Attempt to trace the 'secret' knowledge of Orpheus cults in ancient Greece up to modern times.

An interesting read with references to various well-known figures of history and detailing how various ancient beliefs and documents seemingly disappear and reappear at various times from ancient Greece up to the 20th century.

Not being an historian I can't vouch for all this although some seems more plausible than others. It does make one wonder just how much 'knowledge' was lost in history through wars, cultural changes, and folks just plain forgetting or not thinking it matters.

I am always amazed when I read a book addressing SECRET Wisdom or any so called SECRET knowledge how an author can discuss at length the history of this information and never actually reveal any SECRET INFORMATION!
