The Devil's Bride

Rate this book
He leaned down, taking my chin in his hand, forcing me to look up into his blood-red eyes. His fangs were showing, dripping with the blood of my boyfriend who lay on the ground, lifeless.
"You are mine, Bast. You'd do well to remember that." He purred, as he licked the blood off his lips. "No other man make take your innocence, but me." he said, looking down at my nearly na.ked form, the lu.st in his eyes making me squirm.
"Yes, Damien." I whispered in response, covering myself in the sheet, and looking over at the body of Jacob with a whimper.

My name is Bast, I'm 17 years old, soon to be eighteen. On my eighteenth birthday, I will be married to the devil.

I HATE it when you are reading a book and you turn the page and you get ...”more to come”. No where did I expect it was not a completed book. That is the reason you got 2 stars.

Cliffhanger. This is not a complete book. The author has a weird setup where you get a good part of it, but then you have to purchase the updates. Weird. At least that's how she has it set up on webnovel.com. Maybe you get a complete book for the hefty Kindle price of $18.99. The copy I read had so many typos. There were plenty of sex scenes. I had a problem with the male lead having sex with the female lead before she's 18. At one point the sex gets so rough it verges on rape. The FMC giggles too much, probably because she is still 17 having sex with a vampire who was turned at the age of 32. There was one chapter where a couple of paragraphs were missing only for the next chapter to be a repeat of the previous with the missing material added back in.
I enjoyed what I read but I won't be purchasing the ebook or its sequel due to the poor quality of writing at a price that is out of line.

I really like that the author took vampires, wolves, shifters, recreants, and but them all in a book together. How Damien found her when she was just a baby and has watched over Bastet her whole life. And then when her family tried to sell her again away from Damien that he killed all those who would do harm to her because he loved her that much. There are also witches in the story who helped the couple get pregnant because vampires are not supposed to have babies. The fun part is finding out she has powers of her own and that she can tap into the baby's powers as well. Her sister is a mimic and a royal whose name is Octavia. Bastet is a vampire and a royal. But their father said that they have one more sister who is out there and they have to look for her before they come and dethrone him. But if you really think about it. He is very powerful and how can they do that if he already knew that they existed. I think he wants to kill all three of them and take their powers making him very unstoppable. And know the sisters knows that as well. There really should be a part 2 to this.

this book had me on edge the whole time! I love romance fantasy books and this one right here was so satisfying. If you love twilight then this right here is a reward ! Can’t wait for the rest of the book 🤓

Okay, l started this book on October 3 and just finished it today the 18th October. The book was on an app that only give me three chapters a day to read. So l was very frustrated about that alone. I tried to find the book somewhere else. But no one sells them he book anywhere. A 100 chapters l read only to get to the end to find out that another book needs to be written. Which l can’t find or hasn’t been written yet. I would really like to read the second book so l can know what happens to everyone. Is there anyway l can find out if there’s even going to be a second book?

I was reading this on Readict and got through 79 chapters, but I'm over it. It started out good, but the story does not flow well. Different random things are just thrown in. I was losing interest before but when the big wedding fiasco took place I was over it. I read a few more chapters, but the baby nonsense is a little too far fetched for me. I feel like the author is just thinking up random things that could happen and throwing it all into one book.

Didn’t finish because the entire book wasn’t available-only first 9 chapters. I’m sorry to say that from what I read I probably wouldn’t finish. It had an interesting premise but the execution needed a lot of work and a good editor. The fact that the story was on an app where a very long ad plays with new chapter and you have to wait each day for more chapters - this book wasn’t compelling enough for that.

My biggest issues:
- kind of felt like Damien was more a father to her and then love/lust/attraction comes quickly. Felt way more incestuous than sexy. Not for me.
- Damien doesn’t hesitate to nearly kill his new assistant because she verbally insulted Bast (not a huge insult) but leaves her parents alive and allow them to raise her even though he’s afraid they will hurt her because she “deserves to be raised by her parents” Uh. She deserves to be raised by people who love her not ones who see her only as a means to an end.
- Bast seems more focused on this guy willing to buy her (to protect her - which she learns very quickly) than her a-hole parents willing to sell her. If her discovery of Damien’s intentions had taken a little more time, her attitude might have made more sense.

As poorly written and edited as this is, I'm not sure how to review it. I found myself coming back to it, oddly enough. "The Devil's Bride" reminds me of Dr. Pimple Popper. It's entertaining for all the wrong reasons. I gave it one star because it doesn't remind me of passable fiction. "Twilight", "Cinder", and "Fifty Shades..." all lacked appropriate amounts of deconstruction between each story's main characters. "The Devil's Bride" attempts deconstruction. But it falls drastically short. Furthermore, the major plot points are rushed, and that left me feeling detached as a reader. For example, how Bast's parents sell her to Damien seems all the more confusing because readers hardly get to know the parents. Why are they so eager to sell her? What drove Bast's mother to hate her so much? Points like this are rushed.
The focus seems to be on Bast, and no one else.
Keykirita is living her bliss through this story. That's obvious, and I can appreciate that. What's hard to acknowledge is any effort the author makes to let her characters seem relatable. Sure, it's fantasy. But part of reading fantasy is letting readers escape through words. An author's task is to engage their readers. This novel does not accomplish that for me.

