Thai Schtick - a review by Rosemary Kenny

Mike Good, aka Señor Bueno, aka Snap Schott, is having a break from his usual Maui home and haunts, to journey far afield with his new BFF Heavy Chevy, hoping to reap huge financial rewards by acquiring and selling on, a bounty of the finest marijuana - from Thailand!

Chevy's arch-Nemesis since schooldays, Dick Bigley, continually complicates matters, while the former lurches from one romantic disaster to the next.

Mike initially feels much happier, as he falls for the lovely Lily Chen, a beautiful and multi-talented investigative journalist, whose father is a high-ranking Army officer. He promises protection and support for the pal's smuggling scheme, as he hopes Mike will give Lily a loving, happy future.

Although she leaves Mike in her wake in all matters intellectual and opportunistic, he still has an innate cunning when it comes to getting himself, his lady-love and the precious cargo out of the many ensuing tight spots.
This is especially important when Mike's twin Nemeses - none other than his sister Bonnie, (a DEA trainee agent, who's hot on the trail of the drugs she's heard are bound Stateside arrives) accompanied by the infamous TV journalist Gerardo, who's like a dog with a bone, when it comes to slandering and hunting down the notorious Señor Bueno.

Multiple twists and turns in this tale of trial, tumult and triple-cross will keep you roaring with laughter, (don't forget the sanitary products, folks!) and on the edge of your seat with excitement, at Mike's many misfortunes and hilarious get-out-of-trouble hi-jinks, til you reach the very last page!

Highly recommended and worthy of 10+ stars (instead of the mere 5 available), you're guaranteed to enjoy every minute of this comedy-thriller of a rip-roaring romp, namely Thai Schtick, by the incredible Mike B. Good who's (incredibly), managed to outdo his previous glorious 'travel adventures'...a feat this reviewer deemed almost impossible, as the others were all so great.

Grab your copy as soon as possible, buckle up and enjoy the highest 'trip' yet, (then get all the others in this great series by 'Travel Guide Supremo' Mike B Good (aka Señor Bueno) to relive all nine adventures!

Another great Señor Bueno book. This time we find Mikey hooking up with Heavy Chevy! This time their adventure leads them to Thailand! Per usual Geraldo shows up hunting down Señor Bueno! This book was endless action and adventure. Mikey runs into Chinese gangsters, the Thai army, corrupt police, his old friend Dee and Dee’s smoking hot sister in law, and of course Heavy Chevy’s rival Dick Bigley! Of course, rookie DEA agent Debbie B Goode also shows up! This was another hilarious book. I recommend this book and this author!

A grand plot to grow and harvest supremely good ganja globally and hide the product with some really rank fish

Take a bunch of sales and production minded ganja farmers, key quirky personnel related to their supply and distribution chain. Add in an obsessed DEA agent, a few double jointed dancers, and some disturbingly accurately painted crazy rednecks

The wacky results push all boundaries and make great fun of pretty much everyone and everything

Love the laughs in this series!

I have enjoyed Mike Goods adventures for some time now. This one portrays the Thai character and country very well along with a great plot and the usual (if you've read any of the others in the series) cast of fools. I don't want to give too much away except to say that you will experience some deep belly laughs and some laugh till you cry moments. I would recommend this one to anyone who is not offended by the drug culture. Happy Reading :)

This book has Mike back in 1979. He is always up for a challenge in the name of philanthropy and Thailand provides numerous challenges. I always like how you get a good history and geography lessen in these adventures. This book will have you laughing along with Mike and his friends as they once again outwit some formidable opponents. I also had to laugh at how he put writing this book into the book! Grab your copy today to find out what happens this time.

Put your seat belt on and your tray tables in the upright position, it is time for another great Senor Bueno adventure! Like all the other Senor Bueno adventures, this one involves foreign lands and pot smuggling. Lots of laughs, great characters and tons of fun! This is a great story to read, especially during this depressing pandemic.I laughed so much, that I forgot about the hot weather during the Labor day weekend.
I am grateful for the ARC by the author for an objective review.

Possibly Senor Bueno's wildest travel tale yet. Wonderful landscapes, beautiful women, packed with laughs and derring-do obies . Whenever I read one of Good's tales I have to read it during the day. I laugh so much that I've woken the neighbors, cackled so loud I've sent their dog on a 2 hour barking frenzy. Truly classic material that I can see Netflix or Prime picking up. True comedy genius!

Mike B. Funny!

He never misses a beat in the latest adventures of the ganja-loving Señor Bueno and his ‘associates’. And let it not be said that Mike B does not inform: learn about the Thai countryside, politics and culture in the most entertaining way. Oh, and drug trade. Never thought you would enjoy Heroin Making 101? Well, you’d be wrong! Like all his books, this one left me chuckling and feeling lighter of spirit.

Once again a brilliant and funny look into the early life of the intrepid adventures of senior Bueno , the character portrayal is perfect with out to much stereo typing of people of foreign lands . Not only have we inept smugglers and corrupt army officals we get to meet some characters who you definitely wouldn't introduce to your granny and for once Mike gets the girl. This is again a highly recommend book in this superb series.

Mikey, Senor Bueno, is faced with the problem of sourcing three tons of pot from Thailand to the USA. Of course things are never simple when Mikey is involved and his choice of associates makes things even harder.
As well as the new characters we meet in this book, there are also some old favourites including Mikey's sister Bonnie who works for the DEA and of course Gerardo the award losing journalist who has a vendetta against Senor Bueno, eve though he isn't sure exactly who he is!
This book continues the comedy satire theme of the previous books in the series and maintains the high standard they set. A very well-written, exciting, funny story set in the magical scenery of Thailand.
I received an advance copy of this book, but have voluntarily written this honest review.

Plenty of laugh out loud self-deprecating humour in satirical drugs caper. Skewers every target,.sometimes gently, often not so. Also a brilliant informative travelogue hidden in the comic gems.
