Humiliated years earlier when in high school, Channa Edwards never expects to see her knight in shining armour again. In fact, she really doesn’t want to, but of course, life wants to mess with her again. It’s just by luck he doesn’t recognise her, and for a blissful moment, she thinks she’s got away with it.

That’s until another situation brings her knight back into her life.

Cody “Coyote” Marcus, son to the Hawks MC president, goes through life easily. He has a great family, a business he loves, and women if he wants them. Then, by chance, he meets a cute, bumbling baker, who doesn’t seem to want anything to do with him.

Of course, he has to change that, and make Channa see he’s worth getting to know on all levels.

The Hawks MC series has some of my most re-read books because I just love the characters so much and they never fail to put a smile on my face. So I jumped at the chance to read Coyote and get to catch up with the Hawks characters. And Cody Marcus, aka Coyote, was everything I could have hoped for.

I loved Cody and how tough he could be but that he never hid behind that tough exterior and he always showed his loving personality. He was so sweet with his mom, Zara, and the rest of his family and it was clear as day that he loved them all deeply.

And seeing him with Channa had me swooning even more over him. He was so sweet with her and they had me smiling at almost every interaction they had. Channa was the perfect fit for Cody, she was a kickass heroine and definitely fit in with the other Hawks women. She and Cody are definitely one of my favorite couples from this author now.

Channa may be only in her early twenties but she is a proud business owner of a small bakery. She works seven days a week, getting up early each morning but she loves what she does. She is focused on fulfilling the dream her and her mother first envisioned three years ago. She has never been happier in her life even though it’s busy she enjoys her downtime at home with her two precious fur babies Coco and Harley.

Channa has been through a lot so far in her young life. Her childhood was marred by having an abusive father and a few years later she had to deal with a tragic loss. Channa and her mother left their hometown to escape her toxic father and after being away for a number of years they came back.

The last person Channa expected to see in her shop one day is Cody Marcus. He used to go to her high school and on her last day there he ended up being her hero, saving her from the most humiliating experience of her life. It’s been a while since she last saw him and she is hoping he doesn’t remember that awful time in her life.

Her hope of not seeing him again so soon was not to be and fate seems to bring Cody to her door step, literally. Channa finds herself getting familiar with the local Hawk MC chapter after innocently getting involved in an incident where she ends up under their protection. Cody’s club name is Coyote and he is even better looking than Channa remembers. Cody can’t quite figure it out but he feels like he knows Channa somehow.

There is no denying that these two have immediate chemistry. After seeing each other daily, no matter how hard Channa tries to deny it to herself, she has the hots for Cody. He has never felt like this about anyone and is slowly but patiently taking time to get to know Channa - and of course woo her.

While something sweet grows between them, there are plenty of other characters that really add to this fast paced story - Cody’s nosy family who are excited that he has met someone, Channa’s awesome work family who are very protective of her, some bad dudes who like causing trouble for Hawk MC and a couple of other bad eggs with their own agenda.

This is the second series set in the Hawk MC world but the first in a new series and the first one I have read. I really enjoyed the slow burn between Cody and Channa and look forward to hearing more about them in future books in this series.

It's been such a long time since I've picked up a MC book that I honestly thought I would be rolling my eyes the entire time...but I was surprised when I was engaged in this 100% even to the point of sneaking my phone and reading during work. :-) *shhhh*

From the very beginning, I ABSOLUTELY loved Channa! She is klutzy, she is hilarious, and she is one BADASS!! Her and Coyote (Cody) just mesh so perfectly together even with all the obstacles they have to overcome in order to have their happily ever after.

I am so happy that I took a chance on this one and I will be reading the rest of this series!

It was ridiculous. All the MC cliches, the dialogue, the absurd characters and their actions.. I rolled my eyes and cringed more times than I can count.

Therefore, I can sum up this story in one word: ridiculous.

Finally another HAWSK MC book… And bonus it’s the next generation 😊
I tried to drag this one as long as possible. But it didn’t work. Read it in one go… Dammit 😊

I loved Channa. I loved that even though she was cute and sweet and shy and she was a baker, she could kick some *ss…. Loved it. So you just know she would be a perfect fit to the Hawks family.

Cody ‘Coyote’ he is the son of Talon so of course he was a badass and his a biker, so of course you would fall in love with him. Loved that the story started with him saving her from some bullies. I enjoyed the part that he didn’t rush her, he spent time with her got to know her and then moved onto the other parts of their relationship

And what would a MC book be without the drama and action. Which we had plenty of up until the end. Lila you freaked me out women but redeemed yourself again 😊 I can’t wait for the next book in this series… Ruin’s story??? Bring IT!! ♥

Reading next generation of the Hawks MC feels like coming home... to a massively hilarious and highly dysfunctional family, filled with favorite characters and unconditional love.