Written like a teen novel. To twilighty , too much non informative information to the story, repeating information over and over as new characters are introduced to the story . The sex scenes might have well just said ‘they had fast hard sex’ and gotten past it, they were disappointing considering this is labeled erotica , this was not erotic, this was quick ‘they banged ‘ scenes. Did we really need a whole chapter on picking out the babies daycare? A Few parts stuck out to me.. Bast feeling the bed where Damien had been cold .. umm, he’s a vamp , he wouldn’t warm the bed to begin with, and Octavia smoking a cigarette? Where did that come from, and why? There was absolutely no link to the vampires past and being on the earth for so long either, as if it would be too much research to find out what would have happened during their life span . Nope, born this date, turned this date , here we are..
Totally disappointing read for someone whom has already read over 90 books for the year, most getting 5 stars. My regular romance novels were definitely more erotic too.

If you can get past the spelling errors and the skipping or repeating of scenes, it’s an okay book.. the story is always evolving and there are some good enough twists in it. I read the book on the platform “Readict” but it’s only the first book on there. The writer “keykirita” has her own website where she has updates on the books and releases them there but you have to have a subscription- you have to pay monthly for access. So overall with; 1) the books being on multiple sites and not having any editing, 2)no second book or any mention of it after the first (where I had to go researching to find more info) along with 3) having to pay to her site just to get access to updates is why I give this 2 stars. It’s not worth the read & however much the wait is altogether, you can skip this book.

I was really enjoying this book and the 3 chapters a day on Readict. This was 97 chapters long but there were 3 missing. Although, I quite enjoyed this book I don’t want to spend $20 to finish this book and an additional $20 for the sequel. The writing is subpar but I enjoyed it for what it was on a free app. Huge authors do not even charge $20. It’s only an ebook. If this was completed I would give it a higher rating. But as it stands it’s 3 stars. Writing is about a 1 1/2. I enjoyed the characters though and the story even though it didn’t flow all the time.

I am upset about the cliffhanger ending. The story is not finished. I have dealt with Authors like this before and it didn't end well. The book was poorly edited several grammatical errors as well as sentence structure. I appreciate these types of book.but I just feel that something that is not finished shouldn't be made available to read, there is no guarantee the rest of the first book with be added. I am very disappointed. I will not get ducked into another one of these books from the FB app advertisement. I do love the story and I pray for some closure.

I really liked the story filled with I intrigue and twists that make you hang on every word. The character builds are well done. I was disappointed when it ended on a cliffhanger with no details on where the story could be continued. For those who are looking for it...I finally found book 2 on AnyStories: The Vampire’s kitten.

This book had REAL POTENTIAL FOR A GOOD READ. However I feel the author did too much jumping around. And then to add insult to injury rhe book is incomplete !? Horrible absolutely horrible. Character development was also poor. The story line was building up to a high finish but then author dropped the ball
Sad shame .... won’t be suggesting this book to anyone sea ts!

I got to chapter 97 and it said the end?!! No not the end what happens next? Was there another book? Did the author just give up? I loved it but I want the rest of the story. Who and where is the 3rd sister? What happens to the babies? Do they ever kill the dad? I mean come on don’t leave us hanging like this with nothing…

This is about a 250 year old vampire that falls in love with a baby girl and buys her from her parents when she is 12 years old! Ugh! He is to take her to live with him at age 18. At 17 he is trying to seduce her! How sick is this storyline? Can’t stand to read another line!
Pedophile Vampire. Wish I could give it 0 stars.

An amazing story full of different vampiric aspects, and this quickly became one of my favorite supernatural books. The story doesn't fail to grow weirder by the chapter, but I was here for every second of it.
The only downer is that the story ends on a cliffhanger and so far there still isn't a sequel (that I know of).

It's revolting. Nearly everything about this book is sickening, and illegal. Grooming, the sale of human beings, forced marriage, rape, emotional abuse, and oh so much more. Not to mention that the book is very poorly written. Don't waste your time with this crap.

What a cute story. Bast has the worst parents. Damian is great with her. I love Sinclair and Sam and Samantha, what a great side characters. I'm giving it 4 stars because I think the writer could gave it a better ending. Unless there a sequel there was to holes.

On readict, there is only 72 chapters. I absolutely love the story and hate that it isn't finished or all the chapters isn't uploaded. I'm far too curious to find out what happens.
