As a traditional psychotherapist, Dr. Brian Weiss was astonished and skeptical when one of his patients began recalling past-life traumas that seemed to hold the key to her recurring nightmares and anxiety attacks. His skepticism was eroded, however, when she began to channel messages from "the space between lives," which contained remarkable revelations about Dr. Weiss's family and his dead son. Using past-life therapy, he was able to cure the patient and embark on a new, more meaningful phase of his own career.

A graduate of Columbia University and Yale Medical School, Brian L. Weiss M.D. is Chairman Emeritus of Psychiatry at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami.

Dr. Weiss maintains a private practice in Miami. In addition, Dr. Weiss conducts national and international seminars and experiential workshops as well as training programs for professionals.

"One day, I realized that all of those people on my trail would never be able to find me no matter how powerful they were if I hid myself behind one of the bushes on top of those mountains. It seemed like a dumb idea, but it calmed me down quite incredibly and helped me through those days.
And I started to enjoy sitting by that window and looking at all of that greenery. It was a beautiful forest out there, a really magnificent view."

I love Dr. Brian Weiss and am in the process of reading everything he has to say on regression therapy, meditation and living a life focused on healing, love and kindness, and doing the karmic reparations that we are meant to do. This is particularly helpful as an intro to meditation, so it's a great one to keep on the bedside table.

I read this book hoping for guidance with meditating during long medical treatments. The author claimed that a weekend of one of his patients meditating made two tumors disappear prior to her surgery, and quite frankly, it's disturbing to me that he's being given a platform to spread this kind of nonsense.