Entertaining and filled to the brim with hijinks from the usual crew, this story has enough twists and turns to satisfy even the most demanding of readers. I loved how the author skillfully wove the members we all know and love into the lives of the second generation of club members.

When Channa Edwards was in high school she became vulnerable to a sneak bully attack only to have one of the most mortifying moments of her life, what was worse was that Cody Marcus was the one to intervene. Channa didn't know Cody personally but her mother immediately moved them away only to return years later to open a bakery and find herself face to face with Cody, now known as Coyote as a member of the Hawks MC, fortunately he doesn't remember her. One moment Channa is doing her best to avoid all things Cody, the next she is helping a biker from his MC and putting herself in danger.

Coyote doesn't know what it is about Channa but he cannot get her out of his head. Something familiar about her but he is also entranced by her shyness. Coyote decides he wants to see where things will go with Channa but first he needs to get her to trust him and when she does will it be everything he hopes it will be?

This reminded me of Zara and Talons book a bit, but it was completely different. Channa was a wonderful character and I thought the way she overcame her past was inspiring. Cody was everything you wanted him to grow up to be. A lot of Zara, Talon and other favorites are in the book.

I haven't read a lot of books from this author so some of the names brought up, and there were many, I had no clue who they were. Thankfully I knew a couple and I didn't have a problem following this story. A little om drama from a guy she only thought of as a friend. The ow drama was from a club girl, he let her suck him off and now she wants to be his. I don't care for club girls, not my thing. I enjoyed the story, a little bit of a slow burn and I'm interested in seeing where the author goes with the next story.

How has 6ish years gone by that quickly?. I swear I read this late 2013 but my gr tells me January 2014 idk but seriously time had fucking flown. We first met Cody (thats my actual name btw!!!) way back in Holding out, book 1 in Hawks Motorcycle Club series. He was Talons son who's the hero in Holding Out with Zara his step mum being the heroine. It feels like yesterday I picked up that book and laughed my ass off through bitchslaps, crazy best friends, and a few scenes that have now been changed. I'm almost a little sad that it's come full circle and the kiddos are all grown and getting their own voices. It's safe to say I'm a fan. I've been there since near the beginning of this author's book journey and I'm so excited at how far it's come.

Cody aka Coyote is all grown and very much all man. Pheeewee. I wasn't ready for the kind of sweet and broody that is Cody. He's definitely his fathers son.

Channa is a sweet surprise. Her life hasn't been easy and her circle is small but she will surprise you with her strength in many ways.

These two gave me all the feels. Their journey starts off with quite a bang and I freaking loved it. It's action packed, sweet and swoony, hilarious and a little suspenseful. Cody know she familiar but can't quite place Channa at first. Channa is absolutely mortified when she's faced with the horrors of her past and does her best to avoid her night in leather like hell on wheels. When she can no longer hide and he realises why she knows him things get a whole lot more interesting. I loved that Cody gave her the time she needed to adjust and feel comfortable around him. He was sweet and attentive and so caught up in her it was freaking adorable. Even when he was in denial. Channa honestly cracked me up!. Her super awkward and shy moments had me creased on so many occasions I can't even. I loved that there was more to her and that she could kick ass. I really respected how honest she was about her feeling and fears. She just all round really likeable and easy to relate to.

These two had crazy chemistry. But it's more than that because they have a history and a sweet connection that you can just feel through the pages. The romance was slow but meaningful because they took their time and got to know one another before they really got to know eachother. The banter, the sass and the cheeky smirks thrown around.. it all had me all up in my feels in the best ways.

Their journey is full of so many unexpected twists and turns that will keep you on your toes but it's also super sweet, hilariously relatable and sexy AF. I LOVE the side characters and their crazy ass personalities.. they just bring so much life and love to the story. I loved it all and I'm so excited to see what comes next.... will it be Maya?.. will it be Swan????. I need to know.

Also... all hail Julian the queen of sassy snap backs and hilarious interventions. That man owns my soul.

First time reading a book by this author and I really enjoyed her writing. Definitely need to read Talons book (Coyotes dad). Not really an angsty book, it had good humor and mild drama throughout the book till the end when someone unexpected showed back up in Channa’s life. She was an awesome FMC and Coyote (Cody) was a great MMC. I wish we got more of an insight on their future.

I am a huge fan of Lila Rose so when I saw this new series she has started I knew I needed to get my hands on it right away!

Two of my favorite things to read about are bikers and bakers so this book was like heaven for me to read.

I knew from the moment I started this book it was gonna be good. In the first chapter, I already started highlighting quotes and couldn't stop smiling.

