem of a book!

This was an awesome story. It was very entertaining and enjoyable with plenty of feels. The characters were interesting and relatable. I loved the peephole watching! Ellie was hilarious but also so relatable with the whole staying inside thing. Ashton was impressive and surprising. The attraction between them was immediate but with the "banging," it took a bit before anything happened. The confrontation cracked me up. Ashton and Ellie's relationship develops quickly after that. The reveal at the end was kind of what I thought it was, but so much funnier than I expected. Their happy ever after made me smile. This story is one that I will probably read over and over. I recommend reading this book.

She uses the excuse of getting her mail in hopes to catch a look at her neighbor and when she opens her door a gorgeous man is blocking her way. He introduces himself as Ashton her new neighbor. After he moves in Ellie starts hearing banging noises through her walls and goes to confront Ashton. What will Ashton’s answer be to her questions? Read and find out for yourself you won’t regret it. In Sheets & Giggles, Megan Wade outdoes herself with this fresh, super sexy, super sweet and highly entertaining curvy girl romance. Ellie, a romance writer, is having a hard time with inspiration. Until her hot new neighbour moves in across the hall. Then the banging on the wall starts, and suddenly her mind has story ideas galore as she envisions living next door to some sort of sex god. When she finds out Ashton isn't getting down and dirty with the woman Ellie sees leaving his place every day, their banter turns into a proposition: friends with benefits. Practical and quirky Ellie makes a whole pros and cons list, but even she cannot let the opportunity pass by. The results are steamy, hilarious and swoon-worthy.

Writer and Editor – great couple! This is a short and sweet story about two in the same field finding each other. This is about Ashton and Ellie. Ashton is moving into the building and right next door to Ellie and he is also the new Editor in Ellies publishing company; however, they will not meet until the next week.

Ellie is the a romance novel writer, but doesn’t go around telling everyone that in fear of being judged or commented negatively, so when she meets Ashton she tells him that she is a writer that little articles for women, but is very vague.

The story is short but straight to the point, it has a lot of laughs in it as she assumes the worst in him and realizes how wrong she is, but that is what starts their relationship. The book was great.

I really enjoyed my time reading this. My first time reading from this author! It has it’s funny moments which I love. Ellie is trying to work on some chapters for her upcoming book, but her neighbor is making lots of noise which distracts Ellie. Ellie goes to her peephole to see, but cannot due to it being blocked. She then decides to get her mail to get a better look of what’s going on. Ellie, at that moment, meets her neighbor, Ashton. Ashton explains it’s the pipes in his home that are making the noise. Ashton finding a liking in Ellie, he wants to see her again, so he suggests being friends with benefits. However, being fwb had them wanting more. Ellie had to meet with her editor, and her editor turned to be Ashton!
Will their love and career be complicated? Read to find out! To funny!

This book is great. I could not put it down once I started. It starts with Elllie getting a new neighbor Ashton in her apartment building and the misunderstandings start immediately. And boy are they some doozies. She's a writer working from home and keeps hearing banging on her wall that sounds like her neighbor is going at it with whatever woman happens to be around. When she finally confronts him it just gets more crazy with them ending up as f--- buddies because life is crazy. This book is so good I started it and simply could not put it down it is that good. The players are fun and sexy and it was just a really well written read with hot sex and beautiful love. Loved it.

I about died laughing during this book! Ellie has no control over her runaway mouth, and her thought process is hilarious! She is feisty, creative, low maintenance, and adorable. Ashton, her new neighbor, is built and strong and fun. He's also utterly captivated by his kooky neighbor. An introduction in the hallway, loud pipes, a housekeeper mistaken for more, and one angry confrontation later, is all it takes for Ellie and Ashton to be well on their way to friendship and so much more. But fate isn't finished with editor Ashton and romance author Ellie. Mixing business with pleasure has never been so unexpected or so much fun. This story is sure to fill you with giggles and grins. Happy Reading!!

What a hoot! This was a hilarious read! Ellie is a romance writer and she is having trouble with her next book. She works from home. She is a single, 30ish, sweatshirt/sweatpants, and a little quirky, Ashton is the new neighbor. Ellie has been checking out Ashton thru the peephole on her door. He feels her presence. After a few days, Ellie can’t take it anymore and goes next door pounding on the door. The banging must stop! You will be surprised. You will find this story entertaining, funny, and comical; as well as two people passionate about each other. It made me smile and laugh and feel good. I can’t wait to read it again.
