"שאלתם את עצמכם אי־פעם אם אתם מאמינים באהבה ממבט ראשון? אני מעולם לא שאלתי וגם מעולם לא התיימרתי לגלות. חייתי בעולם שבו הלבטים הכי גדולים שלי היו כן עבודה, לא עבודה, כן בא לי להתקשר היום לבחורה הזאת, לא בא לי לחזור לבחורה ההיא. אוהב את הבוסית שלי, שונא אותה או מתעלם ממנה. כן מת לזיין אותה על השולחן בחדר הישיבות או בעמידה על מכונת הצילום במסדרון של המשרד, לא מסוגל לגעת בה עם כלב נחייה של עיוורים – עניינים רגילים ושגרתיים של כל אדם נורמלי בטווח הגילאים של עשרים עד שלושים. מעולם לא העליתי על דעתי שאעסיק את עצמי בשאלות הרות גורל, שאלות של חיים ומוות. בטח שלא שיערתי שיהיו אלה החיים או המוות שלי. בטח ובטח שלא תיארתי לעצמי שאבחר במוות. אלא שאלמלא הייתי טרוד בבחירת הדרך המועדפת למות, נראה שלעולם לא הייתי יודע אם יש דבר כזה אהבה ממבט ראשון או לא. לולא התערבותו של אל הגורלות בכבודו ובעצמו, הייתי סתם עוד אחד שלא הרגיש בחיים שלו כלום, שלא חווה את הרגע הקסום מכולם. לפתע כל סירוב שלה מתפרש כהנהון, כל פסיעה מתרחקת מתפרשת כקירוב שפתיים לכדי נשיקה. הנה מנשבת אלת הרגש והאהבה וסידור שיערה מחסיר פעימה מהלב, שבריר של חיוך הוא כל מה שאי־פעם יכולת לבקש. וכך, כשאתה לא מותיר לנשמה התועה שלמולך אלא להפנים שברגע זה ממש מאירה הלבנה על הערב הכי יפה בחייה, תבין פתאום שכל הלאווים בחייך עד כה לא היו אלא חיוכים מתחננים שידעו בסתר לבם שלא להם היא, רק לה.

דבר אחד בטוח, ולא משנה כמה יגידו לכם אחרת. מאחורי כל זָיַין מצוי, קיימת מישהי שקרעה לו את הלב."

In Dr. Seuss's book ‘Cat in the Hat’, the children are left alone at home. Being bored, they want to do something fun. But they mustn't, it is forbidden... Then who appears out of nowhere? The cat in the hat! He fulfils everything they asked for despite the fact that the fish in the jar warns the children that their mother will be very angry!

Throughout our entire lives we want and ask from the universe or from God all sorts of things. To fulfil dreams, to realize fantasies. But most of the time we are too afraid or rely on the fears of others. "But how?", "But it’s impossible", "But how many succeed??"

I was a lawyer. I Hated myself. Hated my life. I started writing totally 'by chance', as they say. A former screenwriter that studied with me in my first law degree thought that I was talented and that I should give it a try.

I wrote about thirty pages and forgot all about it. Two years later, again 'by chance' of course, I met this girl I knew years before and that was now some kind of psychic. After two minutes of small-talk she suddenly asked out of the blue - "maybe you wrote something?".

At first I said no, because I didn't even remember it, but then I told her that in fact I did. "That's your purpose in life," she immediately replied, "you'll be a great Author."

That conversation totally 'flipped me over' because there wasn't the slightest chance she could have known about it.

As time went by I completed my first novel, but no publisher wanted it. An unknown writer, not a celebrity or something like that, why should they take a chance?

But I wasn’t going to give up. And despite the fact that I was already quite respectful divorce-mediation lawyer and even taught divorce-mediation in Bar-Ilan university, I took a chair and a folding table, and sat in the middle of the main street of Tel-Aviv selling my book to passers-by, when all my surrounding thought I got fucked up in the head…

But that wasn’t the hardest part. Even though I started getting very good reviews and letters from readers in social media, I couldn't have my books be sold at bookstores because the distributors didn't want to take a chance with a self-published book.