The Heroine Chenna was a dream heroine for me. She was a little shy, a lot of awkward, super fun, Badass when needed to (Believe me her badass moments are goals!), and a whole lot of loveable.

Cody Marcus was in my house. Cody bloody Marcus. Snap me in half and stuff me down the toilet. I’d forgotten he was a part of the Hawks.

Chenna owns her own bakery and when she one day go out and see the guy she both dreams about but also dreads ever meeting again she has no idea what to do with herself. Of course, that means she panics and ends up looking dumb and awkward (If you ask her) and that is what first gets Cody ''Coyote'' attention.

Each time I spent with her, I wanted to know more. I wanted to know it all, and I would.

Cody never seems to find the right girls. He dreams about a relationship like the one his parents have. But when he keeps ending up in the same space as Chenna he can't stop noticing her. When he finds out she is hiding something he is like a dog with a bone, he needs to know how Chenna knows his real name.

I loved how we get to see Cody from the very first book in the Hawk's MC series all grown up and his own type of badass biker. You meet some of the others from the first series and I loved every little glimpse I got of some of my favorite characters.

You as always in Lila Rose's Mc books get a lot of action, a show of alpha male vibes, the struggle of falling in love, and all in all the love in an MC Family. But not only that Chenna had some amazing and funny people in her life too!

“Channa, you’ve got the dogs, but I have a security system, guns, and a few other weapons.” My eyes widened. “Are they even legal?” “Let’s not worry about that.

Stanley is one of my favorite people in this book even though he is only a side character. He is Chennas friend and replacement dad. They work together and he is a little crazy but in the best possible way. If you have ever read the Rock Chicks By Kristen Ashley you know who Tex is. When I say Stanley reminds me a little of him you know why I just had to mention him! He made the story go from amazing to Incredible.

So have you read any of the other Hawk MC series from Lila Rose this is a must-read! Have you never tried Lila rose books before this can easily be read as a standalone but I am warning you you will become addicted and before you know it has read all her books... Just saying.

First book of Lila Rose new biker-series.
Coyote is the son of the clubs president. Many years ago he “saved” a girl from bullies, now they meet again.

Lila Rose makes funny and strong heroines that I tend to love. Channa is the towns baker and have a history of bulling at school and abuse at home. Coyote was the boy who saved her and she had a crush on.
Now they meet again years later and Channa is stronger then ever, impressing the club with her attitude and skills. I loved this!

This one had a lot of names and introductions of characters, that I had some problems with keeping up. I also felt like the “problem” this couple met was a bit far fetched. But it was a low angst, somewhat funny read that I enjoyed 🤩 Very predictable.

- No cheating
- OW/OM drama: Yes, both have suitors that can’t take a simple no
- Triggers: bullying, abuse (off page)

Coyote is book 1 of the Hawks MC Next Generation Series. If you've been keeping with the all the Hawks MC Series then you know that Coyote is Talon and Zara's son. The story focuses on Coyote and Channa.

Coyote is strong, dependable, caring, and he's a natural protector. He's also smart, loyal, and is a family man. He doesn't settle and wants to find the kind of love his parents have. Lucky for him he finds it when he least expects it.

Channa is independent, hard working, driven. She can be bada$$ one minute but then a klutzy, timid, bumbling goof the next. She's definitely unique. She's had a hard go at life and carries the scars of her past deep down. But she's finally in a place of peace, or so she thought. Her world gets tilted upside down after having a run in with a member of the MC.

I'd consider this book a second chance, friends to lovers romance. The plot was unpredictable, entertaining, easy to read, and had a good mix of action and humor. It was also fun to see where the OG's were at in life and how their children have grown. If you've been following the Hawks series from the very beginning, I have no doubt you'll enjoy this book.

I loved getting to know the next generation of Hawks MC. Lila Rose likes to snag you with realism that keeps you turning pages. Coyote is a lot like his father Talon who is Prez. I actually never read Talon and Zara's story. I actually started with Stoke. But I don't feel as if I missed out on anything. Sure, minor details are missing but the gist is there and you feel like you are part of the family and already know the tea.
My only real issue with this story is the abruptness of the drama. The whole book is a slow burn then wham! DRAMA! Serious drama that almost had me yelling at my phone. Then we hit bottom and it's over. I would have liked deeper drama for Channa and Coyote throughout the whole book. I feel it would give the story more depth and emotional response from readers. Still I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading all about the next generation.

The first of the Hawks MC next gen books and we're right back to the beginning of the original series with Talon and Zara's son, Cody. Now all grown up and going by "Coyote" Cody is a full fledged member of the MC who owns a Harley Shop. When one of his brothers is helped one night by a citizen the club promises protection, but there's something about their new charge, Channa, that seems familiar to him. The beautiful, shy but brave redhead seems to know him too. What is it about her that makes him feel that maybe he'll find what his parents have after all. Of course it wouldn't be a Hawks MC book without some drama though, and it's not just Channa it's aimed at. This was so good and it was fab seeing the old crew again. I can't wait to see more of the "kids" and them getting their HEA's like their parents. I enjoyed this and give Coyote 5 stars.

