This book is absolutely stunning! From the embossing on the cover of the characters by Chellie Carrol to the illustrations featured throughout the book.
I absolutely adore this story! It’s perfect for any Disney lover!
4.5 ⭐️ Wonderful art and beautiful cover design to have as a collection piece. The book is perfect to be read as a bed-time story. My only complaint is that I wish they would of added more images of the animated series and the dogs rather than line drawings but I understand the purpose behind them since its about the animation process.
First of all, I love the cover of this book. The colours evoke a sense of the opening credits of the film, which are fantastic and one of the most interesting ways to do opening credits I've seen. As for the text, it retells the film's plot well. I have a very short list of movies that I consider better or an improvement on the book they are based on, and 101 Dalmatians is on that list. I liked Dodie Smith's novel, but the movie expands the story and frankly makes both the dog and human couples more fleshed-out and compelling to follow.