It took as much as three years, but eventually people started asking for my book at the bookstores. Within two more years my first novel became a best-seller, and just recently I have published my fifth book.

So don't ever let anyone tell you something is not possible, and I really hope you'll enjoy my writings.

This story is definitely unique, cheeky and very bold. Told in blunt and crude language Mr. Geva gives us a glimpse into a man’s mind revealing his every dirty secrets. For some reason I cannot explain why but I was sucked into it and stayed put to the last page. The story made me laugh, cry, angry all at the same time. Maybe the philosophical elements of it made me think about my emotions and feelings…. Definitely unfiltered….

“The Knight is a Son of a Bitch” is a trip on the wild side, highly sexual and very explicit. It is said against a backdrop of Jewish spirituality and Israeli culture and takes place mainly on the beautiful and sandy beach of Isla Mujeres, Mexico.

Totally original and simply out of my comfort zone but I honestly can say not a bad read as a conclusion.

LONG LIVE THE KNIGHT

It had been a very long time since I had been caught up in a hero’s journey, captivated until the last page... It got me a bit out of breath I have to say, the rhythm is often frantic, frenetic, as it follows the quest. You definitely take a trip on the wild side, highly sexually charged, raw and real, the style is explicit, Dionysian even, poetic often, with unexpected philosophical heights, surrealist free associations, mystical impulses, all against a backdrop of Jewish spirituality and Israeli culture. Some dialogs are pure genius, they would fit amazingly in a Tarantino movie, and the hero’s streams of consciousness got me immersed into the madness of the quest...

We’re witnessing the awakening of a young guy’s heart previously shattered into pieces. We can nearly feel « it » beating, from the first encounter with Love, idealized image of « The One », as She becomes like a guiding Star on the journey, between dream and reality, through edgy sensitivity and excruciating pain, leaking and bleeding until Resurrection - isn’t it said that just like for any muscles in the body, breaking is the way a heart grows ? Only can it expand and really « know Love » after complete annihilation...

So, yes, beyond the overall rawness that reminded me of Henry Miller’s flair in his « Tropics », in the end, it’s all about Love ! Modern romanticism ? « The knight is a son of a b*tch » claims blatantly the title of the book in Hebrew, like a statement that could make some feminists cringe. I would simply add that the son of a b*tch actually has a delicate heart... The reflection on relationships, games and sex, openly shared through the male’s perspective, although quite cynical, and as politically incorrect as can be, could make « The Knight Must Die » a valuable roadmap for women in today’s crazy dating scene !

The knight’s consuming passion - for Life & Death, Highs & Comedowns, Friendship & Lust, and ultimately his Lady - isn’t a modernized version of medieval Courtly Love, yet it is just as extreme, genuine, powerful, pure and ennobling : I think the Knight should Live...

Definitely a talented author to be followed...

I rarely read books with only the hero‘s POV and it didn‘t disappoint again.
There was just so many different topics but they all kind off connected to each other if that makes sense. When reading the book there were some lines I agreed with and some lines I didn‘t agree with. And I think that lots of people are gonna feel the same way when reading the book. It‘s definitely a book that makes you start thinking about a person‘s private life and his opinions on how he views the world and humans including the desire of himself and others.

I can easily say that the author pointed out manhood and womanhood as well. This story doesn‘t only contain love, lust, opinions and society but also politics which also makes me believe that the reader‘s will have their points on agreeing and/or not agreeing with the hero in this book.

It’s all about twists, that’s why I could not stop reading till I finished the book. I think that’s the point some might have missed. If u expect a book like hundred others with a common flat story, than this book will challenge you. It’s definitely a book that will challenge and surprise your mind and all you thought you know about men and why they act how they act. And the story itself makes the book genius …. Hardly ever enjoyed,sighed and felt a book like this

Okay, I really don't know how to rate this book. The story is good, that for sure. But I was so confused during this whole story, that sometimes I just didn't know what I was reading. In the end everything became clear. So that's why I finally understood the story. But during it was so weird.
The story itself is beautiful and good, but because I was confused it wasn't my favourite read.