Just like that the children of Hawks MC have grown up and are now finding their HEAs. Starting out this new second gen series, Cody is up first. In a story that gives us all the feels, and I mean at one point I shed a few tears, this was such an amazing ride and I loved every minute of it. I give this 5 stars and am so excited to see what happens next!

I really enjoyed the suspense in this story. One minute everything is going fine and then BAM, I had a death grip on my iPad waiting to see what happened. The friendship and relationships were so real it was like a real life experience.

Channa just wanted peace after the life she endured. She wanted to fulfill hers and her mother’s dreams of running the bakery. She loved baking and her bakery. Being the owner didn’t leave her time for much of a social life. Then one day Cody aka Coyote walked into her life and everything was turned upside down. At the same time she started living.

Cody (Coyote) was the son of the MC Prez but he also owned his own Harley shop. He also worked too much. One phone call and walking into a stranger's house he knew she was familiar. Did he want to bring drama to her life? He couldn’t resist and it ended up being the best decision.

Channa may come across as timid and introverted but she is also strong and resilient as evidenced by everything she has endured and the success of the bakery she owns. She doesn’t allow many people close but when she comes to the aid of a stranger and finds herself in danger the Hawks MC and Cody give her the support she never knew she needed.

Cody was born and raised in the Hawks MC and owns a Harley business. He hasn’t had much luck when it comes to romance but when he sees Channa she brings out feelings in him he has never felt before. He knows that she is hiding something from him but he will show her by word and deed that she can trust him with her heart and her life.

Cody and Channa definitely had their obstacles but they prove that together there is nothing they can’t overcome.

OH...MY...GOD! This was everything I needed after a bad year and a super bad week. The oldies and the newbies all mixed in one whimsical, mind-boggling, craze-buzzing, heart-wrenching, butterfly-belly-filled extravaganza!
I screamed at everything new that was really just everything from the past coming into a new light, and I loved it. Kids being adults, the grown ups still being their fantastic selves, how things have shifted. My oh my.
And my emotions....
MY EMOTIONS! My emotions have been played on!

I absolutely adore Lila and her Hawks series.
I couldn't wait to read Coyote aka Cody Marcus and Channa book.
It sure didn't disappoint.

All the gang is there, I just love that the "kids" are now grown up and we are getting there books.

Cody has definitely grown up and is so like his dad.
Pure alpha when it comes to Channa, even though she is shy around him, fumbles her words but is totally a badass when she needs to be.

I read this in just a few hours as I couldnt put it down, I don't like to spoil books but Coyote was everything I wanted and more.

I now need books for Ruin, Texas and Maya please lol.

I absolutely love established series and when authors write about the kids of the established series. OMG!! I can’t believe The kids from the original Hawk MC are all grown up, but they are and they are getting their own stories. We watched Cody come into his own and become the prayers of the Hawk MC but he has always had a yearning for what his parents had. He finds it in Channa. They are perfect together. Chan a is sweet, strong and vulnerable at times making her relatable to most women. I can’t wait for the next installment of this series!!

It felt really good to return to the Hawks MC! This Next Generation series started out with minimal angst, a hunky leading man, a sweet & quietly kick-a** leading lady & cute supporting characters. It had the same vibe as the original series which is promising for future installments!

I would've loved more steam & a faster pace to the story but I'll definitely continue on with this series. Maya's, Drake's & Ruby's stories are calling to me the most! (Sorry, Ruin... just not feeling the Mimi thing.)

P.S. More guest appearances from Julian, please! :)

This couple was so cute. I love how Channa tried to fight it but like all the other Hawk men. Once they found their one, it was all over. There was some drama but I think the couple took it great and prevailed. Cody was way sweet and you can’t help but love him. I loved Channa from the start. She proved she wasn’t a weak or meek heroine and was the perfect match for a biker. 4 stars #2OCCJD

Where’d the plot go?

The blurb was good. The plot was there and then *poof* it was gone. And there was no plot. And the inner monologue of the h went on and on and on and on and on. I think the author was trying to make her funny but it just came off as childish. Even the men were childish. Yeah none of it worked for me. 2 stars is pushing it.

Coyote by Lila Rose is a very intriguing story about Channa and Cody. It was well written and dealt with some tough subject matter that I felt the author handled well. The secondary characters were a hoot and very protective of Channa. I felt Channa acted very childish in the beginning of the book, however her character grew on me and by the end of the book I loved her!
