After dreaming of it for so long, Tanaka and Irie are finally a couple. Even as she relishes her modest happiness, Tanaka can't help but worry that Irie seems to enjoy talking with other people more than he does with her. A small new adventure begins for this side character, who only wishes to grow closer to her boyfriend...
A fateful reunion between childhood friends, a supportive love ❤️
This story may not be romantic but it is more about the sincerity of feelings and love.
So, I have nothing much to review but to sheer enjoy each characters and the storyline.
There is no conflict or plot, the pace also runs like their lives, it doesn't feel too slow or fast.
Every new and old character, all likeable and nice. Not to mention the drawings are too cute that make the story more wholesome.
If you want to find a story that gives you a spring feeling and sakura 🌸 or you want to fall in love with Japan, maybe you can try reading this book series.
There is always a little special chapter inserted at the end volume about the other side of the character (which i enjoyed more 🥰)
but in my opinion the drawings are a bit identical, sometimes the characters are confused because their faces are quite similar. haha
This remains to be a cute slow-burn kind of romance, but...the characters lack a certain chemistry sometimes, even with all the blushing involved. If and when they do go “the next step” in their relationship, I don’t know if it will feel right within the story because they are just so shy around each other (as I imagine many Japanese couples are at first, to be fair).
Our main characters in this volume are really cute and sweet, but that side story between their other co-workers is what I love the most in this volume!
My treat to myself at the end of the day. I don’t think the blurb about this volume was accurate…it described something that happened in the last volume, and even then it makes a bigger deal out of one small aspect of that volume than seemed accurate to me. But this volume did confirm my assumption about the names being the characters’ last names as Nobuko and Hiroki have worked their way to a first name basis.
There was a lot of unrelated-to-the-main-relationship work stuff in this volume, which I thought was fun. I’ve read other reviews by people bored or frustrated with the super slow pace of this relationship and lack of really any external drama-nearly all the tension and turmoil occurs within the characters. But I think that’s what I love so much about it.
It is so relaxing, & it has a slow pace. It's a refreshing change, as most shojo & rom-coms are fast paced, frantic even. So the slow pace of this series really is nice. Tanaka & Irie are such an adorable couple. He's such a nice guy, & she's just the cutest little thing ever. I love her big eyes. So cute! I really enjoy the style of this mangaka. The girl's eyes & noses are so cute. I see good things ahead for these two. Art, so very nice. Very pleasant looking. Simple, but not overly so. Dialogue, so nice & friendly. Characters, believable, likeable, relatable, adorable.
They ( Tanaka-San and Irie-Kun) are so adorable! I am enjoying watching them grow in their relationship! Learning to call each other by their first names and overall enjoying being with each other! They are learning so much about each and their dreams of the future. It is so cute hearing their confession about their wants in their relationship too! Maybe we get to see them move to another step in their relationship. Can’t wait to see what it might be! Off to read the next book!🥰
I would first like to mention first and foremost I'm not particularly keen on romance novels they never tickled my fancy. But this! It feels like a relationship I would have with someone. It feels like they're saying I get you to me every time I turn a page. They treat life mundane and honestly I love it. Thi entire series is incredible,it doesn't really have fan service scenes which is perfect for me (I'm Asexual) and it paints life as not scary or cruel just as life. Couldn't recommend enough Thank you Tamura-san :)
These two are just so cute!!!! They are going their own pace in their relationship. Even though it has been a month they are respecting each other. They still call each other they last name until near the end. How they went to the park with couple of their friends and had BBQ was just so adorable. The meeting of his parents went well and how she was so scary but didn't show it. They almost kissed* it is so cute!!!! I can't wait to read more....
3.5 the series is still incredibly slow burn when it comes to the two main characters which I tend to enjoy but for some reason, I am getting frustrated with the two main characters. I will keep reading this manga series since I don't have too many volumes left but it has lost the spark that I felt when I red the first 2 volumes sadly :(
This might be my favorite volume thus far! The group hangout and barbecue, both Nobuko and Hiroki finally addressing each other by name, Nobuko finally meeting Hiroki’s family, and the almost kiss at the end was all too sweet! I really loved this and I want to buy this whole series once I finish reading everything. I can’t wait to read what’s next in the 7th volume!
I really like how Irie and Tanaka, despite being awkward lil wallflowers, also assert themselves (it's assertive for them lol) enough to take their relationship at their own pace. They're so cute, and even though this feels a bit episodic at times, it's an enjoyable read. I love the coworker friend group and like that we're getting to see glimpses of their lives too.
One set of parents has been met…it was cute that Irie-kun misunderstood and told his parents about her personality rather than facts about her 🤭
Although I like the series, it’s hard to rate because it also makes me cringe and have anxiety because of their awkwardness. So it’s a conflicting feeling.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This is such a cute story but their relationship is still moving very slowly. If not for Irie, I don't think it would progress at all. Still, I am really enjoying this series and find myself reaching for the next one right away.
It was great seeing Nobuko challenge herself at the adventure park having fun with her coworkers. She got to meet Hiroki's family too and looks like an indication they might both start thinking of the future more than the general "whatever it is I know I want to be with you"
First half was filled so I wasn’t super enticed by it , but the last have was alright. I don’t know it wasn’t as enticing as the other volumes but I will continue on.
