This is the second book I read by April Pfender, the first which I strongly recommend was Essential Chakra Meditation. The Complete Guide to Chakras not only covers the seven known common chakras but dives into covering those that extend above and below our physical bodies. The book is divided into two parts. Part one is understanding the chakras: the body's energy system, regulating the energy centers, restoring balance to the chakras, and the mystical benefits of the chakras. Part two covers all twelve chakras in great detail. The author covers the names and meaning, color, location, estimated activation, body parts regulated by each Chakra, glands and senses associated with each, illnesses, functions, archetypes connected to each, personality of an individual when each Chakra is open, underactive and overactive chakras, balanced Chakras, deities and planets associated with each, and exercies for activating each Chakra. I highly recommend this book along with Essential Chakra Meditation for anyone on the spiritual path.
